I’m that guy.Camilla Landry rustles against me, the silky fabric of her overpriced lingerie slipping along my bruised rib. The porcelain perfection of her skin is even more innocent against the colorful ink dotting my own. It’s demure meets damaged, pampered meets punctured. So, yeah, it’s obvious I’m that guy. Dominic Hughes. Her attempt at rebellion. Her bid to see what the other side of the … other side of the tracks feel like. I’m okay with being used because, from where I’m sitting, the other side of the tracks have never looked so good.
A contemporary standalone romance.

Adriana Locke is one of those authors that you know is going to deliver an awesome story and she didn’t not disappoint with this conclusion to the Landry family series. I love Camilla in this book, she grows up and isn’t afraid to fight for what she wants she becomes independent and puts her brothers in their place a time or two. Dom is a fighter in every sense of the word. They both seem to have one foot out the door, but you know opposites attract!!
I am going to miss this series, in every book I have loved revisiting the Landry family. Their relationships and the love they have for each other will warm your heart.
Adriana Locke writes a pretty fantastic family story- Have you met the Landrys? She also writes a pretty fantastic fighter story- Sacrifice anyone? The equation makes sense. Landry+Fighter=Storytime MAGIC
Swink is the 5th book in the Landry series, but you can start here. As a self proclaimed Landry superfan, I couldn’t wait to meet the youngest of the crew, Camilla, aka Swink. She’s amazing. She’s tough. She’s giving. She loves with her whole heart. She’s an amazing match for Dominic. He’s protective, loyal, and hardworking. These two have a relationship that is off the charts hot.
Now, this wouldn’t be a true Locke classic if it didn’t have a little angst, pull a little heart string, make you feel a little something. This bound to happen when you have the rich girl falling for the guy from the wrong side of the tracks. We also get to see those Landry boys pop in and out- Hi Linc .
I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed Dom and Cam. How their relationship developed. Getting to know them through themselves and through each other. I loved their struggle. The family dynamic is strong, the wit and humor is there. The sexytimes make you want to sign your SO up for an MMA class.
Go give Dom and Cam a chance. Fall in love with another Landry. Fall in love with another fighter. Just do it.
Couldn’t wait until this book and it did not disappoint!!!
Definitely excited! Though I’m not through with it yet, I can’t believe that Dom and Camilla are so absolutely perfect for each other that it hurts my heart! I hope it doesn’t disappoint- though of course, Adriana has never disappointed with her Landry books. 😉
5 When the Bad Boy is the Right Choice Stars!!!
Adriana Locke has done it again!!! This book has it all; sexy and strong alpha male who’s quite the dirty talker, a beautiful woman who’s all about him and can’t seem to get enough of him and a storyline that I absolutely fell in love with!
Let me tell you, these two are the epitome of polar opposites. Dominic Hughes is blue collar to his core while Camilla Landry is the youngest member of the Landry siblings who has never had to worry about where her next meal is coming from. Even with all the things going against them, the one thing that can’t be denied is the chemistry between them that I felt as I was reading this fabulous book. It’s so powerful that it was practically setting my kindle on fire!
The one thing neither of them expected was to fall in love. And they fought it that’s for sure. Cam didn’t give her family the credit they deserve in how they would accept him in her life and their family, after the initial “oh no he won’t” conversations.
I felt the gamut of emotions with this book too. Dom and his brother Nate had a childhood I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy and in fact while reading the part when Dom gives Cam the details of how they grew up, I had tears running down my face. This is another example of why I love reading Ms. Locke’s words. She has the uncanny ability to bring the reader right into the heart of the story and when you least expect it, BAM! the story goes someplace you’re not expecting it to but it makes it that much richer!
When I got to the end of this fifth book in a series that has become one of my all time series, I had a complete sense of satisfaction. An amazingly hot, sexy and dirty love story in which there was a range of emotions I didn’t expect? CHECK! Update and shenanigans of ALL the Landry brothers? CHECK! A story that consumed me from beginning to end? CHECK!!
Wow. Just wow.
This is the last book in the Landry Family Series (Sienna’s story will start off a new series). Adriana Locke does NOT disappoint. This story brings the finale that I think readers absolutely deserve and will love.
The author has been teasing us about Cam and her mystery man for the last couple books. But now, we finally meet Dominic Hughes and he was worth the wait. So worth it!
From the blurb, readers know that Dominic and Camilla are not coming from the same playing fields, status wise. I normally don’t go for that trope because it tends to be the woman trying to fix the guy. This book is not that. I loved that the author made the love between Cam and Dom about them. The other societal factors come in, but at the end of the day, they work well together because of just them. Not money, not status, etc.
I don’t know how intentional this was, but I appreciated seeing some of the stresses that Cam was facing. I think when you read the story, or just think about it, she’s considered the Princess of Savannah. But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have problems, thoughts, feeling.s. It went deeper than just Cam though. In the other books, we’ve seen the brothers find love and being a society man is very different than being a society woman. It really hits home during a scene at a charity event. You realize all the pressures that are on Camilla.
Dom’s character is incredible. I aligned with him. You could see why he wanted to shelter Cam from parts of his world. It was heartbreaking and yet I related to it immensely. Even though Dom might see himself as damaged goods, he isn’t. He’s got a past, like everyone does. I loved seeing he and Cam both grow as the story continued. Both characters have things they need to overcome.
I truly can’t recommend this book enough. I absolutely adored it. What a way to end the Landry Family series. I actually feel somewhat speechless; this book is THAT amazing.
Reviewing for A Published Romance
*I volunteered to review a Copy of this book from the Author*
Thank you so very much Ms.Locke!! I am so extremely honored and grateful!! 🙂
5 I Need You Stars!!
Having read every book in this series from the start my happiness from seeing these beauties land on my kindle is a feeling I’ll never forget. I had a freak out when I saw this one. I may have even squealed and did a happy dance, Judge me. I have been waiting for Camilla’s book ever since she was introduced. It did NOT disappoint!! Holy Cow!! I absolutely loved it!! It was everything I wanted it to be and more so much more.
It rocked my world!! It was so nice seeing the Landry family once again. They have to be my favorite overprotective, crazy, and adorable bunch!! I was so glad that it told in Dual POV’s. It was so nice knowing both sides to their story and finding out everything about them. I connected with the hero and heroine even more that way. I got choked up so many times, laughed till it hurt, smiled so bright, and had my heart warmed by the beauty of love – the good times and bad.
Dominic and Camilla’s story wasn’t an easy one. They were two people from very different worlds. When it comes to the heart none of that matters but things aren’t always that simple. I was anxious to see how things would turn out for them with all the curve balls thrown their way. I adored the sides they brought out in each other and how they wanted the best for each other as well. I hated what they went through.
Ms.Locke you did it again!! I couldn’t even put this one down to eat or sleep because it consumed my mind. Cam has always been a mystery to me and her story made me adore her even more. Dom was emotions and sexy wrapped into one. I think Swink might be my favorite of the series even though they are all my favorites. Don’t tell Barrett, Lincoln, Graham, and Ford because they might get jealous of my love for Dom. 😉 I am so looking forward to Sienna’s book!! 🙂
I have a lot of favorite parts highlighted throughout the book but this quote from Momma Landry really stuck with me and I believe it always will. – “Because that’s what makes a relationship, Camilla. The support. The shoulder. The ear that listens. That’s where the love and respect and true collaboration lie. Not in anything else.”
If you haven’t already One-Clicked, What are you waiting for exactly?!?! Get this bad boy Today!! Believe me, You do NOT want to miss out on this installment to this amazing series!! If you haven’t picked up every book in the Landry Family Seires – Sway, Swing, Switch, and Swear change that Today!! This is one of my favorite series of all time. If a heart could be in book form it’d be every installment in this series because it’s everything beautiful and more. I hope you love this one as much as I did my fellow book lovers!! 5 Stars all around!! I’d give it more if I could!! 🙂
There are certain authors who you know won’t disappoint you……and Adriana Locke is one of them! She delivers another knockout with Swink, the fifth installment of the Landry Family series. Swink definitely had a different feeling to it than the others in the series – in those, we meet and fall in love with 4 alpha male brothers and see the beginning of their relationships; but in this story, we are already almost a year into the relationship between Cam & Dominic. It was nice to get the backstory of how they met, as that was a huge question I had after reading Swear.
Yes…..they definitely came from different worlds, but that doesn’t necessarily mean anything. At times, I got frustrated with both Dom & Cam in regards to how they viewed their relationship. Dom kept thinking that he wasn’t good enough for Cam to be able to provide her with a life she was used to; and Cam, thinking her family wouldn’t accept Dom for who he was. They both wanted more from each other, but were scared to take that next step.
So many swoon-worthy moments, loved seeing appearances from all the brothers (Graham….oh, I was mad at you. Luckily, you redeemed yourself by the end)….ugh, I really just didn’t want this story to end.
5 I LOVE DOM STARS!!! This book deserves more than 5 stars, it is one of my favorite books in 2017. Adriana Locke has saved the best Landry book for the last and boy did she bring it with all the feels of her beautiful writing. The Landry’s have became part of my family and I love them all for different reasons, but Cam bringing Dom into the family, wow, just wow. Dom a hot sexy fighter they have been seeing each other secretly for almost a year, what will the brothers say about their baby sister dating him. This is one book you will want to read and I highly suggest all the Landry books. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
“Dom?”
“Yeah?”
“You were wrong when you said I don’t want you.” We lie in the quiet, the fan swirling above us. “Cam?”
“Yeah?”
“You were wrong when you said we were free to do whatever we want.”
It’s no secret I’ve loved the Landry family since the beginning. They hooked me in with Sway, knocked me outta the park with Swing, settled my chaos with Switch, and stole my heart with Swear. Swink began a bit of a different angle, focusing on a Landry lady rather than the men. Cam is intelligent, sassy, and a little naive. But this girl has a heart that I’ve never seen. She throws her entire self into whatever someone she cares about needs.
Dom… wowza! I wan’t sure any man who wasn’t a Landry could be quite so alpha in this world, but … I was wrong! Dom is EVERYTHING. He comes from a rough past, and definitely lacks the privilege that comes with the Landry name, but that doesn’t diminish who he is. He’s abrasive, a bit isolated, but his heart is almost always in the right place. He tends to put himself last, and would even go so far as to lose his happiness because he thinks Cam deserves more. Seeing him so conflicted broke my heart. But I knew no matter where this story dragged me, that Dom was one of the best men I’d ever met, fictionally speaking.
I will say that I was overwhelmingly angry with each & every Landry brother.
Seriously. Freaking. Angry.
I can’t even find the words to express how disappointed I was with Cam’s brothers. I know Dom seemed like a nightmare from the wrong side of the tracks, I know she’s their little sister and they want to protect her, and I know that those men take care of any woman they care about. But, knowing all that- I DO NOT CARE. Cam is a wonderfully intelligent WOMAN and she deserves to make her own choices, even if they result in heartbreak and disappointment. I was about to take out a Landry. Until … Cam’s dad. He definitely stole the show this book, for freaking sure.
“I mean, look around. I can’t give her these things.”
“I’m her father,” Dad says calmly. “I’ll give her these things. You don’t have to worry about that. I’ve worked my tail off for decades to give my children this. It’s your job, if you choose to take it, to give her the things I can’t.”
“I don’t ask my children to vet their significant others. We have Graham for that,” Dad deadpans, making us all laugh. “But I do ask them to pick someone that makes them happy. That puts them first. If they have a skill they can use in the family business, that’s a plus,” Dad laughs.
Finally a Landry man with some sense! This was it for me; the moment I lost it. To have a family base like this is beyond amazing and I wish this family was mine. (Adriana, if you find some magic to put people in books, come find me & plop me right in with the Landrys’.)
This was fantastic. I can’t even give you all the words you need to understand how much I felt while reading this story. The Landry family isn’t gone just yet, as Sienna travels to Illinois to follow her wanderlust & her dreams. I’m so very excited to explore this new world and know that my love of the Landry family will forever remain
I sort of stumbled upon Adriana Locke’s Landry Family series with Sway. I listened to it on audio and really liked it. Next she brought us Swing with Lincoln – I defy anyone to read Linc and Dani’s story and 1) Laugh until you cry and 2) Fall deeper in love with The Landrys. Switch was my man Graham’s story. I am truly, truly in deep lust with Graham. Ford’s story was brought to us in Swear and now Swink. A lot of people waited patiently for Camilla’s story, and some were asking every day for it. But it’s here now and so worth the wait.
Camilla and Dominic’s story is more than your good girl/bad boy story. It’s about a good girl that has to fight her way through her family’s (read Brother’s) protectiveness to be the woman she wants to be and be with the man she wants to be with, Dominic.
Dom is sexy and swoon worthy, to be sure. He’s also a loyal brother and uncle. His wanting to shield Cam from parts of his life is sweet, but Cam ain’t having none of that.
The final book in the Landry Family series is dazzling in true Adriana Locke style. We have all come to know and love these characters and Ms. Locke has given us exceptional writing to close this chapter of their lives. And I’m hoping that at some time down the road, Ms. Locke decides to circle back on the Landry Family and give us more to love.
Oh Dominic … not a Landry but just as HOT ! Wiggles eyebrows….. We finally find out who Camilla has been sneaking around with. Cue the fireworks between them plus the close well connected family that wants the best for her not knowing that it might be the former fighter .
I want to cry this is the last book in a family series I LOVE! Can’t wait for Sienna s book and the start of a new series The Gibson Boys.
I love Adriana Locke, plain and simple. She is unquestionably one of my go to authors. I’ve read almost everything she’s ever written (I still haven’t met Cane and Max!) and enjoyed it all. The Landry Brothers have got to be the hottest brothers I have ever read about (Lincoln!!) and I was really curious as to how Adriana would bring Camilla into the mix.
Hands down, Swink is the best book out of the entire Landry series.
When you have four very protective older brothers, it’s hard to do anything without them knowing. Camilla “Swink” Landry has found a way to do that. We’ve had a small snippet of what was to come in a few of the other Landry brother’s books, but now we get to see who Cam is hiding.
Dominic.
Dom is the complete opposite of what Cam is…hardcore, has lived a very tough life and is just making it by. Dom doesn’t come from money, hell, he’s a fighter and that’s how he makes his living for himself, his brother and his nephew.
But when Dom and Cam are together? Pure magic. The tough guy and the sweet woman are so good together. Yet, neither one will make a commitment as they don’t fit in each other’s “worlds”. Dom doesn’t want to get to close to Cam as he feels he has nothing to offer her but Cam feels everything when she’s with Dom.
Once again, I was flooded with emotion. From wanting to scream at these two to make it work, to watching Cam’s brothers in action, hearing about Dom’s life and Cam trying to find herself, I was all over the place with Swink. I loved every single second of it and I definitely enjoyed seeing what ALL of the Landry’s were up to!
I totally fell for the Landry family and I personally think that Swink was the perfect way to end the series. Kudos to the author for another amazing book!
I wasn’t quite sure what to expect of Camilla’s and Dom’s story as Adriana has always managed to sweep us readers off of our feet with the Landry brothers. I was pleasantly surprised and extremely pleased with the outcome. Their push and pull towards one another, the independence and brains (not a dumb spoiled princess) of Camilla and hello! An alpha fighter? Yes Please! Their chemistry truly made my Kindle smoke it was so hot. Of course, being able to visit all of the Landry family is always a treat and I’m not sure how the readers will handle it when the series ends. Happy news, however, is that there is a spin-off of the series coming soon.
