Who knew planning a wedding could be so hard?
He said yes and that had been all that mattered.
So why did he give excuse after excuse to not set a date to say our “I dos”?
Why wasn’t he my husband yet?
I didn’t know, but by the end of the night, I was going to find out.
No matter what tactics I had to use. Even if they were dirty.
Especially if they were dirty.
Jake and Jackson are back for their HEA in a quick novella. Everything I loved about this couple is still there. The depth of their love and passion has only grown more intense which Fiona wtites so beautifully. The path to happiness has never been easy for them but with Joanne on the case there is no way they aren’t getting the big wedding. This may be a short read but it is still packed with emotion.
Although this is short addition to the incredible Voyeur series, it packs all the heat and passion of a longer book. Fiona Cole gives us just a bit more of Jake and Jackson and a look into their lives as they are now engaged. They have an attraction that can be felt on every page, each still unbelieving that they are truly together, once and for all. I loved them in prior books, especially in Lovers, and this one fits in right before Another, which is Carina and Ian’s story.
If you need a little bit of naughty during a tough day, look no further than Surrender. It’s a worthy addition to the Voyeur world and will undoubtedly make you smile.
4 big stars!!
I loved wonderful novella that continues Jake and Jackson’s story. This is a couple that really tugs at your heartstrings while raising your temperature. You can expect plenty of swoon, emotion and drama as this couple try to plan a wedding that is worthy of the love they share. So sweet and steamy, this is a truly special moment that is not to be missed for fans of this couple.
4.5 stars
I fell in love with Jake and Jackson in Lovers. There was just something palpable in regards to their connection. Even as I loved them I also hated them because What happened in that story stung a little for one of the characters. Even though I understood it and things went well later in this series, it still stung. I held on to a little of that bitterness. Until, this novella. It gave me just the closure that I needed in order to fully appreciate the dynamics of these two strong characters and, furthermore, made me happy that they both finally enjoyed the love that anyone and everyone should be allowed to enjoy and have. Love is Love.
This author is always known to give it all she has in regards to emotions, angst, characters, steam, and love. This book was no different. I wish that it was longer as this felt more like a bonus epilogue than anything else. I won’t complain, too much, though because I adore everything about this author and the amazing characters in Voyeur.
HOT, STEAMY, SEXY!!! That’s exactly what Surrender by Fiona Cole is. HOLY SMOKES, this novella has so much packed into it! I ADORED Jackson and Jake in Lovers. Now in Surrender we get to see them on their way to marital bliss, however a stumble or two could cause an issue.
Fiona Cole know how to write all the dirty, sexy sex scenes, yet leave us with a storyline that will hook you! I LOVED every moment of this novella!
Overall Grade:
At the end of Fiona Cole’s Lovers, there was indeed an opportunity for more Jake and Jackson. Together, these two are $exy, swoony, and sweet. And Lovers was the “tip of the iceberg” for them. Fiona Cole surprised us all with more of Jake and Jackson’s story in the Love is Love is Love anthology. For this reader, I was sad that I didn’t get my hands on it. Yet, Cole surprised us in deciding to release that story as a novella entitled Surrender. The only disappointment about Surrender is the need for MORE Jake and Jackson.
In this novella, Jake wants to marry Jackson, but Jackson seems reticent to “tie the knot.” Unbeknownst to Jake, Jackson is overwhelmed by the cost of the wedding that Jake’s mom wants to plan. Once Jake realizes the issue, he is determined to get Jackson to the altar. Will it happen before the end of the book? Read Surrender to find out.
Fiona Cole’s Surrender is the type of quick read you can do in a couple of hours. It’s a nugget of fun and sultriness. Just like Lovers, Jake and Jackson are hot in the bedroom. There is one scene, in particular, that is fire on the page. This is the Fiona Cole that we have all come to love.
The only complaint I have about Surrender is I want more. I love Jake and Jackson together: they love each other deeply, they support each other, and they are $exual magic. However, I want to see them beyond their wedding, considering babies. If I was Cole, I would continue Jake and Jackson’s story until their end because these two steam up the page and cause you to swoon. If you loved Lovers, then you definitely want Surrender. It’s a great deal, a quick read, and a place to distract you from the troubles of our world. Jake and Jackson are everything you want them to be.
Steamy sexual love story.
As the book title suggests Surrender is a beautifully written story filled with plenty of action and a great amount of passion.
Jake doesn’t understand why Jackson wont set a wedding date after being engaged for six months. Jackson and his stubborn pride won’t allow Jake and his mother to force him into setting a date until he is ready.
What if his pride stops him from getting Jake the love of his life.
Can Jackson surrender his pride? Or risk losing his lover.
When Jake finally discovers the real reason Jackson is stalling he takes control and fights to prove his love and devotion to Jackson. It is all he wants is for Jackson to be his husband and nothing else matters.
“I loved him so much and I was going to make him mine if it was the last thing I did.”
I love Jake and Jackson so much! They’re everything. I love the balance they have within their relationship. The equal amounts of possessiveness. The equal amounts of passion. The equal amount of dominance.
I don’t want their story to be over! I want more! I know this is a novella.. and this is the MORE readers want, but I want more. Sorry Fiona. I’m a stingy woman. I need more.
Their story was incredible and this was all icing on the cake!
“I claimed him as mine and let him claim me as his. I surrendered.”
In Surrender by Fiona Cole we revisit Jake and Jackson who we met in Lovers. This is an M/M novella. Playful, steamy, sexy, and everything I love about Fiona Cole’s steamy and emotional writing. 5 stars.
Oh man, do I love Jake and Jackson!! I loved their story in Lovers and love them in Surrender!! Fiona Cole gives all the feels in this book! Jake just wants to be married to Jackson… and how gets gets that to happen is amazing!!
I love how Fiona Cole gives us books that make us feel! How she takes complex characters and gives them hope and love!! This novella is jam-packed with it all!!
I love novellas of our favorite characters! This glimpse into Jake and Jackson’s life was sweet, heartwarming, and hot. I forgot I was reading a novella and was disappointed when it ended lol. Jake and Jackson have really come into their own as a couple. Getting a glimpse of Andrew was hilarious! He was the best secondary character. I hope we see more of him. J & J are definitely one of my favorite couple of the series.
Surrender is a great little bonus story to give readers a hot and steamy glimpse at Jake and Jackson again. Fans of Fiona Cole will know all about the shaky ground and winding path these two have been on. We have seen them mentioned in several books along the way, and now that they are finally together, only one thing remains to bind them together.
Surrender is a quick read with so much meaning. All Jackson ever wanted was to have Jake as his own, so why is he procrastinating. Jake knows just how to make him surrender into wedded bliss. I loved seeing their relationship take it to the next level and that epilogue!!! Going back to a scene from another book and getting a glimpse at one of my favourite couples from Carina’s POV this time. It makes me want to read the whole series all over again.
A novella on Jack and Jackson after their story in Lovers, it would be great to read after Lovers but not necessarily.
In Surrender, this two Alpha who’s madly in love to each other is preparing their wedding. And as both are Alpha, there’s pull and push stronger on every decision couples have on preparing their big day.
This MM romance definitly hot in their little pages.
Definitly need to revisit Lovers after this cause Jake and Jackson chemistry? It’s combustible!
So this was one hot, quick read that I devoured.
Jackson and Jake’s story starts in ‘Lovers’ so this novella was a little treat and I loved being back with them.
They are engaged but Jackson keeps dragging his heels to set a date and Jake sets to find out why, as he can’t wait to make him his husband and will use whatever means to get the answers from him.
This book is everything I love about Cole’s writing, it’s fun, passionate and draws you right into the connection between this pair who are electric, filled with so much passion, love and admiration. They are still every bit as hot for each other and your kindle will be on fire with the heat these two bring.
I don’t think I’m ready to say goodbye to them and NEED more, I just love this couple!
ARC received for an honest review – thank you

If you’ve read Lovers then you know all about Jake and Jackson, if you haven’t read it you’re in for one wild ride. Buckle up and get ready to join these two men while they plan their wedding.
Surrender is a super quick, steamy, loveable novella. I loved every single moment of this story and of Jake and Jackson’s relationship. Jake and Jackson have so much chemistry and it is so easy to completely fall in love with these two and their relationship. Now I’m wondering how I can get an invite to their wedding reception because I’m just it will be perfection!
If you’ve read Lovers then this is the perfect addition to their story and if you haven’t this will give you a taste of their relationship and the rest of the Voyeur world and leave you wanting to know more. A MUST READ!
Oh what a sweet, perfect, EFFING HOT little novella for Jake and Jackson. If you’ve read Lovers, then I know you’ve already fallen in love with these two vulnerable yet growly men. Cue swooning and blushing all around. If you haven’t read Lovers yet, I bet you are jonesing to right about now! Fiona’s stories always ALWAYS have the perfect amount of heat, humor and heart, and Surrender is no exception! 5 dashing stars for two of my favorite book boyfriends!
I don’t know if I am just in a reading slump or what. Normally I love Fiona’s stories but I just couldn’t connect with this one. Jake & Jackson’s story is a hot one but I just wasn’t feeling it.
Love the cover and the fact that it is a quick read!
Ohhh Jackson. <3 He has the sweetest heart.
I loved seeing their struggles that so many couples face, and getting through it in the Jake and Jackson way.
This is a short story continuation of Jake and Jackson’s story. This is a short story with a huge punch! It’s best if you read Lovers first to get the full affect of the storyline but could be read alone. This is a must read to get that little extra HEA for these two.
The epilogue I never knew I wanted Reading Surrender was just great! I loved reading more of Jake and Jackson.
This short story felt like the extended epilogue of Lovers (a very long version) and I totally loved it. Jake and Jackson are just two amazing characters and I loved their chemistry together. Definitely a must read in this amazing series.
