Not that I blame anyone—some days, I hate him … convey how people feel about him.
Not that I blame anyone—some days, I hate him too. Mostly, I’m just lost and afraid, drowning in a sea of betrayal and guilt, wondering how this happened right under my nose.
There’s no choice but to leave. To move clear across the country in a last-ditch attempt to start over.
Transferring to a new school midway through senior year is hellish for most people. For me, it’s a welcome relief—until someone discovers our secret and now everyone knows.
The pointing, whispering, and scathing looks follow me around again, and I’m back to square one. Except, this time, I’m not alone.
Axel, Skeet, and Heath took me under their wing from the minute I arrived here. I’ve no idea why three of the hottest guys in town took any interest in me or why they continue to have my back, but I’m so grateful to have them in my corner.
Because, right now, they’re the only reason I’m not following my brother into an early grave.

HOLY MOTHER OF BOOK LOVERS!
OMG! OMG! OMG! THIS BOOK WAS ABSO-FREAKIN-LUTELY AMAZING AND I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT! This book is an intense suspenseful rollercoaster ride you can’t get off of. I have never read a book that made me cry so hard or feel so many different emotions all at the same time. I couldn’t put it down. It’s heart warming, heartbreaking and heart stopping all at the same time if that’s possible. I laughed hard and I cried harder and I loved every minute of it. Blaire and Ethan are twins and are as close as a brother and sister can be. Ethan is everything a sister could ask for in a brother and Blaire is his pride and joy. He would do anything for her and he does. Unfortunately the unthinkable happens and knocks the residents of Amber Springs on their asses. But that’s only the beginning. Blaire and her parents are left to suffer the consequences. Enter Axel, Skeet and Heath and WOW do they make an entrance. They are 3 big kind, caring, understanding, mysterious and very gorgeous young men and when they meet Blaire for the first time they fall head over heals knock you of your feet in love with her. Their relationship grows into something beautiful though some people think it’s ugly and with everything Blaire has been through she has no faith in humanity anymore and out of fear she fights it at first. Her family has fallen apart and is sinking fast. She finds herself in uncharted territory and her strength is running out. She has been living in fear but when these three come into her life she begins to see a light where there has been none for a very long time. Unfortunately her life takes another hard knock and the guys unintentionally make it worse. I EXTREMELY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO EVERYONE! Siobhan is a new Author to me bu I have fallen madly in love with her writing. As gar as I’m concerned she is my new favorite Author.this book has everything you could ask for in a story. I cannot say enough about it. If you love an emotionally stunning romance novel ou should definitely read this book. Her books will rock your world.
5 heartbreakingly beautiful stars for Surviving Amber Springs by Siobhan Davis. I am a big fan to Siobhan Davis’s writing; she is absolutely amazing. This is another great book from her. This is a reverse harem young adult romance. Blaire has suffered so much at her young age. Blaire’s twin brother does something extremely bad that turns everyone against her and their family. Everyone things he is a monster, but they don’t know the truth about why he did what he did. Blaire and her mom and dad have to move across the United States. Blaire was being tortured and suffering more than anyone knows. One night in the new place she meets Skeet, Axel and Heath. She didn’t know what to think of them at first but soon the relationship between her and them become a lot more. This book is about so much more than just being in love. This is about learning how to cope with everything in your life and trying to find your place. Learning how to come out on top and how to be strong. I loved how everything comes out in the end. How everyone learns about why Ethan did what he did. I love how strong Blaire becomes. I will say to have a box of tissues ready you are going to need them. Also, the epilogue is simply amazing. I loved this book and can’t wait to read more from this author.
She was part of a duo and now that’s lost. Gone in the wind and shes half a person.
One locked door, and the axis of her world tilted before spinning, crashing and destroying everything.
A new start, a hopeful future, and three very different guys that literally crash into her life.
What an amazing read!! This book is most certainly in a league of its own!
If like me you havent read Siobhan before this is definetly THE book to start on!
So much intense emotion, layered around building suspence, and a deep rooted unconventional love.
I’ve not read anything like this before and it completely blew me away!
Tears streamed, my heart shattered and my mind was in bits. But you know what I loved every second of it!
The characters danced upon my heart before stealing it, each one unique with their own issues and quirks.
The bad boy, the star, and the musician come computer genius, which one will be your favourite? whilst I loved them all I learned towards the bad boy more, so I’m claiming him as mine!
I want to thank my friend for recommending I read this, and now I’m paying that recommendation forward.
You..need..to..read..this!! trust me on that!!
A heartbreaking, soul-crushing read!
Let him who is without sin cast the first stone…
I read that prologue and was immediately hooked. That prologue was full of intrigue and left me with many questions, wanting the answers immediately!
The journey this book put me through was rough and so full of hurt and suffering. I was choking and drowning and grieving with the heroine. It felt so real and painful.
Full of angst, suspense, emotion, heartbreak, pain, loss, love and second chances.
Perfect for readers of reverse harem contemporary romances.
This is my first book by Siobhan Davis. I’ve wanted to read a book by her for ages now, but life and a too long tbr list got in the way. I’m glad I finally took the time.
Even though this book deals with some heavy topics I truly enjoyed reading it. I especially loved the relationships between the main characters. I’ve never read a reverse harem book before and I have to admit I quite like it. I think I have a soft spot for unconventional relationships.
I so badly wanted to give this book a higher rating. There isn’t much more I can can wish for in a book. It ticked almost all my boxes. I just can’t really pinpoint where the problem lies.
That been said, I haven’t given up on this author yet. I definitely want to read more!!
Well, she did it again! Siobhan Davis made me bawl my eyes out with Inseparable and she did it AGAIN with Surviving Amber Springs! Which means…this book is amazing! It’s got everything from sorrow and loss to angst and steam to hopelessness and second chance love. The story of Blair and her three musketeer hottie BFFs, Axel, Heath & Skeet, begins with Blair’s move from Amber Springs and follows the development of their relationships over several months. You can honestly feel the love for each other that emanates from these characters from their very first meeting and as it builds and builds, so did my emotions. And when Blair’s demons resurface, the foursome must learn how to cope with each other and the outside world in a way that will not destroy them internally. It gets hard for them and in turn gets hard for the reader, but the way they come out on the other side of everything makes this book beyond a five-star read.
I did not know when to laugh or cry. This book kept me on the edge of my seat. I was happy, then I was mad, then I was sad, then I was happy again.
I wasn’t expecting for this book to be what it turned out to be.
It was really an amazing book!!! I think the author did an outstanding
job with all the issues involved. There’s sensitive subjects that she
wrote not only Blaire having either experienced, or gone through, but also
the other main characters.
Throughout the book you see Amber at first being closed off, and then
starting to open up more even though she’s keeping a lot of secrets secure and close
to her heart. But through it all ,even when she thinks that she’s alone Axel, Heath, and
Skeet ALWAYS have her back,unconditionally.
Be ready to have tissues handy, because this book will definitely give you the feels.
This book was soo deep. So real. So emotional. It touched in matters most don’t dare to write. It was so much though. I just couldn’t imagine all that Blaire suffered through. I loved each of the guys for her for different reasons. It’s tough to read at times just cause it’s gut wrenching, but it’s beautifully written.
I consider myself still new to the RH genre and have so far read stories that had a supernatural/fantasy spin to them. While reading them I thought to myself, “Okay, I can accept the multiple relationships here because it makes sense. There is a reason she has 4 boyfriends” or whatever the number was.
So when I saw that Surviving Amber Springs is in fact NOT in the supernatural/fantasy wheel house but still in the RH genre, I won’t lie..I was a little nervous. Was I still going to be able to “accept” them? Was it going to “make sense” to me?
I have never been let down with a book by Siobhan Davis. She writes on delicate issues but does it in such a way that she isn’t throwing it in your face. She delicately weaves real life, emotions and issues into her story and therefore into your mind and heart, that just continues to leave me amazed.
The way that each of these men heal a separate part of Blaire and how she in turn plays a role in their own emotional growth is powerful.
This book is full of sensitive issues, but as I’ve come to expect from a Siobhan Davis book, the issues are dealt with in such a way that it leaves you feeling changed.
Surviving Amber Springs is the epitome of the phrase “thought provoking”. You are going to read this book and see things from a different perspective (on many issues) and it’s going to leave you changed. For the better.
A book about blair who is about to start a new school after she had to move to get away from everything.
This time she has 3 guys who are there to help her and support her and they are all so different.
The guys names are axel, skeet and heath.
There are many ups and downs in this book, love, betrayal, shock, sadness.
It’s a extraordinary book to read, I highly recommend it.
Too Important to pass up!!!
Have you ever wondered about the family of the person who commits an act of violent crime? Or maybe When Your Family Member Does The Unthinkable. Surviving Amber Springs is not for your average love story, Siobhan Davis took us to the heart of the everyday experiences. The topic is very important, sensitive and controversial issues, but it is real. I was in tears throughout the whole book. I take my hat off to her for always finding a way to communicate what is important by making it one amazing read.
Surviving Amber Springs was my first reverse harem story and it won’t be my last. But this story is more than romance. It touches on real life issues and throw in mystery and suspense and wow! What a great ride. I love books that have all the elements–romance, suspense, mystery, emotional tug of war and characters that jump off the page. This book will stay with you long after you read it.
Siobhan Davis does it again. Another emotionally amazing read. It’s heartbreaking, it’s powerful, and it’s everything you need. Loved this book.
Awesome read! I was completely lost in this moving and highly emotional story from the moment I started reading and couldn’t put it down. Siobhan Davis is a wonderful writer and I couldn’t help but feel Blaire’s pain at the tragic circumstances surrounding her twin brother’s death and at the hellish aftermath she experienced. The love and support she receives from Axel, Heath, and Skeet is just amazing. These four characters have an incredible bond and I loved them dearly. Surviving Amber Springs is one of those unforgettable stories that touch your heart and stay with you forever.
I am voluntarily reviewing an advance reader copy of this book.
So this book covers a lot but it’s so good. I gotta say I was a little lost at first cause I wasn’t sure what Ethan did and the author just kept that a secret for a while. I kept reading though. You have Blaire, who just had her world rocked. She along with her family, are outcast now. They move to a new town for a new start. Things are still tense and hard, especially with the aftermath of the devastion of what happened. Blaire gets befriends Skeet, Heath and Axel. These 4 become a unit. They help keep the bullies at bay and help her heal. Feelings start to happen and more becomes with this group. Love happens and before Blaire knows it, she has 3 boyfriends. Not everyone is cool with this and the past has a way of coming back. This makes Blaire scared despite the guys comforting her. She pulls away but the guys don’t give up on her. I felt so much for her family. I can’t imagine ever being in their shoes and having the entire town hate our family. The truth finally comes out about what Ethan did and why he did it. He had good reasons but there was better ways he could have handled it. It didn’t have to come to killing people over it I guess the good thing is that they are no longer able to hurt girls anymore. This was a great book and I enjoyed all of it. I’m glad I got to read it!
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book
I enjoy reverse harem stories greatly. So I jumped at the chance to read Siobhan Davis story with a reverse harem theme.
I actually enjoyed this story even with it themed in a younger age setting. Blaire is in a relationship with three men from her school Axel, Heath, and Skeet. All of which bring something different to their relationship. Which is always good since you don’t want everyone to just fall for each other and not have a different feel for them.
This book is a good read and should be enjoyed.
Surviving Amber Springs was a great 5 star read.
I am emotionally spent after reading this book. I had my heart broke, stomped on, shocked, put back together only to have it happen all over again and I was only half way through. There is so much in this book, I felt like I had so many stories going on with everything that this poor girl went through. I was a sobbing mess by the time I was done.
Blaire, my gosh where to start with this poor girl. Her world gets rocked right from the beginning. We start with her and her twin brother getting ready for their senior year, things take a big twist when she finds herself locked in her room and can’t get out. Her brother left for school without her. We jump ahead a few months, her brother is gone and she and her parents have moved to another town to rebuild their lives.
I see a beautiful girl in so much pain she can hardly breath. -Axel
Blaire is trying to move on with her life following her brothers death. Her parents are always fighting, her dad has turned to alcohol and she has no friends. The things this family have gone through following what happened is heartbreaking and they have no answers as to “Why”. Blaire is also harboring some secrets that are weighing on her terribly.
In a chance meeting she meets three boys that will ultimately change her life in so many ways. Axel, Skeet, and Heath were godsends for Blaire. These three had such a connection with Blaire and they each brought something different to the table. They also has some of their own issues to deal with and of course they are all hot as heck, Heath of course has a mean girl attached to him thanks to his family which causes bullying issues for Blaire. This is just the beginning…
The things that happen to us help shape the kind of people we become. I’m not going to let one night ruin the rest of my life. – Blaire
There is so much more to this story, I can’t even begin to tell you without giving away things. There are so many twists turns, and secrets. Everytime I turned around there was something else coming at me. There are so many serious issues that are covered in this book, school violence, bullies, suicide, and so much more. With one of the twists I wasn’t sure how things were going to end but I was pleasantly surprised. And wow, it was a heck of an ending, I also loved the epilogue it was great seeing how things turned out and I have to say I would LOVE to see more from these four. This book is definitely going on my top-reads of 2018 list.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
This is my first book by Siobhan Davis and after seeing it recommended in a book group, I thought I’d give it a go.
I went into this book expecting a book filled with teenage angst, the usual drama that comes from high school kids, the constant highs and lows that they go through. What I got was so much different. And more. I don’t want to get into the story because this book deserves to be read without the reader knowing too much. It deals with a subject that’s always made me wonder and the author has done a fantastic job of working that into the story in a sensitive way. Although this is the first book I’ve read by this author after reading Surviving Amber Springs it definitely won’t be my last.
Surviving Amber Springs
By: Siobhan Davis
Incredibly intense read!!!
This book is intense and emotionally exhausting. I started reading this book a few day before Christmas and then stopped had a happy holiday. Picked it back up yesterday. It was just a hard book to get through. It takes you through such a violent situation but once you get through the entire book you’ll understand probably not agree with some choices and cheer for other choices. One thing I guarantee is any reader should go into this book open minded and willing to be taken on a intense read full of so much pain and find 3 people that see beyond pain, shame and humiliation.
Incredibly well written and easy to imagine the pain of this family.
