“Sweet Liar captivated me from start to finish! Dylan Locke is a must have in your book boyfriend collection!” Jana Aston, NYT Bestselling AuthorBritish ad exec Dylan Locke isn’t looking for love. He isn’t looking for fate. He’s definitely not looking for Audrey Lind. She’s pretty, far too young, and overly romantic–in short, exhausting. But when the girl, young enough to be his daughter, … his daughter, literally lands in his lap and asks for his expertise, he’d be lying if he said he wasn’t interested. In her body, in her innocence, in her philosophy.
In the kind of kismet that starts with kisses.
But Audrey isn’t looking for love either–she’s looking for lessons, and she’s certain Dylan knows everything she needs to learn.
If he agrees to play the teacher can he keep his heart?
Of course he can.
Then again, he might be lying.

Another winner in the Dirty Universe!!! Sweet Liar, book one of the Sweet duet, is just so good!!! It has everything I have come to love in a Laurelin Paige book….hot, sexy alpha? Check. Strong, independent love interest? Check! Witty banter? Check! Hot and steamy sexy times? Check, check and check!!! Dylan Locke is one of the partners of Reach, Inc., in their London office. Yes, he’s British, so on top of being hot and sexy, he’s got that accent going for him. He’s 43 and 23 year old Audrey is attracted to him. I loved watching the way Audrey lured(see funny banter) him in. Oh these two are just perfect for each other. I just loved this book and can’t wait for the second book.
“Breathtaking. That was the word for her. She stole the air from my lungs. She smothered me with her beauty, with her bewitching character. She made me heady and delirious, and if this was what it felt like to die of suffocation, I’d gladly choose this method of death anyday. Every day.”
My favorite quote from this AMAZING book! I didn’t want to put it down for even a second.
Older guy meets younger girl… SCORE!
I loved reading the beginning of Dylan and Audrey’s journey. I absolutely can’t wait to see what the next installment has in store for them!
5 Breathtaking Stars!
Talk about kindle melting This one was the kind of chemistry that necessitates hubby or B.O.B. Dylan is that HOT!!
“Good girl for showing me where you need me.”
Loved the premise of this one. The sweet but just the right amount of dirty Audrey knows exactly what she wants & it’s Dylan. He’s going to teach her every trick he knows. As long as neither of them involve their hearts… Add in witty dialogue, a dash of feelings & you’ve got a perfect romance. Definitely recommend
Sexy, seductive and delicious story between an older British divorcee and American college coed. Add to the mix that our hero Dylan Lock is a business associate of none other than Donovan Kincaid and Weston King and our heroine is Sabrina Lind’s baby sister Audrey!
Oh yeah…
Laissez Le Bon Temps Rouler!
Let the Good Times Roll!
This decadent, lust at first sight read between an older guy and younger gal was totally unputdownable!
Excellent writing and well developed characters, this read flowed easily and flawlessly!
Behind the instant attraction there’s some angst as Dylan and Audrey do the sexy sometimes filthy dance that this author masterfully knows how to orchestrate!
Is it lust, or is it something else?
This is book one and after that ending, book 2 can’t come fast enough!
In addition, it may help reading Dirty Filthy Rich Men and Dirty Filthy Rich Love first to understand the interconnection of characters.
This book, as a part of the ‘Dirty’ world, has that sexiness about it. This book features Audrey (Sabrina’s (Dirty Filthy Rich Men) little sister) and Dylan (a business partner with the men from the other Dirty books.) This one is a bit taboo. He is almost 20 years older. She is the one doing the pursuing and seducing, while he’s fighting it. This doesn’t end in a cliffhanger per sa, but the story isn’t complete. You will need to read the second book of this duet for the whole story. It’s almost comical to see Dylan struggling with his feelings. His body reacts towards Audrey, but his conscious fights it tooth and nail. It’s actually rather sweet. And even though he isn’t trying, he’ll make you swoon a little. Audrey is a fun little sneaky thing. She’s upbeat and positive and is optimistic about pretty much all things, including her little game with Dylan. The other couples stories are heavier, but this one is a more light-hearted story. (At least this part, but I haven’t read book two yet.) It’s well written and is more of a novella and reads in a couple hours. There is some sexual content and suitable for mature readers.
*I received an ARC of this book.
A little cheat sheet in case you are unfamiliar with the ‘Dirty’ books….
*Dirty Duet includes: Dirty Filthy Rich Boys (Prologue,) Dirty Filthy Rich Men & Dirty Filthy Rich Love and features Sabrina & Donovan
*Dirty Games includes: Dirty Sexy Bastard (Prequel,) Dirty Sexy Player & Dirty Sexy Games and features Elizabeth & Weston
*A 1001 Dark Nights Book- Dirty Filthy Fix featuring Nate & Trish (This book is a crossover of sorts between Dirty and the Fixed universes. The latter is another series/trilogy by the same author.)
*Dirty Sweet includes: Sweet Liar & Sweet Fate and features Audrey & Dylan
~Donovan, Weston, Dylan and Nate are all business partners with a company they founded that is global. These books are their story to how they find their forever girls.
~Each duet can be read as stand alones, though you will need to read both books in the duet. Some of the timeline in the books overlap with the timelines of each of the other duets, so if you do read them all, you will see some of the same events (only from a different POV.) If you plan on reading them all, I would suggest reading in order (as I listed them above.) The characters all have roles in each duet (smaller roles obviously) but you get to see them, however briefly, in each book.
This novella about Dylan and Audrey is HOT! If you like age gap romances, this novella is for you. It has the perfect amount of angst. Even though the story is short it packs a punch.
What a daring adventurous romance!! My heart flipped flop with this sexy couple. I have a soft spot for age gap and boyyy Sweet Liar was hot and naughty. Dylan Locke was a sucessful man with many talent and deep British accent! Laurelin wrote the story with new spin for a daring female character.. Audrey, I applauded for your spirit! She is one brave young woman..
Sweet Liar was a daring book.. It will bring you to a different excitement.. Naughty… yesss I love the connection.. the teaser.. temptation! I had lost my word and barrier for this couple.. come on handsome 🙂
Dylan tries to act the gentleman he really does, “…he was deliberately trying not to look, but it seemed he couldn’t help himself. “What the bloody hell are you doing, girl?”He picked my dress up off the floor and brought it to me. “Put this on. Please. There aren’t curtains. The whole city can see you!” I sometimes wonder if Audrey just likes to see how close she can give her man a heart attack, “…so. Isn’t it kismet that I met you? An experienced man who is only interested in banging? Wouldn’t you like to bang me now? Show me how it’s done?” He inhaled sharply then clutched his chest with one hand, wiping at his forehead with the other as he fell back against the glass behind him.” I really loved this book, I loved Dylan and I loved how bold Audrey was
Laurelin Paige never fails me.
Sweet Liar brings the chemistry and the heat, along with a little forbidden. Dylan is Brittish (yes, please) and Audrey is ready to be schooled by this older and more experienced man.
Ms. Paige packs a lot of chemistry, a lot of tension, and a lot of sweet into part 1 of this two-part story. You’ll have a tough time putting it down, and will be ready for the second part.
Dylan and Audrey story is starting with a bang, I truly enjoy it, even though I never saw Audrey as the girl for Dylan I think it worked. I love all the Dirty Men in the series so I recommend reading it to get the insight for the rest as well. Can’t wait for the next one!
Dylan doesn’t fall in love, he doesn’t even believe in love. So when Audrey Lind challenges him to be her friend with benefits he thinks he’s got it made. They only have the holiday break to see each other anyways, so of course he couldn’t possibly fall in love. Audrey’s absurd idea of kismet is just insane. Isn’t it?
Wow! Did this story catch my attention. Sweet Liar is book 1 in the Dirty Sweet duet. It’s a quick, explosive start. The chemistry between Dylan Locke and Audrey Lind is off the charts.
It is impossible not to fall in love with the very proper, although cynical Dylan Locke. He may be broken but he still makes for an excellent professor in the bedroom.
Audrey Lind can’t help her attraction to Dylan Locke. The temptation is too great to resist. He has the experience that makes him the perfect naughty professor if only she can keep her heart out of the equation. Or it it kismet that has brought them together?
I need the next book right now! Although this story was short, it went straight for the heart. Loved it. 5 Stars
Dylan is partners with Donovan. When he sees Donavan’s girlfriend and her sister he is drawn to Audrey. He realizes Audrey is too young so tries to resist her. Audrey is tired of dating boys. She decides Dylan is the man for her.
Super sexy forbidden romance. This is not typical daddy kink. Audrey is young but an adult. She wants to be treated like an adult. Great first installment. Bits of angst keep things interesting. Can’t wait for round two!!
I like how it touches on the other characters lives. You do not have to read Donovan’s or Weston’s series to enjoy this series. I highly recommend you do as they are amazing!
Sweet Liar is book 1 in the Dirty Sweet Duet and you will be on the edge of your seat waiting for book 2, Sweet Fate.
Dylan Locke is a bitter man who swore off love and relationships after his divorce. Everything changes when he meets audrey Lind.
Sweet Liar is short but Amazing!
I absolutely loved this book. I did not want it to end at all.
Audrey is a spite fire, sassy woman. She comes to visit her sister over school break. They go out for dinner and that’s when she meets Dylan. She could not take her eyes off of him and just knew that she wanted him.
Dylan is a single father. He is definitely sexy. He is visiting his son while he is on school break. He does not know what to do when he meets Audrey. He is the type of guy to fall in love again. When Audrey asks for his help he is hesitant at first. The age difference gets the best of him.
These two are so good for one another. He can’t seem to get her out of his head. She can’t seem to help her self around him. I wanted more of them. I can’t wait for the next book. I need to know what happens. I want them to be together. I love Dylan. I highly recommend this book. This book had me laughing and smiling throughout the whole book.
Wow, Dylan – he is definitely so much more than what I thought and I loved getting to know him better in Sweet Liar. Throw in the sexy Audrey Lind and Sweet Liar is a fantastic first book in the Dirty Sweet duo.
Dylan Locke knows what he doesn’t want, something he has learned after a failed marriage. Life is not about love and happily ever after and romance is not in the cards at all. When he meets Audrey Lind he knows in his head that she is off limits being half his age but when Audrey asks for his help Dylan knows he can’t refuse her no matter how hard he tries. So one day is what they have before she goes back to school and him back to his home base in London, one dirty, unforgettable day.
Audrey Lind believes in romance, what she doesn’t have is a lot of experience in the bedroom and she figures that a more mature experience man will be able to help her find out what she likes and Dylan Locke fits the bill. Now if she can remember not to fall for him.
When we first met Dylan Locke I wasnt sure what to make of him, he didnt have the dark edge like Donavan or the humor of Nate. Then once I got going into the story it was refreshing to see that Dylan has a totally different edge and is really just trying to do the right thing for him, his son and eventually Audrey. Ms Paige does it again introducing her readers to another dynamic duo that are so much more then what I thought they were. Sweet Liar is a duet so there is a cliffhanger and I for one can not wait to see what happens next.

Attraction is a funny thing. Writing attraction is a sticky, difficult thing and it is done very well in this title. (Originally published as a serial in Laurelin Paige’s newsletter.)
Sometimes, you are attracted to a person you meet on the subway, someone who is age appropriate and you have similar interests, and are in similar places in your life.
Other times, you are attracted to a coworker, she is 19 years younger than you, and you aren’t sure if you have the same interests, as she is young enough to be your daughter.
Dylan and Audrey are the latter. She’s a subordinate, she works for the company, and she asks him to kiss her…he’s powerless to refuse her, and he doesn’t want to resist her. As a reader, you FEEL this attraction, his desire to do something that he knows (or thinks)is wrong, but wants to do so badly. This is the main tension of the book, and the reason that the scenes with Audrey and Dylan are so damn hot.
But, she is young, and he feels bad, like this isn’t something he should pursue. However, when she pursues him? When she goes with him to appointments, comes on to him, and makes it clear that she wants him, and knows what she is asking for? Well, there is no way he is going to turn her down.
Yes, this is a story on a timeline, they have a week (or so) before both of them move on to other things, other places in their lives, and go back to their real lives. So, what is the harm in pursuing the relationship? Nothing, as long as you don’t fall in love.
OOPS.
Technically, this doesn’t end on a cliffhanger…but it does end with you wanting to know what happens next.
As always, this title is full of characters you like and ones you want to know more about. As always, Laurelin Paige delivers a story you love and don’t want to put down.
I recommend this title.
I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.
I’m not usually a fan of science fiction, but I need to time travel now. It’s not very far, just to March of this year. Why? So I can finish this series.
This story is hot… in other words, it’s a Laurelin Paige classic. From the minute Audrey is in Dylan’s flat, it’s on fire. They’re on fire.
This story is a tease… close, closer, almost. Damnit. You will be turning each page eagerly, only to repeat. It’s a beautiful tease. The characters, the plot, all working together delightfully playing with the reader. Making you want more.
This story is a pair of believable characters. Yeah sure, one of them is very very rich. But, they are both humans, with flaws and character traits that come from surviving the worst and living the best. How fate has dealt them similar hands, but the outcomes have been different. How we span the optimism of youth, the sage wisdom that comes with age. Real people.
Finally, and this one is a huge one for me. I’m a British reader and for the love of god don’t write Brits if you think they sound like a character from Charles Dickens. Cliches I’ve read them all. Yeah, we swear but shit and shite mean something different… and we do use the word bloody, but it’s actually not a word that can be dropped in every other sentence. Dylan, thankfully, feels like he could be a real Brit. And it would have been a shame to mess up his character with ridiculous language.
This book is brilliant. It’s a must for anyone that hasn’t read Laurelin Paige, but before you start here, make sure you read Dirty Filthy and Dirty Sexy. Those are Donovan and Weston’s stories, who also appear in Sweet… and they also have the advantage of being finished series 🙂
Now, time travel anyone?
Great start to the Duet!! Love Dylan and Audrey!!
I loved it! The story between Audrey and Dylan is a slow and steamy build. Audrey Lind is the younger sister of Sabrina. Dylan is an emotionally unavailable partner of Reach. He is one of Sabrina’s bosses and much older than Audrey. It is a quick read and it will hook you and not let you put it down until the very end. I can’t wait to read the second book in the duet.
