I would love to get inside Adriana Locke’s head and discover how she comes up with her characters and plots!
I fell in love with the Landry family in Sway and have anxiously awaited the other siblings’ stories. Lincoln was right at the top of the list, and what a phenomenal story it was! Linc was so sarcastic and dirty-oh. My. God! I loved it!! And Dani- she was so strong on the surface, yet had some major insecurities underneath. And Linc does a wonderful job of helping her work through them.
It was great catching up with other characters- the Landry family, as well as a couple of characters from previous books! (Ahhh!!! I LOVED that!!)
As usual, Adriana does not disappoint!

REVIEW:
I loved, loved the first book Sway in the Landry Family series, and Barrett stole my heart, but series I adored his brother Lincoln who is Swing, knocks it out of the park, no pun intended. Linc is hilarious and the coupled with Dani, I was loving this book from beginning to end.
Swing follows Lincoln while is recovering from a sport injury he runs into Dani, whom he has an instant attraction too. However, Dani is turned off by athletes and he main focus is on her work with the children at the hospital. These two go through a lot of ups and downs, mostly on Dani’s side since she has a lot of fears and insecurities that push her from being with Linc. But Linc is determined and has to work hard to get the girl, for the first time he meets his match.
I loved this story, the main focus is the couple but also family, the Laundry family is so loving and welcoming. The parents want their children to be happy and all Lincolns brothers and sisters like to give him a hard time but love him just the same. Of course, the romance is off the charts steamy and boy Lincoln knows how to make a girl swoon, while also being a sweetheart.
In the end I have already gone to the next book as this series and family has me hooked. Locke is a wonderful writer and I can really feel the love she has for creating each character and their journey to find their HEA.
4.5 Who can resist Linc Stars!
Those southern sexy Landry men are so irresistible and Lincoln is the leader of the pack with his cocky, fun loving easy charm. He can have any woman he wants but his sights are set on the only woman who doesn’t want him. Danielle Ashley is fun and easy to be around. She is interested in him and not just his baseball stats. Danielle is totally turned on by Linc’s confidence, big athletic body, and his determination. But she also melts when he is kind, funny and thoughtful. But she is alone in the world and wants more in her life. She doesn’t want to be a second choice and won’t let herself fall for a man who loves a sport more than her. But Linc is determined to make her see him for more than a baseball player. When team business throws him a curveball, will Linc strikeout and leave Dani stranded on base? Linc and Dani are so good for each other. They make each other laugh, they have great chemistry, witty banter and their passion is off the charts. We also get to fall in love all over again with the whole Landry family as we witness their unconditional supportive relationships along with the fun sibling banter. Graham played a large part in this book and I can’t wait for his story! I loved this second book in the Landry Family series. If you enjoy reading fun, sexy, and heartfelt sports romance stories, then you will definitely love this book!
NO SPOILERS!
Swing was another amazing standalone romance in the Landry Family series and my favorite installment so far! Adriana Locke hit a home run with this book and I absolutely fell in love with Lincoln and Danielle’s story. I was hooked from beginning to end and honestly couldn’t get enough of these two.
I immediately fell in love with Lincoln and Danielle. I loved their personalities and chemistry together, and how their story and relationship progressed throughout. Adriana Locke did an excellent job with the progression of their story and I once again loved her writing style. I loved reading the book from both Lincoln and Danielle’s POV, and I loved all of their banter and interactions with each other. There were a few frustrating moments here and there, and I loathed two of the side characters (you’ll know who I’m talking about when you read it), but other than that I loved Swing with all of my heart. I also loved getting to see the entire Landry family again. The Landry’s are by far my favorite family that I’ve ever read about, and I have completely fallen head over heels in love with all of them. I am so freaking excited to continue reading the rest of this amazing, addicting, and heartwarming series, starting with Graham’s story in Switch next.
Swing was sexy, addicting, phenomenal, and one of my favorite sports romances ever. I absolutely fell in love with every aspect of this book and I truly couldn’t have been happier with the conclusion to Lincoln and Danielle’s story. I am wholeheartedly addicted to Adriana Locke’s books and I can’t wait to read more of them, especially the rest of the Landry Family series. Swing is a definite MUST READ and one you don’t want to miss out on!
This was a wonderful heartwarming sports romance !
An injury has benched Lincoln Landry’s successful baseball career with the Arrows. The only activity in his future is therapy to heal his shoulder and get him back in the game. When fate steps in and takes him off the elevator on the wrong floor of the hospital and his eyes land right on the lovely Danielle Ashley.
Danielle knows a player when she sees one and I am not referring to his baseball position!
The immediate chemistry and attraction is sizzling off the pages but Danielle is not game. She has been down this road before with a player and is not a fan.
Lincoln Landry in now on a mission and does not give up with out a fight.
They will each make mistakes, learn secrets , hurt , compromise and learn to trust but is that enough to get them through the roughest road that is still ahead of them? It is all part of the journey. This is a fabulous romantic comedy ! I loved it !
~~Michele McMullen ~~
The banter and sexual energy between them is refreshing and amazing !
Dani and Lincoln knock it out park! Dani on thwarted outside portrays a beautiful confident smart whom appears to have it all together but appearances can be deceiving. Underneath her exterior she is masking a lot of emotional scaring from her parents that really cuts deep and affects her relationships with those around her. She is guarded and doesn’t let people in easily so when Lincoln Landry comes swaggering she is very leery about his intentions. Her dad was a baseball player and having grown up watching her mother waiting and begging for affection and in turn taking out her depression on Dani she wants no part of that world. Lincoln is used to woman falling at his cleated feet so when Dani is reluctant to play his game he is intrigued by the elusive beauty. The more he knows about her the harder he falls. The only problem is she has been so tainted by her past she cannot see how to separate what they could be from what she has seen. Lincoln has always been the known for baseball but in order to get the girl he may have to swing for the fences.
SOOOO great!!
This book was so good!! Danielle and Lincoln were so perfect together, that it gave me a rush of happiness. Lincoln is a true family man… Lives like no other, and he meets Danielle during a very trying time in his life. The are meant to be.. but can it last.
You read about heroines that have family issues, which brings about relationship issues, and there’s nowhere to go from there. Danielle’s problems are not easy to dissect, they are real that’s for sure. But can she keep her growing uncertainty from loving Lincoln as he deserves to be loved?
Baseball is everything to Lincoln, until he’s injured and rehabbing. Unsure of where his goals are leading him, but one thing he knows for certain is Danielle is it for him. Can he give up his dreams or can he have them all. One thing fort sure is that he is perfect. Absolutely perfect!!
This book is a must read. I love sports romances but this is more than that. It is about finding there one thing that means the most and striving to achieve it.
“He’s every sin I want to make wrapped up in one delectable body.”
Love those Landry Boys!! Lincoln and Danielle will burn up your kindle (once they get over themselves), make you smile, and you may just scream at your kindle a smidge when they hit some bumps in the road. Lincoln Landry is just perfect in every way, making this a sweet, sultry, heart-warming must read!! Adriana Locke (pardon the pun) throws you some curve balls here, but the end result had me smiling for hours! I am so thankful I was able to voluntarily review a copy!!

Lincoln Landry is sooooo swoony and I love him. #factasfuck
Swing is simply delightful. It’s sweet and fun and sexy, with a hero who will seriously leave you in a puddle of goo on the floor because of how sinfuly delicious, utterly charming, and completely endearing he is, and a heroine who you’ll wish you were best friends with so you could hang out and eat soup, and then wrap her up in a hug when needed. The banter between Lincoln and Dani is so entertaining and their sexual chemistry could light the outfield on fire. These 2 are absolutely perfect together!
This book will set your heart aflutter, your panties to melting, and leave you with the biggest smile on your face! I adore the family that Adriana Locke has created with the Landrys! They are so loving and totally devoted to each other. I wish I could move down to the Farm…maybe I could convince them I’m a long-lost cousin or something! I’m so excited for Graham and Ford’s stories, but I’m not sure they will be able to top Lincoln as my favorite Landry…he’s my MVP!
Lincoln Landry the youngest of Landry brothers was my second favorite after Graham. I was totally in love with his witty characters and sense of humor. Such a cute and charming story
Love the Landry family, enjoyed Lincoln and Danielle story!
Swing is the second book in a series about the Landry family. Every book in this series can be read as a stand alone. In book one you met Barrett (Swoon) and in book two you meet Barrett’s brother, the sexy ballplayer Lincoln Landry who showed just how witty and likable he was in Sway.
Lincoln Landry is a professional ballplayer who always has women falling over him, until he meets Danielle. She is a woman who is not easily won over. She makes Lincoln work for her every step of the way. She has a past that makes her stay away from professional ballplayers and Lincoln is doing everything in his power to change her mind.
Will Lincoln have enough Landry swagger to change her mind? Can Danielle overcome her issues with professional ballplayers to give him a chance? You will have to read Swing to find out.
Adriana has written a solid romantic comedy about a ballplayer that has always had everything come easy for him and a woman who will do everything she can to resist the Landry charm. If you like contemporary romance, you will thoroughly enjoy this book. Adriana is a talented author who can write deep touching emotional books such as Sacrifice and Written in the Scars, as well as witty contemporary romance stories such as Sway, Wherever it Leads, The Exception, The Perception, and the Connection. All are must reads in my opinion and Swing is no exception.
I was bound and determined to bust thru my TBR list for the last few weeks of 2016. However, an ARC from Adriana Locke put me off my game plan and totally made me fall in love. Lincoln Landry…my God. He is most definitely THE book boyfriend of the year. I read about him in Sway and was instantly drawn to him. I had no idea what I was getting into reading this book!!
Lincoln Landry is sexy, confident, and a true southern gentlemen. He knows what he wants and is not afraid to go out and get it. While rehabbing from a shoulder injury, he runs into Danielle and feels an instant attraction to her (and he knows she feels the same). Little did he know that Danielle would not be falling at his feet like so many other women which is definitely something Lincoln is not used to!
Danielle handled Lincoln much better than I ever would! She held her ground and didn’t drop to her knees like most women would. Dani knew the best option for her was to stay as far away from Lincoln as she possibly could. With the family she has, Dani knew exactly what dating a baseball player would entail and didn’t want that kind of life for herself. However, you know life just doesn’t work like that…
“Because you look exactly how I feel. Like when we aren’t together, the world is ending. Because if we aren’t together, maybe it has.”
(If this isn’t just the most swoon worthy quote, I don’t know what is)
The connection between Dani and Linc was instant and amazing. They have a crystal clear sexual chemistry and you knew when they got together, it was going to be unbelieveable. I’m here to tell you…it sure was. These Landry boys are just plain HOT. From the grape scene in Sway to the ice cube scene in Swing….I’m not quite sure how Adriana will top it in the next Landry book, but I sure as hell am looking forward to it.
There is so much more to Lincoln and Danielle but I want you to be as surprised and in love with this story as much as I was. Adriana Locke unquestionably hit a homerun with Swing!
This book was a perfect ending to my 2016. It is a great continuation of the Landry family’s story. If you read Sway (and you REALLY should if you haven’t) you have met all of the characters in the Landry family, and I have to say I love them all! The family getting together, sharing stories and all of the jokes, the banter between them all makes me long for a family like the Landry’s!
Adriana Locke hit the ball out of the park with this one!!
Lincoln Landry is the youngest boy of the Landry siblings. He’s a professional baseball player and injured his shoulder in the end of the season. He has physical therapy in the hospital where Danielle Ashley works. When the elevator doors open on her floor and he gets a peek of her, he wants more.
Ryan Danielle Ashley knows athletes, especially baseball players. She had a rough life because of it and knows that getting involved with Lincoln Landry would be a disaster for her. He is persistant in his pursuit and begins to bring her walls down.
Lincoln and Danielle’s story is incredible. They have major chemistry right from the beginning and they get really steamy together. This book has it all. Some drama, laughs, family and lots of love. A homerun from the beginning to end!!
Oh, Lincoln Landry…what a Hot Mess he is. His humor had me cracking up. he’s definitely that life of the party. I loved the dynamics between these two characters. A great addition to the series.
I was so excited to read the second book about the Landry men. It did not disappoint! Loved Lincoln and Dani’s story, beautiful and angsty in all the right places. Best ending ever 🙂
Don’t hesitate – go grab it!!
I love Lincoln Landry. Even after getting this book I held off on reading it I was convinced he could not live up to my expectations. I was wrong. Some parts seemed a bit slow for me but it works with the flow of the story. I loved the Moment Lincoln got with his dad. It wasn’t cheesy and felt like a natural moment between a parent and child. I love getting to see how Barrett and Allison are doing. I especially love That Barrett cracked a joke about grapes (see Sway). Danielle was also a great compliment to Lincoln. He needed someone who wasn’t awed by him and grounded him; Dani definitely fill that role. Overall I recommend this book (and I already have).
I don’t even know what to say about this book. I finished this book last night, and I already feel like I need to read it again incase I missed any of it’s excellence on the first pass. I think it would do this author a disservice to say this story is better than the rest, because they are all amazing stories. However, I will say that Mrs. Locke has written two of the best books I’ve read this year. Is this starting to sound like a love letter to the author? It might be, but seriously I could gush about how much I love her writing all day.
Okay, so about the book, Swing is the second book in the Landry Series. You don’t have to read the first book Sway to understand this story, but I would recommend it, because then you can get a double dose of the magnificent Lincoln. This book starts with Lincoln after he’s hurt his shoulder with what could be a career ending injury. He’s a little down until he meets the beautiful Danielle on his way to therapy. What starts of as lust quickly turns to more for Lincoln, but can he convince Dani to jump in with both feet when she’s sworn never to fall in love with a baseball player?
Swing is full of feels! Without giving too much away there is a scene that takes place in Lincoln’s driveway that made my heart break for these characters. The feelings behind their words were so real and I think it takes a special type of writing to be able to inflict those kind of emotions on readers. I loved the Landry’s after reading the first book and will continue to love them through the entire series, because they represent exactly how a family should be. Yes they’re different people and offer different dynamics to the family but you can feel the bond that ties them together.
Do yourself a favor and grab Swing asap! I promise you won’t regret it!
I knew before opening this book that Lincoln Landry was going to be my new book boyfriend.
He’s the youngest Landry brother, and if you’ve met Barrett, swoony is apparently genetic. He’s an All-American center fielder for the Tennessee Arrows, and there’s nothing much hotter than a baseball player for this girl. He’s funny, and cocky, and sweet. He’s good with kids (beware of ovary explosions). He makes sweatpants look hot. SWEATPANTS PEOPLE!
I love this book. The banter between Lincoln and Danielle is fun. The sexy times are STEAMY (per the usual). The story is factual for baseball fans, like myself, but doesn’t revolve around baseball. We have a little bit of angst, but it’s mild compared to some of the writer’s other stories (WITS anyone?). This works for me because sometimes I want to read about chemistry and sexy times without consulting my therapist.
Adriana Locke is building one of my all-time favorite book families, one smokin’ hot brother at at time. #teamlandry
Grabs you from the beginning and before you know out your done the book in a day!!!
