Lyla Dupree She’s a bubbly, sugary sweet pastry chef. Living her best life in the Big Apple. Luxury apartment. Successful patisserie. Everything is great–better than great. It’s absolutely perfect. Raleigh Jacobs He’s grumbly and growly–and so very out of his element–working on a temporary assignment in NYC. He wants to do his job and get out. Back to the clean air in the mountains near … get out. Back to the clean air in the mountains near Denver.
Throw them together.
Mix things up.
Turn up the heat and what you get is, quite simply, alarming.
After all, 425 Madison is the perfect place to fall in love.

I love this series and the 425 world. Each book is full of characters to love and root for!
Sweet on You is no different…I love Lyla and Raleigh, and almost immediately knew they were gonna be some of my favorites! A hunky mountain man in the big city…annoyed by none other than a fabulous pastry chef neighbor?! Does it get better??
The only reason I couldn’t give it the full 5 stars is because I just wanted more. More story, more detail, more blanks filled in. I just didn’t feel satisfied I got everything when the book came to an end.
I LOVED this book…! The characters were relatable, quirky, likable and their chemistry was great. I enjoyed the storyline, how the relationship developed, and the challenges they faced to be together. Throughly enjoyed this book!
I loved this book but at the beginning I was quite annoyed with Raleigh!! I really disliked him at the beginning and I was so sure I wouldn’t enjoy the rest. But as I got to know him and why he was a grumpy grouch I started to accept him.
Lyla was the rockstar of this book! She is quirky and rambles. The way I picture her in my head is she’s this cute short blonde with waves in her hair and chocolate on her face! She really makes this book what it truly is and that’s swoon worthy! She makes you swoon more than Raleigh does.
I am 100% a big fan of this series and 425 Madison Ave!! I can’t get enough of these people and while this story has bumps in the road, they still lead to a happy one. No matter the how or why, they get to a place in life that just makes you feel it in your soul. Once I started this sorry I couldn’t put it down!! Just trying to figure out Raleigh was enough of an annoyance to keep me interested in his grumpy self!
Grumpy guy Raleigh and lovely Layla have a great story in this latest in the series. Wonderful main and supporting characters! Entertaining and enjoyable!
I have read all of the 425 Madison series this far and learned that there are some that I love and some – not so much. I did not dislike this book, but I struggled with Raleigh’s attitude and behavior. Where Lyla and Raleigh’s son Matty are sweet, happy, rays of sunshine, Raleigh had an attitude for about 80-85% of the novel. I love romances where things may start out rocky and then the characters fall in lust/love, but Raleigh never really showed any permanent growth/changes regarding his attitude, which unfortunately affected my overall impression of Lyla also. What did she want someone so moody???
I enjoyed KC Enders writing style and certainly would like to read more from her in the future. Although I liked the premise of Sweet on You, it was impossible to really love this one because of Raleigh.
Love this series by these different authors. Sweet on You is just absolutely great and I adore these characters a lot. Can’t wait for more at all.
A thoroughly sweet, funny and entertaining read. I was laughing from the first page! This is the first book I’ve read by K.C. Enders and enjoyed it very much. Her writing is refreshing, descriptive and her characters are well developed.
Lyla and Raleigh are complete opposites. She’s a bubbly and chatty sweetheart. He’s a gruff and grumpy nontalking hunk. Lyla is a baker who owns a pastry shop and enjoys trying out new recipes in her apartment. Unfortunately, Lyla has a sensitive smoke alarm that goes off at all hours while she is baking. Raleigh is an engineer, temporarily in NYC to work on a subway project. He does not want to be where he is and can’t wait to get back home to Colorado and his small son. Raleigh sublets an apartment at 425 Madison Avenue and is a neighbor to Lyla. Their first meeting goes off on the wrong foot, with Lyla’s alarm sounding. Thus begins the contentious relationship between our two main characters.
However, Lyla finds out that Raleigh has a secret weakness…her chocolate croissants!
The question is, will Lyla be able to soften up Raleigh with her sweet treats that he drops the grumpy facade and asks her out? You’ll need to pick up a copy of Sweet on You, to find out!

KC Enders doesn’t disappoint in this sweet romance! I finished the book in one day because I couldn’t put it down. It will give you that chest tightening with all the good feels. The perfect balance of sweet and heat!
I am loving this whole series! One of the best parts for me is getting introduced to new authors. This was the first book I have read from K.C. Enders and I really enjoyed it. Sweet on You was definitely a sweet read in many ways and I couldn’t put it down. From the beginning I was pulled in wanting to find out more about Raleigh, what his “issue” was, and what he was all about but that quickly changed to having to see what came next for Raleigh and Lyla. If you’re in the mood for a sugary sweet spicy read, look no further!
Raleigh isnt happy about having to come to NYC to take care of business leaving behind his son and the fresh air of Denver. Subletting an apartment for a couple months that he’ll be there his introduction to his place is a fire alarm blaring from the apartment next door.
Lyla a pastry chef who loves to bake at home but has a sensitive fire alarm, who also loves to ramble doesn’t make the best impression to her grumpy neighbor.
Watching these two dance around each other was sometimes frustrating and sometimes a little hot, he wants to give but can he, she’s deciding where to open her next pastry shop.
Rooting for these two from the beginning to the very last page, oh there’s a cute boy in there too!
This was a cute, quick read. Raleigh is in NYC temporarily for work, subletting an apartment in 425 Madison for his stay. Next door is Lyla, a pastry chef with a malfunctioning smoke alarm. Tired of watching Raleigh be constantly in a bad mood and either working or in the apartment, Lyla decides to befriend him and get him out of the building. They eventually give in to their mutual attraction, even knowing Raleigh is only there for a short time.
I loved the scenes with Matty. Raleigh as a dad was a whole other layer to his character that we wouldn’t have been shown otherwise. Lyla’s employee Sam the First was both hilarious and awful – perfect for a book but would drive customers away in real life! I also really liked that there was no big engagement or anything like that at the end of this novella. In some of the others in this series it doesn’t bother me, because the characters have know each other for years and have a history. They didn’t in this case and that type of ending wouldn’t have rang true for me. Especially with Raleigh being a single dad.
Two things did bother me about this book, however. First is that Lyla got to know so much about Raleigh, but at the end, even after their relationship had been going on for weeks, he didn’t even know where she was from. And secondly, all throughout the book Lyla kept referring negatively to her relationship with her mother. The brief snippet we got of a phone conversation between the two of them, however, was completely different than we had been led to believe. Which is great for them as characters, but there was zero resolution anywhere to make that believable. Overall, however, the book was enjoyable.
Lyla is a baker with a bubbly personality. A new neighbor moves in next to her apartment so she decides to get to know him. Raleigh is working a temporary job and can’t wait to go back to his home in Colorado. The two clash in personalities but the attraction is there between them. A sweet, sexy contemporary romance.
Take one quirky, cute female add in one hot, slightly grumpy flannel wearing male, mix in a cute little kid, a hilarious co-worker, an annoying ex wife, then sprinkle in some other fun side characters and you’re got yourself one freshly baked book that is tasty and delightful!
Loved Lyla and her quirks, loved Raleigh, with his rough exterior and moosh on the inside. Enjoyed seeing them work through things together.
A sweet romance with just enough angst mixed in!
This book is part of the 425 Madison series, which are new to me too. The story revolves around Lyla and her new neighbour Raleigh. Problems with Lyla’s smoke alarm do not impress new neighbour Raleigh one bit!!! This book pulls you in and keeps you intrigued as to where the story will take you. It tugs at your heart strings and a few tears should be expected. Brilliant read, cannot wait for the next book.
I absolutely loved this book and was honored to have been able to read and review. It was such a phenomenal read and had amazing characters as well as an amazing story line. I just could not get enough of it and once I started reading it I could not put it down. I recommend that you read it.
“I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.”
I absolutely loved this book! It was thoroughly enjoyable! I couldn’t put it down. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars!
OMG, the sweetness in this book!!! I loved every single second of this gruff guy and the sweet as cupcakes baker across the hall.
This story had me laughing so much but I also shed more than a few tears. I couldn’t get enough of Lyla and Raleigh!! I wanted to savor this book but just couldn’t put it down.
I loved the cameo of some other beloved characters and am keeping my fingers crossed that I see these amazing people again!!
Raleigh and Lyla will touch your hearts while having you all in their corner cheering them on their journey to a happily ever after. Raleigh is a little jaded when it comes to women after his ex wife’s betrayal that lead to a divorce. Lyla has her own baggage but these tow meet in New York and as Raleigh struggles between his work and making time for his son, Lyla adds that ray of sunshine that makes his life brighter. When Raleigh says some hurtful things in his moment of panic, will he end up losing his ray of sunshine? Sweet On You is one story you will want to cuddle up with! I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
Oh man this book had everything I was looking for.

Thank you KC for another fabulous book
A great release by KC Enders and 425 Madison Ave novel. Raleigh and Lyla have great connection!
Lyla is quirky and Raleigh is that hard guy with a history. I love how she breaks him down.
I love all the characters, how the story develops, how everything gets mixed up but how they get to happily ever after!
