Dylan St. Clair is chaos. And chaos always leaves a trail of destruction in its wake. I just never expected it to be my heart he destroyed.
I’ve had a crush on Dylan St. Clair ever since he climbed into my bedroom window ten years ago.
Wrong window, Romeo.
I was eleven, he was seventeen.
A bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks with a chip on his shoulder and fresh bruises from his latest … fresh bruises from his latest fight, he went on to play the starring role in all my teenage fantasies.
But I always knew he was off-limits. So, over the years I gave up wishing and hoping we could ever be together.
Until he kissed me on a cold beach one starry winter’s night.
Until he said those five words that changed everything.
I picked the wrong sister.

Sweet Chaos is without a doubt one of my favorite reads this year! I FLOVED this book. As I am still fairly new to Emery Rose’s work, I wasn’t entirely sure what I was getting myself into when I picked up this forbidden/taboo tale of the bad boy who falls for his ex-girlfriend’s little sister. And let me just tell you… it was phenomenal! Everything about this book makes it worthy of one of my rare five-plus star reads!!!
Quote: “I pick the wrong sister.”
…I picked the wrong sister.
There was nothing right about this. Except for the way he made me feel.
Quote: We were a cautionary tale of why you should never cross the lines of friendship.
Emery Rose writes an emotionally complex tale that is absolutely stunning. I’m still recovering from reading her words, and I can say that she’s surpassed my every expectation. Sweet Chaos offers readers an intense storyline full of angst, vivid imagery, and unsurpassed passion. Moreover, the story is also insanely hot. Dylan and Scarlett were downright combustible. Their sizzle will straight up ignite your kindle—and likely your panties! Honestly, it’s my advice that when you pick this one up you either have your spouse on standby or your batteries charged!
Quote:
…I chuckled soundlessly at the words painted on her T-shirt: I’m A Little Fucking Ray Of Sunshine.
Damn right she was. The whole damn place lit up when she walked in the door. Her skin had a peachy glow like it did after a good surfing session. She looked downright edible.
Baby sister was all grown up. Small and ripe, curvy in all the right places, with pillow-soft lips so fuckable it should be illegal. She looked like the love child of Deborah Harry and Mick Jagger.
I can’t begin to review this book with the level of skill that Emery put into writing Sweet Chaos. This is an author that will not only have you reading her books once but repeatedly. If you’re anything like me you’ll be binge-reading everything she offers as quickly as you can get your hands on the books. I can’t stress this enough—Emery Rose is exceptionally talented. Her storytelling was truly captivating—I’ve literally never highlighted as many quotes or passages in any book I’ve read. Also, something that I’ve rarely experienced is the level of skill she’s shown in developing the characters in Sweet Chaos. Particularly Dylan’s character. Sweet Chaos had some of the best character progression I’ve read in years. In my experience, the growth her characters showed is something you’d (often) need two books minimum to deliver. Yet, Emery does so brilliantly in one book. I can not tell you how much I loved reading Sweet Chaos. Five-stars does not do this book justice and I can not recommend it enough. Dylan and Scarlett will live on after you’ve turned the last page and you’ll undoubtedly have discovered a new favorite author, much like I have!
Quotes:
I’d seen his smile. It was rare. Fleeting. But it was glorious. Back when I was just a stupid kid, I used to try to coax it out of him, like it was a prize to be won.
He’d gotten into a fight over me, after beating his opponent in the underground fight. I remembered thinking that nobody had ever fought for me before. That was the night I’d fallen in love with Dylan… It was also the night I realized that he would never be mine and I needed to forget him.
Scarlett Woods… she was the sweetest temptation. I slowly dragged my thumb across her plump bottom lip and wiped off the chocolate. Her breath hitched, and her eyes followed my thumb to my mouth. Eyes locked on hers, I wrapped my lips around my thumb and sucked the chocolate off it. “So fucking sweet.”
Her eyes flared. “What are you doing?” she hissed.
Moving my mouth close to the shell of her ear, I whispered, “You deserve better.”
Without waiting for a response, I strode away. Even by my low standards, it was wrong to mess with my ex-girlfriend’s little sister.
But when had I ever done the right thing?
I wasn’t sure when it had happened, but baby sister had become the stuff of my wet dreams.
Dylan St. Clair was about as emotionally available as a rock cliff.
Kissing Scarlett didn’t feel like the prelude to sex, it felt like the main event. I wanted to kiss her until her lips were raw and swollen, and the only word on the tip of her tongue was my name.
I wanted to build a shrine to her pussy. Worship at the altar of Scarlett Woods.
Scarlett brought out all my protective instincts, always had.
She made me wish for something I’d never wanted before. To be the hero in someone’s fairy tale instead of the villain.
He was the perfect storm. Wild. Unpredictable. Impossible to tame or control. A thing of beauty that could wreak havoc. Destroy you if you got too close.
There is something about a man with a troubled past and good intentions. Dylan is a yummy bad boy and I was really excited to learn more about his depth throughout this story. As for Scarlett, she won me over when she interacted with Dylan the night he picked the wrong window. She stood up for what she thought was right and forged her own path and I love that about her. I think both of these characters were just really likable for me, so that made the story that much better. It’s like you just knew they are meant to be, but you just don’t know if they’re going to overcome all the obstacles. I’d definitely recommend this one!
DYLAN ST CLAIR!!! YOU CHARMING & IRRESISTIBLE DEVIL!!!!
He will have your heart rebelling against your mind before you even realize it! See, I first met Dylan back in Wilder Love when he was the heroine’s twin brother. You’d think, oh a side character…then you didn’t get to see all of him right…? Technically, true. Emery Rose left a lot to our imaginations when it came to Dylan in Wilder Love since it was his sister’s love story. But what we did get to see was how determined and goal oriented this guy was. In addition to 100% devoted to his twin sister, no matter how hard life got they always had each others backs! If that didn’t steal your heart then the little glimpses of broken Dylan cinched it. I knew before I started this book that it was going to hurt at some point…most likely more than once. And it did! You don’t get to read someone else’s heartbreak and love story without some feelings getting involved.
Scarlett!!!!! This girl!!!! She was the perfect little package for Dylan, the love that she has to give him…something he has NEVER experienced!!! She loves unconditionally and without hesitation, even when the other person does not deserve it in the slightest! But with Dylan…it’s a game changer kind of situation and if ANYONE in this entire world deserves to experience the kind of love that Scarlett has to give; it’s Dylan St. Clair!! Dylan deserves to have all of that love and more!
I don’t usually talk other characters in negative lights but there are two people in this book that although they played a pertinent part of Scarlett & Dylan’s story..neither of them deserved the love they did get! That’s my opinion and I’m sticking to it…hahaha
I basically devoured this book, it’s one of my favorites by Emery.
**5 sweet chaotic stars**
While this is not my first Emery Rose book it is definitely my favorite. Emery Rose took my heart on a rollercoaster ride I was not expecting. I was expecting angsty and heartbreaking but got so much.
Dylan St. Clair bad boy and ex boyfriend to Scarlett’s sister. But Scarlett Woods has loved Dylan St. Clair since she was 11 and climbed in the wrong window. Dylan loved her sister. When Scarlett’s forbidden fate comes crashing into her life she tries to fight it but fate is just too strong.
Rose delivered this angsty, amazing book. I read it in one sitting in a matter of hours. I could not put this book down. And it was not at all what I was expecting. When I see sister’s boyfriend I think she steals him from her and I almost didn’t read this book. What a tragedy that would have been. Dylan doesn’t know how to do feelings and doesn’t know how to handle love. Yes, he loved Sienna but did he really?
“‘ . ‘ .”
When I read this line in the first chapter I thought for sure Scarlett knew exactly what she was talking about even if she was only 11. Funny how when the time came she couldn’t do the one thing she wanted to the most, go out with Dylan and hold her head high. She was took scared to tell for her to really get it. While Dylan was definitely an asshole, Scarlett was a coward. I’m not saying either were right or wrong but they both made me want to throat punch them.
Emery Rose delivered is enticing, addicting book about two broken people. While they were broken in different ways they were still broken. Dylan’s childhood was rough and he went through things children shouldn’t have to. Scarlett’s family is wealthy, and seemingly perfect from the outside. But let’s face it looks can be deceiving and things are not always as they seem. Growing up and being made to feel less leaves a mark on a person. Growing up in a loveless home as does. Yes, the Woods had money and status and power but they didn’t have love.
Sweet Chaos is an absolutely amazing book. I would recommend this book to any and everyone. It’s hands down my favorite Emery Rose book.

This was a great book. The forbidden relationship thing was really cool and well written. The book is easy to read and a page-turner also. I couldn’t put it down.
Characters feel real and that was super. They are not entirely good or evil, they are shaped by their decisions and those aren’t the best all the time, which made them human.
Starlet and Dylan were amazing. They were good together, bringing out the best of each other. Actually, this topic was one of the main things about this book, how people can inspire you to be a better or a worse self. Doesn’t matter if they are family, they are not always good to and for you.
Nic and Cruz were lovable. Cruz’s sister needs her own book. And Sienna is awful.
This one took my breath away!! The struggles and support! Such a great love story!!
Emery Rose outdid herself with Sweet Chaos (Love and Chaos Book 2). Once I started reading Dylan’s story I could not stop until consumed every last word. Dylan first captured my attention in Wilder Love and I knew then that I was going to have a major book crush on him. Scarlett is perfect for Dylan and their love story is one that I will not forget anytime soon.
Well, this book gets an extra star for setting me off on a Pearl Jam binge that hasn’t ended in days.
This book is sexy looking.
This book is sexy reading.
This book is sexy inside and out.
I’m from San Diego, and this book is such a devilish homage that it tickles me to review it.
Dylan St. Clair grew up never having much of any value to anyone other than his twin Remy. That is until he grew into his pretty and sexy phase, and rich trophy wives and rebellious daughters found a purpose for him. It’s easy getting lost to demons when they are the only thing that looks back at you in the mirror, and no one recognizes you for who you are anyway. At least it was like that for Dylan until an eleven-year-old girl scared him straight while he was attempting to sneak into her sister’s bedroom window. Scarlet Woods saw a broken boy when everyone else saw a tool.
–Okay, so I have a book crush. Like the entire book, I am crushing on this book. I love that Emery Rose got how my region talks correctly. We use ‘dude’ as a noun, verb, adjective, adverb, profanity, warning, a term of disbelief, and form of endearment. It’s an entire vocabulary. And while this story takes place north of me, SoCal beach community below LA County is a channel of intermittent neighborhoods ranging from private-filthy-rich to meager-public-beach or nude beach even.
But if you read this book, you are reading us, as in SoCal. And Scarlet Woods is the everygirl, and you should love how Emery Rose portrays her. Of course, that doesn’t mean Scarlet doesn’t make me want to smack her with her neverending back and forth–Will she do this? Won’t she?
Scarlet is a Riot Grrrl until there is need for a riot, and then she is more of a passenger–but I love her for being able to put up with Dylan because he’s a handful of dirty that I respect a girl holding.
I want people to read this book! Do it!
This book really hits you in the feels and it won’t apologize. All of those feels had my heart beating just a little bit faster and it was so worth it! This story is something special.
I fell so in love with the author’s writing style. It was so natural, smooth, and inviting. The narration was beautiful and the flow was perfect. I’ve never felt more at home than reading through the pages of this book. The plot of this story was so well crafted. It took my breath away. It was ingenious, really. It was riveting and so addicting.
These characters are ones that you can feel through your every fiber. The author writes them in such a way that you feel everything. These characters felt like more than just characters in a book. The author makes them come alive in the story. Both Dylan and Scarlett were exceptional characters. They both had so many layers and were so full of depth and personality. Their character growth through the story was really amazing. The secondary characters are so vibrant. I loved seeing Remy and Shane again and I liked the newer secondary characters that were introduced. I hope that we are able to see more of them in other books.
The romance in this book was explosive. The idea of soulmates and kindred spirits really rings true for Dylan and Scarlett. There was so much messed up stuff in their lives but they were so unapologetically perfect for each other despite all of it. What I loved most about their romance was how they fought for one another and believed in one another no matter what. They had such swoon-worthy chemistry to top it all off.
Overall, this is a story that I felt deep in my bones. This is a story that will pull you in and capture your heart. This is a story that is full of heartache and just a gamut of emotions. But there is also love and acceptance. Finding the one person in the world that truly sees you. This series has been incredible and I just want to scream from the rooftops how much I love it!
Sweet Chaos is yet another amazing Emery Rose emotional rollercoaster romance that will stay with you long after you turn the final page. Dylan St. Clair is featured prominently in Wilder Love, book one in the series. In Sweet Chaos, we get a chance to dive deep into this complex man. Nothing ever comes easy for him so why should the taboo romance between him and Scarlett be immune. Emery is the master of pacing, writing emotional scenes that will have you crying one chapter, and swooning the next. This book is everything – love at first read. Grab it today.
Book two, Sweet Chaos, in Emery Rose’s Love and Chaos series brings just as much sorrow, angst and a couple worth investing in just like the first book in the series, Wilder Love.
Dylan St. Clair is a thing of beauty even as his life was shadowed by pain and ugly realities. While fronting a bad boy image this character’s actions spoke volumes and proved he was hero material despite the lengths he went to in order to not acknowledge it. Scarlett as a heroine was commendable as a loyal friend but as Dylan’s soul mate she was incomparable. She was the real deal and was true to Dylan even before they were even a possibility as a couple. Giving up a life of privilege, who’s strings were too high a price to pay, Scarlett put herself on equal footing with Dylan before there was a potential we in their equation.
Timing proved to be this couple’s hurdle as age and circumstances were a significant barrier to their being able to act on connecting. Theirs was a forbidden love as they struggled against the agendas of other’s to their own detriment, tortured by their trying to do the right thing. When they did capitulate to their mutual attraction, it was intense and steamy and they found that it ran much deeper than the physical and proved that it was a force beyond their control. These two characters were so solitary in their lives journeys that their finding each other was genuinely touching even in their struggle in the acceptance of their being together.
Emery Rose writes another powerful and emotional story in Sweet Chaos. Her writing is fierce and filled with dark feelings that show the depth and power of her characters hard won happiness. She finds strength from deep within her portrayals and is not afraid to introduce them to tragedy.
Sweet Chaos adds another well-written work to the highly recommended Love and Chaos series, giving readers lots to explore and to get caught up in!
*I was given an advanced copy. All opinions expressed are my own.*
*While part of a series this book can be read as a stand alone.*
This was my first Emery Rose book but it definitely won’t be my last! The story itself had a good flow and pacing, the right amount of angst and tension that was well balanced with a cast of characters that had strong development from start to finish. Individually, both Dylan and Scarlett were characters that had quite a few layers to them, and seeing them peeled back over the course of the book was great. But once they were together in the same orbit? Absolutely fantastic!
/ : Sweet Chaos (Love & Chaos Book 2), book number two of the Love and Chaos series by Emery Rose. Although Sweet Chaos IS standalone to better the reading experience I would suggest reading Wilder Love (Love and Chaos Book 1) prior. This is the second book I have read from Emery Rose, the first being the companion book, Wilder Love. As much as I enjoyed Wilder Love, Shane and Remy’s story I knew I was in for a treat with Sweet Chaos and the brooding bad boy twin brother finally getting his happy ending. Rose has me ready to run off to California any day now! I was enthralled after reading Wilder Love, but after reading Sweet Chaos, I’m completely hooked! Emery Rose has a new fan for sure!

() : Dylan St. Clair is the perpetual broody, mysterious, bad boy. Dylan was forced to grow up fast and that has shaped the kind of man he is now. He’s still broody and moody and he doesn’t talk much but he’s loyal to a fault and he takes care of and fights for the people he loves. He just needs someone to fight for him for a change. When I first realized Dylan’s love interest was Scarlett and NOT Sienna, my jaw dropped. But now that I’ve read their story, I couldn’t be happier. Dylan and Sienna’s relationship was toxic. It wasn’t good for either of them. Plus, Sienna could never have loved Dylan enough to break down his walls, not like Scarlett does. I loved watching Starlet help him peel back his layers. Plus that dirty mouth of his… SHEESH! Dylan Freakin St Clair is exactly the type of character I love, even though he’s a millionaire now he still wears ripped jeans and combat boots. It can’t get any hotter than that.
ℎ ℎ ’ ℎ ℎ ℎ ℎ. ℎ. ℎ ℎ ℎ ’ .
() : Scarlett ‘Starlet’ Woods comes from a wealthy family but unlike her big sister, Scar has always marched to the beat of her own drum. As the “black sheep” of her family, Scarlett had always felt second best to her sister, unwanted, invisible. Now that she’s twenty-one she has been financially cut off by her father because she refuses to conform like her sister did, and making a living out of the art that she’s passionate about. I adore Scarlett! She’s an independent rebel and I admired her for it! I love that Scar was soo uniquely HER! She chose not to conform like her sister did just for an easier, cushier lifestyle. She was perfectly fine with working hard for what she had as long as she could do things HER way and not have to follow the line. She’s a sweet girl but sassy enough that she wasn’t going to take Dylan or anyone else’s crap.
ℎ . . . . ℎ ℎ ℎ. .

/ : Emery Rose sure knows how to write steam! Although I don’t consider Sweet Chaos as “taboo” I can definitely see that it has a forbidden-ish feel to it because of the whole “my sister’s ex-boyfriend” aspect but that and the fact that they were sort of sneaking around just made things that much hotter between them. Dylan needed someone exactly like Scar that would love him hard, and love him enough to break through those stone walls he had erected and that’s exactly what she did. Although these two were supposed to be wrong for each other, they were so entirely right. The sexual tension between them was on fire from the very beginning, and once they finally collided sparks flew! Plus, did I mention Dylan’s dirty mouth? Sheesh, that man will have you losing your panties in a heartbeat!

: I loved catching up with Shane and Remy and seeing their little family come together. They BOTH deserve it and my favorite parts of this book were seeing the bond and relationship between Dylan and Remy. I wish my own relationship with my brother was even half what theirs is.
ℎ . ℎ , ℎ, ℎ .
: Nope, no cliffhanger. It takes a bit of heartache but Dylan and his Starlet finally get their happily ever after. P.S. – I freaking HATE Sienna. I saw some reviews asking whether she was getting a story or not, just an FYI, I’m totally fine if she isn’t. P.S.S. – I NEED Nicola and Cruz’s story!
…ℎ ℎ ℎ ’ . ℎ ℎ ’ ℎ .
Sweet Chaos has everything you look for in a romance. It’s sweet, funny, just enough angst and drama, smoking hot steamy scenes, amazing unforgettable characters, and a well-developed plot that keeps you intrigued from the very first page. I highly recommend checking out Sweet Chaos, as well as Wilder Love. Again, if you haven’t read Wilder Love yet please go check that one out first. Even though Sweet Chaos CAN be read as a standalone, you will miss out on quite a bit of Dylan’s back story and just how tough things were for him and I think that’s important to really understand his character and why he is the way that he is.

These two characters, Dylan and Scarlett are everything! I had been waiting and wanting badly to read Dylans book and it really was so worth the wait for this. I am absolutely freaking in love with this story and I just couldn’t put down at all. These two really are perfect for each other and I completely adored them.
With Sweet Chaos Emery Rose has once again given us a love story that brings all the intensity, passion, heartbreak, and romance you can handle. Dylan and Scarlett grabbed hold of my heart, and won’t be letting go any time soon.

*************************
I have been waiting for Dylan’s story since I read and met him in Wilder Love, and he did not disappoint. I loved how this story was written. Emery Rose pulled me in from the first page. Dylan and Scarlett’s story wasn’t an easy journey, but it was easy to get lost in. Scarlett is our rebel heroine. Despite coming from a wealthy background, she’s down-to-Earth and lives for what she wants and needs out of life, not how her snobby parents expect her to live. She’s smart, talented, creative, and possessed an optimism and zest for life that never wavered. I loved that she had no hesitation in defending Dylan to anyone, and that she believed in him so strongly, in spite of the fact that he gave her several reasons not to with his a$$hole behavior. I did get a little annoyed with her towards the end, because even though Dylan was difficult, it seemed like she was running away. I also felt she gave people (i.e. Ollie and Sienna) way more credit and place in her life than they deserved. That said, I thought she was perfect for Dylan and exactly what he needed to realize the man he always was. Now, Dylan St. Clair is a hero worthy of swooning. I adored him. This book may be about him and his Starlet, but he took center stage. At least, he did for me. He could be an a$$hole, no doubt. And his difficulty in opening up about anything made the task seem impossible. But watching him learn to trust in Scarlett’s belief in him and trust her with his secrets was heartbreaking, sweet, and intense. He starts to see he’s not just that poor kid who did anything and everything to protect and care for his mother and sister all of his life. He’s smart, successful, and has a family that loves him. Dylan is an intensely complex character that you can’t help but fall for. I liked him with Scarlett, too. They are from different backgrounds, but fit together naturally. That doesn’t mean their journey is smooth, though. While Scarlett was the perfect person to show Dylan the man he is, he was also the perfect person to believe in her, too. Overall, Sweet Chaos was an unforgettable read. I loved the storyline, and know I’ll be thinking of it for weeks, maybe even months to come. I also already want to reread it. I loved seeing Shane and Remy again. I also loved Scarlett’s best friend Nicola. She was fun and supportive and although we didn’t see much of them, I wouldn’t mind getting a story on her and Cruz. Sadly, I didn’t care for Ollie or Sienna in this book. I wasn’t a huge fan of Sienna before, but she cemented her place in my mind here, and Ollie didn’t deserve Scarlett. Emery Rose has the ability to make me feel everything. I laughed, cried, and swore. It’s an emotional read, but Emery did a fantastic job writing it, and my only complaint is that I want more. Getting Dylan’s story always felt inevitable or else the story that started with Shane and Remy just wouldn’t be done. Now, we have the conclusion we were missing, and it’s easily slid into a top read of 2020 for me.
~~TOP 10 RECOMMENDED~~
Oh my God in one word Emery Rose and her latest, Sweet Chaos just shredded me in every way, WOW. I love a bad boy redeeming second chance stories and boy Emery Rose just knocked this one to the park. From the start seeing Dylan crash into Scarlett’s window he had my heart and the whole starcrossed romance between these two really got me. Scarlett always been in love with Dylan and she has always been in his heart as well. Seeing these two reunite was beautiful, sexy but most of all magical in a way that they complete each other. We have friendships, evil villains aka Simon Woods but most of all a young girl knowing real love for the first time and a young man seeing he is worthy of real love as well. Loved it and highly recommended.
“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”
I love a good forbidden taboo book and Sweet Chaos did not disappoint. This book is full of twists and turns and I was intrigued from the get go. I needed more of Dylan!! The drama and angst in this book kept me on my toes and wanting to know what was going to happen next.
Scarlett is a free spirit, but is not one to back down. She’s loud with a big personality and knows what she wants. Who knew what she wanted happened to be her sisters ex-boyfriend. Dylan is an amazing character. It was always him and sister against the world after their mother always put them in crappy situations. When these got together it was like neither of them knew they were exactly what the other one needed. Even through all of the obstacles and chaos I love how these two were determined to weather the storm together. This is a must read book!
This deserves 4.5! It was so heartbreaking, but the ending was so freakin’ beautiful, my heart melted!!
When Dylan climbed on the wrong window, Scarlett has fallen in love with him. But he was with her sister, even though their father would never approve of Dylan. Years after that, they met again and Dylan become a successful businessman. When he saw Scarlett again, he knew that he had picked the wrong sister. But it was definitely not easy for them to be together, when Scarlett’s dad is hellbent on ruining Dylan’s business.
Emery Rose was a new to me author, and I’m really glad I get to read this one! This is a definite must read!
Emery Rose – Sweet Chaos
.
Forbidden romance. Loved you for years.
“What are we, Dylan?”
“We’re everything, Starlet. Every-fucking-thing.”
Their relationship felt natural. I loved reading the forbidden aspect of this story. None of it made me feel like it was wrong or bad, and I think that was all down to the writing. Their relationship was a beautiful progression, from denying their chemistry, accepting the connection, then dealing with all the fallback and realising what they have is worth the fight.
Nobody had expected a punk like me to make good and that made the victory taste so much sweeter.
We had two likeable characters. Dylan has such a kind heart. Hes misunderstood and broken. Hes come so far from being the abandon child that resorted to dumpster diving to provide food for himself and his twin sister. Scarlett has had a crush on Dylan since she first met him. She fought and tried to move past it but those feelings have evolved over the years. Scarlett has always been second best to her perfect sister, and is in constant battle with her self esteem. She despises everything her family stand for. Shes independent and is true to what she believes in.
Dylan St. Clair was chaos. And chaos always left a trail of destruction in its wake. I just never expected it to be my heart he destroyed.
For someone who finds it hard to convey emotions and is closed off such as Dylan, Scarlett was his perfect counter part as she had her heart on her sleves, and just said it how it was.
“Everyone needs someone who believes in them. I believe in you… Just like you always did for me, even when I didn’t deserve it. Even when I didn’t acknowledge it, I saw you, Scarlett. I always saw you.”
A beautiful love story of two broken people evolving into better people through the power of love. It showed me how it takes more than love to save a relationship. I especially loved that they grew up being somewhat friends before their relationship transformed.
Warning: child neglect, suicide, mental health.
This book has so much going on in it and I don’t just mean the action and emotions but this book gets under your skin and makes you think deeper about the characters and their complexities.
This book doesn’t go how you expect it to and I love it for that. The storyline is unique and interesting and has characters with so much depth that you really enjoy finding out more about them and their own journeys.
Brilliant read!!
