Dylan St. Clair is chaos. And chaos always leaves a trail of destruction in its wake. I just never expected it to be my heart he destroyed.
I’ve had a crush on Dylan St. Clair ever since he climbed into my bedroom window ten years ago.
Wrong window, Romeo.
I was eleven, he was seventeen.
A bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks with a chip on his shoulder and fresh bruises from his latest … fresh bruises from his latest fight, he went on to play the starring role in all my teenage fantasies.
But I always knew he was off-limits. So, over the years I gave up wishing and hoping we could ever be together.
Until he kissed me on a cold beach one starry winter’s night.
Until he said those five words that changed everything.
I picked the wrong sister.

“Sweet Chaos by Emery Rose was the kind of book that reminded me how much I love forbidden romances! This was my first book of Emery and I absolutely adored it!! Dylan and Scarlett’s story was so delightful and special I’m so glad I read it. They were a unique couple and their story will forever be in my heart. I laugh, cried and fell in love. You definitely need to read this story. It’s a must read!”
I loved this book!! I loved Dylan and I adored Starlett (Scarlett) because their chemistry was off the charts. I loved the fact that he tried so hard to let her know how he felt and when he had his family issues he clammed up – which is most men. I would recommend this to anyone wanting an angsty romantic read.
Sweet Chaos was beautifully chaotic! Scarlett and Dylan will take you on a roller coaster ride.
So many feels. Sexy times, sweet times, devotion, love…so much swoon! Loved this book.
Another delightful book by Ms Rose. An engaging story, a bevy of characters you won’t be able to help but fall in love with. A heartbreakingly beautiful story as Scarlett peels back the layers of Dylan’s tortured soul. We had a glimpse of Dylan in Wilder Love, nows the time to pick up a copy of Sweet Chaos and get to know him better. If you like a strong willed heroine you’ll love Scarlett.
Dylan is a broken soul, he’s honourable, a protector and will go to any length for his family. His mother left him and his twin sister Remy behind, she had her own demons, but Dylan saw the woman hiding behind the shadows. Did he like her and what she’d done to them, no but he loved her. Growing up he was the boy who grew up on the wrong side of the tracks, had a rough exterior and was often misjudged. To earn money he was a pool boy and he found himself in a relationship with one of the daughters, but he chose the wrong one.
Scarlett is a straight shooter, she doesn’t waste time saying what people want to hear. She’s working at the surf shop, creating artistic designs for the boards and t-shirts. Dylan comes crashing into her life when she least expected it, he believes in her and helps her build her own business. Scarlett has been lusting over Dylan since she was eleven years old, but he was with her sister Sienna. Will she take a leap of faith and see what they could have together or will she uphold the sister code?
I LOVED THIS BOOK SO HARD!!! <3 <3 <3
I first met Dylan in Wilder Love and the minute I met him I knew that I wanted to read his story!
He was everything and much more. He is broody, moody and not much of a talker, but more than that he is very special; he is such a flawed and tortured soul. Always taking care of the ones he loves and not having anyone believe in him or fight for him until Starlet <3
Dylan came from nothing and worked his way up, Scarlett came from wealth and had nothing, nothing that matter.
"Wrong window, Romeo"
"I'd picked the wrong sister"
My first read from Emery Rose was Wilder Love and I knew I had found my one-click author. I love her writing style, and she deserves to be read more, to be USA number 1, because she is that that good and most deserving of her craft.
If you have not read Wilder Love you should even though Sweet Chaos can be read alone, you will miss a lot of their back story.
I highly recommend this book, its got all the feels <3
Scarlett has been in love with Dylan St. Clair, the boy from the wrong side of town, since he mistakenly climbed into her bedroom window when she was 11 looking for her older sister. Now years later, Dylan is no longer the poor trash her family called him and instead has made something himself. The only person other than his sister that ever believed in him was Scarlett and now that she is back in Costa del Rey, Dylan realizes that she is all grown up and maybe he chased after the wrong sister all those years ago.
Let me just say this book is HOT and Dylan may be the ultimate bad boy book boyfriend ever written. He is broody, tatted up and oozes sexuality yet underneath that is a protective, broken boy who had to grow up too soon. The chemistry between Scarlett and Dylan is so hot I had to fan myself while reading some scenes.
If you are looking for a really great, steamy read this is definitely the book for you.
Oh Dylan, I’m not sure where to even start. You have so many fans and rightly so. You have a reputation for being an a$$hole, but inside you’re just a little boy looking for someone to care about you. You have a secret sweet side and you’re fiercely loyal. Not to mention hawt! Scarlett didn’t stand a chance. I enjoyed getting more of Remy and Shane’s story too. Dylan, you are dirty and magical and everyone should about you. Well done, Emery. Again!
I’m completely and utterly convinced that the best couples are with bad boy, love the chemistry, the relationship between the main characters and the others that complements the story, love how I felt part of the story and how they overcome everything and that nothing is perfect, great book is not the first one that I have read from her and is not going to be the last.
Man oh man I loved this book! Dylan is my favorite kind of hero…alpha, troubled past, hard exterior but heart of gold and thinks HEA’s are for others. Scarlet is strong and opinionated but also comes across as innocent at times and is the perfect girl for Dylan. I literally couldn’t put this book down. I couldn’t imagine how Emery Rose was going to weave her magic in Dylan’s life but she absolutely did! This story will have you rooting for the kid from the wrong side of the tracks with a checkered past and the girl who saw his true worth and believed in him. Don’t miss this 5 star read!
4.5 Everything Stars!!
After I finished reading Wilder Love I couldn’t wait to read more of Ms.Rose’s words! I was hooked from beginning to end! I couldn’t turn away from this story and it’s characters. I loved it!
Scarlett and Dylan’s journey wasn’t easy and it’s one that I felt every bit of. It brought out my emotions and I couldn’t control them at times which is one of the many reasons I fell even harder for this story.
I loved feeling so connected to these characters and how their realness shined through with every page turn.
With Sweet Chaos, Ms.Rose grabbed my heart and made me feel it all! She created such an addictive read packed with all the feels! I can’t wait to pick up what she releases next!
*I volunteered to read and review a copy of this book from Wildfire Marketing Solutions / the author*
This is my first time reading anything from this author, and i wasn’t disappointed, this book was beautifully written, the characters have explosive chemistry, and their story kept me captivated the entire book. This is the second book in the Love & Chaos series, and the story of Dylan and Scarlett. Scarlett’s older sister, is Dylan’s ex, but when they meet again years later, she’s all grown up, and Dylan can’t help but notice. This was steamy, passionate, emotional, raw, gripping, intense, and dramatic. This is a must read!
Dylan is a bad boy from the wrong side of town. He is dating Sienna but ends up climbing in Scarlett’s window. Scarlett is Sienna’s eleven year old sister. The relationship with Sienna turns out to be toxic. Now that Scarlett is older, Dylan is willing to admit his attraction to her. Scarlett always had a crush on him but he was forbidden because of her sister. A taboo older guy/younger woman romance.
This was an awesome read for us and we loved it from beginning to end and everything in between.
This story was heart felt and emotional and one of those slow burn romance reads with and older guy in love\lust with a younger women but, with one major complication he used to be in love with his sister or thought he was .
We loved Dylan already from Wilder Love with his sister Remy the man was just a boy and one that was so strong and determined and so broken but, no matter what age he was and no matter what he had to do he would do anything to see what he considered his was provided for and taken care of.I loved the growth we saw from Dylan this time around although still broken in a lot of ways he made some of his dreams come true and was becoming a little less broken every time he spent with Scarlett.
Scarlett was the rebel of her family and planned to live her life on her own terms. We found Scarlett to be strong ,independent, beautiful on the inside as well as out but, her one weakness was never putting herself first. We loved how she always believed in Dylan when others never did all they saw was a punk from the wrong side of the tracks what Scarlett saw was what was below the surface the good along with the bad.
The chemistry between Dylan and Scarlett was scorching. These two who came from totally different backgrounds fit perfectly together. I loved the story and how this couples journey was wrought with tons of things stacked against them but, Dylan was determined to beat the odds and claim the one thing that would complete his own happiness. I loved the broken bad boy he made my heart just melt when it came to loving and taking care of the people he loved most in this world. Dylan with little Kai melted my heart each and every time and had me wishing that Dylan would someday have everything that his twin sister had because he deserved it for all the sacrifices he made in life in the sake of family.
This was one heart felt tale that tugged at ones heart strings but, also was one of hope ,healing, forgiveness and family.
“we absolutely loved it”
This is a fairly new author too us but, the books that we have ready by her have been both amazing and we are looking forward to seeing what this author creates for us.
“This one goes into the keeper pile!”
I have been eagerly waiting for Dylan’s book ever since we were introduced to him in Wilder Love, but nothing could have prepared me for the way he stole my entire heart. I absolutely adored everything about this book: the love these two had for each other that had been building for years, the forbidden aspect, all the glorious angst.. It was all so amazing!!
Dylan was always Remy’s protector, and basically her parent when they were young, and seeing him go from the angry rebellious teen who had to sell drugs and eat out of dumpsters just so he and his sister could survive, to the savvy businessman who did everything he could to ensure he would never again be the boy begging for scraps was an evolution that I loved witnessing. Having money never changed him, which was so refreshing.. he was the same abrasive, loveable, broken alphahole that I just wanted to hug.
Scarlett was everything that her sister wasn’t; strong, independent, fierce, unwilling to let money rule her, and wanting more than what the cold privilege of money and security her parents seemed content with.. she was just so amazing. She had the biggest heart, but never let Dylan walk all over her. Another thing that made her so different from Sierra was her love for Dylan was pure. It wasn’t a toxic, back and forth drama fest. Scarlett and Dylan grew in their relationship as individuals, and then came together to build something truly beautiful.
Also, Dylan’s dirty talking mouth was absolute fire!! But when he was being all vulnerable — total swoonfest!!!
I loved this book so much! It’s easily my favorite by this amazing author, and one of the best books of 2020!
**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!**
Dylan St. Clair; the brooding, mysterious, yet always has the back of his twin sister, Remy, is finally here!
This is a complete standalone, but if you read Wilder Love you probably were wondering all about Dylan and had to know his story just like I was. Dylan is the twin brother to Remy and we got glimpses of Dylan in her book and those glimpses were just juicy enough to want more!!!
Dylan and Remy were, I say loosely, were raised by a mother that lived a gypsy lifestyle. They never stayed in one place for long which led to a slew of problems. When they reached the age of sixteen they arrived in California and both Dylan and Remy decided to make a stand of finishing out their high school years in that final spot. This lead to both good and bad decisions in their lives. For Remy this lead to a lot of heartbreak (but that is her story to read) and for Dylan this did step him in the direction of becoming a self-made millionaire. A far cry from the trailer trash his life once was.
Whoever said money made you happy?
Scarlett was always second best. The second sister. Treated no better than a replacement. She was used to being overlooked. That is until Dylan came into her life. He never made her feel like a cast off, but as her sister’s ex-boyfriend she feels like a concession prize. Never measuring up to Sienna’s perfection. Even though Dylan never says anything directly she can hardly help the way she feels when it’s the way she’s been treated her entire life.
Whoever said having what you wished for will make you happy?
Dylan and Scarlett are both scarred in their own ways by their families. The old saying “the grass isn’t always greener on the other side of the fence” holds so true for the two of them. Dylan grew up scraping by. Moving from town to town with a mother that wasn’t involved in his or his sister’s lives at all. He fought against all the odds and turned his life around to make something better of himself. Scarlett on the other hand grew up in luxury in the same house her entire life. However, her life was pretty lonely. Her sister ignored her and her father and mother were cold and distant. When she refused to do what her father wanted he cut her off financially so by the time she was twenty Scarlett was living paycheck to paycheck.
Dylan and Scarlett may seem different at first glance, but are actually more alike the more you get to know them. They both hold their core values very close to their chest which, as it turns out, are both very similar. They are loyal, almost to a fault, but as much as they are stubborn, they love (in their own way) ferociously.
Their love when they first met would have been forbidden, yes, and you get to meet them both at this saucy/bantering age, but this story takes place years after that when they are both consenting adults. They are both older and wiser, which takes the forbidden age aspect away, but it does lay the sister’s ex heavy at their feet.
This couple will turn you inside out and practically break you with how deeply they care about each other and those around them. Thinking of their family, the town, and just dealing with a relationship that is new to both of them who have never dealt with one before is an adjustment. There is a lot of emotional punch in this story.
While Sweet Chaos can be read as a standalone, I do suggest reading Wilder Love to bring a deeper understanding to Dylan, he’s a real heartstring puller.
I have been waiting for Dylan’s book since he made his appearance in Wilder Love. I couldn’t wait to delve deeper into the beautiful, broken brother of Remy. Sweet Chaos is Dylan’s book and it did not disappoint. Sweet Chaos is a standalone and can be enjoyed with out reading Wilder Love, but for the enhanced experience, grab Wilder Love, fall in Love with Remy and Shane, then dive onto Sweet Chaos. Dylan St. Clair has his secrets; he has his past. Everyone thinks he is the dark, broody bad, boy brother of Remy. It’s true they are siblings and it’s also true he has a darker side, but Dylan St. Clair is deep and beautiful and has a protective streak a mile long. Scarlett is Sienna’s younger sister. She’s just a kid by all accounts and should not be attracted to her older sister, Sienna’s boyfriend…now ex-boyfriend, but she is….many years later and they find themselves on a tinder box of lust, of want, of true need. The kind that leaves you not only love blind, but love sick. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Dylan and Scarlett fight for their HEA. Emery Rose truly is a wordsmith and brings story’s to life. Sweet Chaos is no exception. I felt ALL THE FEELS while reading this book and I highly recommend it.
This is the 2nd book in this amazing series and is Dylan and Scarlett’s story. Dylan has always been the rebel who did whatever he had to in order to support him and his sister. Scarlett is full of life and a free spirit who fights for her independence from her family. She has always had a crush on Dylan who was in a toxic on/off relationship with her sister for years. No spoilers though: this is an absolute must read you will not be disappointed. This is a beautifully written story which flows seamlessly, and has angst, emotion, and is a steamy all-consuming page turner which had me enthralled throughout. I highly recommend for all readers.
I love the connection that Dylan and Scarlett had, even from an early age. Even though there was a slight age gap, they seemed to understand each other. It was like they were kindred spirits. However, when they re-connected, it was kind of painful. It wasn’t an easy road for either one, together or alone. It was heartbreakingly beautiful, even though sometimes life doesn’t turn out like you want it to.
Dylan’s the moody broody twin to Remy. Strong silent type, bad reputation, kids from the wrong side of the tracks. They had a shitty childhood Remy and him. He intrigued me.
One of his redeeming qualities is his strong bond with his twin they love each other very much.
There were only snippets of him in Wilder Love and he was with Sienna, sort of. This story he’s with Scarlett, Sienna’s little sister. This story is about to become a whole lot more complicated. I like Scarlet, she’s her own person, she’s very different from Sienna.
It’s a forbidden romance. You’re not supposed to want your sister’s ex. She’s a strong independent woman who’s perfect for broody Dylan.
I loved the drama and angst.

I love Emery Rose’s writing and couldn’t wait to read Sweet Chaos. I was so interested in Dylan’s story. I wanted the best for him. Scarlett was exactly who I would have picked for him. Such a great story. Highly recommend!
