Fun at the Faire
Mitzy & Erick’s date at the faire turns deadly during a jousting match. Mitzy goes undercover to help find clues. The clues lead them to an old foe. I love this series. It is original, well written with great characters. The stories will grab you from the first pages and take you on a fantastic adventure to the end. They will leave you wanting more. I look forward to reading the next book.
I loved reading this and finally reading about the sheriff and mitzy being together hope to read more about them together on adventures I couldnt put it down highly recommend reading
Mitzy Moon faire maid
Mitzy and Erik are finally going out and he takes her to a Renaissance Fair. Of course there is a murder which leads Mitzy to going uncover at the fair. There are some interesting turns and twists as well as the return of a bad guy. Definitely a must read. Oh, I should say, Twiggy and Silas are some interesting characters in this book.
I love Swords and Fallen Lords! This is a must read series! In this book Mitzy has an adventure at the Renaissance Faire. This book is fun and engaging. The characters are fantastic. I love Mitzy. This book is full of humor, adventure and mystery. I could not put the book down. The book is well written and unique. This series is one of my absolute favorites! I highly recommend this book!
Murder at the Ren Faire; what a wonderful book!
As always it took me no time at all to feel completely immersed in the story. And I was riveted the whole way through! The kind of story that leaves you in a daze after it ends. The kind of story where you get to fully escape to another world, this time a world of knights and swords. The renaissance faire.
This is a unique series that has its own personality, which sets it apart from other paracozies. It’s so well-written, with such a good flow and that one-more-chapter-ability.
Re-ow! Pyewacket can confirm.
Erick was quite heroic! Can’t tell you more, of course, just read it and enjoy!
Fave quote:
“A crash from somewhere in the bookshop startles me out of my silent analysis of the facts. Erick is out of his chair in a flash and motions for me to keep quiet. “Stay here,” he whispers.
Has he met me?” Lol, so much humor coming from Mitzy, I laughed out loud!
Another amazing book in this series.
I absolutely loved reading this book.
One of my favorites so far. And I love that
Mitzy and Erick are officially a couple.
Can’t wait to read the next book in this series…
I chose to read this book after receiving a free e-copy. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.
I read the first six books in this series, and I really enjoyed them, so I was happy to read this book when it was available.
Mitzy Moon finally has a family since she inherited her grandmother’s bookstore. She’s gotten to know her father and Grams (in her ghostly form). All of the main characters are unique, flawed, and loveable. Mitzy is clumsy, smart, and hilarious. Grams is a force of nature. Erick, the sheriff may be the closest to perfect any person can get, but that may be because he’s seen through Mitzy’s eyes.
When Mitzy’s first official date with Erick ends in murder, they are both on the case. He’s gotten to the point that he knows she’s going to investigate murders on her own, so she’s now his CI. Mitzy is developing her psychic gifts, and they can often be useful, but she has a hard time explaining where she gets the information from her visions.
I always like the Mitzy Moon stories. They’re laugh out loud funny and suspenseful. I was happy to see Mitzy and the sheriff starting to date…finally! I’m looking forward to number eight!
Mitzy Moon and sheriff Eric Harper seem to finally be a couple and he is taking her to her first renaissance faire where he acts really nerdy, but as Mitzy is getting into the fun of the faire a Knight is killed during the jousting, right in front of everyone’s eyes. Mitzy’s clairvoyant powers are on the increase and her mood ring tunes her, by giving subtle hints every so often, so she is immediately caught up in the action and involved in solving her next murder mystery case. This time around she works closely with Eric, and they share information as she goes undercover, and takes a job at the faire selling pickles. As usual her grandma ghost and her caracal Pyewacket do their own helping to aid in solving the case. Mitzy is like a magnet for trouble and the evil villain is back at his criminal actions but will he get caught this time around? I just love the light-hearted humour in which these cases are written and find that I always look forward to some light hearted reading as soon as I manage to get my hands on the latest book by Trixie Silvertale and I am already looking forward to our next mystery case.
Wonderful! I enjoyed this one as much as the previous ones. Glad her and the chief are finally getting closer. Is the Deputy jealous of them? Is that why the Deputy is so grumpy? Love reading this series and it is a great series to re-read, more than once.
I think this was the best one yet. I really enjoy Mitzy and Erick being a team. Though the relationship between Mitzy and Erick feels like we are back in the 1800s or early 1900s sometimes. Or maybe it feels like they are teenangers and not the adults that they are. I guess in a way it could be kind of sweet to be like they are but in this day in age it seems backwards. The grime and investigation were interesting. It was also neat to see inside Silas’s house. I do enjoy this series. I always laugh and have a good time reading it.
*I received a free copy of this book from Hidden Gems and am voluntarily giving my honest opinion*
Another enjoyable story. I tell you Mitzy is getting stronger all the time. I am worried about Grams. She should not be forgetting so much. Maybe we will find out what is going on with her in the next story.I always enjoy Mitzy’s humor and I like the way she goes all quite and can’t breath right when the Sheriff -too-hot to handle is half dressed. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Mitzy’s magical powers are growing with each new mystery, and now she’s actually working with Sheriff Harper (Sheriff-too-hot-to-handle) as a CI. This time the mystery is found at the Renaissance Faire which is a very big deal in Pin Cherry Harbor in almost-Canada. There are a lot of twists and suspects in this one, making it a great deal of fun to read. Definitely recommend!
This is the 7th installment for our heroine Mitzy Moon.
This time around she dresses up, ready to sell pickles, while all along solving a murder at the Renaissance Faire.
With all this happening, she still finds time to be romanced by Sheriff – Too Hot To Handle – Harper.
Another great romp by Trixie Silvertale. Its funny and has you falling in love with Grams and Pyewacket all over again.
I have listened to the Audible version. Coleen Marlo does an amazing job and really brings the characters to life. I can’t wait for installment #8.
Trixie Silvertale does it again! Since Mitzy and Erick are officially a couple now, the book opens with them on a date – to the Renaissance Faire! Mitzy is a bit overwhelmed at first. Trying to take in all of the costumes and live-action-role-play has her head spinning. The main event is the Jousting tournament and Erick tries to quickly get them the best seats in the stadium. (if you’ve ever been to Medieval Times, you’ll understand). But what’s a Ren Faire without a murder? At least in Mitzy’s world, that’s how things usually go.
Erick loses no time getting down to the stadium floor to block the escape of the Black Knight who has fatally stuck the Lord Mayor with his lance. But it turns out the Black Knight is being played by a high-school friend of the Sheriff’s. Could he really be guilty? Mitzy uses her film-school knowledge to help and discovers that the tip of the lance was likely hidden by a bulb of sugar glass – and good quality sugar glass at that. Who in Pin Cherry Harbor has the talent to create it? Once again, Mitzy pulls the “CI” card with the Sheriff and manages to identify a killer while coming awfully close to danger herself.
Ms. Silvertale does a great job of only including enough backstory to keep the story going. In fact, this book had a lot fewer of the regular cast of characters than most of her books. I enjoyed the storyline, but I did miss some of the regulars. The book is a quick read and ends on a cliffhanger so you’ll be sure to anxiously await book 8.
Another fabulous installment in the life and times of Mitzy Moon! I love these books and cannot wait for the next one to come out. Each one builds on the previous ones, but can also be read individually without starting the series at the beginning. However, I recommend reading them all, in order to get a deeper insight into each character and how they have evolved. Especially the painful journey of Mitzy and sheriff too hot to handle’s relationship. Mitzy is a fun loving gal with some interesting abilities that is always getting wrapped up in somebody’s murder and, along with it, trouble. However, in this book, Mitzy seems a little more put together and in her realm – just a little. Despite her reluctance to attend the Renaissance Faire. In each of these books I find myself talking, more like yelling, to the characters in the book. Especially when, in this book, I was surprised by who reappeared and was behind the troubles and the Renaissance Faire.
Mitzy is FINALLY getting to date her hunky sheriff! When he takes her to the annual Ren Faire she’s delighted and surprised by the things that she sees. Some of the surprises aren’t fun at all, especially when the jousting turns deadly. You won’t want to miss this mystery where Mitzy’s film school experience helps her find clues about the real knave.
This is an absolutely hilarious, I can’t put it down, wow I didn’t see that coming, page turner that will keep you up late reading and laughing out loud!
I’m hooked! I can’t wait to see what will happen in the next book and I’m loving listening to the audio versions narrated by Colleen Marlo as they are released. I simply can’t get enough of Mitzy Moon, her ghost-ma, Piewacket and all of the other wonderful characters in this series!
I like this series more with each book. Mitzy and Erick are on a date at the renaissance faire when one of the knights, during a joust, is murdered. It seems cut and dried, but there is so much more to it. This time, Erick is more receptive of Mitzy’s help. I like that these two are getting closer. Good mystery.
This is the best one yet! I really am impressed that Trixie Silvertale manages to keep each book fresh, the characters growing, and the stories fun. You won’t be disappointed!
Who knew a renaissance faire could be so deadly? Good thing Sheriff Eric Harper and Mitzy Moon are there to work the case!
These books get better with each one! I’m so glad that we learned why Mitzy keeps saying “copy that” because it was really driving me crazy! Lol! But really, her snarky humor and interactions with her Ghost-ma are so much fun! I have the hardest time waiting for the next book to come out!
This series never gets old to me. Each new release is fresh, fun, delightful, and sure to male you smile. Lots of great one-liners.
Mitzi Moon is adorable, funny, klutzy, and vulnerable. I have loved seeing her evolve throughout the course of this series. She has evolved in her ability to trust and feel part of a family. Her relationship with Sheriff Erick Harper (aka Sheriff-Too-Hot-to-Handle) is progressing. And she is slowly mastering her paranormal skills with the guidance from alchemist Silas Willoughby.
This “episode” is set at a Renaissance Faire. I am not a fan of these faires so I was slow to get into this one, but the story was still fun. I prefer more involvement with the core characters, yet this one introduced me to new members of the community so expect they may appear again in future “episodes”. But, of course, Pye is always there to lend his wisdom.
Mitzy makes me smile and laugh. These books are a welcome break from today’s reality. They don’t have a lot of meat but have tons of heart. Keep them coming, Trixie!
