“Dylan Locke is a must have in your book boyfriend collection!” – Jana Aston, NYT Bestselling AuthorThe conclusion of the Dirty Sweet DuetDylan Locke knows that pining over the young ingenue Audrey Lind is pointless. He can’t offer her what she wants. He definitely can’t give her what she needs. Thank goodness she’s half a world away, and he doesn’t have to deal with his attraction head on.But … she needs.
Thank goodness she’s half a world away, and he doesn’t have to deal with his attraction head on.
But fate has other plans for him, and when Audrey once again lands in his path, it’s only too easy to fall back into their easy rhythm. And then their easy banter. And of course, each other’s arms.
He tells himself nothing has changed. She still wants forever, and he still thinks tomorrow is long enough.
But watching her search isn’t as easy as he thought it would be, and now Dylan must figure out if he’s really the love Scrooge he professes to be or if he’s been Fate’s willing victim all along.

I was excited to get the conclusion to Audrey and Dylan’s story. This book DID NOT disappoint! Laurelin held me spellbound and wrapped up in the emotions of these characters. I enjoyed their banter and the ease they had with each other. And the push/pull between them was intense. Audrey was a dedicated woman who knew what she wanted but had to move delicately. Dylan was stubborn and set in his ways and I loved the ways Audrey got to him. Their chemistry was hard to ignore. I loved the way this book pulled me in and didn’t let go until the very end, even though I wasn’t ready. Gah! This book is delicious! Grab your copy!
Oh Dylan! That fortress you have built around your tender heart needs a sledge hammer taking to it…so, cue the gorgeousness that is Audrey. Will she be strong enough to break those walls and survive the process?
Following on from Sweet Liar, I approached Sweet Fate hoping for everything good, but knowing that it would be a tough road for both Dylan and Audrey.
What a completely beautiful book. I loved everything about its well written loveliness. The wit, the banter, the sexiness, even having to read through blurred eyes because my emotions were so engaged in loving these characters. Can I be churlish and hope for some loving for Ellen?
Sweet Fate is a fabulous 5* read which is a fantastic addition to this series. Excellent!!
The second installment in this sexy and addicting age-gap duet is just as enthralling as the first, Sweet Liar. Audrey charms and seduces the much older Dylan and proves to him that he’s not too old for her or for love.

Sweet Fate Book 2 Dirty Sweet by Laurelin Paige
This is an awesome way to complete the Dirty Sweet Series!! This second book is as awesome as the first book! Loved every second of it!
“Every word she said was bittersweet. Sweet because he sounded great.”
If you haven’t checked this out, DO! You will love it!
A great conclusion to Dylan and Audrey’s story. I enjoyed that it’s told in Dylan’s POV. I enjoyed reading about their journey as they overcome their obstacles and insecurities. A great ending for this duet.
After Audrey’s and Dylan’s red hot affair in the first book, they are both living in seperate cities. Audrey career is just taking off, while Dylan has found his life becoming a repeat of every other day. There’s no drive to what he’s doing, and he finds himself thinking more and more of the remarkable young woman who managed to make quite and impression on him.
Until he encounters Audrey in his city.
Dylan is still hesitant to start anything with meaning with anyone especially somone so young as Audrey. Audrey is hesitant to invest herself completely in someone so emotionally resolute such as Dylan. She’s just protecting herself, and I was happy to see she wasn’t hanging around waiting for Dylan to chnage his mind. This is something I appreciated about this story. Audrey would be fine without Dylan, but she still wanted him.
Both their feelings are strong for one another, it’s only the matter of taking the jump.
I really enjoyed Sweet Fate! The ending was so sweet and in a way more complete than the one we’d gotten from The Dirty Duet. I always enjoy Laurelin’s books, and I can’t wait to see what else she has in store for us!
This book was from Dylan’s point of view and I loved it! I completely related to his fatalistic martyrdom. Audrey was such a breath of fresh air and naive, yet wise. I loved the ending but the epilogue was the cherry on top!
4-4.5 stars. I really loved how this sequel played out. Dylan and Audrey complement each other in the best of ways. Dylan is back in London, trying to move on with his bland life of work and bare social niceties, occasionally meeting up with his bandmates. And then Audrey shows up, full of her usual exuberance and youthful enthusiasm with hearts in her eyes for love and adventure and romance. They are adorable. Because it wasn’t like they fell back into a relationship (not that there was one to begin with), but Dylan has a very cynical view on emotional ties, that they are inevitably going to break. Audrey, on the other hand, believes in fate and the full experience of being wooed and finding The One. This is entirely in Dylan’s POV and despite the walls he puts up with his usual jaded view, he has a very soft and tender side that he smothers with pragmatism and detachment. Yet he would hate for Audrey to succumb to such pessimism even though he thinks reality will eventually rear its ugly head for her someday, he finds it endearing that she’s so wide eyed and upbeat. It’s really amusing to watch Audrey worm her way under his skin while she talks so openly about her life plans and how he refrains from putting in his usual negative spin on things because he wants to be supportive. Watching Dylan go through the various stages of acknowledgement was beyond entertaining because he fixates on the very few “wrongs” rather than the multiple “rights.” With his level of maturity, I expected him to have an epiphany sooner than later and he did not disappoint. They are my favorite couple in the Dirty world after Donovan and Sabrina. However, I’m sure the mysterious Cade will have quite a story to tell, too.
Sweet Fate is the conclusion of Dylan and Audrey’s story within the Dirty Universe.
This book is told mostly from Dylan’s point of view, and really showed why he is the man he is. I just adored the way he cared for Audrey, always thinking of her and putting her first.
I thoroughly enjoyed seeing more of Dylan’s relationship with his son and ex-wife, as well as the reminder of his close relationship with Donovan as well.
And let’s not forget the filthy talking side of Dylan. Delicious! Audrey is one lucky lady!
Overall, I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next books in the Dirty Universe.
These two, !!!!! Dylan has his insecurities because of his previous marriage but Audrey was persistent. He was trying very hard to not let her in but it was useless. Audrey was the breath of fresh air that Dylan needed. She didn’t care about his age and the baggage’s he claims he has had; she just wanted him. When Dylan needed her the most she was there without him even asking and that sealed it for him. He finally opened his heart and let Audrey penetrate the walls that were surrounding his heart and their ending was beautiful. She was an awesome heroine.
Book 2 – you really need to read book 1 Sweet Liar first.
I finished this one with a big smile on my face. Dylan certainly doesn’t like to make life easy for himself or Audrey. This one was more emotional than book one for me and that worked as we were seeing them grow into “more.”
There’s still the heat and humour from book one that made me love these two but now we get the feels to go with them. Fantastic read. Definitely recommend.
DANG I love these boys… Even the hard shelled ones… I LOVED this story… Dylan knows what he wants but too afraid to go after it! Poor Audrey she is trying so hard! Another duet that I will be putting on my reread list of Ms Paige’s… LOVE Ms Paige’s Writing!
This conclusion was great. Audrey and Dylan are fantastic! I love that she was confident enough to go after what she wanted. Even when what she wanted was man so much older than her and considered love a 4 letter word. The way that Audrey went about getting the man she wanted was pretty masterful. The things that brought them together and then what had them apart were just so believable. Many times I just wanted to shake Dylan and ask him how stupid he was. This is another great couple in the Dirty Universe that Laurelin has created. I think they are her sweetest couple yet! Still dirty …. but so so sweet. Y’all should go get this duet today! It is a must read!
I believe in kismet! You know that, we are exactly where we need to be, philosophy? Audrey is a young 20 something just out of her graduate degree and looking for her career and THE One. Dylan is in his early 40s and has sworn off any relationships. They meet and begin a casual relationship. I say casual only in the way of burning up the bed sheets kind of friends. He is her Professor she is his student and it is steamy.
This is book two of the Dirty Sweet Duet. Sweet Liar is book one and a novella of how they came to be a couple. While fate or kismet may have had something to do with them being together, Donovan Kindcade from the Dirty Filthy Rich Men series that is the one making kismet. I am a huge fan of Laurelin Paige. This duet is another winner for me. I definitely recommend.
A sexy conclusion to Dylan and Audrey’s story!
Dylan and Audrey may be a May-December romance, but these two have fiery passion. It’s been a while since these two laid eyes on each other. Audrey has now completed school and is starting her first job in no other place than London. Not expecting to run into each other, fate has different plans. I love the push and pull between these two, Audrey has seemed to grow up quite a bit, but Dylan is still fairly closed off. The chemistry between them is prevalent, and Ms. Paige is the queen of writing passion. Sweet Fate is a quick and easy satisfying read that leaves you craving more of the characters from her dirty world. Loved it!
I received a free copy of this book from the author.
This is the second book in the Dirty Sweet Duet. If you haven’t read Sweet Liar you’ll need to read that first before Sweet Fate.
We find Dylan and Audrey in London in Sweet Fate. After their ending in Sweet Liar you’ll be rooting for their success in this book. You’ll feel the tug of war inside Dylan. So much you’ll just want to shake him and tell him to get over himself. I swear that man is a stubborn wanker! HA!
Thankfully there’s a light at the end of their war and it shines brightly on Dylan and Audrey. Their story is sweet. It has it’s obstacles. Revelations. Along with a HEA.
What a perfect conclusion to an amazing story!
I absolutely loved Dylan and Audrey’s story from beginning to end. I loved watching Dylan open up to the idea of loving someone. Audrey grew so much in this story.
I am in awe of Laurelin’s talent in sucking me into her stories!
5 stars!!!
Sweet Fate was a miss for me. I have to say that I did not hate this book, but I didn’t love this book either. I enjoyed that the story was told from Dylan’s point of view but I felt that a majority of the book was him saying the same things over and over. He’s too old, he’s not good enough, he doesn’t believe in love, over and over again. I felt as though Audrey seemed almost too immature for a 24 year old woman. I did enjoy how she was the one to make the first move but that was about it. I enjoyed the last part of the book where there was enough drama to finally have Dylan and Audrey make life changing decisions. All in all, it was an OK read.
Hard to put down! Dylan and Audrey’s conclusion is out of this world. We pick up where we left off and there is so much back and forth regarding chemistry and sexual tension. I felt angst and hope for this couple. Pick it up now but don’t forget to start with Sweet Liar. Warning though, you won’t be able to put either down once you start.
Loved this book.
Wow!! What a conclusion to this amazing story about Dylan and Audrey Lind. From the moment they met, the chemistry has been charged and explosive, and this second book only showed that to be more than true.
Dylan is still trying to do the right thing by Audrey, he’s not ready to change his mind about being in a relationship, no matter how hot their connection is. Audrey isn’t about to let this gorgeous man slip through her fingers again. She’ll do whatever she needs to get him on board with her wishes.
But we still have a bit of emotional upheaval for these two until they find their way back to one another. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll probably even rage, just a little. But still after all that, how could they not find that HAE we all love to see. Grab this book today, but don’t forget to read part 1 first as this is not a standalone, and can’t be read as if it is.
