The title sure says it all I had a great time and was highly entertaining with each turn of the page. The characters are well developed and engaging and the storyline flowed smoothly from beginning to the end. The cover had me baking my own cookies lol.

A sweet second chance romance between Peyton and Sam. It’s a short well written novella with strong characters and an interesting story line. The authors do a great job moving the story fluidly while the couple work through their secrets and discover truths on the way to their HEA. Well done!

Sam Benson had always cared for the girl next door, Peyton Miller. But he is betrayed by Peyton and his brother and stays away from home to avoid them. When his father dies, he finally returns for the funeral and to help his mom with the Christmas tree farm. He finds that Peyton is now a widow with two children and pregnant with another. She, like Sam, still thinks about what could have been between them if things had gone differently.
There are secrets to be revealed that may cause Sam to reconsider their situation. Will the two of them realize that they still love each other? Can they put the past behind them and become the family they should have been all along? Or will it be impossible for Sam to forgive the cruel betrayal that broke his heart all those years ago?
I just loved this book. It was so well-written that it captured my mind and I was dragged along for the ride. Once I started reading I could not put it down until I read the last page.

If you’re looking for something short and sweet this is a great choice. It’s a well-written, second chance romance that pulled me in from the beginning. I think novellas are tough to read because they’re so short but this one isn’t lacking or rushed. Don’t worry there are some funny parts too.
I really felt a connection to the characters as they worked through some pretty intense emotions. The banter between them and some of the supporting characters helped lighten the mood and made me laugh. Sam is struggling when he gets home and sees what he’s missed, I felt so bad for him. Of course, he’s hurt and angry, he’s dealing with a lot of different emotions in a short amount of time.
Peyton was his high school sweetheart and seeing her again, remembering the pain she caused him and now coming face to face with yet another secret is a lot to grasp. At first, I didn’t like her, until he uncovered more of her secrets and hidden pain. then I could feel her struggling, which changed my opinion of her. I loved how he just jumped in to help; he’s so sweet and caring. To me, they felt awkward together at first but it didn’t take them long to become comfortable again. From the beginning, I could feel their connection but once they made it through the rough stage they really fit perfectly together.
I haven’t read anything from either of these authors. I really enjoyed this one and would love to read more of their books.
