Lincoln Reeves may be a pro golfer and revered swing coach, but when I meet him, he is just one more person telling me I’m not good enough. So, I do what any girl in my position would do. I tell him to get lost and take his arrogant, annoying smirk with him. I never expect to see him again. I certainly don’t expect to run into him that same night after one too many tequila shots.Turns out that … out that he’s kind of a big deal. Okay, fine, a really big deal. In fact, he might be the one person who can take my game to the next level.
Convincing him to help will be difficult.
Not throwing my club at his handsome face when he makes me work harder than I thought humanly possible will be excruciating.
But not falling for him will be the hardest thing of all.

“Golf is a lot like love, I think. If it isn’t making you a little nuts, is it even real? Passion—good or bad, is how you can gauge what’s really important to people.”
Sweet Spot was a sweet and fun slow burn. Plus, I loved a story about golf- not a sports theme we see often.
Lincoln Reeves and Keira were amazing together. I really enjoyed this book! What I loved the most about Keira and Lincoln’s story is how their mutual love of the game of golf built on an obvious connection between them from the first interaction they had together.
I would recommend Jenshak’s sports romances! I couldn’t put this story down! I’m absolutely looking forward to more from the author. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Keira is one of the top golf players on the women’s team at Valley U but after a poor finish at a tournament her confidence has taken a hit and her coach ignores her pleas for help. When Lincoln, golf pro/coach extraordinaire, is put in her path she first makes a fool of herself (tequila will do that to everyone) and then she makes it her mission to hire him as her swing coach. What starts as a professional relationship with lots of tension turns into a relationship neither one wanted or was prepared for.
I am not a huge golf fan but I really enjoyed it in this story. It was kind of fun because it isn’t one of the more popular sports in sports romance books. I liked it. I also really loved that it was the heroine who was the sports star/player. That was also refreshing. Sweet Spot was a sweet and fun slow burn. I adored both Lincoln and Keira. I loved watching their relationship grow and their banter was fun. I was a bit sad that we didn’t get to see a Potter show down but overall I really loved Linc and Keira. Another amazing book from Jenshak.
RJ is one of my favorite authors to fill my minimal angst, sugary sweet romance void. Plus, she’s one of the best sports-trope writers out there. Feel good, charming stories that leave me smiling.
I love RJ’s men the most- because she never fully plays into the athlete trope archetype of a leading man- and Lincoln is the perfect example of that. He’s just a charming, sweet, lovable guy. A rigorous couch, but a endearing soul. and Keira is such a fun match, and I FLOVE how RJ always makes space for dedicated and talented female athletes in her stories. Her heroines aren’t along for the ride- they are on the field, literally and metaphorically. Keira is determined and has focused goals- but she’s also young, genuine but naive at times. They share a love- golf- which helps them connect and start to love each other, too. We get the fun coach-athlete little taboo, a heroine whose aspirations take center stage, and relatively low angst story. Like very little drama at all- and sometimes that’s what my heart needs.
Sugar sweet, charming, and just leaves you feeling all warm and fuzzy. Plus, I loved a story about golf- not a sports theme we see often.
Whewww-eeeee this was such a phenomenal story. I swear I couldn’t flip the pages fast enough. This is a slow burn sports romance that will leave you breathless. Ohhhh….these two characters were meant for one another and as we watch as these two fall…we get one of the sweetest love stories out there. I couldn’t get enough of Lincoln and Kiera. This is probably my most favorite from this author and I assure it will be one of yours.
Highly recommended.
I can say that, Sweet Spot, hits a lot of first from me. One, this is my first time read from the author. Two, this is a golf sports romance- another first. Three, the heroine is the focal of sports romance instead of the hero- again another first for me. So, yes, things are turning out promising at this point.
I have never read the world to which this was supposed to belong, but it didn’t detract me from understanding and even enjoying the story. Lincoln is a hard man to love. He is perfectionist and tough lover when it comes to Keira but it soon changes when they have come to know each other after endless training. I’d say that they are perfect fit. Keira is just as focused, determined and driven to get back her position in the golf ranking. Together, these two are power couple and a force to be reckoned with in the golfing community. I’m pretty positive that this is an age-gap romance, in a coach/ player trope with a touch of taboo/ forbidden feel to it but wasn’t stressed upon throughout the book. After reading this book, I’m stoked to read the Smart Jocks series.
Rebecca Jenshak is an author whose stories I love and Sweet Spot is no exception. This is a NA sports romance that held my attention from start to finish. The novel focused on Golf and I loved that the focus was on a female golf player. This was Keira and Lincoln story, and I loved them together. They were both likable and relatable, had excellent chemistry and I was rooting for them throughout the novel. There was an age gap and the story was a bit of a slow burn but it all flowed well and when the steamy scenes came it was sizzling. Sweet Spot is a low angst, lighthearted tale and the ending made me swoon. I loved it and would highly recommend it to all lovers of sports romance.
The audiobook version was narrated by Erin Mallon and Jacob Morgan. As expected they did a marvelous job with the characters, giving them their own voice and personality. Their voices were clear and understandable and blended well together. They brought the story to life and I enjoyed listening to them narrate this novel.
In golf, the sweet spot is the center of the clubface, which will produce the longest shot from any given club, so it’s that Rebecca Jenshak’s Sweet Shot is a sports romance about the game of golf with the heroine, Keira, a Valley U golfer, and the hero, Lincoln, a pro golfer and elite swing coach.
What I enjoyed the most about Keira and Lincoln’s story is how their mutual love of the game of golf built a connection between them from their first interaction, and while they definitely were attracted to each other from the start, as well, the dynamics of their coach/player relationship and Lincoln’s focus on helping improve Keira’s game above anything personal is what allowed them to get to know one another, establishing a foundation that blossomed into so much more.
I listened to the audio version of Sweet Spot, and Erin Mallon and Jacob Morgan did an amazing job narrating Keira and Lincoln’s story. There’s a playfulness between the two characters that the narrators easily convey and the way they verbally spar with one another plays out quite well on the audio.
I would definitely recommend Jenshak’s sports romances as well as any other stories narrated by Mallon and Morgan.

*****AUDIOBOOK REVIEW *****
I was absolutely smitten with Sweet Spot! Rebecca Jenshak introduces me to golf like I’ve never seen before! Keira and Lincoln were so endearing. I loved Keira’s take-no-crap attitude. These two had some fantastic chemistry and their relationship was great! They really showed a fun relationship full of sweetness and an I ntense and strong chemistry.
Now these narrators are two of my favorite! Erin Mallon plays a strong willed heroine perfectly. I like her voice… she seems to give it an attitute, a little pep in her step. It’s this light and fun voice with a bit of steel behind it. Mixing Jacob Morgan in with Erin Mallon is the sweet spot! You can hear the chemistry Keira and Lincoln have through Morgan and Mallon’s narration.
While I’m not really the biggest fan of older man romances, because I prefer younger men myself, I really did like this story a lot. I classified it as New Adult, because Keira is in college, even if Lincoln is not. The story was sweet, and definitely kept my interest. It took me longer than normal because of the lack of driving places these days, and me really only listening to audiobooks while in the car. I did love both of the narrators though, they did a great job. And I loved Lincoln’s grandma. I’m also hoping there is a book for Lincoln’s brother as well. We’ll see!

My very first listen/read from this author. And my very first sports romance about golf. Its romantic and funny. I loved Lincoln and Keira together. A slow burn and build up. Their story is addictive. The narrator’s did an amazing job. Definitely worth the listen!
When I listened to this audiobook and I got to the parts where they were playing golf, I had no idea what was going on 99% of the time- all I knew was that they were playing. But guess what? I don’t think it makes that much of a difference at all (or maybe I just don’t know what I’m missing?) because the result of each game is summarized by either of the main characters anyway. What I’m saying is that knowledge of golf isn’t at all necessary to enjoy this story- and this story is one fun, swoon-worthy story!
I found Kiera to be a relatable character. After all, I’ve been known to fly off the handle more than I’d like to admit! I think anyone who has to deal with a coach like Coach Potter would lose it too.
Lincoln, on the other hand, was a sweet, thoughtful coach. Maybe a little too thoughtful? I mean, the man was so worried hurting other people that the didn’t realize (until later) that the only person standing in the way to his happiness was himself!
Jacob Morgan and Erin Mallon’s narration was flawless and made listening to this audiobook a highly entertaining experience.
The Sweet Spot is a slow burn contemporary sports romance written in dual first-person POV and narrated dual style. It’s a standalone that ends with a HEA. No cliffhanger, no cheating.
I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.
Sweet Spot (A College Sports Romance) is a character-driven love story told in dual pov. A bit of a age gap, enemies to lovers romance with a coach/ student relationship. I love how this is surrounded around golf as I haven’t heard/read any sports romance involving golf. I found the characters engaging and likeable. I loved Lincoln, his grandmother is a funster. I loved the golf references and found the powwow interesting. A entertaining listen with cute banter between Kiera and Lincoln.
Narrators Erin Mallon, Jacob Morgan were fun to listen to. I love Jacob Morgan’s inflection and Erin Mallon is always great with romantic comedy. Her spunkiness is brought out in the character of Keira. Absolutely loved the narration.
Golf… Some may say it is a boring sport. Why would I want to read a book about it?
Well I was reluctant since I am not a big golf fan however I figured I would give this book a shot.
I was very happy to have picked this up.
Two very talented people come together to bring out the best, to lift each other up, and to constantly want to be a better person for the other.
Kiera is a 21 year old college student striving to become a professional golfer.
She pushes hard but runs into a wall trying to get her place back on her team after a tournament gone wrong.
Kiera meets Lincoln, 30 year old Professional Swing Coach/Business Owner, and convinces him to help her. Lincoln recently had a failed relationship due to being a workaholic and isn’t ready for what Kiera brings to the table.
Together they are perfect for one another. Sharing their love of the game and attraction to each other.
One thing I love about my Kindle is the dictionary. It helps me understand some of the lingo but there wasn’t much I need to look up. Just don’t forget that feature is there and can help.
Some laugh out loud moments, light/non-angsty obstacles, this was exciting to see how Kiera strives to win. The author makes you feel like you are involved in the game and help you enjoy it.
I must say I may no longer tune out my husband when he talks about his golf game but think back and day dream about Lincoln and Kiera.
*Audiobook Review*
This is my first book by Rebecca Jenshak and I absolutely loved it. This is a sweet, sports romance with low angst and drama. I loved the story line. Different in that the heroine is the sports athlete instead of the hero this time.
Keira is a college golfer at Valley U. She is determined, focused and driven. She meets Lincoln, a former pro golfer and convinces him to become her new swing coach. They don’t exact hit it off immediately but as time goes on their connection and attraction grows and it is undeniable.
Lincoln took a bit to warm up to, he was reserved and afraid to fall in love again after a previous marriage ending in divorce but eventually he does and I completely fell for him.
I loved the golf references. I am not a huge golf fan but have seen and heard enough about it that I could follow along with the golf dialogue and not have it take away from the overall story.
This is a slow burn, enemies to lovers/sports romance that I devoured in one day. The narration was perfectly done by Erin Mallon and Jacob Morgan. Their talent blows me away, both bringing so much to the story with the emotion and feeling in their voices.
I enjoyed this and look forward to other audiobooks by this author in the future.
Audio Review
Sweet Spot Indeed
We are back to Valley U but we are playing golf this time.
Keira has a temper and it has caused her grief on the golf course. She has the talent and the power she just needs a little coaching to get her over the hump but for some reason coach seems to have it out for her. When a pro golfer/swing coach comes to Valley to help the boys team it infuriates her to the point she tells the handsome man so. Later that night when she runs into him again, having had a little too much to drink, she shows her temper once again.
Lincoln is a busy man with no time for women but this one intrigues him and he sees her talent even if her coach doesn’t. When she requests his help he can’t do anything but oblige and once he starts spending time with this women he is hooked.
I love this book, it has emotion and great characters as well as just a great story. I’m not a sports fan per say but I love this. It is around golf but it’s a love story and a great build for Keira and Lincoln.
Erin Mallon and Jacob Morgan were perfect for Keira and Lincoln. Their timing was spot on, the emotion they brought keeps you interested throughout and their voices fit these characters. I loved listening to them both.
I loved it and highly recommend it and if you haven’t listened to other books by this author I recommend those as well.
3.5
This golf sports romance was a cute love story. There is some golf terminology throughout the book that was a bit of a struggle for me to understand until I looked it up. But it ends with a happily ever after.
College junior, Keira, ends up meeting business man and coach, Lincoln and asks him for advice on her golfing skills. She clearly doesn’t get any help from her college coach, so she goes elsewhere to become better and reach her goal.
I felt sometimes that there was a lack of substance with different aspects… where they go from friends to being in a physical relationship then directly to being in love with each other. There was a good build up but I feel like it kind of dropped off at the end of each build up. Or how horrible Coach Potter is, or how her dad has an injury to overcome… there are just parts that I thought could’ve been left out or added to.
It’s not a bad book and it was a new type of sports romance for me to read that made me enjoy the book a little more and learn more about the sport at the same time.
Sweet Spot
A College Sports Romance
By: Rebecca Jenshak
Narrated by: Erin Mallon, Jacob Morgan
When I think sports romance, Rebecca Jenshak is quickly becoming my go to author! Her stories are just so good! This new adult romance features Keira, a golfer who is not appreciated by her coach. Highly competitive, she works hard and is willing to do just about anything to get her spot. Lincoln is a golf coach and when he sees her swing, he immediately sees her potential. As a golfer. At least in the beginning. And our story begins with these two. While I love the romance, I immediately was taken with the amount of work it takes to become a golf pro. The training is much more intense and I found it fascinating. I also loved that while these two had a definite chemistry that they were friends first, and built on their mutual interest. It’s fun and refreshing and a pleasure to listen to.
Erin Mallon and Jacob Morgan are wonderful as the narrators for this book. Mallon picks up the spunkiness of Keira, but also adds in some insecurity at times, keeping her real. Morgan becomes Lincoln. A little broody and the unrelenting coach with a tender touch. These two nailed it and enhanced the listen!

A different spin in the normal sports romance. Keira is a 21 college golf player looking to improve her game. Lincoln is a 30 year old Golf Pro swing coach he is instantly enamored with the spunky college student and despite their age gap they click together immediately.
The audio is a must have companion to this book. Jacob Morgan and Erin Mallon who really elevate this story even more.
Sweet Spot was everything I love from a Rebecca Jenshak book. Lincoln and Keira had me hooked from start to finish.
Sweet Spot is a sweet, fun, forbidden romance that had me need more. Keira was sassy and fun, and I just loved her as a person. She lost her spot on the Valley U’s golf team in tournament play. Lincoln was brought into help the boys team but see Keira practicing and offers to help her. The chemistry and attraction between these two is instant. However, can you say slow-burn? Sweet Spot is a slow burn romance that will leave you begging them to get their heads out of the sand.
“Golf is a lot like love, I think. If it isn’t making you a little nuts, is it even real? Passion — good or bad, is how you can gauge what’s really important to people.”
I love sports romance, and I was so excited Jenshak decided to do a golf romance. I have never read one before and it was a happy moment since I played. Valley U is one of my favorite places. It’s filled with hot as sin athletes and sweet love stories with sass.
Sweet Spot is the perfect addition to Rebecca Jenshak’s book list. She delivered a well-written, sweet romance that left me with a smile. Lincoln and Keira are a 5 star read!
I’m a sucker for a sports romance, but this is the first golf romance that I’ve read. It hit that “sweet spot”. I loved Kiera and Lincoln.
Kiera was a firecracker. You never knew what was going to come out of her mouth and she had me laughing out loud several times. After she had a terrible showing at a golf tournament, she had lost some of her confidence and I loved how Lincoln was able to bring that confidence back.
Lincoln was determined to keep some distance between him and Kiera, but he couldn’t fight his attraction to her. I loved watching him realize that the past doesn’t always repeat itself and that he can grow and change to be successful both personally and professionally.
This was a great slow burn romance with a bit of angst and tons of laugh. It was also great to catch up with past characters and I can’t wait to read Heath’s story. Kiera and Lincoln’s story is definitely a hole-in-one.
