A great series,I can’t wait for book 3. Loved that Nicole Flockton is involved with this collaboration.
This is a sweet novel about opposing views somehow finding ways to blend and bring two people together.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Sweet Texas Fire is the second book of three in this series written by three different authors. I Admit I enjoyed this book better than the first. The characters are more mature and likable. Not that I hated book one’s H/h but I wasn’t their biggest fan. That said, Gage and Charlotte were great characters. Both were independent, fearless and stood for what they believed in. The premise of this story leads us to a fake marriage. While much of the book was predictable, I didn’t mind as “fake marriage” is one of my favorite romance tropes.
Another aspect I enjoyed was the slower speed of Gage and Charlotte’s relationship status. Being that they grew and developed as a couple throughout the book made the story more realistic for me. Oh, don’t misunderstand me because they weren’t perfect and there were quite a few hurdles to go over before they found their HEA. Gage, specifically, had some groveling to do in the end.
I enjoyed how the author had me completely engaged with the story. Her talent for storytelling had me there on the pages. I felt like I was watching as well as reading and for me that is a huge plus. I am looking forward to the last book in this series. I also want to mention there is a bit of a mystery going on that began in the first book and will end with the last. Looking forward to that resolution as well.
This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. 🙂
Sweet Texas Fire is the second Sweet Texas Secrets books with this one written by Nicole Flockton. This series deals with a family of sons that stood to inherit property and business that they had invested their lives in along with their father, The late Mr. Cooper pulled a fast one on his sons changing his will, with what seems to be a plan to help them find love along with purpose in their lives. Quite an impressive premise with a different author writing each of the brothers’ stories. While each of the women who inherited were named in the first book, who they are and why they inherited instead of the beloved sons is a mystery until each one of the brothers has his story told. So with no more than a name along with a sentence or two about the women given earlier, each book can stand-alone.
Gage’s story has more mystery to it than the first book in the series. It also has an opposites attraction trope along with a marriage of convenience. The later is not my favorite of scenarios to read. Still it does serve to make Gage a more approachable character. Though I have to admit most of us would have been wounded, heartbroken and offended by what had happened with the changing of the will. These were not rich boys who had lived off their Dad. Instead they were men who had worked alongside of him. Then Australian Charlotte Wilkinson has her own reasons for going head-to-head with Gage before hastily doing a turnabout and marrying him. Not the most realistic of plot lines but one that is most interesting.
An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Charlotte is a beautiful, smart woman who’s kicking ass in a male dominated work environment (growing up with 3 brothers helped with that) and Gage is a gorgeous oil man who messed up in his youth and is trying to make up for it.
In the beginning they hated each other but once they met everything changed. Now I will admit I would have liked to see more of the hate relationship between them. I think that would have brought a bit more heat/excitement to their story but I did like how romantic Gage ended up being. He was so sweet and caring towards Charlotte that it just makes your heart go all mushy. And the relationship between the Cooper boys…love them.
I’m so glad I read this book. Ive been in such a reading funk and Gage and Charlottes story brought me out of it by making me smile. I plan on reading Gavins story (Book 1) and Grays book when it comes out next month and if they are anything like this one than I know I’ll love it.
Happy Reading Everyone
**I received this ARC for my honest review and 100% recommend. I honestly loved it and cant wait for more. This story/series are going on my re-read shelf

In this series, each story is written by a different author. This one is written by a new-to-me author. I really enjoyed the way she wrote the connection between Charlotte and Gage, as well as Gage and his brothers.
One of the things I loved about this story is that it delved into Gage’s dad a bit more than the first book did. While the underlying theme to all the stories is their dad and his will and the reason he did what he did, I felt it wasn’t delved into as deeply in the first story as in this one. It was a bit like having a love story within the love story. Very sweet and made me even more curious about what the last story will hold.
The big explosion in the relationship between Gage and Charlotte is very obvious, seen from miles away. I almost felt as though the things Gage did weren’t really in line with his true personality. But maybe that’s the point, him finding his true self. Blood over money, love over land, etc.
Regardless, I liked this book a lot and feel I’d like to check out some of her other stories. She already has a bit of a library so I just have to decide where to start.

Gage is a oil man and Charlotte is a environmental analyst who Gage has had to deal with. This is a sweet love story between Gage and Charlotte. Great story line and characters. Gage and Charlotte have to fight for their HEA. Great chemistry between them.
If your looking for a sweet romance this is your book. Gage and Charlotte are absolutely adorable together but they have to fight to get there. It definitely has some sad moments but that makes the end result that much sweeter.
