I absolutely adore this author. This is the perfect town for her type of story and yes it’s a sweet novella. The thing about her novella’s is although they are short and clean they by no means lack depth and drama. I love her characters, they always are working through something and the emotions and feels are there and yeah it’s a great read. Oh and about that booth, in the corner, yeah you know what I’m talking about. Better watch out for the booth of the little coffee shop that sits in Love and has a way with love. Its reputation is growing and so’s it’s success rate.
I’m a sucker for second chances, new beginnings, and story sprinkled with sweet magic fairy dust! You get that all and more with Christina Butrum’s contribution to the Lover’s Landing series. Logan and Sadie are sweet, honest, and perfect together, but past hurts, loss, and betrayals leave them both leery of relationships and true intimacy. Will magic coffee and wonderful friends help these two realize their HEA before it’s too late?
I read an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I’ve read a few stories in this collaboration. Great job Christina Butrum on this heartwarming story. Told the mystery of finding love at Lover’s Landing Coffee shop in Love, Georgia. Logan comes back to his home town & falls in love with the best baker around who is in a bad place in her life. True love prevails and her love of baking returns. Their love keeps the tradition going. Definitely deserves more than 5 stars!
This is a sweet book. Sadie has had a rough year. She lost a lot and really has very few she can turn to for help. The town is small and everyone wants to help her but trusting is a hard thing for her. Till she meets Logan and he moved back to town after finishing vet school. Logan was best friends with Sadie’s brother Trent. They haven’t seen each other in so many years and Logan has a finance who didn’t want to move to Love. So, Logan did and wanted to start a new life. He meet Sadie at the coffee shop and they just click. They start to show about each other but when the past comes for Logan, he has to chose what he will do even tho he wants a future with love and easiness to life.
If you are looking for a short and sweet story, this one is for you. It’s clean, features a rescued dog, and a coffee shop rumored to help people fall in love…in Love, Georgia. It could be slightly too sweet (pun somewhat intended), but it was refreshing reading about a nice guy with a crush on a nice girl. It’s definitely Hallmark-like.
This is just the story I have come to expect from Christina Butrum! It’s sweet and romantic and it’s full of coffee! I love the premise of this entire series and how everything is intertwined. I haven’t read the other books but I am pretty sure I’d love them all since they’re all centered on this town and the people in it. I really enjoyed to Sadie and Logan. Sadie’s life is in complete upheaval and Logan lends some helping hands. Things kick right off and sparks fly!
The writing is smooth and easy. The people in this story are adorable and completely relatable! It feels like a good small town romance wrapped up in all the residents. I loved the low angst and general sweetness of the story. It defiantly has a full spectrum of feelings and emotions. Defiantly worth the read!
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
This was such a cute story! After what Sadie had gone through, it was so great to see her thrive!
I adored Sadie and Logan’s story. It’s a very sweet and heartwarming small town story. I loved all the characters and how close the whole town of Love, Georgia is. It’s wonderful how they come together to support Sadie in her time of need.
I can’t wait to read more of the books from the Lover’s Landing series.
A really sweet read. I loved how involved Logan got involved with baking with Sadie. It was ironic that they were watching the hallmark channel because that moment was a complete hallmark moment.
Can true love pull Sadie out of her grief? After losing her mother, her dreams are no longer the same. Can she overcome this? Maybe with the help of Lover’s Landing coffee? Who is to say what will happen. I enjoyed this book! I would love to visit Love, GA.
A really sweet romantic story, Sadie and Logan had me feelings all the feels. I was saddened by the loss of her mom and her ensuing heartache and the difficulties she had with her baking. Logan himself, has some hardships and things from his past he is trying to overcome. They have a super cute budding romance that gets jump started with the help of a furry friend. Unfortunately, a surprise visit from his past threatens their newfound love. Can they stick together and get the happily ever after they deserve? This is my second read in this new world of Lover’s Landing and I’m looking forward to reading the other author’s collective stories.
Sweet on Love is the story of Sadie and Logan. Sadie is the owner of Sadie’s Sweets the sole bakery in Love, Georgia which she opened with her mother. The past ten months have been hard on Sadie. She lost her mom in a terrible car accident and with that loss went her love and desire to bake. With the help of a new employee, Sadie was been able to keep the bakery open but still can’t bring herself to bake. The passion is gone. While making a delivery to Lover’s Landing, Sadie ran into Logan or I should say Logan ran into Sadie. Logan was best friends with Sadie’s brother Trent until his family moved away but Logan has moved back and opened a veterinary practice. Is Logan’s simple request of asking Sadie to bake for his spay and neuter fundraiser enough to spark Sadie’s passion…both in and out of the kitchen? Is the attraction and chemistry between Logan and Sadie enough to sweep away Logan’s bitterness toward relationships? Can Logan convince Sadie that she can do (bake, cope, love) anything that she thinks she can’t and he will be right there to support her? Christina has written a very sweet story that could have easily been titled “How Sadie Got her Groove Back.” I give Sweet On Love by Christina Butrum 4.5 out of 5 propellers.
This was a sweet, clean romance that will warm your heart. This series of novellas that are linked together by town and characters will be a treat from beginning to end. The small town series is unique in that all of the couples fall in love over coffee in a local place owned an older couple that has no qualms about match making.
Sweet on Love pairs Sadie and Logan. Sadie runs the bakery but has had trouble baking since losing her partner/mother. Logan is an old friend of Sadie’s brother and has returned minus a troublesome ex-fiance to be the town’s scorching hot veterinarian. The two come together over coffee and things start to perk! Problems start to bubble up, but will Harold and Betty’s magic coffee be sweet enough to bring these two a HEA?
I don’t think it’s a spoiler if I say that I love Ms. Butrum’s happily ever afters! They are the best!
Such a sweet, clean romance! I really enjoyed it!
Sadie and her mother owned and worked together in the bakery in her home town. Following her mother’s death in a car accident, she is struggling to keep the bakery open. She just can’t find the joy in baking that she once knew.
Logan is the new veterinarian in town. He is also her brother’s best friend. When he and Sadie meet again, there is definitely a mutual attraction.
Christina Butrum never disappoints. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who enjoys a sweet romance.
I received an ARC of this book. I totally loved this story. Sadie and Logan’s story from the beginning to the end in this book was exceptional. Sadie who lost her mom and lost her love for baking at the same time never expected that her life would change to the better just by coming in contact with her brother’s best friend Logan years down the road. Them both coming in contact again at the Lover’s Landing coffee shop where Betty and Harold have put so many couples together. Will Sadie fall in love and start to bake again when Logan asks her to bake for a fundraiser. Does Sadie have it within herself after losing her best freind/mom to a tragic accident. I loved this page turner and I loved the ending. What a phenomenal ending. Thank you Christina. 5 Stars hands down.
Sweet on Love by Christina Butrum was a short read, it is part of a novella series called Lover’s Landing. All the books are written by different authors. Great way to meet new authors!! This was my first read by Christina Brutus I enjoyed it, I was able to connect with this book and the main character and I enjoyed that.
Sadie runs the one and only bakery in Love Georgia with her mom. When Sadie’s mom passes away unexpectedly, Sadie has a very hard time to cope and to be able to run her business and to even bake. Sadie then meets Mae, she hires her as an assistant. Best decision she made. Mae becomes Sadie’s best friend and helps Sadie keep the business afloat by doing all the baking. One morning Sadie takes an wagon full of sweets to Lover’s Landing coffee shop and she bumps into her brothers childhood friend Logan.
Logan moved back to Love, Georgia so he can open a Veterinary office, when he bumps into a beautiful woman it takes him a few moments to recognize this woman as being the little girl who would always follow his buddy around when they were kids. When he realizes she runs the bakery he takes that opportunity to ass her out to dinner. He has a proposition for her and he does not see why she would say no. What happens during dinner between Logan and Sadie? You will have to read the book to find out.
Sadie was dealt an awful hand. She and her mother went into business together two years ago. Opening a bakery a dream she and her mom always talked about since she was young. She was always baking at her mom and grandma’s knee and learned a craft .
Then ten months ago Sadie’s world does a three sixty and she needs to survive but really she can’t breathe. How does she explain that to a town of people who has held her together like glue as well as supported her during her time of need? So, until she can figure it out it is one foot in front of the other. Mae is an answer to a prayer.
Until, the morning she almost gets run down going out a door by the new gorgeous guy in town. Him not accepting a mutual ‘I’m sorry!’ He insists on buying her coffee at Lover’s Landing. As he’s ordering she has the feeling she knows him and their banter is showing their interest in one another without being anxious.
As it hits her she is tickled but leaves him asking the last questions to figure it out. She figures out that he is Logan her big brother, Trent’s, best friend when he was fifteen and she was ten. Now he’s moved back to town and is a Veterinarian.
Read this sweet, funny, tear-jerking romance that just about the whole town helps them become forever. See two people meant to be together and not alone. A book received during July-Aug. giveaway.
This is my fourth book in this series so far and my first book by this author. This is Sadie and Logan’s story.
