“This book will make you swoon, laugh, and cry a ton of happy tears, by the end I was a hot emotional wreck.” – Ebook AddictsThe happily ever after you’ve been waiting for…
SWEPT INTO LOVE…It’s been years since Sally Tuft’s husband died and she was left to raise her teenage son alone. And almost as long since she told the only other man she’d ever wanted that they should be just friends. Now … she told the only other man she’d ever wanted that they should be just friends. Now her son has left for college and Sally has no distractions to keep her from thinking about her best friend and coworker, Gage Ryder, and what could have been.
Gage always believed that one day Sally would move past the death of her husband and they would finally explore the passion that’s simmered between them since the day they met. Tasked with opening a new youth center in Oak Falls, Virginia, Gage hopes the trip away is just what they need to finally come together.
Before Gage and Sally ever reach Oak Falls, one night at a conference changes everything, putting their friendship–and their love–on the line, and the two must decide if getting swept up in love is the beginning of forever, or the end of their friendship as they know it.

My favorite of this series!
Swept Into Love is my favorite book in this series. I had been waiting for Sally’s story and hoping for her to find the happiness she deserves.
Sally is a single mom who, like many parents, puts her son’s needs and wants above anything for herself. But now that her son is growing up and moving off into his own life, Sally is finding time for herself but still feeling a bit guilty and selfish about thinking of herself.
Gage has always been there as a friend, just biding his time. He longs to move their relationship past friendship without losing her as his best friend.
I’ve listened to this series on audiobook and really enjoy the great narration and I can’t wait to discover more titles by this author and narrator combination!
Melissa Foster wowed me with this thoughtful, romantic novel. Swept into Love features Gage Ryder and Sally Tuft’s friends-to-lovers romance. Their story has an unusual beginning but, it’s abundantly clear that this couple shares a strong, emotional connection.
I loved how Gage and Sally’s story unfolded on each page. I understood why Gage gave Sally her space and could feel his love for her as I read each chapter. Sally’s struggle to think of herself as a woman and not as solely someone’s mother resonated with me. I understood that she gave of herself and needed to be cherished. Gage romances Sally when the couple travels to Virginia for work—the author does a fabulous job balancing Sally’s concerns with Gage’s desires. I fell for Gage because he has been in love with Sally for years and took the time to show her and tell her how he felt.
Loved when the couple travelled to the Poconos for their honeymoon—the tree lighting, honeymoon suite and the gift basket made me laugh! The author has a gift of blending romantic gestures of love with deep emotional feelings—the conversations between Sally and Gage made me smile! I was thrilled that Sally decided to trust her feelings for Gage during their weekend away!
Swept into Love has all the feels—Once again, Melissa Foster made me laugh, cry and fall in love with Sally and Gage. The characters are relatable and their love story is emotional, romantic and very sensual. The novel is well-paced and there are several surprises tucked into the storyline—I cried happy tears when I finished the book.
Audiobook Review:
Gage Ryder finally gets his long awaited HEA in Swept into Love.
I was surprised by just how it happened but I enjoyed watching Gage and Sally work through the complications they find themselves facing.
This was an interesting spin on the best friends to lovers storyline. I really enjoyed it and thought it was the perfect wrap up to this series.
The writing remained strong in true Melissa Foster fashion. The narration was good as well as I’ve come to expect from BJ Harrison.
I look forward to more to come.
I fell in love with Gage and Sally when we first met them. Sally is a single mother, raising her son and she always puts him before her happiness. Gage has been Sally’s best friend for years and was the male role model her son needed, but he has also wanted Sally for years. Imagine their surprise when they wake up in the same bed together and find out they got married, on their business trip. Gage is overjoyed by the news of being married and wants to shout it from the roof tops. Sally is worried about what her son will think and worried that he will be upset over losing Gage as “his” confidant, though deep down she has loved Gage for years. During the remainder of their trip Gage “dates” Sally, trying to ease her into their new marriage. Gage and Sally’s chemistry is scorching hot and they make a fabulous couple. After overcoming all of the obstacle and mixed feelings, Sally is ready to move in with Gage. On the day she’s moving out of her old house, she finds out that she’s pregnant. Gage is beside himself with joy. Gage romances Sally and truly shows her how much she really means to him. This is a fantastic book, I didn’t want to put it down once I started it. Gage and Sally have danced around each other forever and I’m glad they finally get together and that Gage finally has what he wants….a family of his own. I can’t say it enough, what a great book.
B.J. Harrison has the best voice for narration. He brings the characters and story to life.
This story certainly isn’t boring. We have a widow, Sally; her 20 year old son Rusty; and, her longtime friend, Gage. I’m totally in love with second-chance stories and this one heads to my list of books I loved. I laughed so hard, I had tears running down my face. I guess it was the human-interest part of the book that has such a special meaning. Believe me, there are moments I’ll never forget about this book. (Air planes, storage rooms, gift bags, etc.) I especially loved the “cheesy honeymoon.” My favorite quote was: “People didn’t get second chances like this, did they? How did she get so lucky?” And, I cried!
Gage and Sally wake up in bed together. Not only that but they are married. How did this happen? They went to Vegas to work on hiring people for their new youth center. They had a few drinks and we’ll you can guess the rest. They are friends and Gage has helped Sally with her son since her husband died 5 years ago. She doesn’t want to mess that up by being married. Does what happens in Vegas stay there or can they truly make the marriage work and be a family? You will have to read the book to see. I love this author. She never disappoints!
Sally Tuft wakes up in Vegas and she’s not alone. She’s in bed with her best friend and the first man she’s been with since her husband died 6 years ago. And they’re married! Now what is she going to do?!
Gage Ryder has been in love with Sally since they first met years ago. But he knew she wasn’t ready to accept how he felt so he’s stayed in the friend zone. He’s also looked out for her son, Rusty, who’s 20 years old now and is away at college. Gage is more than thrilled to be married to Sally, and she’s happy, but scared to be married to Gage. Sally doesn’t know how Rusty will handle it and is a nervous wreck. Gage convinces Sally to just go with it for the week while they’re away on business, setting up a youth center. He’s hoping a week together as husband and wife will convince Sally that they belong together. The question is, will a week be enough?
This was another great book in the Love in Bloom series. Each book can be read as a standalone, but trust me, you’ll want to read them all! I loved this story. The characters are all so relatable. By the time you finish reading, you’ll wish you were part of the Ryder family. The chemistry between Gage and Sally is off the charts! Guess it’s true what they say. Friends do make better lovers!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Sally is a mother and widow. Gage is her best friend. When they go to Virginia to open a community center, they stop at a conference at Vegas first. As they say what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas but not this time. Gage has been in love with Sally since they met. Sally is afraid her twenty year old son will be mad because Gage has been his confidant and friend. So they keep their relationship a secret until they can tell him in person. Will Sally let her fears lose the one man who can make her happy?
Funny, steamy and very romantic. I loved Gage. He’s not afraid to show his sensitive side and is so patient with Sally. I believe this is the best one in this series. Surprises and second chance at love.
* Voluntarily read and reviewed this for author from BookFunnel *
Hard to read. Didn’t finish
I love this author!
I love Melissa Foster. I’ve read every one of her books and have never been disappointed. I love the way all her characters remain in play (even if in the background) from story to story. I often wonder what happened to characters after the story is over but with Melissa’s books you’re never left wondering because they’re always in play.
The story line was ok. I enjoy romance but 3/4 of this book was their sexual encounters. Grows old after awhile.
“I waited a lifetime to find you and years to be with you”
What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas right? Well for Gage Ryder and Sally Tuft they come home from Vegas with more than they bargained for – married!
I have heard so many people rave about how they cant wait for Gage and Sally’s story, and for all I haven’t come across them in previous books (yet -as I am still working my way though all of Melissa’s books!) I have not really built up that connection – but boy does Melissa do an amazing job at telling their story without that need to know them and in Sally’s words – “What took you so long??”
They are perfect for each other and they are best friends to boot so who better to wake up married to right? Well for Sally this is a huge thing as she lost her husband several years ago in a Skiing accident and she also has a son who is twenty – she had him young and married young so all she has know is her late husband Dave and then being a single mother to Rusty – she has put off her own happiness for the sake of her son, so to discover that not only has she slept with Gage and got married she feels that in some way she has let Rusty down.
Gage has loved Sally since the minute he met her and he has been waiting all this time for her to come to terms with her husband death and loved her from afar. Everyone knew they would be perfect together, they deep down knew but it was Sally that held back. Once she finally lets go she realised what has been right in front of her face all along, a man who would do anything for her, a man who would do anything for her son, a man who is everything she needs a more.
For all they were thrust into taking their friendship to the ultimate next level, it is clear that Gage is a keeper with how he puts Sally and Rusty’s needs before his own, he has the patience of a saint and will give Sally all the time in world she needs to talk to Rusty and come to terms with something she has deep down wanted all a long.
This book will make you swoon at how romantic Gage is. laugh at some of the situations they get into and cry a ton of happy tears, by the end I was a hot emotional wreck at how cute they are together.
If you want to have a happy ending after a few ups and downs, this book is for you. The characters pul you in and have you cheering for their successful getting together. The book leaves you with a smile on your face and satisfied with the romantic story.
What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, right? How’s that work when you let go of your inhibitions & wake up the next morning married to your best friend, the man you’ve been keeping at arms length ever since you met him? Sally Tuft was left a widow at a young age & had to raise her son, Rusty alone. Just months after her husband died, she met Gage Ryder & they’ve been friends ever since. Gage has been there for Rusty when he needed the advice of a father figure. Sally is petrified that if they move beyond friendship & it doesn’t work out, Rusty will suffer. How can she take that chance?
How long do you hang on hoping she’ll change the direction of your relationship? Gage Ryder has been there for Sally & Rusty every way Sally has allowed him to. He’s shown his feelings for her daily. All he hasn’t done is ask her to marry him. One night in Vegas, a little too much to drink, a lowering of inhibitions & that all changed. In the morning, Sally freaks out & backpedals. Should Gage hang on or just give up?
I love this story! Gage is patient, confident, strong & sexy. Sally is nervous, scared & anxious. The back & forth interactions between them details their personalities & allows the reader to dig deeper into their emotions. The interactions between Gage & Rusty prove the father/son relationship is already present & strong. Sally needs to learn to trust her own emotions & to trust Gage & Rusty to always be there. Ms. Foster set the scene perfectly in the beginning, engaging my emotions to the extent that I couldn’t put the story down! Another hot, spicy read by a great author!
So this is what it means to take baby steps.

Can he risk his heart for a woman afraid to open hers? Sally and Gage are a match made in heaven. He’s determined, she’s stubborn. She’s running scared, he’s never been more sure.
