Released from the magic pokey and paroled with limited power is enough to make any witch grumpy. However, if you throw in a recently resurrected cat, a lime-green Kia and a sexy egotistical werewolf, it’s enough to make a gal fly off the edge. Not to mention a mission…with no freaking directions. So here I sit in Asscrack, West Virginia trying to figure out how to complete my mysterious mission … mysterious mission before All Hallows Eve when I’ll get turned into a mortal. The animals in the area are convinced I’m the Shifter Whisperer (whatever the hell that is) and the hotter-than- asphalt-in-August werewolf thinks I’m his mate. Now apparently I’m slated to save a bunch of hairy freaks of nature?
If they think I’m the right witch for the job, they’ve swallowed some bad brew.

Love this author!
Part of the free limited time My Paranormal Valentines set <3 YAY!!
This is a perfectly silly, sexy, lighthearted read full of woodland shifters and sassy witches. A great escape from the dreary and serious. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for Zelda next! <3
Like some laughter with your paranormals? Definitely give this one a try! 🙂
Love this author’s characters!!! Great find in the My Paranormal Valentine anthology.
So much hilarious magic and mayhem! Part of My Paranormal Valentine collection for a limited time!
Very funny story! At times the scenes seemed a little disjointed and the flow was off somehow but I still
laughed most of the way through. Would read the next one by her. Ended a little too perfectly but was still a page-turner. I would recommend it as a great Halloween romantic comedy.
The Switching Hour was the perfect paranormal romance to get me out of a funk. It was a light and funny. It definitely had a lot of action and wild animals, but Zelda brought the humour and wit. The cat started off as the most annoying character I had every heard, but I quickly grew a fondness for him. For as outlandish as this book was at times, I still found myself laughing out loud and enjoying the characters.
This is the book that started it all…Robyn wrote the original six books and then invited some lucky folks (including me) to write in what is now known as the Magic and Mayhem Universe. But book one is a classic. Hilarity and chaos ensue as witch Zelda is sent to Assjacket, West Virginia to become the town’s new Shifter Whisperer…or Wanker as she prefers to be called. What she doesn’t count on is a reanimated familiar, a tag-a-long new best witchy friend, and a close encounter with the town’s alpha…who is really too hot for his own good. One of my favorite alphas…there is no asshole here. Just good sweet lovin. So come visit, stay awhile, and enjoy this series from the quintessential queen of a raucous good time, Robyn Peterman. BEWARE: YOU ARE LIKELY TO SHOOT LIQUIDS OUT YOUR NOSE AND TEST THE STRENGTH OF YOUR BLADDER WHILE LAUGHING HYSTERICALLY. Seriously. You’ve been warned.
Zelda is a witch on a mission and a recent parolee from Witchy incarceration. There is so much more to this tiny nowhere town in West Virginia where she lands with her recently resurrected familiar. Her cat, that she killed accidentally, shows up on her drive into town. Killing the cat was her reason for being jailed. Now she has to deal with him and many surprises that follow.
This rag tag group of shifters draw Witch Zelda in and make her feel amazingly useful. Something she has never felt. Yet because of her rather lackluster upbringing she doubts herself and her powers. Fun, sexy read — good for a beach day or a rainy day!
I’m so looking forward to the next book in this series.
Loved the sassy witch. This story was funny and original. Though I saw some things coming others were a surprise. She cracked me up the whole time. I will be reading the next book.
This was a fun read. I marked it down a star because of the repetition. By the time I finished, the play on names and licking references, which were funny the first two times, were redundant and not humorous in the least by the end of the book. Do not think I can read the next, as the teaser for the next story, started with the same redundancy.
On magical parole and dealing with a familiar cat that has an unhealthy obsession with licking his gonads is a recipe for a funny story. It’s full of the authors special brand of humour and out of this world imagination.
You can’t go wrong with this book. I also recommend the Hot Damned Series from the author.
Received this book free. I loved this series so far. This book was strange and funny in a good way. I loved the baby demons, and Ethan and Astrid make a great couple. There is so much going on everywhere u turn. Really loved this book. Astrid got sucked down to hell and had to preform a service for Satan before she could go home. Read to find out the details.
Delightful to read. Author has an inventive an expressive vocabulary for the main character, which gave her a uniqueness I loved. The characters are full and complex and made the whole story come to life. The only thing I wanted was more story. It was entirely to short which I believe is because it was just so good I didn’t want it to end.
This was a fun read.
I love this author, she has the most brilliant and fun imagination ever, and I love the rollercoaster ride she always takes us all along. Just good take me away from this boring life type of literature that works!
Fun
