She takes chances and speaks her heart….very independent and strong. Sten is very cautious and hard-working but is afraid to get hurt. Can Maddy overcome the family secrets and find love again, both with her newfound relatives and new man? Or will she return to Hollywood to pursue her lifelong dreams? I absolutely love this novel and appreciate Christine creating characters that really are well-thought out and plots that draw you in and tug your heart strings!

What a great addition to the Bravos family story!!
Madison’s story is a continuation of the Bravos family story and is a great story. I loved the way that Madison takes control of her life while trying to wrestle with the surprise twist of her birth. Christine Rimmer writes a compelling story and truly shows how privacy should be valued. I love how she ties in Sten’s extended family into the story and how Madison graciously handles even her smallest fan.
I loved, loved, loved this book. Switched at Birth is the latest edition to Christine Rimmer’s Bravo Series The Bravos of Valentine Bay. Switched at Birth can also be read as a stand alone. I highly recommend you add this book to your to be read list.

Switched At Birth By Christine Rimmer.
Madison Delaney and Sten Larson are the main characters.
Madison is a famous actress who comes to Valentine Bay to meet her family after learning she was switched at birth. She has a hard time coming to terms with everything and Sten helps her with the help of his family. They fall and love and have to figure out how to go forward. I really enjoyed this Bravo book. I recommend this book to anyone looking for a good book to read.
You’re America’s sweetheart. You have a ton of money. You live a charmed life in Los
Angeles. Then you find out, you’re a fraud. You’re not who you think you are, and the reality of your ‘new’ family is getting closer. You’re also burnt out and tired of the Hollywood scene. Should you take a chance and see what your biological family is like? Madison Delaney must make some difficult choices, and soon.
You’ve always done what’s expected. Your family depends on you. You’ve always been the steady, even tempered person that everyone looks to for advice and help. You’re not sure you’re that person any longer. Sten Larson finds himself looking at the woman renting his cottage next door with more than neighborly thoughts. Where will this lead?
With the angst Madison feels when she decides to go forward with introducing herself to her birth family, and understanding how she was switched at birth, Sten is by her side. When the Hollywood photographers and gossip mongers find her in Valentine’s Bay, Sten is by her side. Sten is sure he’s not right for Madison. Madison is not sure where her career is going or what will happen in her near or distant future.
This is a perfect addition to the Valentine’s Bay Bravo family. I love that Ms. Rimmer brings back some of the earlier characters from this series so we can ‘catch up’ with what’s going on in their lives. Spend some time with old and new friends in Valentine’s Bay. A very enjoyable read.
Madison Delaney , Hollywood actress and usually referred to as America’s Sweetheart has a secret. She has found out that she was switched at birth by Martin Durand with Aislinn Winter. How can it be that her real parents were George and Marie Bravo? She has come to believe this but she still wasn’t ready to meet her brothers and sisters. George and Marie Bravo died during a trip to Thailand so she would never know them. Yet here she was stayimg in a rental cottage in Valentine Bay. It was peaceful here – no paparazzi to deal with. She was just relaxing and enjoying watching her sexy landlord Sten Larson working next door in his workshop. It was so pleasant fantasizing about him and seriously considering her plan to end her acting career. Then his niece, Coco saw her and recognized her as Eliza in the Disney movie The Wild Swans. Thus began a more intimate relationship with Sten Larson.
For his part Sten Larson couldn’t bring himself to believe Madison really planned to leave her acting career and move to Valentine Bay. He knew Madison loved him and he was falling in love with her. But could this really work? Could they really have their HEA?
Switched at Birth by Christine Rimmer is part of her The Bravos of Valentine Bay series. The author has done an excellent job of writing a sweet yet sexy story of two people falling in love. Both Madison and Sten have obstacles to overcome but true loves does seem to always find a way. This is a lovely story and I really enjoyed how the author wrote two characters who were meant to be together and how they found their way. Christine Rimmer is to be commended on her story-telling ability.
Wonderful entry in the Bravos of Valentine Bay series. I have been looking forward to Madison’s story ever since the switch was revealed in Almost a Bravo. Unlike Aislinn, who had her whole family there to support her and help her through the crisis, Madison was alone. The family had been trying for months to get in touch with Madison, but have been stonewalled by her agent and assistant. They finally reached out to their cousin Jonas (The Bravo Billionaire) who was able to gain access to Madison’s home.
Madison woke up on her birthday, ready for her tradition of setting her goals for the next year. Though she thought she had no idea what to put down, she was stunned by the goals her subconscious revealed. Her contemplation of those goals was interrupted by Jonas’s arrival. Her world was completely upended by the news of the baby switch and what it could mean for her. Within a week she found a beach cottage to rent in Valentine Bay, where she could lie low, think about her plans for the future, and work up the nerve to meet her unknown family.
Madison’s next door neighbor and owner of the cottage was Sten Larson. Sten shares his home with his father, widowed sister, and her son and daughter. I loved his close relationship with them all. His sister’s teasing and “guidance” are spot on, and received with the expected appreciation . I especially loved seeing him with his niece and nephew. They were adorable, and it’s obvious that he’d make a great father.
I loved the development of the relationship between Madison and Sten. It was cute to see how Madison watched him from a distance at first, believing that he was married and a dad. She was drawn to him but thought he was off limits. Once she discovered he was available, however, she was determined to get to know him better. She was a bit creative in her method, but it did get him to her house. It was fun to see how amused he was, but he was also intrigued. Once he found out about her connection to the Bravos, he tried to encourage her to take that final step and get to know them. I ached for Madison because she was so nervous and stressed over the idea. It created a little strain between her and Sten because he would sometimes push a little too hard. I loved the time that she and Sten spent together doing ordinary things, and how it reinforced her decisions about the changes she wanted to make in her life. The more time they spent together, the more the attraction and connection deepened also. Madison fell hard and fast for Sten, but he fought his feelings all the way. He had been badly hurt in a past relationship, and it affected the way he looked at what he and Madison shared. I wanted to shake Sten at times because he refused to see that Madison was nothing like Ella. I hurt for Madison and loved how she didn’t give up on him. The ending was sweet and emotional as Sten finally broke free of his fears. I adored the epilogue with the look at their future.
I loved seeing the other side of the switched babies story. Aislinn had such a hard time dealing with the news that I wasn’t sure how it would go for Madison. Her initial shock was understandable. I liked that it didn’t take her long to accept the truth. The hard part for her was taking that final step to get to know the family. Though Sten pushed a bit hard, he also believed that it was something she needed to face sooner rather than later. He offered her all the support she could want. I loved the first meeting between Madison and her siblings. It was especially neat to see the closeness between herself and Aislinn. There was an interesting twist involving one of her brothers that makes me very anxious to read his story.
Fantastic story. Wasn’t bored. Will read this one again.
