Wrongly imprisoned whistle-blower Rachel Pierce would rather take her chances with her court appeal than accept her place as the first Interstellar Bride destined for the Colony. She’s stubborn and determined to seek justice—and her freedom—on Earth…but her mates are not willing to risk her life or her future on a system they believe to be both primitive and corrupt.Maxim of Prillon Prime … Prime fought ten long years in the Hive wars. Captured and tortured with his second, Ryston, they escaped only to be rejected by their own people and condemned to life on the Colony with the other “contaminated” cyborg warriors. As leader of Sector 3, it’s Maxim’s duty to set an example for his warriors and summon a bride. When she refuses transport, he can’t allow her rejection to demoralize an entire planet of battle hardened but jaded warriors. Maxim and Ryston transport to Earth where they decide she’s theirs and a maximum security human prison will not keep them apart.
Getting Rachel to the Colony is only the first challenge they will face. Convincing their beautiful mate to surrender to not one, but two dominant warriors is another. Even if they can win her love, a new evil is rising on the Colony and someone close to Maxim will be its first victim. Maxim will be its second, unless Rachel’s love and relentless pursuit of the truth proves strong enough to save him.

Interesting twist on alien romance but I didn’t like the characters much. Someone needs to write classier heroines, this potty mouth trend is a turn off. There was not much character development; if the characters were more interesting the “love” scenes would also be more interesting. I basically skipped them to get to the plot resolution.
This story is 3 books each in 3 parts each. Would have preferred1 large book each.
Surrender to the Cyborgs by Grace Goodwin – Love this cover! This was a freebie series starter, but I’m dangerously in love with this world! I have another series starter for another series in the same universe, so it has moved up my tbr pile! Happy Reading!
Grace Goodwin is my go-to author for sci-fi romance kink – her interstellar brides series and spinoffs are always worth reading. Strong women and hot aliens – what’s not to like?
Interesting story line and loved the characters
The story is a bit fast and the characters don’t a lot of depth but it was entertaining for a quick easy read with a happy ending.
This was a fun book to read.
Rachel does the right thing and puts faith in the system. When the system fails her, her choice is between joining general population in prison where she will not last the week or travel to The Colony and join her mate.
Some would think it is a no brainer, but I can understand Rachel’s reluctance- she is being forced to leave her life, everything she has worked for and built just because she knows the truth.
Right from the first page, this story grabbed me. It moved at a fast pace. I loved the vulnerability shown by the male characters. They were warriors who were captured, tortured and survived. Now they are discarded at the colony- unwelcome back at home.
I enjoyed how Maxim and Ryston have to deal with the new dimension to their relationship- feeling each other’s emotions as well as Rachel’s.
In their actions, they prove what great men they are. They are 100% swoon worthy and deserve their happy ending.
This was my first story by the author and I will definitely be heading on to read more of this series. If you love aliens, this is a must read.
Ms, Goodwin’s books are a treat.
The premise is original, a scientist who warned her company that the cancer drugs she developed were killing people. The company pins all the blame on her and has her imprisoned. She is broken out of jail by two aliens. One of them is her primary mate, Maxim. The other is his second.
The story is well written, has plausible science working for it, and tons of sexual energy. It has multiple layers that brings the story to life and better understanding for us, the readers. It carries a lot of important messages while being a romantic, erotic story. I really enjoyed it!
Surrender to the Cyborgs was a fun read. I’m hesitant about reading the fated mate type books, but Grace Goodwin makes them totally believable.
Rachel Pierce is a biochemist who sees more than she should and ends up in jail for her efforts to do the right thing. Fortunately, the Interstellar Bride Progam is run by people more intersted in doing the right thing than following the letter of the law. And the program is very, very good at matching people who belong together. Even if it takes them a bit longer than it should to realize that they really do belong together.
Rachel is a scientist caught up in a conspiracy to hide problems with a new drug. But her new mates believe in her, giving her the strength to believe in herself, and the courage to fight against the big companies to reveal the truth. Exactly what we want to see in our scientists in real life.
You won’t regret the time you spend with Rachel and her mates on the colony. Just read the whole book. You know you want to.
God!! This story is like Heaven and Hell. Your in Heaven when you find your mate. Being with them, getting to know them and falling in love. Then when things start to go wrong or they get sick or hurt. You are in Hell. How do you help them or you sit by there bed an worry over them to get better. With a lot of emotion you feel going through your body as if you are there with them. An Excellent story and it is the first one also.
Really yummy! My perfect fantasy, except for the claiming ceremony. I don’t think I’d be brave enough for that!
Love this book
Rachel was imprisoned for reporting the shady dealings of a pharma drug trial. The interstellar bride program may be her only out. She is matched to Maxim and Ryston on the Colony. Suspicious deaths are taking place on the Colony and it may be up to Rachel to use her medical expertise to save them all from their enemies. This book was very good. Loved Maxim and Ryston. I feel so bad for all of the guys on the Colony. They are heroes who deserve love too. I listened to the audio version and the narrator’s did an excellent job!
Great new series.
I love this author. She has created an intense, touching, suspenseful, steamy series with her Interstellar Brides series. But my favorite out of the IB series are the Colony books. These are the outcasts, the forgotten warriors thrown on a rock of a planet and left to serve as best they can. Their stories are moving, touching, romantic, and best of all steamy. Everything I want in my romance books! I highly recommend. )
I love this author
Love , love, love Grace Goodwin. Her books are just so hard to put down. I really like the story line and the characters. When I’m looking to buy books for my nook I always look for one, or two, or …. ( you get the picture) of hers. There is something for everyone and you will not be disappointed.
Goodwin’s alien brides series are always entertaining. These two alphas had to learn to love a very independent woman in her own right. Wonderful story.
