I really enjoyed this book from the moment that I started reading it! The good storyline and wonderful characters kept me totally enthralled until the turn of the very last page!
I love this book because it’s a sweet small-town love story between two people who the town didn’t think needed to be together. She was from town with money and he lives on the outskirts without money. But in the end they show everyone that it’s not about where you are from but about who you are and they found love in each other. This journey for them also changes them and makes them better people with eyes wide open. I have it 5 stars because it’s a sweet small-town romance.

Ethan would like to be known as a rescuer, a hero saving the town – instead of just a boy from the outskirts of town.
Lydia would like to be more than daughter to the mayor. Funny how her mom cannot seem to understand that a secretary arranging lunches and dinners for the two of them is off putting. Is it the Mayor asking, or her mother?
These two never quite fit exactly in a big city, and both stand out in Sweet Blooms.
Do they really fit together?
Sweet romance that helps both navigate self and surroundings

I just didn’t want it to end. I just fell in love with these characters and getting to go along on their journey. I can’t wait to read more wonderful stories from this author.
Ethan is an outsider that lived on the outskirts of town.lydia is the mayor’s daughter. Ethan returns to sweet blooms to save the Town. Lydia is a lawyer can they work together to make sweet blooms a better place to live
4 out of 5 stars
What do you do when you want to get out from the people that have labeled you . Lydia Mason just wants to break out from under her mother who is the mayor of the small town where they live . Ethan was born on the wrong side of the tracks basically . No one in town wanted to associate with them . All he wanted to do come back and prove to everyone that he was much more then the poor kid from the outskirts . They will soon learn that the place they are trying to run away from is the exact place they need to be .
The characters in this story are well written . Ethan is well he is the kid that just wanted more out of his life . He is tall and sexy and can charm you right out of anything . But deep down inside though he is still the kid from the outskirts that just really wants to belong . Lydia is a little naïve because she has been living under her mother’s shadow for her whole life . She just wants to get away and become her own person . As you dive into the book we see that Lydia actually grows and blossoms as the story goes along . She really comes into her own . She can really make Ethan think about what it means to be part of Sweet Blossom .
This is a sweet read and you get to see the characters fall in love slowly . The author has a knack of taking characters and letting them just fall in love naturally . This book can hit home for anyone who has wanted to get out from their past . It is a fast read that would be great for an afternoon for the beach or pool side . So if you want a sweet read for your summer reading list check it out .
Small town love
I love small town romances, probably because I grew up in a lovely little town myself. This book is a prequel to the series. I’ve already read a couple of the books in this series and found this prequel to fit right in. I really like the characters and the way they grew together as they overcame past social barriers and prejudices.

This book is so amazing. She is the daughter of the mayor bent on making a name for herself and he was the town outcast bent on proving them all wrong. They weren’t looking for love, yet maybe with each other they can have love and everything else they want as well. Everyone should read this book.
Sweet Blooms is a small town, separated in two for a long time into the Blooms and the Outskirters.
Ethan was an outskirter who made it out of town and start a successful career. When he returns at mid 30, he owns about 75% of the land in town and has plans to develop Sweet Blooms, bringing it into the modern world.
Lydia, the mayor’s daughter is worried about his reasons, why he wants to help and wants to correct his view of the town. Falling for each other had not been on the plan…
A nice small town romance, with its typical ups and downs. It also is the first book of the Sweet Blooms Series from the chronological point of view.
I really enjoyed the story. it was entertaining and engaging.

Sweet Attraction
Great characters and a really easy and interesting story to get pulled into, It is so easy to imagine this happening in any small town situation
Ethan is the boy who made good with his life.Lydia was the girl who was so high above him during his high school days.
In this reverse Cinderella Story, Lydia is like the town princess with an overbearing mother, who is also the mayor. Her mother has many great expectations for Lydia’s life. Meanwhile, Ethan has a father who would hold his down.
I enjoyed this story of growth, acceptance, and breaking free of others’ expectations.

This is the prequel to Love Happens Series and I know I want to read the rest of the books in this series. This is Lydia and Ethan’s story it is about two people who grew up on different sides of Sweet Blooms. Lydia is the Mayor’s daughter and Ethan grew up on the wrong side of town, but he now owns most of it. They will have to overcome a lot before they get their happy ending especially as there are a lot of people trying to keep them apart. The small town of Sweet Blooms is in trouble. Ethan Young, a successful realtor -the boy from the outskirts of town who left to become “someone”, returns with a plan to save his hometown. Lydia Mason, daughter of the Mayor , convinces Ethan to pose as her boyfriend so the townsfolk wouldn’t recognize him. As Lydia shows him the great things and people of Sweet Blooms an undeniable attraction forms between the two. Their budding romance doesn’t please everyone and it’s this conflict that makes this novel shine. A lovely, sweet romance with great characters. I highly recommend pouring yourself a cup of coffee, breaking out some chocolate and enjoy your visit to Sweet Blooms.
A sweet small town romance.
Two characters from different backgrounds find themselves falling for one another despite their differences. The more time they spent together the more others try to tear them apart.
The characters were refreshing and enjoyable to read. I loved how they overcame the obstacle together and became better and stronger for it.
Love this book! Young love between two people who weren’t meant to be together, at least according to their pasts. Ethan came from the wrong side of the tracks in Sweet Blooms without money and left town after graduation to prove he could be someone. Lydia is the daughter of the mayor, grew up in town and had money but she will always be the daughter of the mayor. Years later Ethan has returned as a successful realtor and is buying up any properties he can in the town of Sweet Blooms. He and Lydia start working together for the town and fall in love in the process. A sweet love story, great characters, a book you won’t want to put down.

A sweet romantic story about the boy on the outside of town and the girl that he loves even though she has no idea about it. Ethan Young leaves Sweet Blooms to find more then what is around him. Lydia Mason doesn’t know who he is when she first meets him but find out the both want to save Sweet Blooms. The characters are well written, the story flows with them.I love this book
This is a sweet story about two small town people who find sometimes what draws us together are the simplest things.
For Ethan and Lydia their upbringing and social status were miles apart when they attended school together.
Years later Ethan returns to his home town with a business proposal. Is it possible that after seeing Lydia he might have a different kind of proposal in mind?
I liked all the characters in this book. They were real people with real issues. Not paper doll people.
The relationships had room to grow and gave authenticity to the events in the story. Great book.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I did also purchase a copy.
I had a difficult time reading this. I’m not sure why I couldn’t follow it. Was it the author’s fault or mine? I really don’t know. But the premise of “pretending” to be together to show him around and not tell the townsfolk he was born and raised in the “outskirts” really didn’t make since to me. Also the fact that he legally purchased the bulk of the town and she wanted him to give the property back. That didn’t make sense at all.
A sweet smalltown romance about two people who come from different backgrounds and fall in love. Lydia is the daughter of the mayor and Ethan is not as privileged and comes from the outskirts of town. He left town after high school and comes back after he made a good life for himself. Lydia shows him around and helps him out after he comes back to town, and as they spend more time together, they start to fall in love. It’s not easy for them as other are trying to tear them apart. The characters were wonderful and I loved getting to know them. It was nice to see them overcome the obstacles together and become stronger for it. I love reading about small town romances and this one was very well-written. I really like the writing style and I look forward to reading more by this author.
