BLURB:
Dead men tell no tales…
For more than 200 years, the Treasure Pit on Oak Isle has baffled treasure hunters, engineers, and the common man alike. When Samantha Greene arrives, she finds her estranged father has spent years funneling energy and finances into the endeavor, finding nothing.
When an accidental death occurs in the pit, fulfilling the prophecy that seven lives must end before the treasure can be found, the search kicks into high gear, with more than one party vying for the secrets that lie below. Finding herself the closest to the treasure anyone has ever been, Samantha throws herself into the work, landing among the coveted prize. Just as she’s about to discover what’s truly hidden beneath the island, the pit begins to flood with ocean water, sweeping her away despite her attempts to swim to the surface.
Upon awaking, Samantha discovers that, not only did she not drown, but the year is 1695—one hundred years before the Treasure Pit was even discovered. Carried off by the pirate Tristan O’Rourke, a rouge Irishman with more than his share of secrets, she soon finds that there is much more than she realized in play. Will she discover the secrets of Oak Isle, or will an unexpected love keep her from finding out the truth? Will she ever make it back to her own time? Perhaps the real question is this; will she want to?

This is one of the best books I ever read. I could not put it down. If you like the tv program Curse Of Oak Island, you will love this fast paced book. Published in 2015 the author seems to know things they will find on the show years before it happens for real. I cannot wait to get to read book 2. I won’t tell you more about the book since I don’t want to spoil it for you. If I could give book 10 stars, I would.
Was afraid it would be cheesey. It wasn’t. Good read with interesting time travel twists.
For any one who watches the history channel, this was a copy of the Oak Island legend. A bit disappointed in that fact.
Very different. I enjoyed the historical perspective, back in time, mystery. Was very enjoyable. Hated to see it end!
Excellent read!
Hidden treasure, family reunion, time travel, pirates and Knights Templar! A great combination!
I enjoyed the storyline. Very entertaining. I am thinking about reading the next one.
I have never been more in love with characters of any book and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the characters!! The book was a page turner from the beginning to the end. I want to go back and read the first book again!! I can see this series being made into a movie saga. Excellent writing!! I’m about to read book 2 but I HAD to write a review first!!
Kind of a trite storyline
Love it fun time travel book. Turned out completely different then I thought. Like it so well read the sequel.
A twist on the time travel schtick. Believable characters and interesting historical tidbits! Well written and worth diving into!
There is no HEA, just ends on a cliffhanger…
Captivating but not too realistic since it involved time travel. Enjoyable read, however.
Very predictable, unimaginative writing. I’m forcing myself to finish it — not sure why.
I received a free copy of this book and enjoyed it so much I bought the remaining books in the sequel. Full of imagination, adventure, and action with a bit of romance…nothing graphic…tossed in. Unlike anything I have read before. Fun and exciting.
Great time travel theme with a little bit of Raiders of the lost arch” mixed with “pirates of the carribean”.
Love this lady and am reading 2nd in her series. Hope I can read the rest. Best reads in long time.
