Bayside Summers is a series of standalone romance novels featuring fiercely loyal heroes and sassy, empowered women. In Sweet Passions at Bayside…
When Emery Andrews’s best friend, Desiree, moves away, falls in love, and opens an inn all in one summer, she feels her absence like a missing limb. Until she visits over the holidays and meets sinfully hot Dean Masters, who’s as easy on the eyes as he is to talk to. After returning home, what starts as a flurry of late-night flirtations quickly turns into a deep connection and unexpected friendship. Now, months later, Desiree offers Emery a job teaching yoga at the inn. Adventurous Emery jumps at the chance and heads for Wellfleet, Massachusetts, to reunite with her BFF and her new close friend, Dean.
After months of sharing their lives, and their secrets, over video chats and phone calls, Dean’s ready to move things to the next level. The fact that Emery seems oblivious to the sparks between them and has recently put her foot down about dating friends just means he’ll have to bide his time.
When Emery finds a man in her kitchen the first morning she’s there, Dean doesn’t hesitate to move her into his guest room. Maybe now Emery will see what’s right before her eyes-although that guy she’s got a date with might be a problem.

5 Stars for “Sweet Passions at Bayside” eBook ARC Review
Such a sweet, cute and funny friends-to-lovers read. I absolutely adore Emery and Dean. Highly recommend! Can’t wait to read more about this group!
We met Emery in Sweet Love at Bayside and seeing Desiree fall in love and decide to stay, Emery has decided to take the plunge also and up sticks and move to Bayside to be beside her and work in the resort doing yoga classes. Emery and Dean became close after Desiree’s wedding and both of them have been talking for months late into the night getting closer and closer with each call. Emery sees Dean as her BFF as well and is so comfortable around him that it makes the chemistry even stronger.
Dean would love nothing more than to show her what a relationship with him could be like, but she is reluctant as she always ruins her previous ones and doesn’t want to cross that line with Dean for fear of losing their amazing friendship at the same time.
Will she give Dean a chance and let him show her how good they can be together? Or will she ruin it before things get off the ground?
I really enjoyed this book. I’m a sucker for friends to lovers story and this was a good one. Getting to know Dean and Emery a little in Sweet Love at Bayside I was really looking forward to their book. I loved Dean. He’s definitely dream guy material. I loved that he does the little things. Dean and Emery are perfect for one another. Emery has some inner debates to work through if Dean and her have a chance. Loved visiting with Desiree and Rick too to see how their HEA is going. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in the series!
I have yet to read a book by Ms. Cole that I didn’t like. Sweet Passions at Bayside made me want to live in that world and make those characters my new friends.
I love that Emery can be so strong and independent, despite somewhat overbearing brothers. Emery proves that sometime you have to let others know you before you can truly know yourself.
Dean, oh how I love Dean! I want him for my own. I love that he stands up for himself with his family, but still supports them. He was much more than I expected him to be, and that made me love him even more.
I can’t wait to see more of the Bayside group in Sweet Heat at Bayside
What a quick read with easy to relate to characters! We have all been hurt in relationships and feel damaged so you can relate to Emery and her fear in dating. Truly enjoyable read for your next trip to the beach!
This is by far on the top of my most favorite books so far. Addison has added a medical aspect to her books and for that I have become a much bigger fan (if at all possible). Along with the medical she has added a naturalistic theme with yoga, outdoorsy, nature and it just all goes together. This one is a definite must read. One of the many things I am loving about Addison Cole’s books are while they are stand alone she also brings her characters from her previous books into the book to add to the lives of the couples in the current book. You are never left wondering what happened to your favorite couple(s) because she brings you up to date about them without taking anything away from the current couple/story line. I am just such a big fan. I highly, highly recommend this book… this author. Trust me, you cannot go wrong!
Another great story set in Bayside. The wonderful characters from Sweet love at Bayside are back. In addition, Desiree’s best friend Emory has come to Bayside to teach yoga at the inn. A plus for Emory is her other best friend Dean also leaves there. Watch these two see if they can move from friendship to lovers. This was really fun to read.
Emery’s best friend moves away and she makes the hard decision to start her yoga business over and join her. She starts on her way and has to detour to Dean’s house, which is wonderful since they’ve been talking to each other nightly since they met at Christmas time. Instant sparks, heat, and attraction. There is no doubt that there is something between them but Emery has rules against dating friends. I LOVE that Dean decides rules shmules… he doesn’t follow her rules and pushes her to go against her own rules and date him. The three outings (they were not dates) were so original, so loving, so fun, and so amazing that I was jealous that no one ever made that effort for me. These outings also gave her a glimpse into his life, his family, and his career while allowing her to open up letting him in little by little.
Oh my… these characters are so wonderful. They are not perfect, they are real, they have feelings, and they are friends of mine. With each Love in Bloom book that I pick up I am excited to see what happens, to see what characters are introduced, and to see what characters come back into the series so that I can catch up with their lives. Their relationships with each other are so real and full of feeling that I can feel the love between them. They are more like families then friends and there is never a doubt that they have each other’s backs.
Addison Cole writes this series so that the characters and settings are familiar but each book is its own story. There is an ending to each book and each book starts with a new couple to explore. The series can be read in any order and are wonderful no matter where you start your reading. I can guarantee that once you start reading you will not be able to stop.
Sweet Passions at Bayside is book two in the Sweet with Heat: Bayside Summers series. When Emery visits her friend, Desiree, she meets Dean. Her visit isn’t long, but they they continue to chat after Emery goes back home, building a powerful friendship. When Desiree offers Emery a job, she accepts and moves there. Dean is thrilled, but Emery has a no-dating-friends rule. He’s determined to get her to break that rule. Can he do it? This story was enjoyable to read, and I highly recommend it.
Sweet Passions at Bayside by Addison Cole. Dean and Emery’s story with a lot of heart. I like that Emery makes Dean work for the relationship he wants and she’s trying to avoid. Another wonderful story for Sweet with Heat stories.
A fun, sweet and entertaining read. This is Emery and Dean’s story. You can’t help falling in love with the characters. I enjoyed reading their journey as they push the limits of friendship to more than friends. I loved the connection and chemistry between the characters. It’s an entertaining read and look forward to reading more.
Sweet Passions at Bayside is a well written story about a long distance friendship that turns into much more. Emery and Dean spent months getting to know each other before Emery moves to town. There is a push and pull between Emery and Dean, along with that sweet heat. One believes in true love while the other doesn’t. I truly love how Emery realized that what she shared with Dean for all of those months became more than anything she ever hoped for.
I volunteered to review an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
A passionate yet sweet story about two friends, Emery Andrews and Dean Masters, that find love and support from each other while navigating the change from long distance BFF’s to close contact happily ever after lovers.
These two friends are side characters from Sweet Love at Bayside the first in this new series, Sweet with Heat:Bayside Summers. They are the best friends of Desiree Cleary and Rick Savage and met when Emery came to Wellfleet when Rick proposed to Desiree. They instantly connected and have built a long distance bff relationship over late night talks, via skype and FaceTime, giving each other the support that was lacking as Desiree and Rick built their own HEA. They know nearly everything about each other and now that Emery has moved to the Cape, Dean really wants to take their relationship to the next level beyond friends. Deep down Emery wants that too but has emotional baggage and tries to convince herself that it would never work. Dean has his own emotional baggage and is convinced that together the two of them can fix each other and live happily ever after. These two characters have enough chemistry and heat between them to melt the sun! I loved seeing how this all played out!
One of the best things about Addison Cole’s writing is that she writes from the heart, and always writes true to life. The reader can see the scenes as they unfold and feel all of the passion and emotion of the characters. In Ms, Cole’s Sweet with Heat series its her colorful community and family centered characters bond in a way that makes the reader wish that they had that same kind of bond with friends and family.( if they do have that bond, her writings make them feel they are glad that they do.)
Sweet Passion at Bayside is another wonderful sweet with heat romance by the incredible Addison Cole.
The writing is outstanding it really reels you in from the very start of the story till the end of the book. This is Emery and Dean’s story we get to watch two great characters come together in a slow sweet dance. They have a chemistry but sometimes there is a moment when you think don’t they feel it because I certainly do. This is an author that makes you feel as though you are part of this amazing sweet with heat story. I was hooked and didn’t want this book to end but I absolutely cannot wait for more of this wonderful series. I absolutely loved and 100% recommend this incredible book. A definite must read, a story you definitely won’t want to miss. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and I couldn’t put this book down. Hope you will enjoy it as much as I did.
This is a wonderful book, as calm meets chaos. Usually, long distance relationships just do not work out, but in this case, it made Emery and Dean’s “friendship” stronger. Yes, they classified it as friendship. Then, Emery moves to the Cape where Dean and her best friend live. Even though the chemistry between them is so strong, things do not just jump from friendship to more. There is a story to tell, of course. Addison Cole takes her characters on a ride, that we, the readers, feel like we are a part of with them. I laughed, smiled, cried, and cheered as I read this book. Emery and Dean are very different people, but they are wonderful together. It was so hard to let them go at the end. I am so looking forward to the next book in the series. I very highly recommend that you one click this book.
Dean and Emery are so much fun! The two of them are complete opposites, different families, different upbringings, different wants, but when they meet their instant chemistry sparks instant friendship, and more for Dean. Emery moves to Bayside at the beginning of the book and through a series of occurrences, the two keep getting drawn closer together. Will their chemistry and love draw them together, or will Dean’s father force them apart?
Have you ever met someone & just clicked? You felt like you had known the other person your entire life? Everything was so easy that you just knew something was going to go wrong? This is the feeling that Sweet Passions at Bayside brought to my mind. Emery & Dean met & just fell into friendship & a relationship. That’s sounds so easy & it really wasn’t but you get the idea. They met at a wedding & clicked. Then they carried on a long distance friendship for months. Late night phone calls & texting sessions enabled them to get to know each other without anything else getting in the way. Now that Emery has moved to the Cape, can they move beyond friendship or will something happen to derail the relationship?
This was truly a “happy” book. Emery’s character is open, friendly & bubbly – exactly the way you’d expect a yoga instructor to be. Dean is built. Strange thing for me to fixate on but what can I say. He’s also patient, sensitive & sexy. What I really loved was the way the author showed that they truly were better people together. He helped her to calm down & be a little less chaotic. He also pushed her to the career he knew she loved but was afraid to pursue. She helped him to smile! She also helped him to be less serious & introspective. This was another great story to add to the Bayside group but can easily be a stand alone.
Emery and Dean are good friends who become lovers. Dean has known all along that Emery was the one for him. Emery was in denial. Once she comes to the realization that Dean is the one for her, yoga isn’t her only passion. Dean is solid and grounding like the earth, while Emery swirls around like air and water. They balance each other out, and I loved it. I thoroughly enjoyed the kitties and their antics.
I think this was one of my more favorite friends-to-lovers story to date.
This is the second book in the series, focusing on Emery & Dean. They met when Emery came to visit Desiree & meet Rick in Bayside. From the time they met, Dean & Emery hit it off & became great friends, texting & talking to each other daily. Emery was invited to go to Bayside, to teach yoga at the resort that Rick, his brother Drake & Dean own as well as the inn that Desiree owns/runs with her sister Vi. Emery had dated friends before & it never ended well so she was wary about dating Dean but he was adamant that they are right for each other. I loved the banter & relationship Dean & Emery have. This was a great story, one I couldn’t put down.
Emery is a yoga just do it and worry about it later kind of girl. She met Dean at Christmas during a visit to her best friend Desiree‘s place. Dean loves his job, his gardening and most of all he loves the idea of his now best friend moving to the Cape. The two instantly hit it off and develop a close friendship over the months and her moving is exciting for both of them. Emery is ready to start a new life and she swears to stay away from dating any of her friends; it always ended badly for her. Dean wants Emery more now that she is within reach and he will stop at nothing to make her realize how good they can be together.
I love the yoga inner spiritual peace that transpires thru Emery’s heart and mind and how far away Dean his ready to go to win her. They both struggle with family history but they heal each other with their strong bond. I love the kinship, the friendship between all the characters and to see more of the Bayside residents and a few of the Seaside ones!
