Lincoln Reeves may be a pro golfer and revered swing coach, but when I meet him, he is just one more person telling me I’m not good enough. So, I do what any girl in my position would do. I tell him to get lost and take his arrogant, annoying smirk with him. I never expect to see him again. I certainly don’t expect to run into him that same night after one too many tequila shots.Turns out that … out that he’s kind of a big deal. Okay, fine, a really big deal. In fact, he might be the one person who can take my game to the next level.
Convincing him to help will be difficult.
Not throwing my club at his handsome face when he makes me work harder than I thought humanly possible will be excruciating.
But not falling for him will be the hardest thing of all.

Lincoln and Keira melt the pages with their chemistry. I love a good sports romance, but especially when it involves golf. There are not enough of them, I loved this story. Keira is a competitive golfer on her college team and is determined to get back on top, but her coach makes it impossible and you just feel for Keira. Then we have Lincoln, the man with a growing business, good looking, and to top it off, he use to golf professionally. Keira is determined to get Lincoln to help her improve her game, while Lincoln is skeptical. These two work together, build a friendship, but that chemistry is simmering more and more with each session. Keira and Lincoln take us on a fun, chemistry hot enough to burn the pages, and emotional story that will have you pulled in until you finish the book!
What a great slow burn, age-gap sports romance!!!!
I’m a huge fan of sports romance, and I fell in love with this one. It had a great plot, great characters, and the romance struck the perfect combination of sweet and sexy!
Keira is a talented athlete, but her college golf coach doesn’t see it. He just wants results and is only too happy to reap the attention when his athletes are performing well. When Keira doesn’t perform like her coach wants, he ignores her. Enter Lincoln Reeves…a pro golfer and well-respected swing coach. He offers her some advice…only she sees it as criticism. Some misunderstandings ensue, but once those are resolved, Lincoln becomes the one who can take her on to the next level. It is clear from the beginning these two have some intense chemistry. The line between coach and athlete begins to blur…..
I really thought the plot was great and was fast moving even though the romance was a slow burn one. This was one of those books that I was able to finish in one sitting!!! Part of the reason it was such a great read was because of the characters of Keira and Lincoln. I loved the fact that it wasn’t only the male that was the athlete….it was the female. Keira was so relatable. She was incredibly talented, but she dealt with some self-confidence issues, no thanks to her jerk college coach. Lincoln was so supportive of her, and he never cared that she was in the spotlight. His pride leapt off the pages.
Like I said, this was a slow-burn romance. The chemistry was there, but there were some things working against them….their age gap. However, they were so similar that I forgot about it unless it was referenced in the book. Lincoln was wary of romance because of his work life. He was driven to make his business a success, and I liked that Keira was showing him to have more of a balance. Like I said, these two were perfect together.
I have read Rebecca Jenshak before, and she just keeps getting better with each book. On a side note, Lincoln’s grandmother could have her own book! What a character!!!!
This was a hard book for me to stay focused on. I couldn’t connect to any of the characters deeply enough for me to not stop reading for several days as I devoured other books.
To me, the best part about this book was the grandmother who kept trying to set the H up on blind dates with daughters or granddaughters of her friends. I felt like the biggest thing that connect the two main characters was their love of golf and their understanding of the focus of took to be at the top of the game. There were tons of secondary characters (whom we will probably see in other books) but overall, for me, it was just “meh”.
This was the first book that I have read by this author and would be willing to give other books a read-through.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Tee Off With This One!
I love a sports romance, and even though I hardly know a thing about golf, I was swept up in Lincoln and Keira’s story.
Keira is still attending University and is on the golf team. After one bad tournament, and losing her temper, she needs help to get back on the touring team. Her couch isn’t helpful in any way so when she see an opportunity with an ex pro turned swing coach specialist, she jumps at it.
The thing I enjoyed the most about this book was the slow burn. It wasn’t insta love or unrealistic ventures in the bedroom. It was a relationship build on a professional level, to friends then lovers. Lincoln had hang ups from his failed marriage so it would never of worked if they acted on the attraction that was between them. I loved his commitment to her and his dedication of helping her win. They had the same work ethic and appreciated the time each needed to hone their careers. There is little angst in this tale but enough to pull on your heartstrings and hope for the best outcome. The epilogue was a sweet spot for me, and I feel Linc hit a whole in one with his surprises.
“can they find their sweet spot, 5 stars”
Okay, I’m going to be completely transparent. I loathe, and I mean loathe with a passion of a thousand burning suns golf. I don’t understand it. It puts me to sleep. But I highly enjoy Jenshak’s books. So, when I saw Sweet Spot, I was lightly hesitant. I decided to go for it though and I’m glad I did. Jenshak made me question if golf was really that bad. I loved Lincoln and Kiera that much. You should totally take a chance on Sweet Spot. Besides who doesn’t love a good sports romance? Especially one with a slight age gap.
Kiera loves golf. She eats, sleeps, and plays. Guys are barely on her radar. When she meets Lincoln, her starting spot is on the line. She will do anything to be the best so even though its hard she takes his advice. The more they talk, the more they spend time together, the feelings grow. Will they be able to keep their hands off each other? One way to find out…

Rebecca Jenshak knows how to do sweet romance that packs a punch. I’m a big fan of her Smart Jocks series so I was beyond excited to dive into Sweet Spot as it’s set in the same world. I’m happy to say I wasn’t disappointed! Grumpy hero and smart-mouthed heroine? Yes, please! I was arrays excited about this book, but after reading the blurb I counted down until I had this downloaded and ready to devour. And devour I did! Sweet, swoony, and a yummy hero I ate right up was what Rebecca Jenshak dished up in Sweet Spot. Lincoln was a sweetheart! Hot-headed? Kind of, but not really. More like a bit annoyed and a lot sweeter than I thought, but yummy and swoon-worthy nonetheless. Keira was amazing and I loved the connection she and Lincoln had. Their banter was great, their chemistry sizzled, and I rooted for them. I even enjoyed learning a bit about golf and I don’t even like golf! Sweet Spot might not have been as perfect as the Smart Jocks series, but it came damn close and I really enjoyed it.
Rebecca Jenshak has completely changed my mind about golf with her latest book Sweet Spot. This is a beautifully written book with some great leading characters who I became so invested in.
Lincoln is the ex-professional golfer who owns and runs a very successful coaching website to help reach sports people all over and offer them coaching from a hand picked list of coaches across a wide range of sports. He lives and breathes his website and is a workaholic who isn’t good at taking some time out for himself.
Kiera is a budding college golfer who has what it takes to launch herself on the pro scene, with the right coaching that is. One drunk night has her begging Lincoln to be her new swing coach to help her improve her game.
Sweet Spot is set in Rebecca Jenshak’s Valley U world, with loose ties to her Smart Jock series and a couple of cameos from some we have met before. This is a definite 5 star, must read!
Even if I don’t really know anything about golf (ok, I played it for fun) and didn’t read any book before this one that had a person who plays golf (except for fun – as a hobby) this book was amazing.
The determination to play from Keira and the love that Lincoln has for coaching and that he more found him in the coach area than actually be pro player (even if he played pro for a while).
I love their chemistry and Lincoln’s belief and support that he has in Keira.
I just loved it.
Maybe it’s not a popular sport to write in the writing industry but I am glad that she wrote about it, that’s how I’ve learned something new.
Sports romance is one of my favourite genres to read, and Rebecca Jenshak’s latest book, Sweet Spot, hit the mark with its appeal and unique storyline. Rebecca is a master of penning a sweet romance that packs a punch. I’m a big fan of her Smart Jocks series so I was beyond excited to dive into Sweet Spot as it’s set in the same world.
I really enjoyed Keira and Lincoln’s story. I fell in love with both not just as a couple but individually, too. These two were made for each other. Their banter, late night practice sessions, and chemistry had me flipping the pages. I loved their refreshing slow burn romance. It made their story authentic, genuine and real. Their partnership was great to read and every page made me love them even more.
Sweet Spot is an easy light read and a low angst slow burn. I enjoyed every aspect of the book. Rebecca easily incorporates the perfect blend sport and sexy moments between the two main characters. I loved the passion between the characters on and off the green! It was great to read another sports romance book which doesn‘t focus on the typical sport like football and hockey. I didn‘t know any of the terms but it was fun to learn new stuff!
Even though I am not a fan of golf but I am a huge fan of Rebecca Jenshak & have enjoyed her books. I have read her previous sport series and enjoyed it and this one was a fun read. If you are in mood for fun , low on angst read than this one is for you . It’s a sweet & light hearted read and specially with everything going around this book was a perfect read. I needed something light to distract me and this did the job perfectly. I liked Keira & Lincoln characters and the story was captivating and engaging. If you are Rebecca’s fan you will enjoy this book it hits all the sweet spots and leaves you feeling satisfied.
Sweet Spot is just so sweet!! I’ve read a few of the other books in the Valley University world and enjoyed them; Sweet Spot was no different!
Lincoln is running an athlete improvement type company. He has expanded to cover all sports, bringing on friends and other talent. He is the golf pro, and goes to Valley U to give a clinic to the college men’s golf team there. While there, he sees Keira practicing and is blown away by her talent.
Keira is a little prickly. She has a chip on her shoulder because she is good, but her coach is a jerk. So, she kind of assumes Lincoln is like her coach and is rude to him when he offers some advice. She later learns she was rude to the one person who could help her and has to convince him! Lincoln is a bit flat to me. He’s young (30), but feels old because his job is very busy. I liked him as a character but I felt like he wasn’t as well developed as I would have liked. You have a bit of taboo here because he does become a “coach” to her, and there is the age difference (he’s 30, she is in her early 20s). You also have 2 characters with a competitive nature, which I think made things more fun.
Sweet Spot is cute and light-the angst is very low! If you want a read that will having you smiling, and leave you with a warm fuzzy feeling, this is perfect! Its a wonderful distraction from all that is going on!
I’m a sports lover (in real and fictional life lol) and I’ve read quite a few sports romances but golf was a new terrain for me. But what a fantastic story Rebecca Jenshak presents us with Keira and Lincoln! Adding the part that it plays in the beloved Valley U world makes it perfect in my eyes!
Keira, junior at VU, golf player on the girls team, doesn’t have it easy with her coach, butts a little head with Lincoln when he’s helping out with the boys team one day.
Lincoln, divorced, former player, now coaches and analyzes players all over the place with his new business. Successful business as one might say, because he seems a bit like a workaholic, focused on work, all work no play.
Until he meets Keira, because she keeps him on his toes. Giving him a little sass, and she makes him starting to things over, and letting loose a tiny bit.
This is an absolutely sweet, low on angst, lovely romance story, which I adored and I was hooked from the beginning!!! I loved their pull to each other, and how we saw a lot in Lincoln’s head / feelings due to the DPV writing. Seriously Rebecca, give us more golf romances. You nailed it!
I’m pretty sure this was the first golf romance I’ve read but it’s definitely not the first Rebecca Jenshak book I’ve read! I can always rely on Ms. Jenshak’s stories to be solid and writing to be entertaining and Sweet Spot did just that! We met Lincoln in The Fake. This is the first time meeting Keira though. She is a Valley University student on the golf team and golf is her life! For Lincoln, work is his life, and that includes golf! Quite a match! I liked this book a lot. It didn’t have a lot of conflict but just enough to get me hooked. Plus I loved Lincoln and Keira! And we got a surprise visit from one of the characters from the smart jocks series! I don’t know a lot about golf, as hard as my husband tries to explain it to me it goes in one ear and out the other. Regardless, the golf speak in this book didn’t turn me off at all. It was just enough to set the tone but not get lost in the terminology and still enjoy the story. Ms. Jenshak certainly has a talent for writing great characters and stories that really hit the spot!

This book was such a fun read! I LOVED Lincoln & Kiera’s story and was dying to know how things were going to work out for them. I really enjoyed reading a story set in the golfing world since there really aren’t too many of those out there.
Kiera is such a fun character. I loved her personality and her sass. Lincoln was also a great character. He was driven and focused and the chemistry between the two was off the charts.
This book had me laughing out loud several times. It was a fun, easy, feel good read. Definitely one click worthy!

4.5 Stars!
Being a fan of Ms.Jenshak’s Smart Jock series I needed more of her books in my life! As soon as I read the synopsis for this one it became one of my anticipated reads of the year! I was hooked from the get go with this story which I loved.
Lincoln and Keira’s journey was such a wonderful one! I could picture it all so clearly and I so enjoyed being in their minds! I loved how these two were brought into each other’s lives and I couldn’t get enough of their banter. I really admired Keira’s determination and Lincoln’s dedication. I adored both of them!
I haven’t read many sport romances that have golf in them and I really enjoyed that aspect of this story. It was really fascinating to me and I felt like I connected to the characters even more because of it.
With Sweet Spot, Ms.Jenshak has created a breath of fresh air read! It’s exactly what I needed this month! I am so excited for more of her words!
*I volunteered to read and review a copy of this book from Wildfire Marketing Solutions / the author*
It’s a good book if you love a slow burn romance. I enjoyed it. It definitely kept me reading because I needed to know when they were going to get together. Good book if you are looking for something to spend the afternoon.
Usually athletic romance has the man as the athlete so I like the twist of the woman being the athlete. There is spark between the characters and I recommend this book
Absolutely LOVED Lincoln & Kiera’s story. These two were seriously a match made in Heaven. All of Lincoln’s past faults weren’t really faults at all, they were stepping stones to get him where he was truly meant to be. Kiera’s fiesta personality and her insane drive to get what she wants is so inspiring to all female athletes out there. I am not a fan of golf but Sweet Spot defiantly held my attention with all the chemistry and banter these two characters were on FIRE!
I am kind of at a loss as to what I am feeling about this book. Which is really weird. I know my head is still at this very distracted place that is making it very hard for me to get lost in reading any book, but obviously I signed up to review these books because I was very excited to read them. So when they land on my kindle I get that little flutter but then I have to physically force myself to sit down and read. And a book I would normally inhale in a day is taking me two or three days to get through and it’s driving me nuts.
So while I read this and liked it, I was super distracted and part of that, i’ll be honest is that golf bores me to tears. But the majority of it is simply me. And sadly the distraction made me feel like I wasn’t hugely connected to the characters and the storyline. But I love Rebecca Jenshak’s Smart Jocks Series so much. And I really loved getting little nods to them in this book.
Lincoln wasn’t a character I loved. He was kind of a meh hero for me. I understand where he was coming from in holding back on a relationship with Keira but it annoyed me a little and if he were a heroine I would be screaming at him through my kindle. But I think since he was a man and he felt his justifications so deeply I kind of forgave him a little bit but I really wanted him to man up a lot sooner.
Keira was great. I loved her drive and dedication, she made me feel like a real slacker as I ate chips and drank wine and read about her busting her arse to improve her sport. And man did she work for everything she wanted. And I was right there cheering for her at all of her victories. I really wanted her coach to get hit by a bus but never mind maybe that can be in the next book 😉
I enjoyed the writing style and I love college, sports romances. It was nice to have a slight age gap, it added a bit of reality into the book and I really did feel like both characters were genuine people I could meet on the street, well maybe not me since I’ll be at home reading and don’t talk to strangers but you get my drift. I can’t wait to see where this series is going to go.
Kiera is completely focused on her golf career. She gets no support from her coach and she’s not thrilled about it. Then she meets Lincoln, a retired pro who’s now a coach. He’s a bit of a grump, he’s older than she, but he knows what he’s doing. Hiring him to coach her is the perfect idea. Linc is adamant that he doesn’t want/doesn’t do, a relationship, and Kiera is too focused on her golf to want one, too. She whatever it is they develop is not by any means going to end up being serious. Or that’s the plan at least. But we all know that the plan rarely goes without a hitch, and that’s where the fun comes in.
I really liked this low on angst golf romance. I am a decent golf fan (Phil Mickelson is my fave!) and this book made me an even bigger fan because it’s pretty heavy on the golf, without bogging down the rest of the story. Kiera and Linc are actually really cute couple who didn’t even want (so they said) to be a couple. If angst free romances are your thing, then Sweet Spot is the perfect story for you. It’s lighthearted, it’s fun, and Linc and Kiera are adorable.
