A sexy, small town, second chance romance. Thanks to a drawn-up-while-drinking-moonshine partnership agreement, Madison Allain has to spend thirty days back on the bayou before she can sell her part of the family business. And if the heat and humidity and freaking alligators of Louisiana aren’t enough to agitate the cool and in-control California girl, then Owen Landry, the equally hot guy who … Owen Landry, the equally hot guy who stole her heart twelve years ago, will sure do the trick.
Owen just has to remember three simple-ish rules: Do not fight with her. Do not fight over her. Do not kiss her. He can do this. He’s charming and friendly for a living after all. But this is Maddie. The only woman to ever shake up this laid-back bayou boy.
Besides, she’s not staying. No way. These people and this town make her crazy. She doesn’t want to be crazy. She definitely does not want to own a swamp boat tour company. She just wants to paint. In her quiet, beautiful, alligators-not-allowed, air-conditioned art studio.
As for that hot bayou boy? Well, he’s…amazing. But he belongs here in the South. And she definitely doesn’t. Even if her heart stays behind when she leaves.

This is Maddie and Owen crazy sexy second chance love story. It’s the small town she never wanted to come back to. Her life was in California now. But tragedy required her to come home, and stay for a month. She never intends to stay. Maddie is a spitfire, stubborn, feisty and a firecracker. Owen is handsome, sexy and caring. He is the calm to her storm. He tries his best to get her to change her mind to stay. she stopped painting ever since she came back home, he encouraged her to go back to California to follow her dream.
The secondary characters have troubles of their own, which makes it a very entertaining
story.
Tanner De Bruyne and Angie Hickman performance was entertaining, but I wish Tanner had the Southern accent needed for the Boys of the Bayou

Maddie and Owen’s second chance romance is a great return to the Landry series and the Bayou.
Maddie is determined not to return to her roots, but Owen is determined not to lose her a second time. They share a soul-deep love that has been separated by thousands of miles and Maddie’s stubborn determination not to return home. Thankfully she’s forced to return home, and once she’s there, she just can’t ignore her feelings for Owen.
Owen, for his part, is determined to do whatever it takes to make his relationship with Maddie work this time, no matter what he has to do.
And, of course, there are plenty of fun times on the Bayou with the whole extended cast of characters.
A Fabulous Delightful! Awesome Story & Listen

Boys of the Bayou, Book,2
A Second Chance Romantic Comedy
By: Erin Nicholas
Narrated by: Tanner De Bruyne, Angie Hickman
I am loving the “Boys of the Bayou” series and it is not just the boys that are great, the girls are pretty awesome too. Erin Nicholas is a gifted author, she creates stories and characters that are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with. Her books are entertaining and easy to lose yourself in, the descriptive details bring you along side the characters letting you see what they see, feel and think. I adored the two lead characters, Madison “Maddie” Allain and Owen Landry, the secondary characters are pretty amazing too. Maddie had left the life she had in small town of Autre behind when she moved to California where she works in a museum and paints her own artwork on the side. She does not miss the heat or humidity of New Orleans but she has to return to sell the share of the swamp tour company she inherited after her brother Tommy died. A stipulation that she must stay there for 30 days before she can sell her share. The other partners of the company have 30 days to convince her to not sell, one of whom is Owen, her former bestie, partner in crime and her first. The years away did not lessen the chemistry between these two, Maddie is determined to do her 30 days and leave but the longer she stays the more she realizes how much she misses the Bayou and her people, especially Owen. I loved how everything plays out in this book the story is plotted out nicely, the characters and their shenanigans in this book are non-stop, there are many laugh out loud moments some eye rolling ones too. There is also drama, a touch of angst, heartfelt and emotional moments and some hot romance. Erin Nicolas, thank you for another awesome story, it was great to visit N’Awlins again I am looking forward to what happens next in this amazing series.
And for the fabulous narration, Tanner De Bruyne and Angie Hickman are talented narrators and voice artists. They do an awesome job portraying the characters giving each their own voice and personality. Tanner De Bruyne played Owen’s role with perfection and Angie Hickman did the same for Maddie. Both were great covering the roles of the secondary characters too. They set the perfect tone for the story, handled the witty dialogue with ease and landed the humor flawlessly. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they captured all of the characters emotions and projected them into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen

Owen Landry is such a rugged, rough and tough guy but when it comes to Maddie he has this major sweet spot and it is everything! I loved his softer side and his way with Maddie. These two together were so good. I loved seeing him and her grow together and experiencing the relationship form between them. I also loved the transformation of Maddie from a city girl back into a bayou girl. This book was a sweet and fun read but it also had steam. Lots of steam!
This is the second book in the Boys of the Bayou series and while it could be read as a stand alone, My Best Friend’s Mardi Gras wedding was so much fun that I’d highly recommend starting with that one. I almost skipped this one because I’m not a fan of second chance, but I’m glad I didn’t. It was relatively low on drama/angst for a second chance book and high on humor.
I listened to the audio version and both narrators were new to me. I liked the female narrator’s regular reading voice and her main female character voice, but I didn’t like many of her supporting characters’ voices. The male narrator did a lot better with male/female voices.

I love it when an author can build a place that I would love to visit (or live). And Erin Nicholas does just that with The Boys of the Bayou series. Maddie is forced to come back to Autre from California to settle her share in the Boys of the Bayou tour company. She doesn’t want to stay but then she comes in contact with her prior love, Owen. And her feelings get mixed up. Hilarious situations, awesome banter (the boys are really hilarious) and sweetness abound and I smiled throughout the book.
I also had the opportunity to listen to an early copy of the audiobook, even after I bought the ebook and it was excellently done. Angie Hickman and Tanner De Bruyne were really great and I loved that they affected an accent to get us drawn into the location of the series. Overall, a fun read and a really fun listen!

This is the second book in the amazing Boys of the Bayou Series, a Romantic Comedy. This is a series of interconnected stories. Maddie and Owen’s Second Chance to Love is beautifully written, fun, emotional, and romantic. Maddie is lovely, feisty, and smart. Owen is sexy, handsome, and caring. They are perfect together. The cast of supporting characters is impressive. I love the family bond, and the friendship in this story. The scenery is well described, and breathtaking. The characters are wonderful, the storyline is captivating, and the ending is beautiful. Angie Hickman and Tanner De Bruyne did a great job with the narration. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listen to Beauty and the Bayou, the next book in the Series. #ALC #PinkFlamingoProductions #AudiobookObsession #RomanticComedy

This is the second book in the Boys of the Bayou series. I really enjoyed this book. This book was about Owen and Maddie. Owen is Josh’s cousin and Maddie was Tommy’s sister. When Tommy died his portion of the Boys of the Bayou business was given to Maddie. Maddie and Owen had a crazy first love when they were young. Maddie moved to California to get away from the craziness of the Bayou. Now the boys of the Bayou have 30 days to convince Maddie not to sell the family business. I have really enjoyed this series I can’t wait for the next book.
Oh, yes. This is definitely my favorite series of Erin Nicholas’s books/audiobooks! I absolutely cannot wait for the next one. Last night, I could not pause the audio. I stayed up until 3:30 AM so that I could finish it. I loved Owen and Madison. They have such a sweet, but difficult romance. Madison just kept cracking me up. Owen was swoon worthy. There were times I couldn’t help laughing, but my heart squeezed a few times as well. I’m definitely invested in these characters. And I’m loving the two newest characters as well! Belonging and being loved are two of my greatest desires. This small Louisiana town and it’s folks has an abundance of both!!
Tanner De Bryune and Angie Hickman were good narrators. At first, I had some trouble with some of the voices, but I quickly adapted to them. The audio was running like a movie in my head.
*I received an ALC of this audiobook and this is my voluntary and honest review.

Owen and Maddie
This is another great story to add to the series. Owen and Maddie have a past together but will they have a future living miles apart?
Maddie has to stay in town for 30 days to run the business she does not want. The bayou is family oriented and a lot of fun. There is also a gator story that will put you on the edge of your seat. I recommend this book. Narration was good.

Boys of the Bayou Book 2
By Erin Nicholas
Narrated by Angie Hickman and Tanner Debryune
Perfect timing for this release! It’s Mardi Gras season and there is nothing more fun than New Orleans, Taking a tour with the Boys of the Bayou is popular, and now Maddie finds herself back in town for 30 days so that she can sell her share. Owen doesn’t want her to sell her share, but more important to him, he wants her to stay with him! But things are not always easy as getting what you want. This second chance romance had me from the first scene. These two have combustible chemistry. Maddie is feisty, confident and thinks she knows what she wants. She thinks life is much more complex that it really is. Owen is so lovable. It’s impossible not to fall for this man. And getting to see the other boys is just a plus. Funny, romantic and a story you will love, it’s something you have to listen to!
Angie Hickman and Tanner Debryune are fantastic narrators. Hickman brings the quirky Maddie to life with a voice that fits her. She has that element of feistiness that takes no prisoners and I love it! Debryune is fast becoming a favorite of mine. His voice and smooth and warm, holding that sound of love. Together, they give a wonderful performance and I can’t wait for more!

“California isn’t really the arctic.”
“No, but it’s not a sauna in an oven on the surface of the sun, either.”

After what happened to her brother, Madison fled to California and left behind the bayou boy who stole her heart. Now she has to return to Autre for thirty days so that she can sell her shares in Boys of the Bayou. Owen was preparing himself for the return of the girl who stole his heart twelve years ago but once he saw her he knew that she still got to him. Maddie is determined to prove her investor is what the boys need, sell and head back to California but Owen is equally determined to get her to stay in the bayou.

The Landry family is one of a kind, that’s for sure. Owen and Maddie’s story was good. I like how their memories of the past reminded Maddie of the craziness and fun she used to have in the bayou. I loved Owen’s easy-going, make everything easier for his loved ones attitude. This family is easily becoming a go-to family for a good time. I am looking forward to more craziness from the Landry family and their bayou hijinks.

Audio: This was my first experience with both of these narrators and while I enjoyed Tanner’s voice, I was not overly fond of Angie’s voice.
This series is so much fun! Brothers sisters cousins grandparents otters and alligators
This story. WOW! Don’t go in to this one with any preconceived ideas of how you think Owen and Maddie will get to their HEA. You will be wrong every time! I love the way Erin Nicholas puts stories together by letting the characters lead her. Make sure you have plenty of time to read this one because you won’t want to stop!
I love this series. These guys are so hot and the women are so relatable and their predicaments are hilarious.
Dive into Cajun love!! Entire series is wonderful. There’s crazy and there’s lol Landry crazy. You just have to read. Laughed out loud every few pages and became immersed in the world built by Erin Nicholas. Characters you feel you have known your emote life.
This is a fabulous read
This is a great second chance story. Owen and Maddie had me laughing at what they did for each other in their younger days. Now that they are older there are still funny antics when jealousy comes into play. I loved their story.
I’m already addicted to this series. This second chance romance will just steal your heart. Maddie hasn’t been home for 12 years – ever since her Mom died, her Dad went to jail, and she moved to California to live with her Mom’s parents. Before all that happened, her and Owen had spent a month together as a couple.
Now she wants to sell her portion of the business but in order to that, she has to return home and work there for 30 days. Should be easy peasy but turns out that the longer she is in Autre and around the family, the more conflicted she is about selling her portion and going back to California.
I just loved, loved, loved this story. There are so many heartwarming moments along with laugh out loud parts. You won’t want to miss reading this book.
