Britt Bradford and Zander Ford have been the best of friends since they met thirteen years ago. Unbeknown to Britt, Zander has been in love with her for just as long.Independent and adventurous Britt channels her talent into creating chocolates at her hometown shop. Zander is a bestselling author who’s spent the past 18 months traveling the world. He’s achieved a great deal but still lacks the … lacks the only thing that ever truly mattered to him–Britt’s heart.
When Zander’s uncle dies of mysterious causes, he returns to Merryweather, Washington, to investigate, and Britt is immediately there to help. Although this throws them into close proximity, both understand that an attempt at romance could jeopardize their once-in-a-lifetime friendship. But while Britt is determined to resist any change in their relationship, Zander finds it increasingly difficult to keep his feelings hidden.
As they work together to uncover his uncle’s tangled past, will the truth of what lies between them also, finally, come to light?

Becky Wade has outdone herself with the final installment of the Bradford Sisters Romance series. After reading and adoring the first two books (and the novellas) in this series, I could not wait to get my copy of Sweet On You and read Britt and Zander’s story. I absolutely adored the previous books, and already loved Britt and Zander from those stories, so I knew this one would be amazing. It was better than I could even have hoped for.
Sweet On You is a friends to more story and it’s the first time Becky Wade has used this premise. I hope she uses it much, much more because she wrote this one masterfully! Although, obviously, not all male/female friendships are destined for more, Britt and Zander’s definitely is – the only two who can’t see it are Britt and Zander. Truly, Zander is an absolute dream. How Britt can be so oblivious, I’ll never know. Zander, on the other hand, just can’t see a relationship with Britt going from wish to reality. I am so thankful that Becky Wade is not blind to their plight and sets her pen to helping them realize (and bring to fruition) their love for one another.
Becky Wade’s characters are consistently well developed, real and relatable. Britt and Zander are already beloved to those of us who’ve read the rest of this series and the feeling only grows as we read Sweet On You. I love that we are treated to glimpses of them when they were younger through notes and journal entries shared at the end of each chapter.
The Bradford Sisters Romance series is set in the fictional town of Merryweather, Washington. Merryweather is a place that you look forward to revisiting in each book and a place you really wish you could visit in person. Both Britt and Zander grew up in this wonderful town. Britt has realized her dream of becoming a chocolatier in her very own “Sweet Art” Chocolate shop and Zander has been traveling the world with the advance from his highly successful, best-selling novel. Sweet On You begins with Zander having just returned to Merryweather and I so enjoyed his appreciation of this special place – as well as one special someone – in the opening scene.
In this story, just like the others in this series, Becky Wade has added a thread of mystery. The purpose for Zander’s return to Merryweather is that his uncle, who raised him has died. Upon arrival he learns that the circumstances surrounding his uncle’s death are suspicious. He vows to get to the bottom of this mystery, and this leads him and Britt on a journey to find answers. Although not a “suspense” book…there were a few times that I was almost on the edge of my seat waiting to learn what happens next. I’m very much enjoying the mystery aspect Becky Wade is adding into her stories.
One of my favorite things about Becky Wade’s writing is that she shares the faith walk of her characters. Just like in real life, we are all in different places in our relationship with God. Her characters reflect that. Britt is very independent and in Sweet On You she learns that it’s okay to need God and those He has put in her life. Zander learns to truly trust God with what is most important to him. I love seeing characters grow in their faith, because it causes me to grow in my faith too.
Sweet On You is the perfect conclusion to the Bradford Sisters Romance series. Becky Wade did a fantastic job of weaving everything together and leaving her readers feeling on top of the world, while at the same time, feeling a bit sad that we’re at the end of this series and saying goodbye to the people of Merryweather. Thankfully, we can visit anytime we want by just picking up one of the books in this series to re-read.
If you’ve read my previous reviews, you know that I am a stickler for reading my books in order…because I feel it’s a richer experience. This is true of the Bradford Sisters Romance series too, but Sweet On You can be read as a stand-alone novel. So, whether you choose to read in order or jump right in…head on down to your local bookstore (or online to your favorite bookseller) and get your copy now!! You’ll be glad you did!
* Thanks to the publisher and the author for the complimentary copy to review. A good review was neither encouraged nor requested. All thoughts expressed are my own.
Y’all I have been waiting for this book for THREE years! I fell in love with Zander and Britt in book 1. (As did the rest of the CF population)
I have been anxiously awaiting the day Britt would open her eyes and fall head over heels in love with Zander. (Every other woman already had)
I was excited to actually get a full book of Zander’s perspective. We finally to truly meet him. All of his thoughts, feelings, strengths and weaknesses. I loved him in the first book, but love him even more now. “Zander Ford, wealthy Dickensian orphan.”
If you look up the definition of persistence and patience in the dictionary, a picture of Zander Ford comes up. The man had been in love with Britt since they were 14, but still was a GREAT best friend. His heart had been trampled on over and over, but he still held on because he loved her. Okay scratch my previous “patient and persistent”…Zander was a SAINT! Plus his little quirks about closing doors and loading the dishwasher were ADORABLE.
Britt on the other hand…
I really liked her in the first two books and was excited to finally get into her head, but she started to get under my skin.
1) I wanted to shake her until she saw how much Zander loved her.
2) Her “independent/I’m fine” attitude got really old for me.
I’m all for independent characters, but when it becomes the answer to everything it start to wear on me. I had a hard time truly connecting with her as the story progressed.
I LOVE the “best friend to boyfriend” troupe! The romances always have the best foundation since they know everything about each other. This one was no different. I loved the chemistry and relationship between the characters. Though it took so long for it to come to light, it was really a great love story!
The mystery element was really interesting and well done. It was nice to have an additional plot line to the romance. It was fun to see this author dabble in something a little outside her normal genre.
I have the loved the Bradford sisters since the beginning, it’s bittersweet to see it end, but Becky wrapped up the series very well. It’s definitely going to be something I’ll reread.
I rated this book 4/5 stars.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK
I love Becky Wade books! This is such a sweet romance, pretty predictable, but that’s ok. And with a bit of mystery added in, which wasnt so predictable, it keeps you turning those pages to find out what in the world is going on. Zander is a sweetheart, and can you believe how long he waited for Britt? That tell me exactly what kind of man he is, and what kind of his and he will be. Britt on the other hand, I thought was a bit of a brat at times. And I had a hard time trying to like her at times. But there is always one character that gets under my skin in a book, and that’s one of the things that makes the book so great.
The book cover is beautiful, I would definitely choose this book by its cover, even if I didn’t know the author! Again, Becky Wade writes an absolutely wonderful book for her readers to read! A week after I finish reading Sweet On You and I am still thinking about the characters and their story. I’ve said enough, the rest you will need to find out when you read this amazing book! And you can already tell, I highly recommend this book for anyone looking for a good clean read. You will no be disappointed!
A copy of this book was given to me by the author or publisher. I am not required to write a positive review. The opinions here in this review are totally mine alone. I am disclosing this with my review in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission
Britt and Zander know how to do friendship. They are 100% there for each other, even in little ways they don’t allow each other to see but are revealed to the reader in snippets from notes over the years. Unrequited love come to fruition is one of my favorite types of romance, and I’ve been looking forward to Zander finally getting his girl! I loved getting inside his head and experiencing the longing and yearning he has for Britt, while also fulfilling his own aspirations in the meantime. The mystery behind his uncle’s hidden past and the suspense it brought to the plot was the perfect balance for the angst Britt and Zander are feeling and also providing them the opportunities to get closer together. For much of the book Britt did such a good job convincing herself that there was no romance between herself and Zander that I was convinced also, and had to make a major shift when things finally heat up between them. I would have done better with a bit more emotion or self-awareness from her leading into the new dimension of their relationship. They have such a deep connection otherwise, the chemistry that rises to the surface is just the icing on the cake. Britt and Zander each are developing their faith as well and I appreciated the insights and inspiration there. I love this series focused on a trio of sisters!
(I received a complimentary copy of the book; all opinions expressed in this review are my own)
Huge sigh. I loved this book so much.
I was already a fan of Zander from the previous books, but I really fell for him in this one. He is just such a good guy and so devoted it is hard not to love him.
I don’t connect as well with Britt, but Wade is such a fantastic author that I still loved Britt even with little in common with her. But there was a scene toward the end that changed all that. And I connected with Britt on a whole new level.
This book was so much more than I expected. Wade could enter the romantic suspense genre if she wanted to! This book had a great balance of romance and also some mystery and suspense! I also loved all the fun tidbits of texts, notes, and letters in between the chapters.
It is probably good that there is no chocolate in my house right now or I’d eat all of it.
I don’t want to spoil the book for anyone so I can’t share my favorite part, but I’ll say this… the part I loved the most was so well written and just proves why Wade is among my absolute favorite authors!
I received an advanced copy of this book through NetGalley. This is my honest opinion
Sweet on You by Becky Wade.
Falling in love with your best friend is out of the question, especially since you have known him for most of your life. If things didn’t work out, it could ruin your friendship, but what if things did work out?
Sweet on You by Becky Wade continues the story of the Bradford sisters. We are now on Britt’s story. Britt is the youngest sister in the Bradford family, and I have been eagerly waiting for her book. I absolutely adored Britt’s book! It was so good, but I especially loved Zander. He was the perfect match for Britt and he absolutely stole my heart from the first time I saw him in Nora’s book.
Zander has just returned from his grand tour of the world because of some bad news from home. Zander’s uncle, the man who raised Zander, suddenly dies. Zander doesn’t know where he would be if it wasn’t for his uncle and so he rushes home. As Zander comes home, he sees that some things never change. For one, is his love for Britt. He hoped that while away he might have come up with a way to deal with his love for Britt, but instead of his love going away, he finds that he loves Britt even more than ever.
Unfortunately, Zander has more important things to deal with, his first draft of his next book and the truth behind his uncle’s death. Zander comes home to suspicions about how his uncle dies and he aims to find out not only because of his aunt but because he wants to know the truth behind the man who raised him.
Britt enlisted her own help in order to find out what happened to Zander’s uncle and along the way, she finds herself falling for Zander. But Britt fights herself because she knows that boyfriends and girlfriends break up all the time, but friendship can last forever. What will happen when Britt finally opens her heart to Zander? Will their relationship grow or will it all fall apart?
On my goodness, I adored this book. It really hit close to home, as I am the kind of person who clings to being in control with a tight grip. I am really like Britt, when my hold on my life starts to slip, I do everything I can to put things back in the order I want.
As I read about Britt having to trust God, I was reminded how I myself need to trust God even in the little things. Becky Wade reminded me of how short life is and how important it is to trust God.
This was such a good book and I would definitely recommend it. It was a sweet clean Christian romance book, with a hidden message. I will absolutely be reading more of Becky Wade’s books.
Sigh. While I know that all good things must come to an end, it’s hard to say goodbye to a series you love so much! I have become close to the Bradford sisters, and kind of consider them my book friends. I’ve been able to connect with each sister in a different way, and was so excited to learn more about Britt.
I think what I was most looking forward to in this book was finally reading about Britt and Zander. I am a sucker for friendships that grow into romance, but this was so much more. Britt and Zander had such a close relationship as friends. And yes, I realize this is really the premise for their fabulous love story, but I have to admit something. I kind of, almost agree with Britt even though I didn’t want to. Perhaps them going into uncharted territory would ruin their friendship. Being that close and having a romance that crashes and burns does not lead to a great relationship afterwards. How could it? So the whole time I’m reading, I’m wondering how Wade is going to change my mind. How is she going to change their minds?
In true Becky Wade fashion, it all came together beautifully, and better then I had hoped for. I think she changed me right along with the characters, and that is no easy feat! The first kiss? I was thinking about that long afterwards, and what’s funny is it wasn’t the type of kiss I was expecting. And maybe that’s why I enjoyed it so much. Thank you Becky Wade for being a masterful writer!!!
Romance aside, Wade brings in this mysterious storyline that I found myself totally immersed in. I was not expecting this either, I just thought it was going to be the Britt and Zander romance and nothing more. This added depth to the story as well as the characters. In Zander’s search for answers you see his character in a whole new light. If I didn’t already like him (which I did), the swoon notch went up about five clicks! And my favorite quote of his in the entire book – “If Britt married anyone other than him he’d have to move to Iceland and live in a hut without Wi-Fi.” That’s not a man in love or anything
Wade also brings a beautiful faith element in her stories, reminding readers of their reliance on the One who gives us everything we need, in His timing. Zander said something early on in the story that really resonated with me. “When you prayed for something every day and heard nothing but silence for more than a decade, it ground down your hope like corn into cornmeal.” He was essentially questioning if God was even hearing his prayers and wondering why God wasn’t answering them. I have to admit that I’ve felt that very same way a time or two. But listen to what Zander says a few moments later. “God was still good. God was still dependable.” That is 100% correct. What a beautiful reminder that God gives us what is best for us, in His perfect timing. Even if it is ten years later!
This book is a must read for Christian Romance fans. But please, start at the beginning of the series if you haven’t read it. You’ll just get so much more out of it this way!! I received a complimentary copy of this book. I was not required to write a favorable review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Let me say right off the bat that I thought the cover for this eBook was gorgeous. In fact it was the first thing that really caught my eye. It made me slow down and take another look.
Zander and Britt were interesting and so were their individual quirks. So was the long history that they had between them.
There was really good world building with LOTS of details. For me, it felt over-detailed in certain areas. By 20% on my Kindle I was already tired of all the food details. I just felt like a certain amount was necessary (and even enjoyable) to the story but it also really slowed the story down too. So did all of the angst from Zander and the confusion that Britt began to have.
Britt had a really good group of family and friends and she hadn’t been shy about pulling Zander into that group years ago. There was a good feel to the community itself.
The mystery of Zander’s uncle’s past was a good one with a lot of twists and surprises.
I also enjoyed the influence of God that was weaved into the story as well.
Zander and Britt do get their H.E.A. which I was glad to see. Because wow…Zander really deserved it!! That’s not to say that I didn’t like Britt just that he had been so honorable and waited so long. That emotion really did come through. I just wish I had liked this book more. I gave it 3.5 STARS on Amazon.
“I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.”
Two words – Loved It.
The romance between Britt and Zander once Britt let him close was well worth the wait. I loved how Zander managed to balance his strong feelings for her with her fierce need for independence. It takes a strong and patient man to fully love someone that independent. Zander made me appreciate all the men in this world who are up to the challenge that comes from loving a strong willed woman. I really liked Britt’s sisters from the previous books but wasn’t sure I would like Britt. It did take some time for me to feel that way about her but eventually it happened.
I really enjoyed the mystery surrounding Zander’s uncle. It was a good way to get Britt and Zander to work close together.
One of my favorite things in this story was the snippets of conversations between Britt and her sisters. I particularly liked the conversation involving how much Nora loved calling John her husband.
Full review is at my website. I received this book complimentary as a participant of the Prism book tour. I was not required to give a positive review. All of the opinions I have expressed are my own.
Zander has loved Britt for years. Love was pulling him toward her however futility is pushing him away. He left and went abroad. He come back home due to mysterious death of his Uncle Frank. Britt has placed Zander in the friend zone. Britt is independent , smart and sassy. Zander has had a lot of hard knocks in his life. Britt always wanted Zander to find happiness. Since Zander came back home all he has been thinking about it Britt. Now Britt starts to have feelings for Zander. However Britt cherishes her freedom. She starts to have feelings for Zander. She is afraid to commit to relationship beacuse it will jeopardize their friendship. Finally Britt realizes she can trust Zander with her heart. And having Zander in her life makes her stronger. I love Becky’s words and this is wonderful sweet romance and with just the right amount of suspense. I would totally recommend this series to any romance lover.
What an incredible love story. Ms Wade is the way best at these!! I think it is probably one of the best I’ve ever read, and this book is definitely going to end up in my top ten reads of the year!
This book is my favorite to date by Becky Wade!
Best friends falling in love, what could make for a better story? Zander and Britt have been best friends for such a long time….the only problem is that he’s loved her for just as long…and she’s had no idea.
Now, however, things are about to change. Why does Britt feel like she’s starting to crush on Zander? And what is this going to do to their friendship?
I love seeing their relationship…how they work through their difficulties…how they grow…and how they both can finally admit to their real feelings for each other.
I also love, loved the suspense that is a part of this story! Completely unexpected, and such great twists and turns! I had no idea what was coming, or how it would all play out. I think Ms. Wade should seriously consider writing only romantic suspense in the future!!

I just had to finish the stories of the three Bradford sisters and I’m so glad I did. Each book can stand on its own but they were all so good! Britt was such fun to visit with. So independent but I felt somewhat vulnerable too. And Zander, he had loved Britt since they were fourteen, but she just thought of them as best friends. He hung in there until one boyfriend too many of hers drove him on a “world tour”after his widely successful novel was published. He returns to attend his uncle’s funeral to find her between boyfriends. He decides to hang around for a while when a mystery concerning his uncle surfaces.
This novel had a little of everything. Mystery, suspense, danger, major theft, family, friendship chocolate and of course sweet romance. I highly recommend this for anyone since it has it all and if you’ve never tried a book by Becky Wade, let this one be it!
I received a complimentary ebook copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley but was not required to write a review.
This author and this book series is one of my favorites. I have loved delving into the lives of these sisters and their unique family structure. Britt is the youngest and I was so excited to finally get to her story. Actually, it’s as much Zander’s story as it is Britt’s and it was Zander that my heart really followed.
Zander has loved Britt since he was fourteen. Unrequited love. It’s the worst kind of love. Zander’s love for Britt has tortured him his whole life. But Zander is the best of men and he demonstrates this to Britt in his every word and his every action. The best friend gig is a good one but not the one his heart wants the most. His struggle become my struggle and I was starting to feel both overwhelmed and indignant on his behalf because Britt was just not catching on or catching up fast enough. I’m so impatient!
There are a few things I love about this book. First, the characters from book one to book four are the same. They are always around and they feel like family. Second, there is more than just a love story swirling in these pages. There is a growing mystery to match the growing intensity of the relationship. Lastly, as a reader I’m always looking for emotional involvement. I want to feel something and be connected to the characters. This book delivered that. Lastly, chocolate. CHOCOLATE! I wish I could sit in Britt’s shop. I wish I could eat her creations. I want to eat chocolate! Is there anything better than chocolate and romance?
Content: peril, mild violence, kissing

Oh my stars! What a phenomenal, unputdownable conclusion to the Bradford Sisters Romance series! I have loved all of Becky’s books to date and have been anxiously anticipating Britt and Zander’s story since book one! I am thrilled to say that Sweet on You was everything I had hoped for and more! I already knew I loved Zander and Britt and I was so excited to get inside their heads. Britt made a fabulous heroine, I found myself relating to her in several ways and it was a delight to watch her faith journey! And, Zander, oh my word! SWOON! His kindness and all the things he did and sacrificed for Britt were incredible, and never failed to make me melt! He is definitely one of my favorite heroes of 2019 so far!
Like always with Becky’s books the humorous banter in Sweet on You was fabulous! I can’t begin to count the number of times I laughed out loud while reading this book!
This book contains a few very suspenseful chapters, which is something that I wasn’t expecting, but was super excited to find, and it was so well written that at any time Becky could easily crossover into writing romantic suspense with no problem at all!
Overall, I adored everything about this book, and loved every second of it with all my heart! I’ve loved the entire series and even though it’s next to impossible to choose favorites, I think Sweet on You just may be my very favorite! This series is everything you could ever want in a Christian contemporary romance, if you haven’t started them yet then what in the world are you waiting for?! I most highly recommend Sweet on You, I would rate it higher than five stars if I could! It has a permanent spot on my keeper shelf and is one of my favorite books of 2019 so far!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher. Which did not influence my review in any way, all thoughts and opinions are one hundred percent my own.
Mystery, suspense, romance, chocolate… whats not to love about this story??! I loved reading about the friendship (and more) of Britt and Zander through out. The story had lots of laughs and mystery as they both work together to figure out what happened to his Uncle and what he may have been involved in. This story is book 3 of the “Bradford Sisters Romance” series but they can be read as stand alone novels. Loved it! Sweet, clean romance I guarantee you will enjoy and not want to stop reading!
I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.
I have absolutely loved this series and have loved each sister’s story. I’ve been (im)patiently waiting for Britt’s true love, because she’s flirty and flighty, as the baby, but her best friend of over a decade is so perfect for her–and she doesn’t seem to see it! She also harbors a bit of guilt and I desperately wanted her to find her happily ever after. But…I wasn’t expecting the added bonus that I got.
Not only does this story deliver a sweet, budding, new romance, but the reader is treated to a real live mystery! This element weaves so well into the story, adding a dimension of suspense and drama that really flavors the chemistry wafting off the pages, and forms a truly delicious tale. I couldn’t get enough!
I’m a huge fan of the friends-to-lover angle and this one is very well done. I loved how compatible these two friends are and their voices and interactions are charming, engaging, and swoony. This story was definitely worth the wait!
Content: mild romance; mild violence/moments of peril; mild+ religion elements.

What a beautifully romantic conclusion to one of my very favorite series! During books one and two of this series, True to You and Falling for You, Zander and Britt showed up at various times. What was clear in those novels was that Zander loved Britt, his best friend, and she did not realize how he felt.
So, readers like me have anxiously anticipated Britt and Zander’s story. These two were clearly meant to be much more than best friends.
The author did a beautiful job of slowly awakening Britt to this reality. And, wow, when she did…well, no spoilers here, so I will just say that it was powerful!
These characters felt so real to me. Actually, this entire series had characters that felt like real people, making these novels ones that I love to re-read. I highly recommend all of the books in the Bradford Sisters Romance series.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
Being best friends for thirteen years, Britt & Zander are perfect for each other. Everyone knows it. Everyone except, that is, Britt.
This 3rd and final book in the Bradford Sisters series is as emotionally charged as the others. My heart ached for loyal and trusting Zander. We finally get a deeper look into the past of the man who has hovered on the fringes since Nora’s story (book 1). He has cut his Grand Tour short to return for the funeral of a beloved Uncle, who has acted more like a father to him than his own. Now with questions being asked around the circumstances of his death – Zander’s stay back in town is necessary. However, his relationship with Britt is closely surpassing the point in which he can no longer tolerate the friend zone she has so firmly placed him in.
While I felt the beginning began a little slow, at times there was very little zing between Britt & Zander, and perhaps allows for the ‘distance’ that comes from being apart from someone for a significant amount of time. Gradually as the seriousness of the case surrounding Uncle Frank heats up, so does the chemistry & the tension. I was glad that Britt came to her realizations gradually and not one of those sudden ‘epiphany’ moments some characters have. The additional plot is clever, and a great embellishment to the story as a whole. The delicious descriptions of Britt’s chocolate creations inside Sweet Art will have you salivating!
I received a eARC from Netgalley. This is my honest review.
Sweet on You boasts wonderfully complex characters, an exciting plot, and an endearing friends-to-romance thread that rivals the sweetness of our heroine’s chocolate shop.
As far as I’m concerned, Britt and Zander are irresistibly lovable. Britt is a fiercely independent and adventurous young woman and a chocolatier savant! Zander is loyal and compassionate and uber talented in his own right!
Books, chocolate, and friends-to-romance threads aside, Sweet on You strikes just the right balance between main character focus and secondary character spotlighting. I highly recommend this series and look forward to reading future stories from Becky Wade.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and was under no obligation to post a review. The opinions expressed are my own.
“Loving her was his greatest blessing. But it was also his greatest curse…”
-thoughts from Zander Ford
Two of the three Bradford sisters are now married and residing close to home. This third book centers on Britt, the youngest of the three sisters. Her life revolves around her chocolate shop, Sweet Art and Britt is all about chocolate. Up until a year and half ago, Zander Ford had been her most reliable and best friend in the world. However, becoming a bestselling author changed Zander’s life and he departed to broaden his horizon and give himself some space.
When an unexpected death in the family brings Zander home early, he finds that he cannot go back to his old way of life with Britt. As the two struggle with their own personal concerns, can they find their way back to what they had or move forward to a different life? As they explore their options, Britt and Zander work to solve a unexpected mystery that comes to light while balancing family and relationship issues.
I enjoyed the characters very much because they are all so familiar from the previous novels in the series. A very good contemporary read filled with drama, romance, mystery and faith!
This copy was received from Bethany House Publishers and Netgalley. The above thoughts and opinions are wholly my own.
