Another GREAT story from Aubrey Wright. This is a slowish-burn second chance for two great characters.
Shania and Sean first met and got together in college. It was a one-night stand, or so they thought… Sean dropped out of college, pursuing his music career. Because they have mutual friends, they see each other occasionally, but try to avoid or ignore each other for the most part.
Sean is back in L.A., having just returned from a three-month world tour of DJ-ing and partying. His manager organises a trip to a day spa for him, as a reward for a job well done, and to just relax and unwind. And his masseuse just happens to be Shania! A slight wardrobe malfunction has her running out of the treatment room, and him running out of the day spa, headed back home.
As a high-profile (hopefully repeat) client, Shania’s boss is not happy with the situation, and makes her apologise to him with a complimentary gift basket from the spa. This is where they reconnect (as friends/acquaintances – to start off with). None of their friends know of their ‘first time’ history, and are curious as to why they’re spending time together.
A double wedding, and their obligatory bridal party duties, gives them more reasons to spend together. They make a deal and make the most of these opportunities, getting to know one another better, and support each other, as their feelings develop into more.
There’s plenty of drama, people sticking their noses in when it’s not wanted or needed, and lots of sweet moments, romance, sassiness and steam! The end also holds a couple of beautiful surprises. Definitely worth the read!
Can’t wait to see what Aubrey has planned next!
