Stone Barrington thought he’d heard the last of former girlfriend Arrington after she left him to marry Vance Calder, Hollywood’s hottest star. The last thing Stone expected was a desperate call from Calder. Arrington has vanished, and her new fiancé wants Stone to come to LA and find her.In a town where the sharks drive Bentleys and no one can be trusted, Stone soon discovers he’s drowning in a … drowning in a sea of empty clues that takes him from Bel Air to Malibu to Rodeo Drive. Running out of time and leads, he needs to keep his head above water and find Arrington fast, or end up swimming with the fishes himself.

It was an older Stine Barrington book, before he was so rich, and I really enjoyed him spending what he had!! Liked the characters as well and, as always, Dino. Kept my attention and I read it in two days. Loved it! Now my husband is reading it.
Not his best but an enjoyable read. I recommend All of his books.
Stuart Woods always delivers a fast paced, witty and entertaining read.
Very slow moving for a Stuart Woods novel. I’ve read 20 or more of his books. This is the first one I haven’t liked.
Classic example of my favorite author
An excellent book. Highly recommend
Great book!

Stuart Woods is one of my favorite authors. His books are unique, original and the story keeps you turning the pages because you are anxious to find out what happens next. This book is no exception. His characters are interesting and Stone Barrington and his friend, Dino, can hang with the best or get down and dirty, if they need to.
Always enjoy the adventures of Stone Barrington. Well written, fast moving, interesting.
Very slow beginning. Couldn’t finish it.
Stone is an every man James Bond. Hands-on, well dressed, beautiful women, intreige, life threatening, always comes out on top. I’ve read them all and never tire of hisover blown ego and daring adventures.
Very easy to read with the usual characters.
Loved the twists and turns.
Love all stone Barrington books
great writer
Stone Barrington is always a winner!
Stone Barrington before he had money….still getting in trouble and getting laid.
Easy reading and enjoyable.
This is Woods writing very much like Robert Parker without the overdone smart talk of Parker’s last books. I couldn’t put this book down.
