An exciting mystery. Lovely characters. Ties to a previous book, characters out of time, great backstory for the next book. A steamy scene.

I enjoyed this Regency romance. There is espionage, danger, and a bit of humor. It’s something of a second chance story as the hero pushes the heroine away and hurts her because he thinks his life is too risky and does not want to endanger her. When he has the chance to leave his past behind and be free to pursue his own interests, he tries to win the lady back, but can he get her to give him a second chance after the way he hurt her? This is a sweet, enjoyable romance. The book had some editing errors, but overall was a good read.

A delightful historical romance!
As with all Dawn Brower’s historical romances, “Surrendering to my Spy” is absolutely deligthful! Romance and mystery, time travel and intrigue, all combine together to deliver another great installment in the “Linked across time” series. Not to be missed!

The good storyline and well rounded characters made this book a very enjoyable read! I look forward to reading more from this author!
They are likeable.
This is a well written and very entertaining story.
So many twists occur, so many obstacles to them being together.
My free opinion. Thanks.

I’ve read a lot of books written by Dawn Brower; she has done a great job at writing a fantastic book; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of books her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

Such a delightful story of two people who really cared about each other but the time was just not right. Dominic, Marquess of Seabrook had to be secretive in his occupation. After all he was a spy during the war and it would put others in danger to be too close to him. So he pushed Rosanna away and broke her heart.
But as things change, which they always do, Dom had one last mission and then hopes to come back and win her heart! The only problem is he has to stay at her brother’s home where she lives also to accomplish his job. That is when the adventure begins! Full of humorous moments, intrigue, suspense and of course strong emotions that will have you turning the pages until the end!
I really enjoyed this story and I know you will too!

The fourth book in the Linked Across Time series a well written story that kept my interest until the end. Dominic Rossington and Lady Rosanna Kendall’s story has a man that does not want to tell the woman he loves that he does love her, as his life as a spy could put her in danger. The hero, Lord Dominic, Marquess of Seabrook, some years ago did a reverse Darcy with the only woman he has ever loved, telling her that she was the last woman he would ever marry. In his mind, he was doing this to protect her, as his job as a spy during the Napoleonic wars could put his loved ones in jeopardy. Lady Rosanna, the heroine, took this to Heart, and it has made her a more sad and reclusive young woman. Now, Dominic has one last mission to do, and then he can move on with the rest of his life. He is in great hopes that he can convince Lady Rosanna that they have always belonged together. To complicate matters, his last mission involves him staying as a guest at her brother’s home, where she lives.
Will Dominic be able to repair the damage he caused in their relationship? What exactly is happening at the brother’s home? Will secrets bring them together or tear them apart?
The book has some of the common issues with grammar, punctuation, and usage that are typical in books these days, but this did not detract from the enjoyment of the story.
If you enjoy Regency romance with a little bit of espionage, this may be the book for you.
I did receive a free review copy, but this did not affect my review.
This is a suspenseful and romantic story. Dom is charming, determined, funny and responsible. Rosanna is nosy, naive and impulsive. They loved each other for years, but Rosanna didn’t know how Dom felt. After a fight between them, they have only had harsh words to say to each other, until the day Dom kisses her. That confuses her and makes her mad. Then his job and her life collide. It forces both of them to face their feelings, and their future.
This was a marvelous tale. It tied in perfectly to the other stories in this series. Marvelously written and full of love, intrigue and romance, this story is simply riveting. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
Was slow going for me. First time reading this author’s work and maybe depending on the story, I might read it. Time traveling wasn’t playing a part in this story, thankfully. I stay far away from Time swept or time traveling books, they just giving me the willys for some reason. This story of Rosanna and Dominic has some good clean parts and some just quick overview, Som and her brother James was friends that’s how Rosa met Dom when she was 13, she was basically the little sister of his best friend.
I found this to be a delightful book to read while being a passenger on a 7 hour car drive! First of all, I love that cover!!
Lord Dominic Rossington, a spy for the war office, has always loved Lady Rosanna Kendall, his best friend’s sister, but pushes her away to protect her from the life of danger he leads. After her brother’s death and a few years of not seeing Dom, Rosanna has hardened her heart and when he returns, she wants nothing to do with him. Now that he’s on his last spy job, he intends to woo her and that’s when the fun begins….she’s not going to make it easy for him!!
I really enjoyed the whole plot of this story and it has it all….intrigue, kidnapping, suspense, romance, etc.

WHAT i LIKED: I love the overall concept of the story of spies, intrigue, kidnappings, a touch of time travel, danger, espionage, murder, revenge, unrequited love and romance. An excellent storyline.
WHAT i DID NOT LIKE: Some of the characters lacked substance. Why is it that the lead female character is confused and addle brained when it comes to love? As the book states “She was a confused ninny” and had a curiosity of a ten-year-old that caused her to eavesdrop when she ought not to. It does not seem the lead male character is so afflicted. I don’t mind anyone feeling vulnerable but for heaven sake do it so dignity and intelligence. Not in an arrogant mishish type of way. Rosanna’s character deserves better. It does not seem right that her sister in law is a progressive forward-thinking confident woman but Rosanna is not even half as much empowered. The lead male character’s personality and life need depth. It felt too shallow as I read about it. The only characters I had no problem with were the twin brothers. They felt real and down-to-earth in speech, deed and action. There is room for improvement. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Dom is a spy and carelessly pushes Rosanna away. He’s a rake and is known for not wanting to marry and he tells Rosanna she’s the last person he’d marry.
Dom has a lot to make up for and he never quite makes up for his past transgressions.
For a soy, he’s pretty dense.
Especially if he’s supposed to be good with the ladies, he lacks the use of words.
