Baytown Boys…
Military duty called them away to war zones, but after tours overseas, the group of friends found their way back home as men, seeking the peaceful little seaside town. Now, the band of brothers, together once more, work to provide a place for less fortunate veterans to call home.
Language and scenes similar to what you would find in an R-rated movie.

“Happy dance, happy dance!” I’m doing my happy dance! I love when this author has a new book out! And I adore this series!!! I hope it never ends! Ms. Jordan writes the swooniest heroes EVER! I believe I have fallen in love with them all and Jason is no exception! And Rose is an awesome character also! Throw in a great storyline, a little mystery, sizzle and romance and you have yourself one heck of a book! Not to mention visiting characters from previous books in the series! Always a win for me! Thank you Ms. Jordan for writing what I love!
I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an ARC copy of this book.
Sweet Rose (Baytown Boys book 10) is perfect! I think this is my new favorite Baytown Boys Book. I have been waiting for Jason’s story. We got little bits and pieces of Jason’s character in the previous Baytown Boys books, so I knew that once Jason got his book it was going to be so good…that is putting it mildly. I absolutely loved Jason and Rose’s story. I will not give any spoilers, as I do not want to ruin it for you. Jason and Rose’s relationship started off…how to describe it…differently?…okay, we will go with that. Everything about them was so perfect and I was just swooning over Jason. Sweet Rose, Baytown Boys book 10 has everything you could ask for. It has drama and mystery, action, a wonderful love story, and let’s not forget about the HOT steamy sex scenes…like you are going to forget that! You will also learn that any plans you make for your future is never set in stone. It is a lesson the poor Rose learns over and over and over again. The character development was fantastic. I really love that the characters from the previous books are always included in every book. I confess I might even like Mayor Corbin Banks now! Maryann Jordan has definitely delivered another hit. Sweet Rose is a must read. I wonder if Joseph, the newest member of Baytown, will get his story told. Cannot wait to see what Maryann Jordan has in store for us next.
Sweet Rose
Maryann Jordan
Rose comes back to Baytown to finally open her ice cream shop. It is right across the street from the shop Jason bought first. Can they get past how her actions and leaving Baytown seems to taint her return?
This is one of the best Baytown, but I think that each new one comes along. How can she top this sweet romance with a touch of deadly mystery. A surprise twist or two at the end.
Definitely a must read.
Loved loved this book and this series. Everything Maryann writes is a winner in my opinion. You feel the love and friendship with every character.
To be honest, when I saw the title of this book I wasn’t completely sold. But once I started reading and got Rose’s story and got to know Rose, there is no other title this book could have. It is perfect.
The story is sweet but not sticky sweet. It is a bit of insta-lust which quickly revs up to insta-love. It is a second chance story of Rose’s return to Baytown after life handed her some road blocks on her journey to her dreams.
“Honey, life is change. Plans are good…they give us goals and guidance. But they’re not written in stone and shouldn’t be. Life happens. We reevaluate. We adapt. And we make new plans.”
I loved the mystery aspect of the story when Rose makes a gruesome discovery in her new building and shakes things up in quiet Baytown!!
“He watched her smile, and his heart ached, wondering if there was a way he could hold onto that smile forever. Just like that, no artifice. No pretense. Just this beautiful woman who looked up to him as though he could move mountains.”
Jason is an awesome swoony hero who puts Rose first in everything. He falls for her hard and never wavers! I absolutely adore this story and only wish it went on longer. Maybe I’ll have to reread 😉
-5 Stars!!-
I love small-town romances and I love Baytown. Even though Jason and Rose didn’t grow up in Baytown, the citizens welcome them with open arms. The story is wonderfully written, and the characters are well-developed. The story has mystery, suspense, and romance. Sweet Rose is a great addition to the Baytown Boys Series. I highly recommend this book and series.
Sworn Worthy Story .
I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of Sweet Rose . This is another fantastic story in The Baytown Boys Series .
The story is so beautifully written .
I feel like I’m right there in Baytown with the gang . Rise came to Baytown she wants to open an Ice cream shop , after a sexual and very steamy night with Jason the new Garage / Tattoo shop owner . She is called home to an emergency with her parents . Jason is left wondering what happened . 3 years later Rose returns
to finally open her Ice cream shop across the street from Jason . The chemistry is still there between them .
While getting her shop up and running and dating Jason a few unexpected things happen . This story is interesting , Intriguing , there is suspense and some action . I really enjoyed this story . I highly recommend taking the time to read this story and enjoy . There is nothing like the Baytown stories .
I love the stories from this town and this one was no exception.
Jason and Rose make a wonderful couple, even if they did start their relationship backwards.
I enjoyed the mystery unraveling after the morbid discovery in the cellar.
A great entertaining story with interesting characters and a beautiful ending.
This is one to read. Thoroughly enjoyed Jason and Rose. This book has everything you want. Heart, family, friends, small-town and some heat. Throw in the mystery and it will keep you turning the pages. Definitely recommend reading. I received a free copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a review
Have you ever read a series that you never want to end? Well this would be the series for me! Maryann Jordan writes stories that leave our hearts full but then leaves us wanting more. We want to know who is next and can’t wait for their book.
Jason and Rose’s story is so sweet! I couldn’t wait to see what happened between these two. And what a beautiful story we got. The title SWEET ROSE is absolutely perfect for this book. You get a good meaty story with lots of emotions. You get to hear about everything happening in Baytown.
Jason finds himself in Baytown, running a garage and tattoo shop. Needing somewhere to land he decides that Baytown is a good place to plant some roots. What he wasn’t expecting as to fall for Rose.
Rose wanted the space that Jason ended up getting. And when she went over there to tell him off about it, something else happened. But after one special night, Rose had to leave and wouldn’t be back for a few years.
Once she’s back, feelings begin to resurface again and these two figure out how to make everything work. And what a sweet story it makes.
I always love Maryann Jordan’s writing and this one has to be the sweetest of them all.
Highly recommended.
*I was given a free advanced copy of this book by the author in exchange for my honest and voluntary review. All thoughts and opinions are those of my own.*
This is part of a series, I started with Rose and Jason’s book. I enjoyed reading this small town contemporary romance book. I definitely will be reading more of Maryann’s books.
We are back in Baytown, where boys left to join the military, and returned as honorable strong men. Along the way they have invited some of their military friends to live, heal and prosper in this idillic town.
This time it’s Zac’s friend Jason who we get to spend time with.
Jason is impressed with the town and it’s people and has decided to open a garage, and a small tattoo shop. Something that throws off the plans of the town’s new resident, Rose Parker. She was planning to open an ice cream shop.
After a night together she leaves and when she comes back, the attraction is still very much alive.
Upon her return , things not only heat up, but a body is found. Who is this person? How long have they been dead and why?
In general the story was sweet with some mystery thrown in. It’s also a story about life.
As the author reminds us “…life is change. Life happens. We reevaluate. We adapt. And we make new plans.”
A very true statement.
This was a sweet addition to the series and a chance to catch up with some of the characters of previous stories.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Sweet Rose and what every girl needs Jason…this couple has it all…chemistry, charm, wit and it seems like they’re starting a relationship backwards but it totally works for them. Maryann Jordan brings relationships to life with mystery, warmth, caring, sexiness but most of all love
Sweet Rose is a heart warming story by Maryann Jordan. This is almost magical. It has a little suspense, it is a page turner. I had difficulties putting it down. It has romance , and is easy to read and it is sweet. I loved it . I recommend this book.
I have been waiting for the motorcycle riding, long haired, hot guy Jason’s book. I was not disappointed. I absolutely fell in love with Jason and Rose. This book is right up there in my top five favorite Maryann Jordan books.
Jason and Rose have a night to remember, but are separated by miles and several years. When she comes back to Baytown, misunderstandings keep them apart, but not for long. This book is a sweet romance just like the title Sweet Rose. I absolutely adored this book, can’t stress that enough. If you love Maryann Jordan books you will be gushing over this book too.
The title says it all. This is a sweet story of Jason and Rose, two people who have decided to make Baytown their home. I have loved Maryann Jordan’s writing since I read the book Gabe in 2017. She is a strong writer with well thought out characters and plots. Sweet Rose has everything you want in a Jordan story: Romance, mystery, strong alpha man, strong woman with her own sense of self and surprises along with characters from the past Baytown Boys books. (This can be read as a standalone, but once you read it you will want to go back and read about the others. I could not put this book down. I received this as an ARC and voluntarily give my review.
I’m a huge fan of this series and with each book it feels like coming home to friends. The characters, old and new are all so different but at the same time have the same inner core. They have integrity, compassion and honour. All in some way have served their country and now have either returned to Baytown or have found Baytown thro their military connections. We met Jason and Rose early on in the series and their story was one I couldn’t wait for. It was as the title says such a sweet and sad story but uplifting as well. It was one of those books that once you start you can’t put down. I was up half the night reading this. Their love was so sweet to watch as it grew quickly but strongly. The emotions this book pulled ranged from pride to anger and then love for the characters. Well most of them anyway. Some are not redeemable lol. Now I can’t wait to see who’s up next. Hmm I hope Colt gets his story soon. Great book. Loved it.
