Rose has sworn off love after finding her ex-fiance in their bed with another woman. Having returned home to lick her wounds, she sets out to make sure others find their true love, refusing to listen to her own heart and desires. Danny was just the hire helped but the first night he sees Rose, he falls in love with her. Even though he works for Rose’s family, he himself feels like part of the family. They become the best of friends and supports each other over the years. However, they continue to dance around one another, never truly admitting their true feelings for one another. Will they ever face the truth? What will it take to make them finally admit it to themselves and each other?
I really enjoy this book. I like that they genuinely love one another as friends and always looked out for one another, supporting each other in their endeavors. I can see why Rose was resistant to the relationship with her initial reasoning. I would probably feel the same way she did as well.
I did feel that the ending was kind of rushed. However seeing that it’s a novella, I can understand why the author had to rush it through. Still a good read and worth reading if you have some time to spare.
It is sad that Rose won’t let herself realizes the love between her and Danny. Waiting 15 years for your love to be returned is really bad. There are a great group of characters in this story. It was an interesting story with many sides to explore. Lucky that Rose ends up in trouble during a blizzard or who knows how many more years she would have wasted. It was a good happy ever after. I received this book as an ARC and I am voluntarily reviewing this book.
A well written sweet romance. It is an exciting heartpounding addictive storyline between Rose and Danny’s history and the amount of love and determination that he has. It includes an age difference, fear, uncertainty, some suspense, passion, chemistry, and twists and turns in this fast paced captivating romance. I was on the edge of my seat with the unexpected circumstances and loved all the support and love with bonus hot steamy scenes. A great standalone inthe series cant wait for more from the Callahan series.

I really enjoyed Rose’s story. Her earlier heartbreak that turned her into a stubborn woman was relatable. Danny is caring and dependable as well as sweet. Their story is a journey. All of the characters are fun and I’ll be checking out other books in this series. I would like to see a break between each point of view as it jumps from one person to the other but other than that it’s an enjoyable story with smiles, heat and emotion.

Rose was set in her ways. Danny never wavered with his patience and love waiting for Rose for all those years. How quickly he put together his plans for her before she had to face her health issue. The ending brought them a happy future together.

This brilliantly written book is fourth in The Callahan series and it features Rose and Danny. My emotions really bounced around while reading this book. Danny is a man any woman would be lucky to have. He’s alpha, muscled and masculine as well as loving, sensitive and patient. Probably too patient and he’s also ten years younger than the woman he’s in love with. Rose vowed, when she was younger, to never be in love again after being hurt. This is a story of a woman that is SO stubborn she refuses to see what’s been staring her in the face for the last 15 years.
Rose finally gets her story. At times it’s fun. Other times it’s so heartbreaking I cried for her. It’s full of self discovery, love and most of all family. If I could’ve given more than five stars to this fantastic story, I would have.
Rose had something to do with everyone around her finding their true love. Little did she know, hers, Danny, was always in front of her. I loved this book and the characters. Definitely a Must Read!!!!

The storyline was well written and the characters were so well developed that as I turned each and every page I felt like Rose and Danny jumped from the pages and pulled me right into their story as it unfolded!
Game, set match!
Surrender by Taylor Brent is a very well written book, the forth in the Callahan series. This stand alone book wonderfully showcases two characters and their long time coming HEA.
I loved this story, a suspenseful and gripping emotional tale. Rose and Danny are truly destined and the wake up call is a fantastic read with a lot of highs and lows along the way to keep the reader fully engaged and invested.

(Review with spoilers)
Fourth book in the series, Rose and Danny’s romance. Great story. I loved it.
In the previous books, Rose was an important part of them, and we already knew how she is. She wants to help people find love. She’s generous, she gives everything for her friends. In this one, you discover why she is alone. It is curious that a person who does not believe in love for herself does believe in it for others, and is willing to do anything to help them, even manipulating them.
Less was known about Danny, that he is in love with Rose, and she doesn’t realize it. A lot is discovered about him. He is a great man, who has always been there for Rose, first as a friend, and then as an man in love. Everyone knows how he feels about her, except Rose herself. He wants her to notice him, to see him as he is. He’s tired of waiting, he wants her by his side. And he has the support of his friends. He has become my favorite protagonist.
I loved them together. I understand why Rose resists, but she should have realized that Danny would never act like her ex. He’s a man of integrity who would never hurt anyone, much less the people he cares about.
I loved their intimate moments. I loved how Danny takes care of her, how he has those little details to make her smile.
I loved that Rose finally realizes what’s in front of her eyes. Danny is not only the man who loves her unconditionally, but he is the man with whom she can share everything, trust, love. Their age difference is just an excuse. If she had accepted him earlier, if she had seen him, they would have been together for many years. But she could not see him. She didn’t even know him, as she thinks sadly.
I loved that Jill wants to help them be together. And if for that she has to manipulate and deceive Rose … It would be fair. Rose did it first.
I loved seeing the other characters. I look forward to the next stories, Roger’s, and Kit’s as well.
I recommend it.
I received an ARC from the author, and this is my honest review.
Rose likes to meddle in people lives, which she inherited from her mother and grandmother. Now is her turn for her friends to meddle in her life and get her to open her eyes to love. Danny and Rose have known each other for 15 yrs and he’s loved her that whole time. He just wants her to open her heart to what they could have together. Can Danny, with the help of their friends succeed?
Lots of fun and sass between Rose and her friends will have you smiling and on edge.

Rose Callahan came home to her grandmother and mother after a failed relationship. They had hired Danny to work around the place, who was a decade younger than Rose. He saw Rose asleep in her bed after she came home…he fell in love! Fast forward 15 years later…Danny had given up on finishing college. Instead, he had continued to work at the place Rose now owned. Many of the townspeople had come together from Rose ‘interfering’ in their lives. Now, it was time for a little payback! Everyone knew Danny loved Rose. One day a blizzard blows in and Rose is caught in it. Danny sets out to find her and he does. They finally come together and experience the passion they feel. When they are rescued Rose struggles with the age difference. Once again, Danny has to prove who she belongs with!
Finally, accepting they belong together, Rose is called to the Dr. Office after seeing results of some of her tests. She has breast cancer! What will happen? Will she seek treatment? Will she pass away? What about her romance she just started with Danny? Will he stick by her side? What about children as well? This is a very sweet romance with some hot steamy scenes. Rose finally has her chance at love with her best friend Danny. She has ignored all chances at love after her fiance cheated on her. They encounter many insecurities, a blizzard, and serious health issues in an all empty to get to their HEA. This is book 4 in this series and each one is better. Very good read!

Surrender is the story of Rose, a woman coming off of a bad breakup, and Danny, a young man headed off to college. Over the course of a summer, they become best friends. Fast forward 15 years, and the Heart of the story continues. These 2 friends have a turbulent relationship that will be tested time and again on the way to their HEA ending.
Taylor Brent has written a wonderful story with a deeply romantic theme. Her plot is solid and I couldn’t wait to read “one more chapter”. There is such emotion in the writing that I felt as though I was a voyeur in the lives of these 2 characters. While this is the fourth book in the Callahan series, it can and does read as a stand-alone. This is a romance with graphic language partnered with mild sex scenes. A 5-star read!

Rose caught her fiancee in bed with someone so she doesn’t trust love anymore. Danny has been her best friend since he helped her with her broken heart. He wants more but doesn’t know how to get through to her. I really enjoyed this story.
Rose Callahan is packed and heads back home to Springvale, Utah after catching her fiancé in bed with another woman. Ophelia, Rose’s grandma and Madeline, her Mom live at and run the Twin Peaks Inn. The Callahan’s have lived at the Twin Peaks for many generations. Rose feeling the anger and hurt over the cheating idiot, she vows to swear off men, no love period. Rose helps her Mom and Grandma in the running of the Inn.
Danny Benson graduated high school and had been saving money to pay for college, he gets a job to help around the Inn, fixing things, running errands, decided to put off college for another year to keep working at the Inn to get money saved up for tuition, when his Mom got sick, he’d was working to take care of them both.
Fifteen years later and Rose is still swearing of men and pushing love away, but Danny’s about had all he can with her pushing him away. He’s loved her since the second he saw her fifteen years ago, they are best friends and she’s always competing against him in everything. Rose uses the fact that she’s 10 years older than him keep him at a distance for romance. He’s done waiting and their ages don’t matter to Danny and they shouldn’t matter to Rose. With some twists in the story, Danny starts to breakdown Rose’s walls she’s put up. Rose is slowly coming around to loving Danny when another twist tries to get in their way. Danny is not letting Rose deal with things alone, no matter if they are lovers or still just friends, he’ll never not be there for her. Finally realizing that Danny loves her, but he’s “In Love” with her and she’s completely in love with him.
Danny was patient for over fifteen years, waiting for Rose to love and really live again. Bring patient is what love is all about.
I absolutely love this series of the Callahan women. Rose was devastated by her fiancé when she found him in bed with another women and as he stated to her after he was done with his business was that she was going to be his wife and to just deal with it. Needless to say she moved out and went back home to Springvale where her mother and Grammy lived. She never left Springvale and made the hidden brothel into a bar where she sold her home brew and Danny sold his own root beer. Needless to say after making her comment to Grammy all those years ago about never falling in love again, she finds it knocking on her door. Danny has been there ever since and has no plans of leaving the Inn or Rose. He’s making it his mission to show Rose how much he loves her and how he’s not like her ex or her father. With a twisting plot and family at her side Rose and Danny get the HEA.

ONE HEART MELTING EXPERIENCE!!!
Wow! Talk about hitting a brick wall. Taylor nailed this little gem 100% on point. A rollercoaster ride of emotions and events that really pulls those heartstrings as it draws you in. You feel everything the characters feel, be it happy, sad, heartache or reaching the end of your endurance. The characters are complex and believable with such depth and individuality it’s easy to relate. The chemistry between the two main characters are soul deep and intense. The scenes are so graphically detailed and descriptive you have no trouble picturing each scenario as they play off one another perfectly. All the drama, uncertainty, fear and a little suspense increases while tension spirals. Twists and turns abound with unexpected circumstances that make for one thrilling experience. This is one exciting, fast paced, heart pounding, pulse racing, page turning delight that’s as riveting as it is captivating. Taylor really blew my mind with this bad boy. So complete and enthralling. Taylor did an incredible job bringing this read to life. Fantastic job Taylor, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.
