Released from the magic pokey and paroled with limited power is enough to make any witch grumpy. However, if you throw in a recently resurrected cat, a lime-green Kia and a sexy egotistical werewolf, it’s enough to make a gal fly off the edge. Not to mention a mission…with no freaking directions. So here I sit in Asscrack, West Virginia trying to figure out how to complete my mysterious mission … mysterious mission before All Hallows Eve when I’ll get turned into a mortal. The animals in the area are convinced I’m the Shifter Whisperer (whatever the hell that is) and the hotter-than- asphalt-in-August werewolf thinks I’m his mate. Now apparently I’m slated to save a bunch of hairy freaks of nature?
If they think I’m the right witch for the job, they’ve swallowed some bad brew.

Switching Hour is the first book in the Magic and Mayhem series and this was just a great way to start off a new series. I just absolutely loved getting to enter this world and meet these new characters. I just had so much fun and I was just so sad to turn the last page. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
An enjoyable story hidden behind some really bad writing quirks. Too many nickname changes for characters. Too much explicit romance that could have been summed up in a sentence.
So fun and delightful with a pinch of gas sex and magik. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
Format: audiobook
Narrator: Stephanie Reggio
I really enjoyed this story, right from the off I liked the main character, Zelda is quirky, selfish, sassy and sarcastic but obviously her heart is good (even if she tries to deny it) and when we’re first introduced to her familiar, a cat called Fabio that as it happens she was in magical jail for killing, I couldn’t help but chuckle.
Narrator was perfect, great story full of great characters that I’ve just added this author to my tbr list.
Could have been much better without such vulgar language. The story was good, but the language turn off to the rest of the series
Zelda is a witch who screwed up and spent some time in witch prison. In order to prevent being turned into a mortal, Zelda has to successfully complete her mission. The problem? She has no clue exactly what that mission entails.
Zelda wonders if she needs to investigate / avenge her Aunt’s death. Zelda is distracted by a bunch of hurt shifters who believe she is the shifter whisperer. Throw in a hot alpha shifter by the name of Max and Zelda’s world just got a whole lot more complicated. Good insta-attraction between Mac and Zelda without being ridiculous.
Author tried a little too hard with the snarkiness between Zelda and her cellmate. I did love the banter between Zelda, Mac, and all of the other shifters. That felt more authentic.
Some funny scenes throughout the book as is to be expected from Peterman’s writing. Overall a lighthearted read. I’ll definitely continue the series.
This book was so much fun! Loved it.
Great Read!
Witty writing. Would like to read the others.
Fun book.
Easy quick amusing read
love the book
The book would have been a lot better without the descriptive sex. Otherwise, a good book.
What a hoot! I loved it
Definitely fun to read!
I loved this book can’t wait to read the next in the series!
