Tara is the manager of a B&B in Maine. Graham Kinney, a Navy SEAL, arrives in Pelican Bay and is helping his buddy Ridge on a case since he has some extra time. Sexy Graham has the attention of all the ladies. Who is this mysterious man? Is he a spy, like her friend suggests?
When Tara is “checking” out his room, Graham catches her at it and asks her on a date. As they continue dating, they begin to fall in love with each other. But Tara is invested in her job and would one day like to have her own B&B. And Graham travels all over the country and is only staying there temporarily. Will he give her up? Or will he decide to put down some roots and stay with the woman he loves? And will he have the chance when the creepy night manager, Dwight, corners Tara in the root cellar with his own insane plans?
Tara and Graham are hot together and they had me swooning while simultaneously biting my nails trying to figure out the mystery in the town. You says nothing happens in small towns? This one seems to have a lot of suspense and it adds to the edge.
I actually read the most recent in this series Accidental Risk first and have now gone back to the beginning.
These books are based in the same place with some key characters that feature, the main characters of the story are the ones that are the new ingredient if you will. The residents that live in Pelican are all slightly zany and within its township is a hub of activity where the gorgeous security/bodyguards ex military serve to protect and also solve certain endeavors that occur. An enjoyable read but as I said at the start I am now going to the beginning so I can understand the other characters and how they came to live in this whacky place.

Sweetest Risk
This is the fourth book in this series but can be read as a stand-alone. Tara manages the B&B in town. This should be a simply straight forward job and it is until he checks in. Who is he? That’s what Tara wants to know.

This is book four in the Pelican Bay Security series. I really enjoyed this book. It’s a standalone novella that’s part of the series but doesn’t have a lot of interaction with the main characters of the series. I loved Pelican Bay. It’s not the quiet sleepy town most people think it is. There’s always some kind of action that Ridge and his guys always seem to be in the middle of it all.
Graham is in Pelican Bay to help his buddy Ridge. Ridge needs a fresh set of eyes to help investigate a case he and his team have been working on. Graham is in between cases so he has some free time to help. He’s staying at the B&B in town where Tara works. All the ladies at the B&B have been drooling over him. Who wouldn’t drool over a hot, muscular ex-Navy SEAL? Tara’s friend Cammie tricks her in to entering his room where they’re both caught snooping. Cammie runs off but Graham blackmails her in to going on a date with him. One date turns into two and before they know it they’re falling for each other but Graham leads a nomadic life and Tara dreams of owning her own B&B. Will Tara be the one that gets Graham to stay put? Will Tara forgive Graham when she finds out his secret?

Love and adventure for the new resident of Pelican Bay. A good few laughs reading Tara and Graham’s story. Love seeing the old characters from past books pop up. Enjoyable

Tara is secretly crushing on the hot guy staying at the B & B where she works. There is a mutual attraction but who is he really? A spy? Meghan Matthews takes us on a sweet ride of mystery, quirkiness, and romance in Book 4 of the Pelican Bay Series. Highly entertaining. I received this as an ARC from Booksprout.
This is book four in the Pelican Bay series. Graham is in Pelican Bay, working for Ridge and staying at the bed and breakfast. Tara moved to Pelican Bay about six months ago after finishing her hospitality degree to gain some experience in the industry. I enjoyed the story and just when you think this couple will come together under “normal” circumstances, the author throws in a curve. A sweet story that left me with a smile at the end. Enjoy!

Tara works at the b and b in Pelican Bay. Graham is staying at the b and b in order to help a friend. Ultimately this is a story of two people finding love where and when they least expected it. An enjoyable read with likable characters.

“No one knows what a day will hold in Pelican Bay.”
With that first line, this story grabs your attention and keeps you reading until the very end. Megan Matthews has perfected the art of writing woman that sassy, feisty woman that are just a bit on the crazy side. All of her men are strong, protective alpha’s that allow their chosen woman to drive them crazy or turn them into marshmallows. Tara, for all her silliness (not complaining!), is a sweetheart. Graham is a security consultant with an interesting take on things, at least when it comes to Tara. But all is not as it seems at the B&B that Tara manages, and Graham is determined that nothing will hurt his new lady love. Fun and snarky, with danger and intrigue, this book keeps you on your toes and smiling throughout. Happy Reading!!

I love this book. It was a wonderful blend of integrand romance. I am loving this series. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
This may be a short read but it is a really great story and I enjoyed reading it. Graham and Tara meet at the B&B in Pelican Bay and there chemistry and connection is instant but would it be enough to take them into a relationship. There are twists and turns along the way that makes you want to keep reading to see what will happen next. This book is so well written and I recommend you read it.
I voluntarily reviewed an Arc copy of this book.
I’ve loved every book of this series that I’ve read. Graham and Tara meet while Tara is “checking” out his room and insisted of getting her in trouble he asks her out. Both are from California and find their way to a bed and breakfast in Pelican Bay. Will these two find love and happiness thay their searching for? This book was such a easy fun read.
Can’t wait to read more of the men and women from Pelican Bay
Another really enjoyable short read in the series of Pelican Bay security. Tara is quite new to the area and lands her dream job in a b&b, after falling for one of the guests things take a dramatic turn for Tara leaving her questioning everything. Didn’t want to leave it down.

Would have been a 5 star if there had been more action and suspense for me anyway. You have the girl who has stars in her eyes for the good looking man staying at the bed and breakfast, but is who he seems. The first several chapters are them meeting, dating so to speak and heat in the bedroom. The problem comes at the end of the book. But a HEA at the end.
Sweetest Risk was a good story, but I expected more. I didn’t feel any connection between Graham and Tara and the suspense part of the book was too easy. As a SEAL and now security expert, Graham and his team didn’t figure into the mystery at all. The author is talented and other books in this series have been hits. This one just didn’t do it for me.
I don’t usually read romantic books that have such funny lines – they definitely made this book fun to read. But there is suspense, too. There are many mysteries to solve. Tara is the manager of a bed and breakfast in Maine when a man named Graham comes to be a guest. Mystery #1: Who is this secretive man? Is he really a spy? Mystery #2: What is going on with the creepy night manager of the B&B? Mystery #3: What is going on in the root cellar! Mystery #4: What will happen as Tara and Graham fall in love since he is only at the B&B temporarily? So lots for readers to discover and enjoy reading while they do!. I highly recommend this book!
