“Dylan Locke is a must have in your book boyfriend collection!” – Jana Aston, NYT Bestselling AuthorThe conclusion of the Dirty Sweet DuetDylan Locke knows that pining over the young ingenue Audrey Lind is pointless. He can’t offer her what she wants. He definitely can’t give her what she needs. Thank goodness she’s half a world away, and he doesn’t have to deal with his attraction head on.But … she needs.
Thank goodness she’s half a world away, and he doesn’t have to deal with his attraction head on.

He tells himself nothing has changed. She still wants forever, and he still thinks tomorrow is long enough.
But watching her search isn’t as easy as he thought it would be, and now Dylan must figure out if he’s really the love Scrooge he professes to be or if he’s been Fate’s willing victim all along.

What I really enjoyed about this book is that we got to know what was going on in Dylan’s head – which doesn’t happen very often. He is over 40, had his heart broken by his older wife, and just wants to spend some quality time with his teenage son. I think Audrey reminds him of his younger self – when he believed in live and all things romantic. It was wonderful seeing how he evolved and began to open up. Audrey is definitely a bit of a spitfire and definitely has a bit of a devious mind.
I had such high hopes for this story. After the ending of book 1, I was all excited that Dylan was going to go and get his girl. However, I was left to be disappointed. This was like reading a whole other story with these two characters. I was kind of disappointed.
I won’t go into more of this story because I really don’t want to give anything away. However, I do want to say that I wish this story had been more of an I want my woman kind of story.
I absolutely loved this series; this book, this author! Once again Laurelin Paige had me hooked and hanging on to every, single, thing Dylan and Audrey. Their story was just as fresh and exciting as the first book and I was rooting for them to find their HEA. Dylan was as stubborn as they come. He was just up in his feelings. Refusing to give love a chance. He was so jaded that he couldn’t believe in love when it was staring him right in the face. Audrey was just as fierce and strong as she was in Sweet Liar -embracing life and meeting it head-on. Take it from me, you need to read this book, or you won’t know what you’re missing. I Loved, loved, LOVED IT!!!
Let me just start off by saying I simply loved the conclusion of the Dirty Sweet duet. While this is on the tamer side of what I usually read from Laurelin, that didn’t deter from how much I adored it. It was sweet, funny, and still enough sexiness mixed in throughout.
In the 2nd half of the duet we pick right back up with Dylan and Audrey. Dylan still pessimistically doubting love, and Audrey still longing for her Kismet. As things begin to unfold in this half, we see their bond grow even further and it was so much fun to read, this portion being set in London. As Audrey continues to search for her one true love, Dylan begins to fall in a way he never thought possible after his past. Their chemistry is very playful still which makes this truly a fun read!
Sweet Fate was simply splendid!
Dylan Locke is what you can call tainted when it comes to matters of the heart. After having his heart broken by his ex-wife he didn’t believe an a HEA, in spite of everyone around him finding happiness he didn’t thing it would last. Audrey and her youth believed that “the one” was out there for her. When she realized he was Dylan Locke she just had to convince him that all love didn’t end in tragedy. I thought Dylan was to young to be so cynical in some ways he was like a grumpy old man but in other ways he was very youthful such giving Audrey pleasure. If their is anyone that could make him see the light it would be Audrey and her joy for life. It was fun to see Dylan have the support of his resourceful business partner and friend Donovan Kincaid.
I’m hooked on Dylan Locke!
This man does everything he can to not get attached. He’s been down that road once and wants no part of it a second time. He’s cynical, pessimistic, and doesn’t believe in happily-ever-afters anymore. But he’s definitely a believer in happy-right-now and he’s really, really good at it too. Dylan is addictive. Charming and oh-so-sexy, you’ll easily overlook his relationship flaws for his dirty-talking British accent. He’s irresistible.
Audrey is a whirlwind. She’s young but still holds a maturity about her that gives you hope. She’s funny and flirty, and a perfect compliment for Dylan’s personality. She has a way of making him see the simpler things and while he tends to show her what she’s worth.
I love the push and pull between these too. Much like the first part of this duet, Dylan and Audrey fight their attraction…until they can’t anymore. The result is a roller coaster of emotions when reading – there are so many feels in this story to go along with the fun and steamy moments. It’s a beautifully balanced read that I think you’re going to love.
I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book. First, Dylan, British, Yum. Second, Dirty Sweet is the perfect description for this book. There is a little bit of everything in this book. I highly recommend this and all of her books! She makes you fall in love!
Dylan and Audrey are back! And they do things a bit differently than we are used to in most romance novels: The girl chases the boy – and not the other way around. Another catch: Dylan is waaay older than Audrey. It’s a rare concept, a breath of fresh air and with the usual portion of Laurelin Paige sizzle, passion and drama, it works out just perfectly.
Another approach I absolute loved was that this story was actually told from Dylan’s point of view. Dylan being almost twice her age, had his reservations if he was really what Audrey deserved – no matter how badly he wanted her, he just knew with him having a certain life experience and Audrey just really starting her adult life, it wouldn’t be fair to her. To actually be in Dylan’s head and knowing his thoughts made me fall for him all the more. Swoon!
Audrey on the other hand might be young, but she is still mature enough and the right amount of vibrant to be exactly right for Dylan – to get him to be happy again.
It’s sexy, it’s sweet – and even a bit heartbreaking. A slow process for the both of them that is so worth the trouble. I loved it!
Audrey believes in kismet and is looking for the “one” to get married and have babies with. She’s graduated college and landed an amazing opportunity in London! Dylan once believed in love but has vowed to never commit to someone and get hurt again. One day after work, he decides to walk through the park on his way home rather than take a cab. Are his eyes fooling him or is Audrey literally in front of him? Do you believe in kismet?
I loved this duet! The perfect conclusion, although I would take more of Dylan and Audrey if LP were willing to share.
Yes I got book 2 and it was everything I thought it would be. Dylan was still being a stubborn man and not wanting to admit to any of his feelings at first. Audrey was still her brush a fresh air except now she was in his home territory and they decide friendship with no sex is the best route to go. But Audrey is on a mission to find “The One” and its driving Dylan crazy. So the things they do and come up with are so crazy and funny. I wish it would have been longer especially the epilogue. I really would have liked to have known a lot more into the future that was happening. But I really enjoyed this hot little duet and I recommend it. – By Tina

The ending is finally here to the Dirty Sweet duet and I loved it! I loved Dylan and Audrey’s story.
Their story started in book one Sweet Liar and after finishing it I could not wait to get my hands on book two. Let me tell you it did not disappoint. This is not your typical romance where the guy chases the girl, Audrey did the chases and I am so glad it worked out for them. I loved this duet
Laurelin Paige is one of my favorite authors and I can’t wait to read more of her work.
Sweet Fate is the second book in the Dirty Sweet duet, and I enjoyed it even more than Sweet Liar.
The story is told from Dylan’s point of view (which I loved), and while he’s pining after Audrey and trying to keep his distance, it provided a lot of detail into the WHY behind his actions/thought process. Our sexy Brit is jaded for a reason, and getting insight into his heart and mind was really nice. Not only that, I took a lot of satisfaction in the dynamic between these two, especially since it seems like fate is trying to tell them something. Only thing is, will both of them listen?
I have a lot of admiration for Audrey, her positive outlook on love, and her desire to get exactly what she wants. I wanted to clap a few different times throughout this story at some of the things she did and said lol. She’s definitely a character worth falling for, and I’m so happy she and Dylan crossed paths because he’s just as worthy of love as she is.
Just like with any other Laurelin Paige book, the sexy times were extremely well-written, and I found myself squirming in the best way while reading this. Not only that, the romance and connection between these two characters—opposites who balance each other out perfectly—was heartwarming and left me swooning and smiling.
This was a satisfying conclusion to Dylan and Audrey’s story and yet another wonderful installment in the Dirty Universe. If you’re looking for your dirty with a nice helping of sweet, I highly suggest reading this duet.
Dylan and Audrey’s story continues in Sweet Fate and as you read you can’t but help fall in love with them even more. What a pickle these two are in. I love that Audrey knows what she wants and is strong and vulnerable all at the same time. Dylan (be still my beating heart) doesn’t want to admit he is falling for her. So as we watch them dance around each other falling more and more in love we pray that Dylan is going to make his move before it’s too late and thank goodness he does. I love that Audrey brings out the best in Dylan who can be a bit on the grumpy side and has no problem with him being the older man. They are pretty much perfect together. It’s written with a touch of humour and the sizzle factor is high. Laurelin Paige doesn’t disappoint in bringing us the conclusion on Dylan and Audrey’s story and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this duet to lovers of swoon-worthy romance

Who believes in Kismet – I certainly do after reading book 2 in the Dirty Sweet duo. I loved Dylan and Audrey even more then I did before.
Starting off a while after Sweet Liar ends Dylan is back home in London and ends up seeing Audrey again and her sister’s wedding. Then all of a sudden she ends up in London for an internship – after she in her special Audrey way reaches out to Dylan they really begin to start a true friendship. Which entails Audrey telling him all about her many dates which causes Dylan to start to rethink their platonic relationship. Things just start to escalate from there.
Laurelin Paige takes her readers on an emotional roller coaster that is Dylan and Audrey’s relationship. There is humor, heartbreak, and love that makes book 2 in this duet even more special than the first book. We do get to see a few old friends from the Dirty series and Donovan is up to his usual tricks in trying to move Dylan and Audrey’s relationship along. In the end, though this is Dylan and Audrey’s story through and through and in my opinion a must read if you love Laurelin Paige or if you are new to her books.
Dylan, Dylan, Dylan….I wanted to strangle him. Love him non the less. His and Audrey’s HEA took some time to happen but was worth every aspect of it. He was so against Love and she was so in love with love. How could it not be Kismet. Their journey was quite endearing.
I love Dylan and Audrey. Their story is worth reading. I love how they came together and how she would test him to make him jealous. Dylan is sexy. Audrey goes after what she wants. She is funny, sassy and straight to the point kind of girl. The things she made him go through had me smiling. She was trying to get him to react. He put on a good poker face but inside it was torturing him. Which had me smiling. He thinks he can’t love again because what happened before. Audrey wants to find her lover for life. Towards the end I was saying don’t let her get away, she is perfect for you. I love how this book came together at the end. Absolutely recommend this book. Recommend reading the first book before reading this one.
First of all.. the event at the beginning of the book made my heart happy. I was so hoping we’d get more that time and Laurelin delivered. As one of my favorite authors, I believe she really listens to her readers wants when she’s writing and it shows. I mean, I’m pretty sure everyone wants more Donovan. And if they don’t, they’re wrong lol. B of all… Dylan, oh sweet older sexy Dylan. You’re dirty mouth makes me swoon! I love how perfectly imperfect these characters are for each other. Their story was another epic masterpiece from the author. This universe of hers is one of my all time favorites and it’ll be hard to let it go. Hopefully that won’t be for awhile. If you haven’t been introduced to this world, start with Dirty Filthy Rich Boys and you’ll never look back.
Sweet Fate was an amazing ending to this incredible story. Dylan did not believe in love, or living happily ever after. He swore off love a long time ago when he went through a bad marriage, until Audrey walked Into his life. It looks some time but she taught him how to love again, a true rollercoaster ride that you can’t put down. Amazing read!!!
Sweet Fate is the second book in the Dirty Sweet Duet. I really enjoyed the first book in this duet, Sweet Liar. The chemistry between Dylan and Audrey was off the charts. Sweet Fate brings them back together with a little assistance from a friend. In this second book Dylan continues with his self-inflicted ban on commitment. I loved that the story was told in Dylan’s POV, however Dylan’s continual wallowing in self-pity put a small damper on the story. It lost it’s momentum until the ending stirred up all the feels. 4 Stars
This is the second book in the Dirty Secret Duet and it was the perfect ending. Dylan was a swoon-worthy book boyfriend in the first book and this second book just solidifies that for me. I loved seeing his inner struggle as he fought the idea of love. Audrey is such a great heroine, she is spunky and really the perfect compliment to Dylan. This book has the right amount of angst and heat. I loved every minute of it.
