Released from the magic pokey and paroled with limited power is enough to make any witch grumpy. However, if you throw in a recently resurrected cat, a lime-green Kia and a sexy egotistical werewolf, it’s enough to make a gal fly off the edge. Not to mention a mission…with no freaking directions. So here I sit in Asscrack, West Virginia trying to figure out how to complete my mysterious mission … mysterious mission before All Hallows Eve when I’ll get turned into a mortal. The animals in the area are convinced I’m the Shifter Whisperer (whatever the hell that is) and the hotter-than- asphalt-in-August werewolf thinks I’m his mate. Now apparently I’m slated to save a bunch of hairy freaks of nature?
If they think I’m the right witch for the job, they’ve swallowed some bad brew.

Funny and interesting story. Quick read.
I am a huge fan of R.P.’s books. Her Hot Damned is my favorite series ever. I am so excited to finally get to dive into this series and she doesn’t disappoint! Funny, different and full of foul mouthed but lovable characters that you can’t help but get attached too. From witch prison to the middle of no where does killing a familiar that wasn’t dead she’s not ready for the crazy headed her way. If you love creative cursing or name replacing, funny one liners and crazy characters pretty much anything from this author is a good bet! The narrator did good she did great with her voices but she just isn’t my fave but hoping she grows in me as the series goes
A fun read, very enjoyable
Witches, shifters, and crazy magic!
Flagrantly misuse your magic (and maybe accidentally run over your familiar) and you will wind up sentenced to magic jail. Zelda is just killing time until it’s time for her release, her magic is restored, and she can resume her “me-centered” existence, but the Council has other ideas. Due to the severity of her crimes, Baba Yaga and the Council are putting her on probation. Her magic will be limited and she must complete an assigned selfless task by midnight on All Hallows Eve or she will lose her magic forever and become mortal. Not fair!
I totally did not see this plot coming! It is hilarious and the characters were uniquely odd, even for paranormals. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series.
A little childish at times, but not in a bad way. Fun to read with a character that I wouldn’t mind revisiting.
Loved this story and beautifullly written.
It was good but a little too much foul, gross language, some weird references about the cat cleaning himself.
I loved the sass and humor of the authors writing and her characters. This was a fun, sexy, romantic, action filled read and heartwarming at the same time. I can’t believe I waited so long to read any of Peterman’s books. Well now I have so much to look forward to.
This was a great book! Wonderful characters, funny, witty, unusual, with a great storyline.
No redeeming qualities.
This was a horrible book. The characters were unlikable and the story poorly written.
Couldn’t finish this one. Funny but light on story. If you are a woman looking for something light, funny, and masturbatory give it a try.
Loved the story, some of the bad language I could do without.
By page 26 I knew that I would not be reading any more books in this series.
The writer seemed to want to get a large enough page count to justify a full novel, and her creative method? A cat with a speech impediment. By the 7th time I read “Thhhhhhhhhank yooooooou. That would be loooovely” I was irritated and done with the book.
If you’re willing to deal with poor character development, a LOT of descriptions of Zelda’s clothes, poor prose and a “twist ending” that everyone – except Zelda – can see coming from a mile away, then by all means, go for it.
Kept me coming back. Very entertaining!
Lots of fun
I enjoyed this book because it s a fun book. no heavy plot just fun.
This author has great characters, witty dialogue and builds an interesting world with plenty of fun and action. However, she loads up page after page with graphic pornography. These books should come with an “X” rating
Love Love Love her books, I’ve read them all
You kiss your mother with that mouth! Loved it.
