This was the fourth book in this series following casey the girl who runs the bakery. Following the hard events of losing the only true person in her life, Casey tried to piece her life back together. Meeting cade was interesting to say the least as the followed the letters from the past to bring about their future. A few twists along the tale along with moments of fun and joy made this book another great read. Sadness at Casey’s loss but happiness at the new prospects to come. I truly enjoyed this book and love this series so far.
Casey owns her own bakery shop. She’s mourning the loss of her uncle, who raised her. Cade is a lawyer, who helps her with her uncle’s last wishes. This book has humor, romance, and the unexpected. Very good book, well written!

I gave this book 4 stars.
“Sweet Talk” by Ashley Hastings was a story about a young woman grieving, saying goodbye to the person that she most loved in her life. It was also about learning how to love, loosening up and having fun sometimes. Cade was the hot new lawyer in town that Casey`s uncle Bob hired to deliver his last wishes after he died. Casey grew with uncle Bob, with no parents, no siblings. She helping him out in his tack & bait shop since she was little girl, learning everything she knows with him. Casey has always been about working hard, going to school, then helping her uncle. She didn’t have a chance to be young and free. His passing was really hard for her. Cade tried to make it easier for her every step of the way. While still mourning she transformed the shop into a bakery. They meet in the Tulip scene, which was hilarious…..Casey & Cade have instant chemistry from the beginning, they start on this journey that her uncle set up for them. It’s definitely emotions, angst, steamy sex, funny at times, we get a cameos appearance from Darcy, her baby, Jackson the officer.
Even though this was a good story, for me I can’t put my finger on it, but it took me a bit to get into the story, once I was engaged in the story then it was full on. I read the other 3 books before, and loved them.
This was a standalone with no cliffhangers.
Overall I recommended the romance.
I enjoyed this book. The Casey and Cade’s characters are well developed and engaging with undeniable chemistry between the couple which made for a storyline that kept me turning the pages.

This was a peek at an all consuming love that an uncle, by proxy of selfish parents, and his niece had. She was dramatically left on his front doorstep at two years-old. He took Casey in and never looked back or regretted it. Casey in turn loved her Uncle Bob and doted on him even in the final stages of Cancer. He wanted her to have fun and not grieve too hard for him so he made a post-death bucket list and made Cade Sandor the attorney in charge to help her carry it out. This is where it gets interesting, wonderful and fun with occasional teary-eyed moments. This is a wonderful story. You really need to get this now.

I don’t know about you, but I love when I am sweet talked especially when it comes to love. This book kept me in the zone of what could be the outcome of two people coming together in the throws of passion. It is a must read!

What an emotional story with so many great characters. Uncle Bob was a great teacher to his niece in living and in death. Loved the characters Casey and Cade they helped either other in their journey of life. Cade the lawyer and Casey the baker. I think I had tears as much as Casey did reading her Uncle’s letters.

She is all work as she works hard to get her bakery up and running. He is there to help her but there is just one problem, he wants her in a way he should not. She has no time for play. What will happen? Will they have a fling? Will it become more? See how they get on

This sentimental story is funny, sweet, and sexy. I loved it. Casey is a sweetheart and Cade can’t help himself – he’s falling hard. These characters are very likable and they have a ton of chemistry. The story is well-written, touching, and wonderfully romantic. I couldn’t put it down.

Casey is grieving the loss of her Uncle Bob and trying to get her bakery up and running. When she stuck and needs help from an obnoxious pig, Cade happens to be walking by and saves her.
That begins Cade and Casey’s attraction. They feel it deep and then find out after talking that he will be the lawyer handling her Uncle’s Will with her.
You won’t want to miss as Cade is there and how they can just talk and laugh. Love comes out of nowhere for them and with time they discover it’s love that will last forever.

This is a must read story about an Uncles love for the niece he raised and the ” bucket list” he made for Casey to fulfill after he dies, and the lawyer Cade who accompanies her. A well written emotional story that once I started I was not putting down. I will say keep the Kleenex near-by. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Sweet Talk is the first book by Ashley Hastings that I’ve read. I love discovering new
authors, and when those new authors can make me laugh, that’s an even bigger plus.
Within the first few pages of the book, I was giggling. That’s a big plus for me.
What can I say about Casey and Cade? I loved these two very different people. I really love
how they met. Let’s just say, there was a pig involved. (No more spoilers from me)
The best part of this story were the letters her Uncle Bob wrote to her, to be given to her after
his passing. I also love how in a round about way, he was helping her move on with her life.
His bucket list activities were great and sometimes romantic.
I loved Casey, but I had some issues with Cade. He was a little immature for an attorney, not
that attorneys can’t be fun loving folks, but so many of his actions made him seem childish to
me.
The other things that kept this from being a perfect read were the conflicts and how they
weren’t really conflicts. Casey seems unable to argue with Cade. Every time something bad
happened, Cade was in the thick of it, but he’s all too quickly forgiven.
This was an enjoyable read, but it could have been made better by a little more length to help
some of the situations to play out better
Sweet Talk is a quick and easy read. I was looking for a book that I could meet characters I’d like, have a storyline that was easy to follow, and a love story that was sweet. Sweet Talk is exactly what I was looking for.
Casey and Cade were easy to like and quick to love. Their story had its ups and down, there
were times I felt Casey forgave to easily but when you’re in love it is easier
to forgive and move on to happier times. I love how the uncle played his part in their
romance and how sweet that was. The letters were amazing and such a great addition to the story. I
found myself wrapped up in their story and unable to put it down.
Ashley Hastings is an author that I will be looking for more from. Pick up your own copy of this book and meet some amazing characters and their wonderful love story.
I loved watching Casey & Cade find their HEA. Neither was looking for (or even wanting) a relationship, but watching them give into their feelings and falling in love was so wonderful! I wish there had been more!
Loved the book it was great the story was well written and the characters were interesting. Casey was devastated when her uncle Bob died, he left letters with his lawyer Cade and he was to take it to Casey. While reading this book it was hot and steamy plus, I needed tissues, it was worth it.
Thank you for allowing me to review this book it was great.

I genuinely love the story and characters, the whole book is funny and emotional. My one issue is that the two protagonists quickly bounce back and forth in what they want. While reading it I put my iPad down and yelled “just pick already!” but it does add to the buildup.

I loved this small town romance!

Casey and Cade meet in probably the best meet cute I have read to date. Casey owns the local bakery while Cade is the new lawyer in town and when these two happen upon each other behind Casey’s bakery this are definitely interesting. There are some instant sparks and when Casey finds out the new lawyer and her are going to be spending some time together due to her late Uncles last wish she is intrigued. Soon these two realize that their feelings are deep and their relationship progresses. Not all is smooth sailing for the couple however but they work through their issues together and prove they are meant to be . It was definitely a sweet story with the perfect amount of spice and intrigue.

When grieving niece, Casey, meets new in town lawyer, Cade, it’s not exactly love at first sight. It is, however, a funny but awkward meet-cute, and sets the tone for their soon to develop relationship.
It turns out Cade is the lawyer her uncle hired to execute his estate and his bucket list for her. And when the bucket list, via lots of tearjerking letters, urges Casey out of her box, Cade is just the man to go along for the ride.
Sweet Talk is more than I had been expecting. It’s more than a tad emotional, and Casey and Cade are a fabulous couple. I love their journey, and I especially love that it’s her uncle’s letters that brought them together. So freakin swoony!

Casey has recently lost her Uncle Bob, the only family she has left, and the man that raised her. After spending the last few years taking care of Uncle Bob while the cancer took over all she’s left with is his bait & tackle shop that she has decided to turn into a bakery, but Bob has left Casey with one last piece of him.
After unexpectedly meeting Cade, Casey finds out that he is actually Uncle Bob’s lawyer and that he’s left a series of letters for Casey to read after his death. Now Cade will be taking Casey on a few adventures per Bob’s request to complete his after death bucket list.
I absolutely love Uncle Bob, I cried with his very last letter. What a clever little schemer he turned out to be. We would all be so lucky to have and Uncle Bob in our lives.
