A powerfully moving novel of love, loss, hope, and family from bestselling author James Patterson. Katie Wilkinson has found her perfect man at last. He’s a writer, a house painter, an original thinker – everything she’s imagined she wanted in a partner. But one day, without explanation, he disappears from her life, leaving behind only a diary for her to read. This diary is a love letter … to read.
This diary is a love letter written by a new mother named Suzanne for her baby son, Nicholas. In it she pours out her heart about how she and the boy’s father met, about her hopes for marriage and family, and about the unparalleled joy that having a baby has brought into her life.
As Katie reads this touching document, it becomes clear that the lover who has just left her is the husband and father in this young family. She reads on, filled with terror and hope, as she struggles to understand what has happened.
Written with James Patterson’s perfect pitch for emotion and suspense, Suzanne’s Diary for Nicholas captures beautifully the joys of a new family even as it builds to an overwhelmingly moving climax. This is an unforgettable love story, at once heartbreaking and full of hope.
Very different from this author
sort of sentimental but sometimes we need that between non fiction books
The ending is a real tear jerker, get the kleenix out. But a great story and ending.
Not the best book that James Patterson has written, still, it grabbed you and wouldn’t let you stop reading. It was inspirational, sad and easy to read.
Enjoyed this book, you pretty much know how the story ends, but it is more sad than I thought it would be. The ending does end on a happier note.
Good one but then all of his are exceptional
The story was wonderful and you just got into the characters and of course I cried.
Good romance
This was such a great love story.
Enjoyed
I read this book years ago but I remember it was a good read.
Read in a couple days. Loved the characters and the storyline.
Wonderful read! Well written.
Loved it. Could not but it down.
I don’t usually read love books I am much more into mystery and suspense novels. This book is so unique and it will always be in my heart for the rest of my life that’s how good this book really was
Fast moving, love story.
The author has wound me around his finger again! I loved this story as I loved the characters. Who should I root for? A surprise ending to the diary.
The book had me until the last page this book keeps you from the get go.
Typical Patterson book – (good story) but something different for him.
This is a complete departure from James Patterson’s typical fare, but that is by no means a bad thing. This book captures you from the first page, makes you fall for the characters, and brings you easily to the emotional climax. If you’re like me, don’t forget the Kleenex, you will need it.
