From USA Today bestselling author Stacey Kennedy comes the next riveting and sexy addition to the Kinky Spurs series, Sweet-Loving Cowboy. Harper McKinney finished culinary school with big dreams. Right now, she’s a bartender at Kinky Spurs. While she’s content with her life, her brother is determined that she make a name for herself, because he wants her far away from what he deems a trashy bar. … her far away from what he deems a trashy bar. But Harper refuses to go anywhere. She’s in love with her brother’s best friend, Chase Blackshaw, and that love is keeping her in River Rock.
After the death of Chase’s father, he’s the one responsible for running the construction of the Blackshaw Cattle Company’s guest ranch. Back in the day, he had dreams of opening a construction company, but lack of finances kept him working for the family’s cattle ranch. Now with the responsibility of his family’s guest ranch on his shoulders those dreams seem far away. Though he has bigger problems. His build is failing the inspections.
Now Chase has more trouble on his hands. Harper, the woman he’s forbidden to ever touch has decided to move to Las Vegas. She isn’t so little anymore, and Chase is finding her all too tempting. She’s also not shy about what she wants. Him. Naked. And giving her some sweet lovin’ in all the kinky ways he craves. But neither Chase nor Harper can anticipate the fate that awaits them if they dare give in to their desires, as Chase soon learns there is something far worse than not being able to live out his dreams. It’s being given the chance to live out his dreams but having to watch Harper lose hers.

Stacey Kennedy really knows how to capture a reader’s attention. From the moment I started Sweet Loving Cowboy, I was entranced! I finished the book in two hours because it was so good!!
Chase and Harper have beat around the bush, so to speak, for months now. Chase is someone that is off limits to Harper because he is best friends with her brother, Brody. When Chase discovers Harper is moving he decides to let his attraction be known.
With only one week together, no strings, how will they both avoid heartbreak?
I loved the dynamic between all the characters, especially Chase and Harper. Their chemistry is present right from the start and you wonder when those two will hit the sheets. I also loved the bond Harper shares with her brother, Brody. Brody is very protective of Harper and wants all of her dreams to come true.
Sweet Love Cowboy, is really a sweet read. I loved the friends to lovers aspect of the book. There was just the right amount of sex, sass, drama, and laughter. Stacey has really outdone herself with this book and I am looking forward to reading the next installment to the series.
Sweet Loving Cowboy can be read as a standalone! The characters are present in all the books of the series but each book is about a different couple.
I absolutely loved this second book in the Kinky Spurs series by Ms Kennedy. Chase and Harper are two people who are very much attracted to one another. The two have been trying not to act on their attraction. Mostly because of Brody who is Harper’s brother and Chase’s best friend. Harper does not want to come between them and Chase has been warned by Brody to stay away from Harper. The two however can not do hat and soon find themselves spending a week together before Harper moves away. A lot happens in a week and soon the two can not seem to say goodbye. Harper has always wanted to go to Las Vegas and make a name for herself as a chef. Chase has a new business he is trying to establish as well as help his brothers and mother reinvent the Blackshaw Ranch name to become a place people want to come to. This book will keep you at the edge of your seat wanting to know what will happen next. We get to see what has been going on with Shep and Emma from book one and we also get a sneak peek into the love hate relationship of Nash and Megan who book three is about. I loved this book and the HEA was great!
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
This was so incredibly sweet and sexy. I had a lot of fun reading it and thought it was really entertaining. The Blackshaw brothers totally do it for me!
I really enjoyed this book. It was a little slow to get going but after about a quarter of the way through I was absorbed in the book and really did not want to put it down. Chase and Harper both have their dreams and also things in their way. They both want each other and have for awhile, but they stayed away. Now with only a week until Harper leaves for Vegas they think they can have a friends with benefits relationship and then let go when the time comes. YEAH right! We all know that is kind of a disaster waiting to happen. They are explosive together and there is no way this will end the way they expect. Throw in a cute labrador pup they rescue and … awwww… they find their family. There is an HEA, but the journey there and them discovering what they really want and overcoming crap in their way make for an awesome read.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
Sweet-Loving Cowboy is book two in the Kinky Spurs series by Stacey Kennedy. I loved the first book in this series so much and have been waiting not so patiently for this book. I knew I was going to love Chase and it turns out I was oh so right!
Chase, Nash and Shep Blackshaw recently lost their father who ran their ranch and Blackshaw Cattle. Only, unbeknownst to them, he left the company in debt when he died. So it was left up to the three of them to save the ranch so their mother wouldn’t lose her home. They decided to make the ranch a guest ranch where visitors can come to live like an authentic cowboy. Chase, the middle child of the three boys, had been saving for years to start his own construction company, only things got put on hold while he helped on the ranch. Building the new guest cabins will be his first official job as Blackshaw Construction. If he can do a good job, it could be the launch his company needs.
Chase has never felt a connection strong enough to get serious with any woman. Nine months ago, his best friend, Brody McKinney’s little sister came home from culinary school. Chase always thought of her as Brody’s little annoying sister. But she wasn’t so little anymore. She was twenty-seven years old and he was instantly attracted to her. He didn’t do anything about it but it was an attraction that steadily grew. She was working at the local bar, Kinky Spurs, and for the last three months, Chase would go in every evening after work and she would cook dinner for him. All this time, Chase never made any move but it was evident that she felt the chemistry between them just as strongly as he did.
Harper McKinney had always wanted to be a chef. But when she was younger, her dreams were stolen from her when her parents died tragically. Her brother Brody raised her. Now, after culinary school, her dreams are again within her grasp. She has an offer to go to Las Vegas to work under a dream mentor. Then she wants to open her own restaurant. As soon as she came home to River Rock, and saw Chase Blackshaw again, though, she knew there was something there. So, she put everything on hold to see if it led anywhere. But he never made a move. She knew he wanted her. But she was afraid she would always be Brody’s little sister to him which was out of bounds. Was she wasting her time waiting? Should she just go to Las Vegas and pursue her dream there?
“He craved her, as much as she did him. Sadly, she knew Chase was a dream she had to stop pursuing.”
Chase was raised to always be honorable, to put others first. He knows that Harper has a dream of going to Vegas. He doesn’t want her to have to choose between him and her dreams. But when he realizes that she has already bought her plane ticket and is leaving in eight days, he decides he can’t let her go without at least giving them the chance to experience each other during these last eight days. Then he will let her go.
“How are you so strong and yet so full of heart? I’ve never met anyone like you.”
These eight days were supposed to be all about Harper. But everything all but imploded during that time. First, Harper finds a puppy that has been abandoned and Chase finds himself taking care of a special needs lab puppy. He failed the inspection on the guest cabins. This is supposed to be his ticket to get his business off the ground. What will happen when word gets out that he failed the inspection? His feelings for Harper are growing every day. He knows he has to let her go when their time is up but he’s finding it harder and harder to imagine his life without her in it.
“Chase’s honesty was love. His respect for her was love. His wanting her to be happy was love. His heated touch was love.”
I loved this book. Chase and Harper’s chemistry was off the charts. Chase liked a bit of kinky play and Harper was all for it. But as I said before, Chase is also an honest and honorable man. There’s no way I couldn’t fall in love with him. Especially the way he cared for the little puppy. This is such a fantastic series and I can’t wait for the next book which will be Nash and Megan’s story in Hard-Riding Cowboy.
“Happiness isn’t what you do, it’s who you’re with when you do it.”
I’ve got to say with every book I read by Stacey Kennedy . I’m turning into a bigger fan of hers.
This story has everything one wants in a book; a strong and hot cowboy who only wants to make his woman happy and not stand in the way of her dreams. On the other side there is a woman who just wants the love of a very special cowboy. I loved how they tackled their relationship and all the obstacles that were in their way. My good how much I loved Chase. That man is everything and then some.
“Chase’s honesty was love. His respect for her was love. His wanting her to be happy was love. His heated touch was love.” Que the swoon 🙂
This story was fun, sweet and sexy as hell. After finishing this book and reading what comes next I’m more than ready for the next Blackshaw brother.

Smoking hot cowboys. Sinfully sexy young ladies. An adorable puppy and one who needs to be sent to obedience school. The writer explores all the relationship complexities that occur between families, friends and lovers. Chase and Harper try to fight that magnetic sexual attraction between them until they are no longer able to. Once they own it it explodes like wildfire. You will always want to turn the next page to see what position they are going to be in next time.
Oh my goodness! This is one sweet, hot, dirty-talking, alpha, kinky when he wants to be, and all around too good to be true (and for his own sake) cowboy who has finally stopped waiting for what (or should I say who) he wants. Did he really think only a week would ever be enough and he would be able to let her go? Harper has waited for 9 months for Chase to make his move since she came back to town and now she has a week left before she is moving to Vegas and all bets are off. Even her brother cannot keep them apart. Add in an abandoned puppy and watch everything twist and turn. This was one wild ride watching them come to grips but was so much fun. When these cowboys fall, they fall hard! I cannot wait to see Nash get his come to Jesus moment in the next installment! Definitely a recommendation from me!
Harper is about to leave for Vegas to start working under a famous chef. After her parents were killed, her brother raised her and her dream has been to open a restaurant in Vegas. Chase has just started a construction company and his first job was to build cabins on their farm to make it a working ranch. He and Harper’s brother have been best friends, when he realizes she’s leaving in eight days he decides to spend as much time with Harper before she leaves. But are the dreams she have are hers or her late mother’s?
Chase is really a sweet, loving cowboy. Harper is a great chef and warm woman. Funny, sexy, and a cute puppy.
* Voluntarily read and reviewed this for Netgalley *
Before you can follow your dreams, you have to figure out what they really are.
Harper is at a crossroads. She’s back in town and getting ready for the next big step in her career. The plan is to go to Vegas in a week for a coveted mentorship that will lead to her owning her own restaurant. The wrench in the plan is one sexy cowboy who is finally seeing her the way she’s always seen him.
Chase made a promise to his best friend (and Harper’s brother), Brody, not to interfere in any way with Harper’s Vegas plans. But Chase just can’t let his one chance with her go by, so he offers Harper a one-week fling, after which they’ll part friends and she’ll head off to Vegas. Neither of them was prepared for what the coming week would bring.
This was a beautifully written romance, full of heart, humor, and hot sexy times. There’s a bit of drama at every turn, encompassing every facet of both Chase’s and Harper’s lives. It’s a truly transformative journey for both of them.
The thing that causes Harper to rethink her plans isn’t what everyone thought it would be, and the solution lights up a whole new path for her. I was completely captivated by this story right from the start, and couldn’t put it down until I got to the beautiful HEA. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Sigh, the Blackshaw brothers are that perfect blend of cocky Alpha male and cowboy. Chase is working hard to build the guest ranch to save the family ranch and trying not to pursue Harper, his best friend’s sister. When Harper decides she is moving on to Vegas to pursue her career as a chef, he finally gives in and decides to take the few days they have left. Harper had an immediate connection to Chase when she returned home from school but she could tell Chase was fighting it. When one night a whimper from the dumpster brings the two together, all bets are off. Now, can Harper really walk away from River Rock. Or has she finally found what has been missing in her life? Love Brody being the protective older brother. I also love the bond between all 3 Blackshaw brother’s and the group of friends they have built. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
Harper McKinney finished culinary school with big dreams. Right now, she’s a bartender at Kinky Spurs. While she’s content with her life, her brother Brody is determined that she make a name for herself with her culinary skills. After the death of Chase’s father, he’s the one responsible for running the construction of the Blackshaw Cattle Company’s guest ranch. He hopes the construction will lead to his newly fledged company expanding but for some reason his build is failing the inspections.

This is the second book in the series & whilst it could be read on its own the Blackshaw boys are toe curlingly gorgeous that I’d recommend reading the series from the start. Cowboy books aren’t my favourite genre in fact I usually avoid them but I read the first in the series & was totally & utterly hooked, it seems like an awful long wait for this book. Chase & Harper have known each other forever, in fact her brother Brody & Chase are best friends but that friendship has turned into something deeper but they’ve both promised Brody to keep away from each other. That is until Harper is due to leave in 8 days time for Las Vegas & the pair decide to be together for those 8 days with no strings attached. What a week they have! there’s a wedding, work to be redone on the construction & a Labrador pup called Houdini who steals the books. I was riveted from the start & read the book in 2 sittings, the story flowed really well, there was humour, heart wrenching moments, a bit of intrigue & lots of romance. I can’t wait for Nash’s story
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
Great second book in the Kinky Spurs series. Brothers best friend are some of my favorite reads and this one didn’t disappoint. Chase and Harper are explosive together. Houdini was the cutest addition to the story. The epilogue brought a smile to my face. Can’t wait for Nash and Megan’s story.

Another fantastic addition to this Bradshaw brothers series! Looking for a hot, sexy, dominant yet sweet talking cowboy? Then you definitely need to meet Chase. The chemistry between Chase and Harper is so strong in this forbidden romance. I absolutely devoured this read and CAN NOT WAIT for Nash’s book.
This is a good one. I’m really liking these Blackshaw brothers. Chase is all construction cowboy on the streets and a little kinky between the sheets. Whew these two are smoking hot together. Harper is one lucky girl. I liked the storyline line a lot and I’m really enjoying all the characters. Nash’s book is next. I can’t wait to read that one. He seems like a whole lotta fun.
Complete swoon! This guy is just so yummy! Chase is so caring and genuine. He also is a man sure of himself and what he wants so needless to say he does not play games. When he is faced with the reality that Harper is about to start a life away from him he is jolted into action and finally decides to put himself and his needs first. Harper and Chase have had an attraction brewing for months that has grown stronger with friendship. And let me tell you, when they finally give in, it is HOT! But this story has more to it because besides having a delicious man that knows how to bind a woman, he also knows how to treat her right. Reading them together is sweeter than eating all day at a candy store. Best part is that with his understanding and support, Harper finds all the answers of what she really needs and what makes her happy. And with her help he learns to just live and enjoy the moment. That he doesn’t have to be the problem solver all the time. But what this book shows you more than anything is that family is what matters most. And the story of how they get there besides being beautiful, makes you respect these characters more and more because of the decisions they make.
The story was greatly written, the plot was an amazing mix between sweet love and steaming hot scenes.
Have you ever loved someone so much, that you would sacrifice your love for the other to let him/her chase their own dreams?
But sometimes dreams, perspectives and feelings change. Sometimes you will find that the path you´ve always followed wasn´t your own.
Just something to give you feeling to be closer to someone you´ve loved, you felt like you´re home.
Sometimes the feeling to find your home changes, person´s view revise. Just like Harper and Chase´s.
Following their own dreams but sacrifice their love for one another. What they´ve got are 8 days. 8 days full of emotions, full of passion.
Although I loved both characters the one that charmed my heart was the puppy Houdini…true magician, who could bring your heart to beat just little faster …
4 1/2 sexy stars! I am just loving this series so far! Chase is so darn sweet and sexy and hard working to boot! I love this story line and how everything flows so nicely and of course how things all work out for Chase and Harper’s HEA. (and Houdini too of course). There are some seriously smoldering hot and steamy scenes between Chase and Harper and you know from the moment they embark on what is supposed to be 8 days of bliss, that it would never be enough. Harper is supposed to be moving to Vegas to follow her lifelong dream, which is what makes Chase finally decide to take their friendship over the line. But is Vegas really her dream? Or are her and Chase and Houdini meant to be a family and follow slightly different dreams together? This one will leave you with a full heart and a smile.
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this ARC.
Such a Sweet-Loving, Hot Cowboy.
I just love all of the Blackshaw men and how their women always bring them to their knees. Chase was no exception.
Harper has been waiting for him to make his move since she returned home from Denver, but she is tired of waiting and is going to take matters into her own hands. All it takes is a sick dog to show Chase just what’s the most important thing in his life.
I can’t wait for the next book, which belongs to Nash and Megan. I can’t wait to see Megan bring Nash to his knees.

Sweet loving indeed! Chase has to be the most noble of the 3 brothers who were taught right is right. Then comes Harper the one woman he shouldn’t want to test those limits. 8 days to make memories to hold on to and let her go… can they? Or will she make the decision to stay and be with the family she built. Chase has two choices at the end of the time, be the man he has always been or become the man they both need and finally take what he wants!
