For years, I thought I’d never be free. Until they found me. For months, I thought I had to fight every day to show I’m strong. Until they grew tired and sent me away. Within minutes of arrival, I found home. With him. The savior of my story. Burn. VP of the Royal Bastards MC and curator of the club’s underground fighting world. He saw in me what others could not. I owe him my life… But hope … could not.
I owe him my life…
But hope he’ll accept my heart in its place.

This is superb writing. Real grit and just raw. Switch and Burn has real characters. All right, with great character development, they seem so real to me. Just really amazing story that gripped me from that start.
This was dark, dirty and twisty. Just how I like them. Reading through some of Switch’s past was heartbreaking. Reading about what happened to Burn was grueling. But somehow, these two men work together in a way that is just right for them.
This wasn’t a fairytale type romance. And it wasn’t a version of love that looks familiar to many of us. But it was definitely love. This all consuming, can’t think of anything but protecting and possessing type of love. It was magnificent.
Don’t expect roses. They won’t be here. But you will find a story that is unique and engrossing.
PERFECTION! This story is raw, rough, crude, real, heart and gutwrenching, dark and violent; but it’s also stunningly beautiful.
The depths of the emotions I and the characters feel is beyond anything. I have rarely, rarely read such an amazingly well put together story. The depravity and darkness the characters have transcended though, the love and heart and beauty in them and their love, it’s gorgous. I wan’t more from this MC chapter, from these broken damaged men. This story makes my favorites list and my top reads of the year list.
My first read by Bink Cummings. Quick read centered around the MC and their fight club. MM romance well written concentrating on their feelings and their fight trying to figure it out.
I purchased this book via Amazon and am leaving my review. While technically this story is part of a multi author series, this can be read as a standalone.
Triggers: M/M, murder, assault, flashbacks to torture, sex trafficking of children, revenge on abusers
**spoilers**
This is my first book by this author. It is a quick read with a difficult storyline. It is part of the Royal Bastards MC series but there is really nothing to that other than a mention of it. This story is about Burn, the VP and son of the Pres (who apparently is a loser and thats all we know) Burn at one point was kidnapped and tortured. Prefers keeping to himself.
Switch, nobody knows his real name, a young man taken as a child and endured years of sex abuse and torture.
A different chapter of the RBMC rescues Switch but after trying to get him help, they bring him to Burns Idaho chapter. (From a few dropped hints, it seems this chapter is full of men with traumatic pasts) Because Switch appears to have anger issues (no surprise here) they start him on a boxing regimen to get his anger out.
Right from the beginning, there seems to be a bond, a connection between Burn and Switch. The author did a good job having their relationship progress.
A fleeting bit of drama, a few flashbacks..Burn admits that Switch is his. Switch wants to belong to Burn. HEA I think.
Unlike some of the other books in this series, this one is more of a slow burn, with a lot of emotion. I blew through this story. To have an M/M book that turned out like this is so heart breaking and emotional, I could NOT put it down. I adored this story! A must read!!
Bink has done it again. Wrote an amazing book.. Love her writing and this was just as amazing as anything she’s ever written!!! Cant wait for the next Bink book!!!!
Omg what a heart breaking story, honestly so much pain and abuse, suffering from such a young age. His life stolen and treated far worse than any animal, until he ends up with Burn. This story was painful but I gradually saw some light creep in, a bit of hope and a love start to build. It got pretty hot and steamy from then on. Seeing this beautiful person come alive and learn to live a life, his demon still there but also learning that there was good there not just evil, I could understand it still needing some revenge for all that had been taken. I was engrossed deep into this so far that it ended when I was turning a page expecting more, it left me almost stuttering. Burn and Switch, I really do want more…
