Book 2 in the Surviving Series. Alexander Kincaid Storm III was born of privilege and took the world by fire. Desperate to etch a life as far from father’s empire was his only salvation. He had finally escaped the clutches that entangled his raging soul. Coaxing the good from deep within to grow, he had left the past in the past and began life on his own terms. “What you decide from this day … from this day forward will distinguish you from the man you were, to the man you want to be.”
That is until the beautiful, unavailable Madison Perry taunted him with only a sample of what true love could be. One touch caught him unaware, one look sparked the moment, a smile framed his soul. The day he followed his heart into the abyss, there was no corner in which to flee, no dark place to hide. How could he know it would all go so terribly wrong? How could he know the danger?
Then the unthinkable, life or death.

Surviving the Storm by Virginia Wine is the second book in the Surviving Series and I think it may be my favorite so far. Alex was very appealing in the first book. In this book it his appeal is multiplied a hundred times.
Alex has a giant chip on his shoulder and we learn why it’s there. Horrible childhood memories have a horrible way of sneaking up on you when you least expect it. I love Alex’s relationship with his brother Ben. Ms. Wine captured the brother relationship so well.
Madison is an amazing woman and I’m so glad Theo found her and brought her into his life. She really impressed me and wish more young woman were like her. She seems to love with her whole heart and will do anything for those she loves.
This is a great series so far and looking forward to the next book.
Surviving the Storm, by Virginia Wine, is the second book in the Surviving series. This contemporary romance features Alexander Kincaid Storm III who was introduced as a supporting character in the first book of the series. In this story, Alexander has his work cut out for him and what he wants may not be as available as he wishes. The chemistry between Alexander and Madison is off the charts, though their paths are not easy ones. Virginia Wine continues this wonderful series, continuing to give the romantic feels, but at the same time giving the reader the needed drama and suspense to make this a worthwhile and thorough read.
Surviving the Storm was a great 5 star read and book two in the Surviving Series.
Don’t talk to me about wrong; I know wrong, I own it. I am a man of no scruples, no morales-and certainly no limits – Alex
We start out in the past with Alexander and learning some background on him and his family. We go to present day and of Alex thinking about his one night with his best friend Theo’s sister Madison and wanting more with her. And it was definitely a hot and steamy evening, but there was a huge unexpected twist the next morning. And then she was gone.
Madison is moving to California, she is a fashion designer and is working on her career. She will be closer to her brother Theo, Eden and him. She will be leaving her fiance in New York, yes fiance.
At a party that her friends were throwing for her she sees Alex and he’s in prime form and confronts Madison about her secret and was a complete jerk. Seeing him brought back some memories of their night together. Alex is determined to have Madison for himself and won’t stop until he does. Will Madison break off her engagement? Can they have a HEA?
I loved reading Madison and Alex’s story, I didn’t want to stop until I was done. You feel like your right there with them. Of course their journey had several twist and turns, and we discover that the fiance is someone that is abusive to Madison and makes things very difficult for her. The secondary characters added a great element to the story. If you’re looking for a great read with some hot and steamy moments I highly suggest this series. I can’t wait to read more.
There I was thinking book 1 Surviving Eden was good, but then Virginia Wine totally throws you off by writing an even better book 2. Surviving the Storm is an incredibly captivating read filled with emotion, mystery, action, suspense, passion and much more. For the full experience of this amazing series, these books should definitely be read in order just so you can get the full feel of this series!
You will be left on the edge of your seat wondering what could happen with our main characters that you have instantly made a connection to!
Alexander and Madison’s story is captivating, compelling and thrilling to read, so much so you can’t put the read down until the very end! The emotions you get from the characters are raw and real as though you were there alongside them, but also both of these characters have such depth to them you can’t help but love both of them in some way.
Madison and Alexander have such an amazing connection and chemistry you couldn’t help but hope they got a HEA. It was great getting a further mention of Our main characters from Book 1 they fit into the story and blend Book 1 & 2 together.
This truly has been another incredible addition to this series, and I cannot wait to see how much further this author can take this series! She has outdone herself again and I cannot wait to experience book 3 Surviving Jordan! Until then do not miss this book!
Surviving The Storm by Virginia Wine
4 Stars!!!!
I have to say that I was gripped from the first page of this book till the very end. I like how the author
brings in the past conflict around the main character. I really enjoyed my first read from this author. I know that this is the second book in the series but I am famous for reading books out of order.
I really found myself lured into the Alex’s world. I found that the drama unfolded around the characters and it was like I was part of the world. I found the author’s way of writing the story really draws you in and you find yourself swept away in the drama. I really found myself routing for Alex. The way his past comes into play really adds to the drama. I really couldn’t put the book down as I wanted to see what would happen next. I will definitely be reading more from this author and I must really also read more of this series.
Surviving The Storm is the second book in Virginia Wine’s Surviving series. I had devoured and loved the first book, Surviving Eden, and was excited about reading the second instalment in the series. I’m very pleased to add that I was not disappointed at all by Surviving The Storm. I would definitely suggest that you read the books in order as there are recurring characters and the storyline continues.
We were introduced to Alex and Madison in the first book and from the snippet that we had of the two of them together, I couldn’t wait to see what the author had in store for these two and boy was it a great read. This book has it all. Off the charts chemistry, great sex, suspense, great characters, action packed and a crazy ex determined to ruin everything. This book will take you on a fantastic journey with so many ups and downs, and twists and turns that you just don’t know what’s coming next.
I also loved that we got to see what Theo and Eden, from book 1, got up to. Yet again the author brings in new characters and gives you a little taste of what might be coming in the next book. I’m just so glad that I already have book 3 on my kindle just waiting for me to dive in and see what Virginia Wine has in store for these characters I’ve grown to love.
Surviving the Storm is book two in the Surviving Series by Virginia Wine. I just adored this story as it spoke to me in a totally beguiling voice. I was captivated, stunned and intrigued all at once, and it just got better from there.
Getting to know Alex and Madison was a plethora of various emotions and there are so many words to describe the essence and depths of this story. Arousal, bewilderment, chaos, danger, ecstasy, friction, gentleness, happiness, intensity, jealousy, karma, laughter, mystery, nervousness, opulence, passion, quirkiness, respect, serenity, trauma, ugliness, value, worthiness, yearning and zest for life. A whole alphabet of emotions and events. More than enough to keep a reader insatiably satisfied for hours. A story that is unpredictable and adventurous. 5 stars.

5-stars
Surviving the Storm by Virginia Wine is the phenomenal sequel in the Surviving Series! This is by far my favorite book by this author, I was intrigued by Alex’s character from his first appearance in book 1 so I was beyond thrilled when I started his story. I would highly suggest reading Surviving Eden, book 1, first as this book follows directly where it left off.
Alex and Madison’s story was captivating, thrilling, entertaining, funny, romantic and a true page-turner! I connected with both these characters early on and I felt really invested in their story and I’m so happy with how it turned out.
I would absolutely recommend this series to anyone looking for their next romance read!
I really enjoy the writing style of this author. The chapters are “normal” length and they are broken up with alternating POV or subject change in quick order. It’s a fast great way to read.
This is book 2 in a series and I think it would be best to read the series in order. There are relationships from the first story that continue here and I think it would be more enjoyable to read in order.
The characters continue to develop as the story unfolds. There is a bit of suspense and some twists and turns. The open door sex scenes are easy to skim.
The story held my interest. I will absolutely continue to read the series. I look forward to reading more about of Steel and Gage and the other characters too.
Surviving the Storm by Virginia Win is the second book in the Surviving Series. Virginia Win did not disappoint in this story. She has a great depth of knowledge that allows her to put her emotions into her characters and stories. This is a contemporary romance story with mystery, suspense, lies, secrets and family dynamics all roll up into one book. The story of a guy raised on one side of the tracks falls for a girl on the other side of the tracks could sum it up, however it is much more than that statement. Alexander Kincaid Storm III wat the boy on the right side of the tracks but his father’s world dictates what Alexander was able to do or pursue. Then there was Madison. A girl that swept him up and had he going to a place he has never been before ever, Alexander has to decide if he was going to follow his heart of head with this relationship. Madison was her own person. Her story intertwines with Alexander. She will also have to make some decisions if she really wants Alexander. What would Alexander do? Will Madison think that Alexander is worth everything? Reading their story has some ups and downs.
Surviving the Storm is book 2 in the Surviving Series. This book focuses on Alex and Madison. There is so much suspense and action in this book. It is definitely the best in the series so far. Alex comes from money but he isn’t showy about it. Madison is an independent woman who is getting her clothing line up and running. We know from book 1 that Alex and Madison spent one night together and that she is already promised to marry Graham. So what happens next? You will have to read the book to find out! Theo and Eden are fairly prominent through out this book, so if you haven’t read book 1 you will want to.

I LOVED this book! I have to admit I think I was in love with it before I even started, as soon as I read ‘Alexander Kincaid Storm III’ I was gone! For some reason the name sounds so sexy! There was so much that I loved about this story, the chemistry between the characters, the suspense, the secrets and lies – I just really loved it all! I’m not usually a fan of insta-love it often has me rolling my eyes but I liked it in this story, I’m pretty sure I would have fallen in love with Alex as quickly as Madison did! I loved all of the twists and turns that the author took me on, it was definitely one of those books that I couldn’t put down. I thought the authors writing style was great, the book was easy to read and it took no time at all for me to be captivated by what I was reading.
I am really excited to read more from this series and author again in the future.
Surviving the Storm by Virginia Wine is book two of the Surviving Series. Due to content and language this book is suggested for readers 18+. It is suggested that you read book one first so you get the whole story.
Aww has strived not to follow his father’s footsteps however, being a lawyer doesn’t stack up for his father. Alex doesn’t mind though, he’s glad to be out of his father’s shadow. His line of work is how he meets Madison. There is instant chemistry but Alex doesn’t find out until it’s too late that Madison is unavailable. Alex has never had feelings so strong but will there be a future for him and Madison?
What I enjoyed about this book is while the main focus was Alex and Madison, the book also picked up the story line from the main characters of book one. It’s nice that they didn’t instantly just go to the background. I enjoyed reading the interactions between all the characters. This book takes you on an emotional rollercoaster but it is so worth it! I can’t wait to read book three.
Surviving the Storm by Virginia Wine is the second book in her Surviving Series and it just keeps getting better and better. Following the story of Alexander Kincaid Storm III and Madison Perry and it easily got me lost in the pages. Full of mystery and suspense this contemporary romance will keep you on your toes from beginning to end. From the beginning of their love story, the chemistry is off the charts and the passion between them could short circuit your readers. Madison is the classic unavailable gal, but Alexander’s feelings for her are too strong to deny. The pull between them in undeniable, and yet the future between these two could be uncertain. Can something that burns so hot and fast be something that lasts forever? Wine is a newer to me author, having only found her with this series but I am so glad I picked this one up. The characters are full of emotions, there was steam and mystery and just enough heartbreak to make for a great book. If you are looking for a great series by an author that will pull you in from the beginning and never let go. I can’t wait to see where this series goes in the future. This is a definite must for anyone looking for great steamy romance and mysterious love stories.
Surviving the Storm is the second book in Virginia Wine’s mind blowing Surviving Series. You should not read this story as a standalone as it has all the characters from the first book and you will feel at loss not knowing what had happened and how it all is linked!
Surviving the Storm gives us Alex’ story – Alex Kincaid Storm the third, who we met already in book one. A man who is NOT afraid of his feelings! A man that is the first to say that he is hurting, that he has found something that is so deep under his skin that he cannot imagine letting it go after only one night … And then we have Madison Perry, who is suffering but who still is able to recognize what it means to be truly loved and that just after one night …
The writer gives us insta love, suspense, action, drama, great chemistry, danger and secrets … so many secrets and lies … the story pulls you in and the characters won’t let you go! They bring you along on an emotional rollercoaster and there are moments when you feel that you want off and you simply do not have heart to read more as you experienced along with them what they were going through …
It is a great second book and as I have already read the fourth one (naughty me) then I know that the third one will blow us all out of water as well! Please keep on going and keep us gracing with more stories that remind us of our humanity and the power of love!
I love discovering new authors that become more than just a writer. I’ve realized that Virginia Wine has a beautiful way with words and creating a world where I can get lost within. I found myself loving everything about Surviving the Storm. I felt like I couldn’t let go of the characters, like I was experiencing everything that they were going through. And that, is what I love about reading. Having that beautiful experience that the author meant to do. I can’t wait to see where Wine takes this series, as this book was a definite 5 star for me.
Surviving the Storm by Virginia Wine
Four Stars
Surviving the Storm is the second book in the Surviving series by Virginia Wine. This series should be read in order as characters from the first book are back in this book. Plus you will have the backstory for this great contemporary romance. Alex and Madison are both strong willed characters with character flaws. Will they learn to trust each other to fall in love. This book is full of romance, suspense, action and drama. Alex and Madison have such chemistry, they just need to work through all the secrets and lies. I love the follow-up in this book about Eden and Theo. This is a great series and I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
Virginia Wine has become my new favorite author! I absolutely love this story. Alexander Kincaid Storm III! Wow! I love characters who start out as jerks, who are really just confused and lost. You know those characters that don’t know what they are missing.
Madison Perry is the female main character and doesn’t want to follow her heart. She too is confused and lost. I love these two characters, their adventure, the way they handled the situation throw at them.
I am looking forward to reading more from Wine and recommend that you start reading her too!
Surviving The Storm Surviving Series Book two By Virginia Wine
Five Stars
I really love a man who doesn’t hide from his emotions. Who isn’t scared to be the one who says he hurts first. Alex is a dream and I need him lol. He is a great blend of bad boy, sweet and protective. The way he caters to the people close to him even with all the pain of his past. Madison doesn’t get much approval from me until after the Graham situation. I didn’t like what she did. There is so much about this book that makes me happy. The author gave these characters life. The author made sure that each character had depth and a complete background. I felt like I was walking next to the characters and living life with them. Everything was easy to visualize and steady to read. I felt like this could be read as a stand-alone but I recommend reading the other book just because it’s good.
5 Star
Surviving the Storm( Surviving Series Book 2) By Virginia Wine is a book that will suck you in from the beginning and keeps your attention till the end. There’s just enough mystery and suspense that I was on the edge a few times trying to figure out what happens next. Alex and Madison there is definitely some chemistry between these two. They both have passion for each other but Madison is not available. Alex has strong feelings for her but what can he do? Is there a chance these two can have a relationship? I will say this book had my emotions jumping all over the place I went from being happy to angry to being sad.my heart ached in some ways.i loved this book and the characters. I can’t wait to read more from this Author. She is quickly becoming my favorite.Want to know what happens with these two? I highly recommend reading this book to find out. I do suggest reading the first book in this series if you haven’t already. You won’t be disappointed I know I wasn’t.
