These drivers got #swag… her reputation.
Racing is his passion.
Trouble follows him everywhere. Some even say he invites it.
When you’re nipping at the taillights of the best driver in the new NRR,
you have to fight and claw for each and every success.
It’s never been easy for Lorhaven.
That’s why he doesn’t play by the rules.
He’s a man with a serious chip on his shoulder against the pro racing circuit.
We at GearShark want to know what’s up with that.
We’ve also been hearing rumblings…
of a pro who wants to go indie.
We’ve invited racing royalty and the driver from the wrong side of the tracks to sit down and talk to us about a possible crossover.
We expected sparks to fly when Joey and Lorhaven crossed paths.
Will those sparks ignite into a full-on inferno?

I have really enjoyed the entire series!! Great reads, quick and unique to each relationship and situation. Frequently, I see a writing trend in an author and every relationship follows it somehow — but that is NOT the case!! The author did an amazing job applying every character and their personalities to the relationship(s).
I listened in the Audible unlimited package 🙂
This was a surprise that I really enjoyed!
My first experience with this author was #Junkie, the first book in this series, and I fell in love! I love reading MM romance and Trent and Drew quickly became one of my favorite couples. So, I didn’t know what I would find with my first MF romance by the author. I really didn’t like Lorhaven in previous books and I had a lot of doubt that I would like him with Joey, who I absolutely loved. I quickly found out that he was my favorite kind of male hero. He was a hard core jerk hiding a really good man on the inside. Joey was perfect for him and vice versa. I really loved her. She was so strong and badass. She was a woman driving in a man’s world and industry. I really liked the way the author weaved a story in and around the misogyny that Joey faced in the racing world. The way her struggle came to a head towards the end of the book was just about the BEST scene I’ve ever read in which a character takes back her power! I truly enjoyed this story and I do not plan on wasting any time jumping into Arrow and Hopper’s story. I’ve been dying for Arrow to find happiness since first being introduced to him.
After seeing Lorhaven as a villain in the first book of the series and then seeing him turn down the villainess in the second book, it was really nice to see him turn into the good guy in this third book. The love and concern he had for his brother was perfect and that same love and concern he pushed toward Joey was beautiful. Joey being the strong willed woman she was, wasn’t having any of Lorhaven’s softness in the beginning but she slowly melted as the story continued on. I listened to this via Audible and the narrators were perfect.
I just love this series, this is the 3rd book in the series and is all about Joey and Lorhaven, Jace. I didn’t exactly love Lorhaven in the last couple of reads, but his love and devotion to his little brother gave him some redeeming qualities. I was so wrong Jace was just needing to find his person. Joey and Jace have so much chemistry I thought my kindle was going to sweat. He really shows his huge heart, but only to Arrow and Joey.
Joey, that woman had it pretty rough in this book and refused to show weakness, in a man’s world. She is so strong but to see her break and realize it ok, uh I loved her more. Lots of fast cars, insta-love, HOT chemistry, and a tenacious heart
This was a great story and I did enjoy it, not as much as other books but it was still a good read 🙂
Joey G. had a chip on her shoulder and something to prove.
I thought this book had some incredible parts (especially the more intimate moments – HOT, some really sad parts and some areas that really challenged me to keep reading.
I loved Joey! She was the heroine we all want to see in a bada$$ love story! And who better to pair her with than the man everyone loves to hate? Lorhaven was the epitome of an over confident, self absorbed and an overall cocky jerk. But slowly she broke down the walls around his heart, just as he did in her.
If you love fast cars and explosive attitudes, this book is for you! In the end I was really happy I pushed through and finished this read. Although it wasn’t on the same level as the first two books in the series, it was still a great read.
It’s official. I have a huge girl crush on Josie. She is so badass, I want to be her when I grow up. I LOVED this book. Loved it! I love the cover, I love Lor, I love Arrow, I love how Lor loves Josie and Arrow and I love that we got more of Drew and Trent. See, I have a whole lotta love for the whole series. The car scenes, I felt like I was sitting right in the passenger seat. So awesome! The chemistry between them….explosive! Oh, I also loved that there wasn’t drama. Just a straight up fantastic and hot racing story. Yay!!!
Can’t wait for Arrow’s book!!
Oh, Cambria. She does it to me every time. I don’t think I have ever read a book written by her that I didn’t enjoy. And this one definitely doesn’t disappoint.
I won’t lie, I was a little worried when I found out that #Rev was going to be the last GearShark book to focus soley on Trent and Drew. I loved my boys and I didn’t want to let them go. I was even more worried when I found out that the third book in the series was going to be about Lorhaven, my least favorite character from the series so far. It’s obvious to me now that I completely pictured Lorhaven wrong. I imagined his character to look almost the exact opposite of what he actually looks like and I have no idea why I got that impression. So I was nervous when I found out that the next book was going to be entirely about him.
And then I saw the cover. And oh em gee, I think I fell for Lorhaven right then and there. I hadn’t even read the book yet but I knew that this cover was perfect. I knew it fit perfectly with the characters and with the story and, even though I love my Trent and Drew, this is my favorite cover in the entire series so far. It’s absolutely beautiful.
#Swag took me some time to read. Not because it wasn’t good but simply because I started reading it around the time that I would be travelling alone with my two year old from Texas to Kentucky. So we had a lot of packing and stress and three cancelled flights and a whole lot of craziness. But I finally got to finish it and it was absolutely amazing.
I’m so happy that Cambria gave Joey and Lorhaven their own book and that she let them come together the way that she did. I think that these two characters had so much to offer each other and were able to help each other in so many ways.
It was interesting to learn more about Lorhaven and what his life was like outside of his rivalry with Trent and Drew. We went from thinking about Lorhaven as a douche bag, to seeing him as an actual human being with real emotions and legitimate issues.
I’m also glad that we got to learn more about Joey. I was curious about her from the very beginning and she brought a lot to the story. Reading everything that she had to go through is, sadly, very realistic in today’s world and I can only imagine what a woman would have to go through in a man’s sport, like Joey did. But she was a strong character with a lot of determination and a knack for self preservation. She was a dainty little princess (not that there’s anything wrong with that) and she knew how to take care of herself. Joey is a very admirable character.
I loved, even more than anything, the further glimpse into the life of Arrow. Other than Trent and Drew, Arrow has been the character to catch my attention and hold my curiosity the most in the GearShark series. It’s hinted in the second book that Arrow has had to deal with some shit and it’s sad to learn what this kid has had to go through (don’t tell him I called him a kid!) and the things he’s had to deal with. It makes me so sad that he, just like Joey, is a fictional character representing a very real problem in our world today. I can’t wait to read #Blur. I know I’m going to fall in love with Arrow and, to be perfectly honest, I have a little crush on him. 😉 I’m excited to see where his story takes him.
Overall, this book was absolutely amazing. A beautiful, heartbreakingly real story with amazing characters that deal with real issues.
