Great read with fabulous characters and super hot sex!!
Sweet addiction is my first book by J.Daniels.. it was good, sexy, light and funny!! definitely a great read for the Holidays..
Dylan loves to bake, her life revolves about wedding cakes and pastry that make her feel happy and content with her life, but soon everything will change, after delivering a cake and attending to her ex-wedding life will never be the same, bringing her things she wasn’t expecting or even wanting..
“I want you, Reese. Just you, and not at all in the stupid casual bullshit way. I want everything. Sleepovers and sex in beds. All kinds of beds. Yours, mine, whoever’s.”
Resse is handsome and successful, he is known for not having any serious relationship, his life was his business and nothing else.. he wasn’t looking for anything or anyone but soon things will change so drastically that he won’t even see her coming..
“You make me want different things, things I’ve never wanted before.”
Dylan and Resse kept fighting their feelings the whole book, they kept lying to themselves because they were so afraid to say what they really felt!! they didn’t want to lose each other or even lose what they have so they kept lying and pretending for months until things went south and they no longer were able to continue with this farce..
“No, we’re not a couple. We’re monogamously casual.”
One of the things that I love about the story is how everybody around Dylan and Resse was so aware of how much they love each other, about their feelings and needs but they kept denying them until the end.. until there were no more lies to say ..
“One hundred and thirty -two days. That’s how long I’ve loved you.”
There’re so many great secondary characters that complement this story bringing so much to the main characters and even making it more enjoyable..
Good story, good characters, I really enjoyed this book!
I loved the humor and the personality of the characters, and how they all complimented each other throughout the book.
Liked the characters, descriptions of the characters personal appearance and surroundings.
I really enjoyed Sweet Addiction. Loved both Dylan and Reese with his dirty mouth. Yes. I couldn’t get enough of it.
This ones in my favorite list. Fantastic!
A whimsical romance that started in a nonconforming way. Two people who differ in what is happening between them. A Baker business owner and an accountant who have sex like newlyweds. With out their own wedding.
All sex throughout the book. Fuck this; Fuck that. Pretty predictable ending but I didn’t put it down. Good beach read.
Loved this book
This book is sweet, sexy, swoony I can’t put it down.
When I began to read this i was first a bit hesitant about the characters, but it got good fast, and I really begab to the main characters and their chemistry. Appreciated the easy going ending.
Absolutely awesome.
Absolutely loved this book and left me wanting to read the restaurant of the books in the series!

I feel like a horrible reader. This series has been on my kindle for years and I’m just now getting around to reading it. Better late than never.
The plot was fun. Seriously hot too! And the drama…shew! There was alot of it but that kept it going.
For the characters, I loved Reese. He was swoonworthy, sweet, and protective. The perfect man really. As for Dylan, I honestly had a love/hate relationship with her. She’s funny one minute, loving the next, and pure insane after. She also has a hitting problem which got very annoying.
I am going to on to book 2 but I really hope Dylan has her smacking out of her system.
SWEET ADDICTION by J. Daniels is a romantic comedy high on sex, swearing and random violence, but low on plot and character development. In a nutshell: Girl meets boy, girl slaps boy, girl shags boy, girl ignores boy; repeat and rinse. And neither the girl nor boy is very likeable.
Dylan is portrayed as an independent woman running her own bakery. Frankly, she couldn’t run a bath. We first meet her as she is getting ready to go to her ex’s wedding (as you do) looking to get laid. This woman won’t sleep with married men but doesn’t mind slutty wedding sex with a stranger. Or without a condom. She claims she only ever did “it” with her ex, and that was missionary-style un-orgasmic rubbish. However, as soon as she meets Golden Balls Reese, she becomes an uninhibited seductress with a sudden knowledge of all things erotic.
Reese is an alpha-male accountant who is into casual sex until he meets Dylan. Then he turns into Mr Possessive and throws hissy fits if Dylan so much as thinks about another guy. He also has strong views about male masseurs; insecure, or what? But we never discover much more about him, apart from the size of his trouser snake, which is enormous, natch.
The story is written in the present tense, which took some getting used to. This style can rob the narrative of tension, and this book needs all the drive it can get with its write-by-numbers plot stuffed with:
• A super-hot heroine with low self-esteem
• A super-hot hero who only needs to meet the right woman to change his tom-catting ways
• Sex scenes
• Gay best friend
• Sassy straight friend
• Dialogue that would make a 14-year-old blush
• More sex scenes
• Heroine’s horrible ex
• Hero’s stalker ex
• Contrived misunderstandings and communication breakdowns
• Even more sex scenes
• 500 variations of the eff word
I hate to give a bad review, but this book did not do it for me.
I really enjoyed this book even though I wanted to shake Dylan for most of the book. She was on top of her game except when it mattered. I loved Reese! I wish he would have spoken up sooner on how he felt about Dylan, but what would the fun in that be 😉 I really loved how their relationship came full circle at the wedding. I really enjoyed JoJo and “dammit Billy!”
I absolutely loved this book! Finally, real (and hilarious) characters in a real life scenario. Throw in the romance, drama and sex and it’s a wonderful story!
I did not want to put this book down. It was hilarious, hot, and romantic. I loved it!!!!
This was my first J. Daniels read (audio!) and I will come back for more. The chemistry and banter between the two main characters was scorching hot and hilarious. The secondary characters made it that much better! The plot of “will something more come out of a wedding hookup” is a fun one–I can’t help but enjoy it. There are some unique twists too! Honestly, I would have given it 5 stars but the heroine kind of drove me crazy…although I suppose I liked her enough. LOL. 4 stars for Sweet Addiction.
Too Crude–didn’t finish
