He likes to be in control… also, I soon discover, the one my family secretly hired to protect me. Am I mad? Hell, yes. Am I game to play along? You bet.
She’s in over her head…
Everyone knows and loves Ethan Auprince. With his sexy-as-sin dimples and crazy likeability, he’s always the center of attention. I’ve been tasked with protecting celebrities, bigwigs, and high-ranking officials, but when I come face-to-face with the man I spent one incredible summer with, I’m in trouble. A careless mistake on my last assignment cost me, and now Ethan is looking at me like he wants to devour me, not cooperate with my subtle instructions while I work under the guise of his restaurant manager.
My reputation is at risk. His safety is on the line. But worse, we’re falling in love again.

Just the name Robin Bielman puts a smile on my face! I’ve come to expect fun, sexy and excellent stories from her. Every book just keeps getting better and Sweet Talker was no different! Pascale and Ethan were wonderful characters in this second chance romance that has all the feels! I laughed, cried and swooned quite a bit 😉 Sweet Talker is the second book in the American Royalty series and can be read as a standalone (I recommend them both!)
Really enjoyed the story and the characters! So much so that I had to read the other two & oh my goodness loved Drew’s story!!! Will be remembering that one!!!
Couldn’t put it down.
I loved the characters, their unique circumstances, and the happy ever after!
Great story including romance
loved it
“Sweet Talker” (nook) is a long-lost-love love story with a twist of angst before a HEA. Both Ethan and Callie learn to open their hearts to love and a future together.
A second chance romance that’s as sexy as it is sweet, Sweet Talker is a fast and easy read with great chemistry between the characters. Though it’s the second in the series, it can most definitely be read as a standalone since each book follows a different brother with a very different personality. This time, the focus is on Ethan, the charming restauranteur who is a bit of a ladies man. He’s happy with his life of wining and dining until a woman from his past resurfaces. Ethan and Pascale spend one summer together ten years ago, where they both fell in love but never exchanged the words. When a family emergency took Pascale away, she never thought to contact Ethan since she always assumed he considered their time a summer fling. Now that Ethan’s been receiving some unwanted packages and notes, his family is worried about him so they hire Pascale to be his bodyguard in secret, not realizing their history. Once Pascale and Ethan come face to face, Ethan reaction is much stronger than Pascale anticipated, and she realizes she may have made a mistake in the past and also in the present by believing she could perform the duties of the job without falling for Ethan all over again.
I loved the chemistry these two had from the very beginning. It’s clear that they had a great relationship in the past and while they burned up the sheets, they also had plenty of conversation. Those old feelings still linger for them both, but Pascale’s secret role in the present keeps them from acting. The first half of this book flowed extremely well, and had me connecting with the characters. Pascale lost me a little bit in the back half, but I got where she was coming from. It’s really a book in two acts – you’ll know what I mean when you get there. For me, the first act is more successful but I also loved seeing the changes in Ethan during the second. I received an ARC from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review of this light and sweet read. I look forward to the next book in the series to see who Drew finally picks as his perfect match.
I can’t believe that I never read this author’s work before and I have NetGalley to thank for being able to read and review Sweet Talker. And I’m quite happy that I did! I will definitely be reading more from her in the future (I have Finn’s and Drew’s books on my TBR list already). I love when the characters feel like they’re speaking to you personally and this author’s writing made that so easy to do. I became immersed in Ethan & Pascale’s life immediately, as well as the supporting/secondary characters. Obviously, I want to go back and read Finn’s book now and can’t wait to read Drew’s! Ethan is my favorite kind of male character — sweet, sexy, compassionate, kind and I loved that Pascale was strong and courageous in her own right. Not to mention that their chemistry was off-the-charts sizzling. The storyline flowed so easily that I read this book in one day — so very enjoyable! I will be reading more from this author for sure! I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.
Robin Bielman brings characters to life like no one else. Her story building somehow makes you believe that big, strong Ethan needs a bodyguard. And that his protection comes in the form of petite and feisty Pascale. Throw in a past relationship between the two and, yes, let the Sweet Talking begin! I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It was amazing!
Wow just wow, I love Robin Bielman and Sweet Talker is a great addition to the American Royalty series.
Ethan Auprince is sexy and Pascale Nichols is just the women to protect him, even if he doesn’t know it. The problem is she is his first and only love. Ethan the oldest brother and part of the Auprince family who owns the best hotel’s money can buy. Though that was never Ethan’s dream, he wanted to open restaurants and that is what he did with his family’s blessing. And then his life starts to be threatened. Enter Pascale Nichols the sexy bodyguard his family hired unbeknownst to Ethan. Pascale also happens the one who got away years ago, leaving him without a word. Now she is back and Ethan won’t let her go again and then her world is turned upside down.
I am fast becoming a huge Robin Bielman fan. Her books are filled with great characters and wonderful dialog. I love getting immersed into the world she writes. Told in dual POVs we get to see both sides of Ethan and Pascale’s story which is great. We also get to spend more time with the Auprince family and I cant wait for what’s coming up next.
Contemporary Romance; Second Chance Romance
First person; dual-POV
Book #2 of the American Royalty series; they can be read as standalone (I haven’t read the first book and had the full experience with this one)
“He wears a tux like Captain America wears his Avenger clothes. Hot. Sexy. Strong. All-American appealing.”

WHAT HAS REALLY WORKED FOR ME
Addictiveness: 3.5/5 It was an easy read with a few fun moments and some cute ones. This has two parts, the second part for me it had a better flow. As addictive as melted cheese!!!
Character: hero 4.5/5, heroine 4/5, secondary characters 4/5, growth 5/5, real 5/5 Interesting characters that were multidimensional and felt very realistic.
Ethan was a great book boyfriend. He was hot, smart, ambitious, loving, caring, fun and charismatic. He was rich, but not a jerk. He grew along the way, really embracing everything that was thrown his way. Even his mistakes, never felt like a huge deal at all. Totally drool-worthy!
Pascale was also a good heroine. She was beautiful, strong, caring, friendly and everybody liked her. She had a tendency to run from her problems that got on my nerves a few times. At the same time, she handle the twists of life like a pro.
Several interesting secondary characters that I would love to know more.
All characters were easy to love, connect and understand!
Freshness: 4/5 This was definitely a surprise. At first, I thought this would be very predictable, but suddenly, it had an unexpected twist and it become more. Surprising and exciting, at the same time it was believable and real. As fresh as mint tea!
Plot: believable 4/5, conflict 3/5, dialogue 4/5, ending 5/5, enjoyment 4/5, opening 3.5/5, pace 3.5/5, setting 4/5, subplots 4/5, twists 5/5 Ok opening and great ending. Believable plot with dialogues well written. The pace was better at the second part of the story, and the subplot has really spice up the story. An ok setting with an amazing, unexpected twist!!! The first conflict was not very interesting, but the second one was BOOM! Explosive! Great level of satisfaction!
I can’t talk much, because I think the unexpected gave new life to this story, and I don’t want to spoil the fun for anyone. The “main” conflict, at least the one hinted at the blurb, was a bit lackluster. But the second one, was a curve ball! It come out of nowhere and it gave this story depth and intensity. After reading the book, I’m certain this was always on the author’s mind, and I found it very crafty how she tied up both parts of the story together.
Romance: believable 5/5, chemistry 5/5, description 5/5, development 5/5, steam 5/5 I believed in their love story from the beginning. Yes, Pascale did get on my nerves a few times, but their chemistry was high and the couple’s love easy to feel. Their journey was beautiful and complex. Oh, the smut was there and it was perfertly created. As hot as tabasco!!!
Writing Style: I’ve enjoyed the author’s writing style. Very crafty how she worked the plot and subplots in the story. This story had layers that were easily written by the author. Looking forward to read more. Crafty!!!
WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER
Cover: art 3/5, title 5/5, color-font 4/5, buy 3.5/5 I’m obsessed with book covers. I love to find snippets of the stories within the art. This cover is ok, but not great. It is just a handsome man. I wanted to see a bit more of the story at the cover. Maybe the restaurant as a background, or something that felt more personal to this book. This is a bit too generic. I would probably buy this book by its cover, but I guess I would read the blurb first!
Plot: I’m still unsure if the first plot/subplot was really needed or not. The second part of the story was so rich and important that I believe it could have held on its own.
MY THOUGHTS
Even though I’ve said a few times that I felt the first conflict a bit lackluster, I’ve loved the unexpected! The twist came as a bomb. Really, it blew on my face. I had no idea where the story would be heading after the first conflict was solved, but never would my brain conjure up the second conflict. It was rich, convoluted and it gave this story flavor. This is definitely magic writing skills.
I’ve loved the brothers, and I feel I have to go back and read Finn and Chloe’s book white waiting for Drew’s.

Would I recommend? Sure. For everyone that likes a family romance with a bit of spice.
Would I re-read this book/series? I don’t know if I would re-read the book, only time will tell. But I will definitely follow the series.
Would I read more from the author? Yes!
You MAY read this because you have read the first book of the series; you SHOULD read this because you like a good hero; you MUST read this if you are looking for an endearing romance!!!
Adored this second-chance romance.
“Pascale. My Pascale. Is back in my life. All of a sudden, my heart doesn’t know what to do with itself.”
Ten years ago, Ethan Aurprince and Pascale Nichols had a summer fling. They fell fast and deep until Pascale just disappeared out his life. Just as suddenly, she’s back. In his life. In his restaurant. Working for him. Or, it appears that way.
“When Ethan Auprince runs his eyes over you, it’s like you’ve been touched by velvet-tipped feathers.”
Pascale has just come off an assignment gone wrong and she’s determined not to lose her way professionally again. However, her history and feelings for Ethan make it difficult for her to keep her distance from him. Throw in the fact that she’s keeping a secret from him. Just when things are looking positive for them, life throws her a curveball that complicates their relationship.
“She’s under my skin, inside my heart, and on my mind. It terrifies me.”
Ethan and Pascale has so much sizzling, slow-burn chemistry between them. It was a tangible thing. They were incredibly sexy together. There’s so much buried emotion between them, too, stemming from their summer fling, and to find that even though they’ve both changed, they were also intrinsically the same and they had a lot of fond memories to share. I loved what a physically tough cookie Pascale was, but she was all tenderness inside. Ethan is most definitely a sweet talker and a complete charmer. He felt so much for her yet was fearful of being hurt again. I absolutely adored this story and can’t wait for the Drew’s book.
Loved, loved this book of a second chance romance. Ethan and Pascale had a beach fling a few years back and now he is a top restaurateur that needs protection, in walks Pascale as his protector. Soon they can’t deny the sexual chemistry that they once had years ago.
Loved this couple, Ethan and Pascale are just perfect for each other. Loved the dialogue between them. Many laugh out moments, shed a few tears but was left with a big smile at the end.
This is the second book in the series but can be read as a stand alone. I’m in love with these brothers, can’t wait to read Drew’s story!
I fell into this book so easily and with such pleasure, I didn’t really ever want to let go of my time with Ethan and Pascale.
This is such a fun, interesting storyline. I love that the heroine is the protector in this one, and I maybe especially loved how easily Ethan accepted and respected that. The chemistry between these two was apparent immediately, and I was just as much a sucker for Ethan’s easy charm as Pascale was – which made their unorthodox romance a complete delight to read.
All things considered, the stalker storyline wasn’t really the show here – it wrapped up pretty quickly and neatly without a whole lot of drama. But there’s also a lot more going on in this story than that storyline and I would argue that the real show was a lot more emotional, unexpected and – well frankly adorable than I had originally expected. I could not have been happier with how it all played out.
I loved this one. I loved getting to spend time with the powerful, yet lovable, Auprince family (the secondary character game is so strong!). I loved how effortless this was to read. I loved easily my heart engaged with Ethan and Pascale, how it gave me that delicious ache as they stumbled through finding their way back to each other, and how it bubbled over with happiness when they finally figured it out. Robin Bielman is a sure thing, y’all, and this was another fantastic read! ~ 4.5 Stars
This is an honest review of a book that I requested and received from NetGalley.
Another American Royal story = another home run for author Robin Bielman. This is the second book in the series about three wealthy brothers from California who seem to find love at work.
Sweet Talker may be part of a series, but you do not need to read the first book to enjoy this one – unless you just want to meet another HOT Auprince brother!
Take time to put this title on your TBR list!
4-4.5 stars.
Well, this was fun.
This time we have Ethan and Pascale, they had a beautiful yet brief love affair a decade ago and now they are once again reunited when she’s hired to be his bodyguard… without his knowledge.
I loved these two guys. Pascale went through such a heartbreaking experience, I was glad she took strength from it and didn’t let it bring it down. I love how her relationship was just what she needed, just a carefree time with someone who adores you. 😉
As for Ethan, he was a good guy, a great brother and business man. He might’ve come off as a playboy, but there was so much more to him than that. I loved discovering new sides of him throughout the story.
We also see his family (can’t wait for their books!) and a twist I didn’t see coming that changes everything. :-O
All in all, this was a fun read and a perfect addition to this series.
*Thank you to the author for providing a copy for which I’m giving my honest opinion*
Ethan can sweet talk to me all day long!!!
Sweet Talker is book two in the amazing new ‘American Royalty’ series by robin Bielman. We met Ethan in Finn and Chloe’s story, Heartthrob (Book 1). Now we get to meet the man who owns Royal.
Ethan is smart, sexy and he met the love of his life ten years ago during a summer break from college. But the girl of his dreams left suddenly and he never saw her again.
Now, ten years later, she’s in his restaurant and about to become his manager.
Pascale knew she was going to be working for the boy who stole her heart a decade ago. But she thought she was over him. One look at Ethan as a fully grown man and she knew she was wrong.
The chemistry between these two was palpable. It burned through the pages and nearly ignited my kindle… and that was before they did anything more than kiss.
Pascale isn’t really Ethan’s restaurant manager. She’s secretly been employed by his family because he has a stalker. Her job is to find the person responsible and stop them. But, Ethan gets under her skin and as the weeks go by the get ever closer to giving in to temptation.
Will they?
This was a seriously sweet and utterly sexy story. I loved every minute of it and didn’t want it to end. Ethan is such a nice guy, but hot as Hades at the same time. Pascale is sassy, snarky and her hands are lethal weapons. She’s awesome.
Grab this summer read today and find a shady corner to enjoy it in.
I really enjoy reading Ms.Bielman’s books, her characters are so relatable you’re pulled right into their storyline from page 1.I have read Promise me from her and I honestly couldn’t put it down, and the same with Sweet Talker.I loved the chemistry between Pascale and Ethan right from the beginning ,even though they hadn’t seen each other since that one summer when they were inseparable 10 years ago .You will have to 1- click to find out what happens next.
Loved!
Ethan and Pascale’s story was a whole lot of fun. The secret bodyguard portion (love the gender switch there, BTW!) is over at about the halfway mark–the gig is actually up a little before that though, when Ethan secretly figures it out and OMG I love what he does there 😉 The book takes a path in the second half that I wasn’t at all expecting but ended up really enjoying, maybe even more than what was going on in the first half.
Though these books are all standalone, I’m going to go out on a limb and say you should read this before reading Drew’s book, just so you don’t ruin that surprise. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go back and inhale Finn’s story…. ( Heartthrob )
Rating: 4 stars / A
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
