From #1 New York Times bestselling author Rachel Van Dyken comes the next standalone rockstar romance in her Seaside Pictures series…I had his posters on my wall when I was sixteen and when I accidentally got pregnant in high school–his was the face I dreamt of when I closed my eyes at night. Now, over twenty years later, that dream’s turned into a reality. Not only is Drew … reality.
Not only is Drew Amhurst in my tiny town of Seaside, live and in the flesh…
But he’s mentoring my rockstar son.
Drew says he’s mine for a week.
And he made me three promises.
“No strings attached.”
“No falling in love.”
“It’s only seven days.”
He’s confident that he can help me rediscover myself both in and out of the bedroom, and I’m confident that he’s too arrogant for his own good.
And at the end of seven days, he swears he’ll walk out of my life the way he came into it.
The only problem is, the more I get to know him, the more I want to surrender the last pieces of my heart and beg him to stay.

This book was everything I didn’t know this series needed. While I would LOVE to have more books in this series, but one was the perfect cherry on top for me. This relationship was eluded to, but you have no idea what you are getting with these two.
This read was sexy and fun and like a typical Seaside read, it was hilarious and brought back the entire gang.
Drew has demons and so does Bronte. With life throwing them together they have to battle their demons to let themselves find the happy that they both so completely deserve.
Bronte is a single mom who has never been values and Drew is a rockstar who has never truly been loved. Throw them together with a sassy teenager and watch the fireworks.
This is an HEA with the angst that you know and love and the drama that is JUST enough. Perfection at Seaside.
Why oh why have I not started The Seaside Pictures Series yet? This is the first book that I have read and it did not disappoint. A huge fan of books entailing musicians and this one had me swooning hard for the antics of Drew Amhurst and the chemistry between Bronte; a single mom raising 3 kids: rockstar son (thanks to Drew), another daughter in college, and another daughter still living at home who faces health concern.
Bronte was a young mom with an deadbeat ex where she had to grow up fast. Now that her kids are grown the feelings of loneliness come up more often than she likes. Drew offers an opportunity to spend a week with Bronte to have her let loose and unwind. To experience things she had missed out on. This rom com read was filled with banter, humor, and an unexpected connection that will have you falling for these two for more.
Even though Surrender is part of the Seaside Pictures series it can be read as a standalone. It takes place in Seaside Oregon, a little town where rockstars go to relax and record. Drew is the lead singer of the band Adrenaline who in Seaside for a week to write and record new music before they go back on tour. Drew’s protégé Braden’s family lives there. Bronte, Braden’s mother is a divorced mother of 3 who has spent her life taking care of her family. Getting pregnant at sixteen and being forced to marry has had her missing a lot of things that most people growing up experience. Drew is determined to help her get her groove back now that her children are mostly grown. Drew is a great character and even though he has a lot of his own baggage is fun and crazy. I really love the chemistry between Bronte and Drew as he draws her out and they fall. I love the quick and hilarious banter between all the characters especially the group texts. I have fallen in Love with Seaside and I know after reading Surrender you will want more, so I recommend the rest of the series.
3.5/5 Stars
This was a lighthearted story about two broken souls that come together and fill in each other’s broken pieces. I really loved the premise for this book and I thought that it was plotted out really well. I felt that the story was a bit rushed and was missing some depth but in the end, was a story that I really enjoyed. I really liked the characters. Bronte and Drew were both likable and relatable. I loved Drew’s personality. He kept putting a smile on my face. I’m on the fence about the romance in this book. On one hand, it was very instalove and on the other hand, the characters had great chemistry. There were definitely several romantic moments in the book that melted my heart. Overall, this was a fun and quick story that kept my attention and delighted me. I would definitely read the other books in this series.
This is the romcom I needed in my life! Surrender is a fun read with plenty of steam. Drew is swoony and brings out Bronte’s wild side. Bronte is fierce and loving, and she’s a female character I really admire. She and Drew complement each other in the best ways. Their story is hopeful and special and romantic, and it’s a definite must read.
A flawless rockstar romance from one of the best! Her characters walk off the page, and Bronte is especially fantastic with her strength and devotion to her children. Her and Drew’s path to love is perfection.
This was a sweet sexy rockstar romance and I really enjoyed this book . This is a story about love ,family and friendships . This isn’t my typical read but I found it a nice change of pace it was lighthearted and fun I loved the characters and even the side characters found a special place in my heart . Bronte and Drew’s story gave me all the feels it was steamy , angsty , sweet , funny and emotional too . Definite must read for contemporary romance lovers and I recommend to anyone who wants a good lighthearted read !

This is the first book I have read in the series and it can be read as a standalone. This is Drew’s story and what a wonderful read it is. Drew is a lead singer of Adrenaline who also acts as a mentor to an up and coming artist to hit the scene, Braden. Like any Rockstar, Drew has somewhat of a turbulent past which has made him feel isolated. Bronte is Braden’s mother who has done an admirable job raising her three children after she was divorced at a young age. Like any good mother, her focus was on providing for her children while neglecting herself and her needs. Imagine Bronte’s surprise when she gets to meet her high school crush, Drew. Adding fuel to the fire, Drew offers Bronte an entire week of pleasure to celebrate her fortieth birthday. This is one witty storyline that will make you smile as the slow burn of romance grows through the turning of the pages. I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book.

This book made me so happy! Drew has always been my favourite of the Adrenaline men and I’ve been waiting for his story as he truly deserves happiness.
Bronte and Drew’s story was exactly what I was hoping and more! If you love contemporary romance about rock stars then this is definitely a book for you!
The entire Seaside Pictures series is worth reading but this book has to be my favourite of them all. Just a perfect love story with so much love and humour that you can’t help but smile the whole time.
As always, the group chat exchange between the boys was so funny. Love it!
I haven’t read the other books in this series, so that could be why I felt the way I did about this one. The way the book starts off, it seems like Drew is in love with another woman. His ex-best friend’s woman. If that wasn’t bad enough, I’m supposed to believe that a day later he’s already half in love with a different woman? Uh, no. The writing did flow well, I just couldn’t get behind this. I never felt like I really got to know either Drew or Bronte beyond their week together. I like to have more depth to my characters if they’re going to fall madly in love with each other in 7 days. Although I wasn’t a huge fan of this one, I will be checking out whatever this author puts out next!

Emotions, laughter and love are the theme of this story. Rachel has hit it out of the park with this sexy and funny romance that will be on everyone’s top rockstar list.
Rachel has such a gift of writing. She can write dirty, dark mafia. She can write sweet, romantic love, and rockstars will come to life in front of your eyes. Rachel DOES NOT disappoint. EVER. With her words come a story that comes to life right in front of your eyes.
My heart just cannot say how happy it truly is. She has taken 2 broken characters who find just what they need with each other.
So drew is HILARIOUS!! Bronte has had to mature at a young age. Together, the chemistry is off the charts and their love story takes off. Their story is one you DO NOT want to miss.
I loved this book. Over the course of his career, Drew has lived up to his rockstar persona, including an addiction to drugs. He has gotten his life together over the past several years and Is now trying to find inspiration to write new songs for his band Adrenaline. Bronte has loved Adrenaline since she was a teenage mom, and Drew has always been her favorite. When the two meet a few years ago, as Drew came to mentor her now grown son, Drew has also been smitten. He is back in Seaside and trying to write/record music, when he runs into Bronte. He then he somehow convinces Braden to let him help his mom get her grove back. This book is a classic rom com and had me laughing through out the entire book. Drew’s one liners in addition to a classic RVD group text message were great. I also really enjoyed watching Bronte trying to first come to grips with not only having a man interested in her after all of the years since her divorce, but that it is her crush that she has had since she was a teenager. I also loved watching Drew trying to see himself as a man that does deserve a second chance with life no matter what baggage he has. This is also a book about 2 characters who are older than the typical romance novel (he is 36 and she is 39). I really enjoyed reading a bit more mature characters. Drew is by far my favorite from the Seaside books!
The best book ever written by Miss Van Dyken! Drew was everything I needed and more, I loved his non dad role and all of his interactions with his new family. Also, the group chat was everything! I need more!!!
Surrender is the story of rockstar, Andrew and his protégés mom, Bronte. Andrew is a 36 year old who is feeling like it’s time to find “the one” and settle down. All of his friends & band mates have found love, getting married, and having kids and he wants that! He’s always thought his protege, Braden’s mom was hot, but knew she was off limits. Bronte is a 39 year old divorcee with three children. She got pregnant and married as a teenager. She didn’t get to experience life the same way a teenager would without kids. Andrew wants to give Bronte the best week of her life and let her get to know the real him at the same time. I enjoyed all the witty banter between Andrew and Bronte and Andrew and Amelia (Bronte youngest daughter) I enjoyed the story, but felt it was a little too “insta love” for my liking. This was the first book that I’ve read in the Seaside Picture series, but now I’m interested in reading the rest of them.
Surrender is one captivating book that has gone up to my top five favorite books of the year; Rachel Van Dyken has done it again! The story flows ever-so-smoothly at just the right pace. It’s sexy, steamy, swoon-worthy, with lots of witty banter and just a hint of drama. I love that the couple is more mature than those in most books and it shows in the way they think and process things.
This book is the fourth b0ok in the Seaside Pictures series, but it’s not at all necessary to read any of the previous books in the series. I myself have read only this and the third book, Provoke.
Surrender is a slow-burn, contemporary rock star romance written in dual first-person POV. It’s a standalone that ends with a HEA. No cliffhanger, no cheating.
I received this book at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

Drew and Bronte…omg!
We waited a while for their story and let me tell you RVD did not disappoint. Surrender was everything and more the banter was perfect. I loved every minute of it, I couldn’t put the book down. Well done once again on another fantastic story
Rachel has crafted a beautifully written and emotional Rockstar Romance. Her words will leave you with a warmth in your heart and a smile on your face. This book is a perfect Rom Com that will have you laughing out loud and then swooning all over the place in the next instant.
. , .
This book took me by complete surprise in the best way, I was not prepared for how hilarious The Drew Amhurst was going to be. He was legit the best thing. He had my laughing so loudly that those around me looked at me like I was a lunatic. But there was nothing I could do, Drew was just that good, he left me with a perpetual smile, and a lightness to my soul. I loved his relationship with not only Bronte but her children as well. This brought another layer to this story, watching as his relationship grew and how his easy-going behavior helped in some very difficult situations will have you falling head over heels for this Rockstar.
.
Bronte was amazing she is this completely unselfish person who put her entire life on hold to be the best mother she could possibly be. And you can see that in how amazing her children are. She has a gentle soul and has gone through some atrocious things. But she doesn’t let those wear so much on her. She is beyond strong in how she deals with things in her life and you want to just wrap her up in a hug and tell her that it’s okay to be selfish every once in a while. I loved the dynamic between her and Drew, he’s laid back and funny and she’s I’ll be it a little uptight but it’s his demeanor that helps her to let go and have some much needed fun.
, , ’ . ’ .
This book was nothing like I had expected but everything I didn’t even know I needed. Rachel’s words have the ability to pull you instantly into any story and keep you there until the very end. Her characters come to life before your eyes as her words wrap themselves around your heart. This story warmed me from the inside out, after I finished, I just felt a lightness to my heart that I didn’t even know I needed. If you are looking for a funny Rockstar Romance than this is the book for you.
