An intriguing collection of exciting, heartwarming mail order bride stories that I’ll be rereading again and again. Wonderful box set!
I read the first 2 books but was not interested in finishing the series. I got tired of reading “ain’t” although the first story held my interest.
Sweet reads! Enjoyed each book. Thank you.
Good clean reading
Really enjoys them all
Who doesn’t like the old west? And mail order brides, it is a wonderful read.
Dull
Every character said “ain’t” in ever book. That got on my nerves. Was glad to finish the series.
It was a clean romance! I enjoyed it.
Actually this was a 5-book bargain! Each story was original and the characters believable. Enjoyed each one of them!
Good stories.

This is a great collection! The books are clean, sweet, romantic mysteries. They’re all very different from each other, her books are not formulative like so many box sets. Great writing with interesting characters and stories.
Love Can Wait
Emma becomes a mail order bride to the town’s doctor, Jonathan Newford. He is a kind, gentle, intelligent man. About a month after their marriage, someone turns up dead near their home, and whoever did it tries to set up Jonathan as the murderer. Emma knows Jonathan didn’t do it, so who was it, and why did they try to frame Jonathan?
The mystery was quite well written. Everything came together quite nicely. There wasn’t a lot of romance in the story, it was more of a mystery than a romance. It was interesting, clean, and well written.
Rancher’s Heart
Clara is a new mail order bride in a western town. Her new husband won’t talk to her at all, and she’s really lonely. Besides all that, he leaves at night and she doesn’t know where he’s gone. She suspects he may be an outlaw because he’s gone from home when bad things are happening.
I really enjoyed this book, but found it so frustrating that her husband, Robert, was so close lipped, he would wait WEEKS to tell her important things. Other times he suddenly overcame this problem and talked like a normal person. It almost seemed too easy. I wish there was a bit more of a struggle with it, but in a different way. Like he’s trying every day and making more steady progress, not overcoming the problem so fast.
My favorite part of the book was the ending. I really loved how well written it was. The middle dragged a little bit, but overall I really enjoyed it.
Broken Betrothal
Nora headed out as a mail order bride to meet her new husband, Peter, but upon arrival discovered he had died while she was traveling. Peter’s soon, Joseph, hired Nora to be his cook and housekeeper. A creepy relative showed up to visit and pay his respects, making Nora quite uncomfortable. Why was he there, and why wouldn’t he leave? This was more of a mystery than a romance. I really enjoyed how different this book was to the others in the series. Great idea to have some variety!
Westward for Love
Annie is a mail order bride. Her older husband, Paul, died son after the marriage and his adult son, Simon, is terrorizing her, trying to force her to marry him. No one will help her until Laura and her brother, Joe, who was shot, are sympathetic to her plight. However, soon everyone is in trouble and will need help. Don’t worry, though, there are happily ever afters for everyone!
Love is kind
Alice is married to Simon, a controlling, uncaring man. She takes care of his every need, and gets no thanks at all. It’s easy to see that her life and the life of her unborn son would be much better for her without him around. When faced with that prospect, what should she do? How does a widow with a newborn baby take care of a farm by herself?
This is a story of forgiveness, of love, of finding a family when you’re all alone in the world, or at least when you think you are. Can she make the leap of faith and learn to love again, even when her heart tells her to guard it at all cost?
This story is clean and sweet. I like the underlying theme of forgiveness throughout the story.
I absolutely love these books! It was an awesome set. I could not get enough. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
5 Clean Westerns
This is a wonderful collection of 5 clean westerns. While they are all romances, they also have mystery and suspense. They are all much like watching a 1 hour western on television. These are clean and sweet stories. There is no sex or swearing, little violence and no gore. They are also not religious, not Bible -thumpers even if they mention preachers and churches. Most center around a mail order bride. I have many of this authors books. They are all high quality and worth the read. I received this book for free and this is my honest review.
Five very well-written stories that once I started this set I was not putting it down it is of only 608 pages so each story can be read fast. I think my favorite of them was Love is Kind, but each of the stories has there own merits. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a wonderful and heartwarming collection of five beautifully written historical western romances centered around mail order brides, their adventures, trials and tribulations. Each book is a standalone with strong characters, twists and turns that kept me glued to the book from beginning to end. Ms. Hill never disappoints and I look forward to more from this talented author. I received an advance reader copy of this book from Booksprout and this is my voluntary and honest review. I liked this box set so much, I purchased a copy for my keeper library.
