A powerfully moving novel of love, loss, hope, and family from bestselling author James Patterson. Katie Wilkinson has found her perfect man at last. He’s a writer, a house painter, an original thinker – everything she’s imagined she wanted in a partner. But one day, without explanation, he disappears from her life, leaving behind only a diary for her to read. This diary is a love letter … to read.
This diary is a love letter written by a new mother named Suzanne for her baby son, Nicholas. In it she pours out her heart about how she and the boy’s father met, about her hopes for marriage and family, and about the unparalleled joy that having a baby has brought into her life.
As Katie reads this touching document, it becomes clear that the lover who has just left her is the husband and father in this young family. She reads on, filled with terror and hope, as she struggles to understand what has happened.
Written with James Patterson’s perfect pitch for emotion and suspense, Suzanne’s Diary for Nicholas captures beautifully the joys of a new family even as it builds to an overwhelmingly moving climax. This is an unforgettable love story, at once heartbreaking and full of hope.
This story captured my heart.
A real departure from James Patterson usual books. I didn’t like this one nearly as well as Sam’s letters for Jennifer. This was too predictable and just a bit corny. However it was pretty good so probably worth the read time . Pretty short book
You’ll cry reading this one. Loved the story but you’ll be heartbroken.
Good Book but gut-wrenching
Loved it!
Very touching love story!
A cozy night and a book that pulls your heart. Patterson may have made a name for himself in the thriller genre but this original romance is heartwarming and teaches about some heartaches just can’t be explained, but this one does through the diary entries.
This is a good romantic read. I’m surprised that someone that writes such great murder mysteries can write such great romance stories.
I just love James Patterson books. His story just grab you right from the first page through to the last page.
So different from Patterson’s thrillers which I also love. This is a touching story that grabs your heart. The comparison of life to juggling 5 balls is absolutely brilliant, unforgettable to me. It makes you open your eyes and value what is truly important. What wonderful story!
One of my favorite books ever, such a mystery with wonderful characters you fall in love with
Read this book years ago and I still recommend it to friends!!!!
James Patterson had me eager to turn the next page, unable to put this fantastic novel down. I fell involve with the characters, the town, everything!
I’d like to believe I’m a keen reader that can spot a plot twist quicker than most, but not this time. I did not see anything coming at all, but that just makes me love this book that much more.
I loved this book…I could not put it down!!!
Beautiful
Wonderful book. Hated when it came to an end. Never read a James Patterson book I didn’t like but this one was very special.
My first read from this author. Read the book in day. Great story. Something I’m sure everyone will be able to relate to. Fantastic story. Sad and at the same time hopeful.
One of my all time favorite books of his. Very different from his usual thrillers and action books. You won’t be disappointed.
Sappy, sappy,sappy.
This was a beautiful book, from start to finish. I thoroughly loved the story, the setting and the characters. It would be hard to say much without spoiling the story for other readers. I will just say it was so well written that I talked my daughter into buying it (she loved it as well.) Halfway through reading, I ordered it in paperback as a …
