Dylan St. Clair is chaos. And chaos always leaves a trail of destruction in its wake. I just never expected it to be my heart he destroyed.
I’ve had a crush on Dylan St. Clair ever since he climbed into my bedroom window ten years ago.
Wrong window, Romeo.
I was eleven, he was seventeen.
A bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks with a chip on his shoulder and fresh bruises from his latest … fresh bruises from his latest fight, he went on to play the starring role in all my teenage fantasies.
But I always knew he was off-limits. So, over the years I gave up wishing and hoping we could ever be together.
Until he kissed me on a cold beach one starry winter’s night.
Until he said those five words that changed everything.
I picked the wrong sister.

How lucky am I that I got to read Wilder Love and Sweet Chaos back to back?! 🙂 Pretty frikking lucky because they were both 5+ star reads for me!
I have never been happier to see a character from a previous book who already had a love interest in that book get his own book with some other love interest. It’s very common to try and redeem a character that may or may not have been worthy in a previous book. Dylan didn’t need redeeming, but his relationship status sure did LOL Here’s the thing, in Wilder Love Dylan was in a relationship with Sienna, who is Scarlett’s sister. THAT relationship was incredibly wrong on all kinds of levels, so I was automatically rooting for Dylan on a new relationship. And him and Scarlett were glorious!
The title of this book pretty much spells out the storyline LOL It was absolute chaos in the sweetest of ways! Their journey was an uphill battle with a ton of obstacles, and Emery Rose wrote their path beautifully! There is so much personal growth in this book as well that I just couldn’t contain the happiness in my heart over this story. It’s bigger than just a romance journey between two people! It’s a story of growth and acceptance, overcoming life and accepting what’s right in front of you, family, friendship and love! SO MUCH LOVE!
I saw these two quotes in a review the other day and they are a perfect example of the emotion in this story ….
“No way in hell was I giving Scarlett up. She was mine, and I was hers, and it was just that fucking simple.”
“What are we, Dylan?
We’re everything, Starlet. Every-fucking-thing.”
This was an amazing 6 star story. I was hooked from the very page to the last one. I couldn’t get enough.
Scarlett has always been in love with Dylan. She was just a young kid with a crush on her sisters boyfriend. Scarlett, now grown up does her own thing. She doesn’t go by her wealthy parents rules. She loves and live life for her. Then the kid from the wrong side of the track is a man and likes Scarlett. Together they made sparks fly and made me fall in love with them too.
I basically devoured this story in one day. I was so enthralled by this amazingly written story that I couldn’t seem to be able to put it down for very long. A solid page turner. I LOVED these amazing characters. They have chemistry, respect and I think they are soul mates meant to be together. Beautifully written with an amazing storyline that flowed well. To better understand where Dylan came from, I suggest that Wilder Love be read first. It still can be read as a standalone.
Told in a dual POV with an HEA. I strongly recommend this story. All of this authors previously written stories are all worth the readers precious time and money.
This book was everything I wanted it to be and a whole lot more. It was emotional, full of angst, drama and so much love and chemistry. I honestly loved the whole story start to finish. I just wanted to read and not stop. I absolutely loved it. Go and read it you won’t be disappointed.
From the moment her eyes first landed on him, Scarlett fell hard for Dylan St. Clair, but her little crush on him would never go any farther than that because he would always be the boy that had her sister’s heart. He was a bad boy with a reputation, a boy from the wrong side of the tracks, and a boy her parents would never approve of… but that didn’t stop her from dreaming about him.
Now older, her sister has moved on with someone new, and she has just moved back home and is attempting to make it on her own, without the support of her daddy’s tainted money. In her family everything given comes with expectations, and she is tired of never measuring up, so she has cut ties with them and their money. Upon her arrival she also runs into an old friend, Dylan, the boy who has had a part of her heart since she was a teen. She didn’t expect to see him again, but once she does all those old feelings come rushing back… question is, will she do something about them now? Or will she let old issues stand in the way?
Sweet Chaos is a spellbinding tale that will instantly grab a hold of your attention and your heart, and leave you struggling to let go. The moment I met these two wounded souls I knew they were perfect for one another, but they had a lot standing in their way, and it was a struggle for them to see past it. Which meant the angst and anticipation was at an all time high, the “will they, won’t they cross that line” was quite torturous. But all the torture to the heart is well worth the outcome in the end. This was such a beautiful story of resilience, second chances, healing, and personal growth. It was also quite an impressive first read, the words were rich with feeling and held my attention intently, and the characters were so easy to fall for, the moment I met them they instantly had a piece of my heart. If you like angsty forbidden love stories, then I have no doubt that you will love what you find between the pages here, it’s characters are destined to take you on a very memorable journey!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
This was such a beautiful read. The style is so lovely even when it’s totally angsty and painful.
Dylan and Scarlett are a fated match, right from the start. He’s got a lot to learn from her and she’s got a lot to let go of. They are a hot, powerful match!
Poor broken Dylan… a man who has so much to carry on his shoulders and his feeling of self-worth and being worthy of a woman as good and kind as Scarlett so small… my heart absolutely broke for him. Dylan has turned his life around and has made a name for himself, has all the money in the world but still believes he is undeserving.
Scarlett has always loved him… since she was a teenager and he was her sister’s boyfriend. But Scarlett is everything that Sienna is not… a woman who believes in him, has always believed in him and who he could be… if he could only see those things for himself.
This book is appropriately named—Sweet Chaos—because it is just that. Watching Dylan come to terms with finding real love and fighting for the woman who has his heart was beautiful to watch… their chemistry undeniable and HOT… let’s not even talk about the perfect happily ever after. I sighed with relief and happiness because it was just complete perfection.
Emery Rose is on my list of must-read authors. I love her words and I can’t wait for more!
Sweet Chaos is a gorgeous blend of life and love and all the storms in between. Just like Scarlett and Dylan are consumed with each other, you will be with this story. The twists and turns will rile you up, but those sweet and sexy tender moments with blow your mind. Dylan and Starlet have this unwavering devotion for each other long before either of them completely understands if they can fight through their demons to have their shot at forever. I adore Dylan’s protective nurturing side. I love Scar’s sass and fire to forge her own path. You need to read this book for the beach, her birthday present, the kiss, the tattoo and the ultimatum alone. Dylan ruined me for other book boyfriends. Sweet Chaos will rattle your mind and nestle deep in your heart because it’s swoon-worthy, tender, loving and everything you need.

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.
This is my first Emery Rose novel and I cannot believe I haven’t read her prior to now. I seriously don’t know how I haven’t. It blows my mind because her writing had me hooked from the very beginning, refusing to let me go, and I cannot wait to go back and read her previous work! Like all of it. Because I need to read it all.
Sweet Chaos is about Dylan and Scarlett. This book was seriously everything. I love a good forbidden romance, and Sweet Chaos delivers in every single way. Dylan and Scarlett evoke every single emotion… you will be laughing, smiling, crying, and you will definitely want to slap someone, or throw your kindle across the room because it’s so intense that you don’t know what else to do. I had to put the book down and remove myself before I actually threw my kindle. It was THAT intense.
Scarlett is my freaking soul. She is everything I wish I could be. And then with Dylan, she is SO MUCH MORE! And the same goes for Dylan. Without Scarlett, he is a shell of the man he is supposed to be. Together, they are a powerhouse. I seriously cannot get over how much I love them.
By the time the end came, and all was said and done, I was overcome with so many emotions that I just sat in my chair, rewinding the past few hours as I relived the book in my head. Every moment, every touch, every kiss is engrained in my head and I don’t know if I ever want it to leave. Emery writes with such passion and grit that you can’t help but feel like you are there through every single moment, living and breathing with them as they go through each and every moment.
Five stars for this intense forbidden romance that will hook you in from the very start, refusing to let you go, even when the words The End grace the screen and there are no words left for you to read.
If you read Wilder Love be prepared for something different. This story does not follow the same direction as that book. It takes on a different tone and some different issues. This is a good thing, First there is the story of unrequited love, in more ways than one. The second is the matter of daring to be different. Scarlett Woods has been in love with Dylan St. Clair for over 10 years. She is a girl who is true to herself in most ways and in her family is the rebel, the black sheep. Dylan is the ultimate bad boy or so you would think. Just remember still waters run deep. Things are rarely what they appear to be. I don’t do spoilers. I don’t think it’s fair to the author. Read the blurb to find out the gist. Then read the story to enjoy this deliciousness all on your own.
What I will tell you is that this story brings so much to the table such as what do we see when we look at people? Do you judge someone by their cover? Can someone change? Do you always need to hold to the codes we impose on society or are you entitled to live your own life for yourself? Are we doomed to live with the sins of our father or mother? Are we responsible for how people feel about us, especially if we can’t reciprocate their feelings? When is enough, enough? Is it really possible to recover from your past?
There’s so much in this book that I haven’t even touched on. You will enjoy unraveling all the elements in this riveting story. All the feels are provided, smiles, anger, tenderness, deviousness, romance, heat, and understanding. The two biggest feelings are love and hope.
Along the way we got to meet up with friends from the past. If you haven’t read the first book don’t worry. It won’t inhibit your enjoyment of the book. However, I suggest you read Wilder Love to get the total experience.
I loved revisiting Costa del Ray and it’s beautiful vistas with all it’s interesting people. I don’t know if they’ll be another book in this series but I certainly would love it if there was. I personally don’t surf but I love living vicariously through these characters and catching a ride with them .
Let me just say I fell in love with Dylan and his pet name for Scarlett but I’ll let you discover that for yourself. What I will say is while I was reading Coldplay’s “A Sky Full of Stars” kept running through my head. And that’s all I’m going to say about that! Well done Emery Rose!
Wow. This book absolutely destroyed me before it pieced me back together in the most beautiful way possible! Dylan and Scarlett have a long, somewhat painful past, but that’s not about to stop Dylan from making Scarlett his future. He just hasn’t quite figured out how important that future truly is to him yet. So she’s the one woman he should probably stay away from. Big deal. The heart wants what it wants, and Dylan is forced to listen.
Scarlett is used to being unwanted or last pick to everyone, and she’s not okay with being that to the man she’s loved since Romeo tumbled into the wrong window. She’s had years to try to forget her young love, but she just can’t push him away when he becomes her present and wants to be her everything. She just has one big stumbling block: his ex.
Dylan and Scarlett had a very rough journey from nothing to HEA, but as painful as it was, their road needed the bumps and wrong turns for them to both truly appreciate all that they have together. I couldn’t put this book down because I HAD to know what came next. I wanted to cry for I both Dylan and Scarlett at times, wanted to slap the taste out of Sienna’s mouth, and absolutely adored the happy life that Dylan and Scarlett finally got. They were proof that anything worth having is worth fighting for.
So Dylan St Clair is pretty much everything. I have been waiting for his story ever since I finished Wilder Love. I absolutely love Scarlett for him. She believes in him fully which he so deserves after what Sienna did to him. Oh and I really can not stand Sienna. I figured she would be horrible when she found out but she was worse than I imagined. Unfortunately I don’t think she ever had a chance , she is too much like her father. My heart broken for Dylan a few times in this book but the epilogue was just so amazing. 5 star read all the way.
**I did receive a free advanced readers copy of this book from Emery Rose and Wildfire Marketing Solutions in exchange for a fair and honest review. ***
***4,5 “We are everything!!!” stars***
“Dylan St. Clair was about as emotionally available as a rock cliff. The one I was about to throw myself off, praying there would be a safety net to catch me.
There wouldn’t be. I already knew that too.”
After reading “Wilder Love” which i can assure you it was an amazing reading, i was kind of obsessed with broody Dylan with the bad boy attitude and i was craving his story…
And when i heard that he will be paired with Scarlett and not Sienna it seemed so weird and intriguing as hell since these two are sisters!!!!
The truth is that we witness his relationship with Sienna in “Wilder Love” and it was toxic as hell!!!
From the other hand, i knew nothing about Scarlett and in a way that terrified me, but let me tell you that Emery Rose made the most wonderful and right decision…
“Oh, Romeo, why did you have to crawl into my bedroom window all those years ago?
I was never supposed to fall for you.”
Well, my poor Dylan!!! He and his sister had lived so many shit because of their mother… A mother who was mother only by name, but whom the twins were still loving even the troubles that she was causing them…
When that mother left them alone around seventeen, Dylan took it upon his shoulders to take care of himself and Remy, no matter what he had to do…
At the present, Dylan had made something with himself and he has lots of money, but he is still the same broken boy deep down inside…
He just need someone to believe in him and to fight for him, and Sienna, his longtime on and off girlfriend, weren’t the one to do it…
“Nobody had expected a punk like me to make good and that made the victory taste so much sweeter.”
“Everyone needs someone who believes in them. I believe in you… Just like you always did for me, even when I didn’t deserve it. Even when I didn’t acknowledge it, I saw you, Scarlett. I always saw you.”
Scarlett was really a surprise in this book and I loved her fiercely…
She was everything that Sienna weren’t… She was a rebel, free spirited and carefree…. She was full of life… She didn’t care to follow the rules that her father was setting and she was refusing to bow in the name of wealth….
She’s also in love with Dylan for almost ten years, from that moment that he climb accidentaly in her bedroom window than her sisters, but she always knew that a man like him will never be hers and she had accepted that fact…
“I craved adventure, the thrill of the unknown, and loved to flirt with danger. And this boy standing in front of me, he was dangerous in a delicious, forbidden way.”
“Dylan St. Clair was chaos. And chaos always left a trail of destruction in its wake. I just never expected it to be my heart he destroyed.”
But lately, their paths are colliding way too much and it is impossible to stay away from each other, even though they should…
After all, Dylan was always her sister’s ex boyfriend and she didn’t want to make her sister sad, but Dylan is very persistent and she can’t stay away from him, even though she is trying…
So what will happen with these two???
Will they have a chance in love???
Or Sienna will always be on the way???
And will Scarlett prove that she is different than her sister??? Will she fight for him and not be ashamed of Dylan???
“Even by my low standards, it was wrong to mess with my ex-girlfriend’s little sister.
But when had I ever done the right thing?”
“This thing with us, it couldn’t last forever. All the odds were stacked against it. He was him, the guy who had never belonged to anyone, and I was me, the girl who desperately wanted him to be mine.”
Well… I loved these two very much!!! They seemed to be wrong for each other but they were so right and perfect together…
Being together was seeming effortless for Dylan and Scarlett and they both deserve to be happy…
They both had their own share on insecurities and ugly things in their lives…
From the moment that Dylan kissed his Starlet and admitted that he picked the wrong sister, something shifted between them…
I really liked seeing Dylan… happy!!! I was feeling so sad for everything that he’d been through his life!!!
“He was the perfect storm. Wild. Unpredictable. Impossible to tame or control. A thing of beauty that could wreak havoc. Destroy you if you got too close.
And I always got too close to the storm.”
“She was cute and funny and honest, and she made me wish for something I’d never wanted before. To be the hero in someone’s fairy tale instead of the villain.”
For once again, i loved seeing Shane and Remy… They also deserved happiness…
For once again, i will repeat that i was mesmerized from the way that the twins were between them…
As for Sienna??? Well, she disappointed me in a way… I can understand how she was feeling but she had do so many wrong moves toward Dylan… She didn’t deserve him and that ‘s the ugly raw truth!!!
“I need you to know how much I love you for everything you did. I need you to know that you’re not alone, Dylan. I’ll always be her for you, okay? Always.” {Remy to Dylan}
Well, I believe that i will miss these guys very much!!!!
Shane, Dylan, Remy and Scarlett had been heard loud and clear by me and i won’t ever forget them…
Please, if you would like to read something new, please read both these books…
The author has a beautiful way to write her stories and she will charm you with her characters very much!!! Trust me on this!!!
“No way in hell was I giving Scarlett up. She was mine, and I was hers, and it was just that fucking simple.”
“What are we, Dylan?
We’re everything, Starlet. Every-fucking-thing.”
