I’m a grown woman, not a little girl in need of a chaperone… or a spanking.
I came here to visit a friend, not to be manhandled by some Greek god.
He had no business scolding me, let alone smacking my bottom right there in the street.
So why did him threatening to take off his belt leave my panties soaked?
She’s an outsider, but that doesn’t mean I won’t take her over my knee.
I could tell … could tell this girl needed a firm hand the moment I set eyes on her.
She doesn’t know how things are done around here, but she’ll learn soon enough.
As long as we’re on my turf, she’s mine to protect… and mine to do with as I please.
Publisher’s Note: Surrender is a stand-alone sequel to Bronson, Carter, Rockland, and Virgin. It includes spankings and sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book. Complete standalone. No Cliffhangers. Happily Ever After.

When Hannah made arrangements with Adrianna to come visit her and meet her husband for the first time since she couldn’t make the wedding, she had no idea the special “rules” that had been set in place or that she would need to follow them. Nicholas, aka Nick, is to be her bodyguard during her entire visit but Hannah is a modern day feminist and is outraged. This was such a great read with all the characters we’ve come to know and love. By adding Hannah to the mix and getting to know Nick more intimately, it just brought the storyline and world a little closer. I really will hate to see an end to this series. I feel like I’ve been inducted into the Bachmans. I’m just waiting for my own Bachman to come along.
Surrender
A Mafia Billionaire Romance
By: Shanna Handel
Narrated by: Zachary Zaba
Those Bachman men are so easy to fall in love with. Hannah comes to visit her friend Adrianna in the village. While here, she is put under the protection of Nicholas who takes his job very seriously. When she steps out of line, he is right there to correct her! But his form of discipline is not what she is expecting and is disturbed by her reaction to him. Running off fighting her feelings, they cross paths 3 years later. Do they still have the chemistry? Will Hannah be able to live under Nicholas’s rule? Shanna Handel’s amazing second installment had me from the first minute. Hannah is extremely independent, stubborn and has a goal. Nicholas is fiercely loyal and passionate, and will do anything to keep her safe. It’s easy to get lost in their story, the emotional tugging, the heated passion and the underlying suspense kept me invested in the outcome of their story. Add in the cameos from Adrianna and Dante, it gives us a feeling of familiarity and community.
Zachary Zaba just enhances this story with his amazing narration. He has such a perfect voice for his alpha males, and Nick had it all. He gave off that true feeling of love and passion, even when Nick was delivering his discipline! He easily changes between characters, though I would have liked Hannah to have a little stronger British accent. I really enjoyed his performance and am looking forward to book 3.

~~ 4 SPANKILICOUS STARS! ~~
SURRENDER by Shanna Handel inflames the senses and leaves you shivering in pure and utter bliss!
PREMISE:
This fifth book in the Mafia Billionaire Romance series has introverted geneticist Hannah under the protection of Nicholas Bachman when she visits her friend Adrianna in the Village. The fiercely independent, career-driven young lady is like a fish out of water in the “archaic” Bachman universe and the last thing she wants is to obey this big, manly mafia leader’s every command. But this deadly assassin takes his orders to look after her VERY seriously. Which means that his rules to ensure her protection must be adhered to or she will suffer the consequences! Although Hannah fights him at every turn, Nick’s strict OTK lessons soon awaken forbidden submissive yearnings in the rebellious beauty that catch her off guard. And what started off as a contentious arrangement explodes into a torrid one night stand that leaves them both craving more! But when her confusing feelings leave her panic-stricken, Hannah flees the village and returns to her safe yet lonely sanctuary to continue her studies. Then 3 years later, their paths collide again, and the broody Mafia man is not about to let her escape his clutches again. But will the British beauty, whose life has been marred by danger and tragedy, truly ever fit into his world…and trust Nicholas enough to stay in his sheltering arms forever?
MY MUSINGS:
Once again Shanna Handel sweeps us up into the Bachman universe in an epic way! I was hooked by Nicholas and Hannah’s spankilicious, scorching hot and heartmelting romance from page one. This steamy, tautly plotted page turner is teeming with panty drenching passion, drama, intrigue and soulful emotion! I love the connection between these two polar opposites—pitting one big, commanding, no-nonsense mafia man against a sassy, fiercely independent and scholarly scientist who needs to be taught a few stern lessons in obedience and respect is pure magic! The filthy hot, kinky interludes were so titillating I was physically ACHING and I rooted for this adorable duo to get their richly deserved storybook ending!
Nick was everything you covet in a big, bad mafia hitman: Strong, ruthless, ferociously protective, powerfully commanding and breathtakingly tender. I could not stop swooning over him and relished his gentle, caring side as much as his steely dominance! I adored Hannah’s character as well. While she leads a regimented, solitary lifestyle, tragedy has left a terrible chasm in her heart and in Nick’s arms she finds the acceptance, love, devotion and safety that have eluded her for so long. Furthermore, this sternly sexy, fiercely loving man brings out the naughty little girl in her, and even when he’s chastising her to the point of tears, he makes her feels cherished and coddled beyond her wildest dreams. But with a new job looming that will once again take her far, far away she has a mighty big decision to make. Stay or go? Well, if Nick has anything to say about it she will spend a lifetime over his lap AND in his strong, sheltering arms!
Hannah is a woman of many layers. She is smart as a whip and self-assured in her work but in her personal life? Not so much. Nick helps her come into her own and through his loving guidance she eventually overcomes her fear of commitment, helps her combat her impulse to flee when she feels the walls closing in, and shows her that her rightful place is within the Bachman family fold.
This author nails the d/s dynamic perfectly in this book, and I found the punishment sessions both highly erotic yet achingly emotional too. And the manner in which she weaves the Bachman men and their beauties into the fabric of her stories is seamless. I love the unique customs, rules and beautiful traditions that go hand in hand with belonging to this secret mafia society, and Ms. Handel adds a nice amount of adrenaline pumping danger and suspense into the mix to keep us on our toes. Oh and the HEA was beyond delightful!
NARRATION:
This is my first audio listen by Zachary Zaba and I am now offically hooked! This narrator’s voice is smooth as velvet with a deep, husky timbre that left me all aquiver! His depiction of Nick Bachman was pitch perfect and I love how he could morph from sensitive, passionate lover, to take charge protector to stern disciplinarian so effortlessly. His inflections really sucked me in and he truly breathed life into this deliciously dominant Mafia leader who was both tough as nails yet swooningly romantic. And HOLY HOTNESS! When he lectured Hannah through gritted teeth during their OTK sessions I felt so transported into the scene that it was almost as if I was the recipient of his strict yet loving care! I also thought he did a commendable job of portraying Hannah as well, softening his voice and intonations and really infusing this heroine with the right mixture of fire and vulnerability. I can’t wait to hear more from this talented narrator!
BOTTOM LINE:
SURRENDER was sensational in every way and I can’t get enough of the Bachman world. I hope this author’s Mafia Billionaire Romance series never ends!
Surrender is the final installment in A Mafia Billionaire Romance Series by Shanna Handel which features Nicholas, a member of the Bachman Mafia family, and Hannah, who meets him three years after a one night stand when she fled from him. I recommend this well written novel with its fantastic characters and plot filled with secrets, danger, and sizzling romance.

Great chemistry between the main characters. This author has a way of writing these insanely readable stories.

When Hannah goes to visit her friend Adrianna in The Village, she meets Nicholas. She’s not the same as the people who live in this upper-class neighborhood in New York. People with money and class, but Adri is her friend, so she goes to visit. Then she runs. Someone like dominant Nick can be overpowering and she knows she needs to make her own way. Now she’s returned. This was a really good read. There’s a lot of spanking and romance and yummy sex and some danger.

I loved this book. I couldn’t put it down. I couldn’t wait to see what happened next for Nicholas and Hannah. They were perfect for each other. I love reading this series by Shanna Handel!
One thing you have to say about this Bachman’s, is when they commit, they don’t mess around.
Hannah walked into the Bachman circle being completely clueless. Her friend, Adrianna, could have given her a “little” bit of a heads up about what she was getting herself into. I liked that she was independent and intelligent. I was kind of surprised at how easily she gave up one project for another. I didn’t expect her to react to Nick’s suggestion that way.
Nick and Hannah had a serious case of instalust/love, which is why I guess she ran. I was also surprised at how easily she accepted Nick’s solution to her problem, with very few qualms.
I like the Bachman series. This book did seem shorter than some of the others. I would have liked to have had more of a story about Nick and Hannah. This one seemed to me to be rushed. I know they had a long separation, but after their reunion, things flew by until we were at the end.
Bachman mafia book five. I love Nicholas and Hannah’s story. This couple sparks of passion as soon as they meet, but Hannah isnt quite ready to feel what Nicholas has to offer. Girl runs away after the scorching hot night they spend together. Will they ever reconnect? Can he convince her to try him on? Love this series
The Bachman’s are EVERYTHING!!!!
Hannah is a childhood friend of Adrianna’s. She comes for a visit in The Village and of course needs a chaperon. Nicholas Bachman is the man for the job and enjoys every moment of it.
These two are separated for three years, time that has not erased either of them from the other. Can Nicholas show Hannah that she belongs to him forever?
Shanna Handel once again brings us a love story like no other. The Bachman’s are a breed of men that exude respect, power, love and family.
Shanna’s mafia billionaire series has pulled me in from the very beginning. She is an exceptional writer who has created a unique and addictive world within her books.
Hannah and Nick are to this day one of my favorite characters to date. If I could read about their love for the rest of my life, I would. Hannah is a head strong woman who is determined to get by without a mans help. Nick however follows the traditions of the Bachman life and rules with dominance and expects complete obedience in return. Hannah soon finds herself put into place by Nick but soon realises that she craves the dominance just as much as Nick needs to dish it out. The two complement each other to a perfection.
I loved this book and proudly give it 5 stars.
All the Baughman women are strong and independent. but Hannah has the audacity to defy Nick and leave him a few times. I liked that she wasn’t so enamored with Nick that she still had her own mind and conscience and she followed it. I floved it. I liked that Hannah is a different sized beauty and still very attractive to the man of her heart. I loved Hannah, but gad was she dense in matters of the heart! Lol! Captivating couple and storyline.
Surrender is the fifth book set within the Bachman Mafia world, a stand alone sequel to the previous books. Three years ago, Hannah had a one night stand with Nicholas, a member of the Bachman family, but she ran, feeling too much too quickly and not sure how she fits into his world. But now as she’s about to move, she can’t help but want to spend the last of her time with Nicholas. Will Nicholas be able to convince Hannah to be his forever?
I absolutely love books that I can be swept away into, thrust into the characters lives and can’t help but cheer for their love. Nicholas and Hannah did this to me, sucking me into their romance and only wanting more from them and this world! Nicholas is stern but loving, I loved how he went after what he wanted, would do literally anything to protect it, and he wooed Hannah to the best of his abilities. Hannah was sweet and I loved her transformation from being slightly insecure to a more confident woman. She has such a fear of commitment, but I love that she needs to face her fear and figure out what’s more important to her – family and love, or isolation and fear. There’s a little bit of a danger element that had me turning pages, but honestly, the book (and I) was more focused on the romance and the storyline between Nicholas and Hannah. I am loving this series and I don’t ever want to leave this world – can it be real?! But I loved this book and absolutely loved this couple!
This is the latest entry in the Bachman Mafia Billionaire books and I’m still loving them. The relationship between Nicholas and Hannah is so delightfully fresh and zesty and the perfect antitode to so much of the current dullness in some of the more angsty romances around.
Boring. It could not hold my interest.
