This is book 1 in a trilogy of short stories. All very steamy, and all great!
This was my first Nicola Davidson book but it won’t be my last. Widow Grace is about to be married off to a cruel, much older man, even though she’s an adult. To prevent this, she goes to Sebastian St. John, known as Sin, who runs the sex club Fallen, to ask him to debauch her in a way that will horrify her fiance enough for him to call off the wedding. Their chemistry is sizzling from the start, and the sex scenes are extremely hot throughout the book, as Grace gets to explore the fantasies she has never had an outlet for before. I loved Sebastian as a hero because he was unapologetic about his sexual appetites and runs the club Fallen, but also uses his wealth and power to help women escape from bad circumstances and give them a better life. I look forward to the rest of the Fallen series.
Utterly delicious!
Reading ‘Surrender to Sin’ was like diving into a bowl of rich chocolate trifle, and finding an unexpected layer of rum-soaked cherries beneath the cream.
Great characterisation – I was invested in the happiness of Lord Sebastian St. John and Lady Grace Carrington remarkably quickly. I’m hard to please. This hardly ever happens.
Off the charts smexiness – and I love the humour. Erotic lusciousness plus giggles is a winning recipe for me.
A dastardly villain in Lord Baxter – boo hiss! He was marvellously grim. A perfect foil to our hero.
A pirate fantasy room! Genius!
Can’t wait to get my mitts on volumes 2 and 3 of the Fallen series. I’m hooked.
I binged all three books in Nicola Davidson’s FALLEN series — these were super, super hot and scandalous Regency romances with high steam but also great characters, a fun and sexy pleasure club, tons of scandal and lots of queer rep (especially bi rep) and you know I love to see itttt!
I disliked this book the first time I read it, but have gone back, and a second time around I have really enjoyed it! The characters were fun, the plot interesting and scorching hot. A good, sexy read.
This erotic historical romance was a fun and sexy romp. The plot didn’t really hold together terribly well, but it gave Grace plenty of excuses to play the naughty lady of leisure, and the sex scenes were smoking hot and thoroughly enjoyable so I didn’t mind too much. If you are looking for a sexy costume drama to sweep you away, you won’t go wrong here.
A decadent read! Nicola paints a vivid story of wickedly sexy romance and desires. I loved Grace and Sin’s story, and look forward to reading the entire series.
Book one in the Fallen series. Novella length can be read and enjoyed as stand-alone. Fallen is a pleasure club in London. Secondary characters are the same throughout the series, but each book is about a different club co-owner finding their HEA. Sebastian has earned his reputation as Sin, but he can’t turn away a damsel in distress. Grace needs his help ruining her reputation to get out of an unwanted betrothal. Grace is the perfect woman for Sebastian and helping her is no hardship! I loved it!

A short read but what a read, the chemistry between Sin & Grace burns the pages. The plot is less than wealthy widow being forced into a second unwelcome marriage, her way of avoiding the marriage is novel & things don’t go to plan. I read this in a couple of sessions & was loathe to put it down, yes there’s lots of sex but there’s also lots of humour. I really look forward to Devil & Vice’s stories
