There’s a fine line between lust and hate.I don’t care that Drew Merritt spent the last year transforming himself from grungy slob to sexy playboy. With messy, dirty blond hair and gorgeous eyes, his looks aren’t the problem. His mouth is.And the stupid things that come out of it.But after an emergency strands us together, and he does his damnedest to take care of me… Let’s just say there’s one … care of me…
Let’s just say there’s one thing we don’t clash on.
And it doesn’t involve talking.
I’ve despised Drew since I met him years ago. One weekend can’t change us that much, can it?
Spoiler alert: It doesn’t.
Except he left me a little keepsake.
And in nine months, I’ll have a surprise for Portland’s most notorious player.

Surpise, Baby! was a sweet, funny, witty, steamy, enemies to lovers story. It has a ton of feels that kept me entertained from start to finish. The characters were likeable and their chemistry was great. This book has a great plot and I especially like that there is a good combination of funny, sexy, & steamy dialogue. I highly recommend reading it! This is a companion book to All About The D but you do not have to read it before reading this book. Both are standalone books with a HEA.

Surprise, Baby by Lex Martin and Leslie McAdam. This Enemies to Lovers RomCom is so entertaining! Kendall and Andrew “Drew” are best friends of the characters Eve and Josh from “All About the D”. Although this book is a RomCom there are meaningful deeper issues underlining this story. Drew is a reformed playboy who had a life threatening situation that gave him a second chance at being a better person. Kendall is a strong career woman who is not willing to take any BS from Drew. When these two are put in a one-on-one situation it is explosively HOT! Drew has all the right ingredients for an awesome book boyfriend! I loved this newest release by the duo Lex Martin and Leslie McAdam!
Surprise, Baby! is the anticipated companion novel to All About the D by Lex Martin and Leslie McAdam and it was totally worth the wait! If you loved that story as much as I did, then you might have secretly hoped that something would happen between Drew and Kendall because the second I met them, that thought immediately crossed my mind. So when I discovered that they were FINALLY getting their own story I was so freaking excited!
This highly entertaining story is chockfull of hilarious and snarky banter that will leave you laughing time and time again throughout. Drew and Kendall’s steamy chemistry was super hot and their flirty moments had my heart swooning in overdrive. These two are truly the perfect example of an ideal match when it comes to an enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy and I absolutely devoured every beautifully captivating moment that had me falling even more in love with these authors and their unique writing style!
If you love a good enemies-to-lovers tale full of surprising moments, then you are going to want to one-click this extraordinary story today and discover just how steamy Drew and Kendall’s chemistry really is!

I love and adore hate to love! This one takes it one step further with a body, attitude and lifestyle transformation too. The chemistry between Drew and Kendall is super hot. Throw in the huge surprise for Kendall that she even likes Drew was such an added bonus. I loved how Kendall comes to the realization that Drew is no longer the same man she initially met. The banter is great, the sex is off the charts, and story line is simply fun. Great, easy read when you simply want to be entertained and want getting some steamy scenes in there too. (Review by Terri “Jane”)
This story was an easy to read, funny, friend to lovers. There was drama and little touches of angst. This is the second book in the series but can also be read as a stand-alone as the authors give you background so it’s easy to follow.
Steamy new enemies-to-lovers romance/standalone romantic comedy
Lex Martin has a steamy new enemies-to-lovers romance/standalone romantic comedy!
Steamy new enemies-to-lovers romance/standalone romantic comedy!
Surprise, Baby was not what I was expecting. It had one of my FAVORITE tropes, but sadly, this book wasn’t my cup of tea.
Some of the humor I found hilarious and even made me laugh out loud, but most of the time I felt it wasn’t funny and maybe a bit too juvenile for the characters. The chemistry between the two main characters were great!!! Some of the HOTTEST sex scenes I’ve ever read.
Even though this was an okay read in my book, don’t let that stop you from reading it. It could be your next favorite!!!
I’ve always find Lex’s book so amusing and exciting. For sure, they guarantee a great time reading and this was not the exception.
The plot was well-paced, filled with sexy, fun and sweet moments. Drew and Kendall were amazing together. I truly enjoyed reading about their personal development and how they got to fit together as a couple.
If you are looking for a fun read, full of emotional and enjoyable situations, you can’t go wrong with this one.
Surprise, Baby! by Lex Martin and Leslie McAdam is a seriously hot, funny book that you can’t put down!
Drew and Kendall absolutely can’t stand each other. Or rather, Kendall can’t stand Drew. He started off on the wrong foot with her at their first meeting and it’s gone down hill since then. Kendall never expected to get snowed in with Drew. It is actually her worst nightmare, until it isn’t. Kendall and Drew learn that first impressions don’t always last and sometimes people really can change.
This book cracked me up but also gave me some feels. I love the nicknames Drew comes up with for his friends. These characters are so down to earth and amazing and it feels like they are real people.
I absolutely hands down recommend this book!
YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!! After reading All About The D, I COULD NOT WAIT for Drew! In AATD I hated Drew, mostly because he was a stupid drunk bastard of a friend. When starting a new book though, you gotta keep an open mind. Man, am I glad I did! Now I can’t decided if I like Josh or Drew better!!!! Well, I mean, they are totally different, so I guess I can love them equally right?
I really had hoped that something would come of Kendall and Drew, I even secretly wished we would witness her kicking him in the balls. Sorry, not sorry! LOLOL. From the moment of their first encounter in this book, I new it was gonna be a good one. Lex and Leslie were FOR SURE going to take us for an interesting ride. I was really excited to see that Kendall was just as quirky as drew. In fact she was WAY funnier than I had ever imagined. She seemed pretty serious, and we only got glimpses of her here and there in AATD. This teaches you good, don’t judge a book by it’s cover! Drew and Kendall were both anything but what might have been expected!!
Banter, oh em gee the banter!! Between Kendall and Drew, but also between these two and everything they came across, the banter was FANTASTIC! There was a moment With Kendall and Evie that I DIED LAUGHING. I immediately posted on Facebook that Lex and Leslie had broken me. That’s how much I was in hysterics! Some of these one-liners were just too good for words! Then from banter we get to sexy times, and holy crap were there some sexy times. I loved how these two got together, it was perfectly genius. The love-to-hate was just so perfect. I especially loved how Drew and Kendall surprised each other.
Now let’s talk about the changes, because holy crap did Drew change!! Learning how much Drew had changed, and then also hearing all of the crap he shit on everyone before his little overhaul, MIND-BLOWING. I feel like I was just as mind-blown as Kendall. I mean he practically became a Saint LOL. The steps toward maturity that he took were pretty amazing. Speaking of amazing, I CAN’T LEAVE OUT BEE!!! She is the most precious and HYSTERICAL character in this book. I loved seeing Drew with his grandma, it was so damn adorable! There were many of those moments, adorable. From seeing him with bee to seeing him with a pregnant Kendall, these ovaries were weeping!
I am always really big on supporting characters and I really don’t think this book would be the same without them. Just how Drew and Kendall were in AATD, Josh and Evie were great. I also loved the addition of Tristan. He was the perfect secondary character, because he added an entire new layer to this book. Between him, his interactions with Kendall, his interactions with Drew, they were all fantastic. In fact, I really hope he gets his own story, because he totally deserves one!
If you’ve made it through my babble until now, you totally deserve an award. But Lex and Leslie really deserve an award! This book had the perfect amount of everything that a RomCom needs. It was ABSOLUTELY HYSTERICAL, but also had enough other emotions to make it more than just a funny book. It was pretty damn perfect ladies!
So this is my first book by both of these authors and let me just say that I have absolutely fell in love with their words!!! I fell into this book and couldn’t crawl my way back out and I loved every single second of it!!! It was funny, dramatic, romantic and there was some tears shed I also wanted to throw my kindle a couple times because I couldn’t reach in and smack some people. I so want more from these authors so now I have an even more tbr pile!!! Let’s just say I’ve already bought one book and they made an appearance in this book so I will read their story soon. I can’t believe it took me this long to read these two!!! I am not going to spoil anything for anyone because I hate that when it happens but I will tell you that I highly recommend this book!! I was so pleasantly surprised to find that I loved it as much as I do. I finished this book in one sitting!!! So go buy this book!!!! – By Tina
What a fun, smart, sassy and sexy read by these two authors. They make a great duo
Drew is hilarious and his inner monologue was great. It’s important getting into the head of the hero and he did not disappoint! Kendall, aka KK, Ken was just as great. She’s incredibly smart and just the right amount of sassy and fun. Bottom line, these two were inevitable.
I laughed, swooned and smiled through this entire journey. You should join in on the fun!
Steamy new enemies-to-lovers romance/standalone romantic comedy
I adored this story! I loved All About the D and was super excited to find out that Drew & Kendall were getting their own story.
This story had it all – love and romance.
“Seeing her in this moment reminds me of the first time I looked up at the night sky and saw ten million stars shining back at me. Overwhelmed Unworthy.”
Laugh out loud comedy.
“Maybe this little redhead has always driven me nuts, and now she’s literally driving my nuts.”
And of course lots of sexiness.
Sometimes there is nothing better than hate sex and when it turned into so much more, it made it that much sweeter. The miscommunications made me crazy, but I am so happy for Drew & Kendall. I loved how much we saw of Josh & Evie too! I really hope this writing duo continues because they sure know how to write an entertaining story! (4.5 stars)
I absolutely loved this book! Kendall & Drew have known each other for years thanks to both of their best friends who are married. When their friends want them all to spend Thanksgiving together at their cabin in the mountains what could go wrong? Kendall can’t stand Drew who has been into partying & is always in the headlines. Drew is always putting Kendall down & picking on her. When Evie & Josh ask Drew to drive Kendall up to the cabin because of a storm what could go wrong? One weekend together & Kendall has a different opinion of Drew. Could Drew really be turning his life around? Can Kendall have a friendship with him? When Drew leaves her with a keepsake from the weekend, their lives are turned upside down. Through in a couple of twists & this story was outstanding! Leslie McAdam & Lex Martin wrote a great story that had me hooked from the beginning. Five star read!
Best Enemies to Lovers of 2019!
I want my own Drew. He’s sexy, arrogant, God’s gift to women and now we have his story. His 2.0 persona makes him a 10! How did Kendall ever resist him? Oh, and Kendall. She is a Rockstar in her own right. She’s smart, owns her own company, has the best friends and doesn’t take crap from anyone. But she’s also vulnerable and looking for what every woman wants, a good relationship. Can Drew really be the one to give in to all her needs or will their animosity towards each other win? Can Kendall really trust the new Drew when he says all the right things?
Grab this hilarious story from this duo of authors. It’s a story that will keep you laughing out loud throughout.

I tell you…when these two authors come together and write a rom-com, there is no holding back. Seriously some pretty funny scenarios written!
When Kendall Greer is trying to escape a unsatisfying night, who in the world in the last person she wants to run into while waiting for the elevator? Drew Demeritt, he’s the best friend of Kendall’s best friend and Kendall’s thorn in her side.
As if getting busted leaving a booty call by Drew isn’t bad enough, now she finds herself invited to spend Thanksgiving weekend with her friends and who will be there? No one other than Drew!
The weekend starts with a storm and ends with an unfortunate event and a package that will be with them forever.
Enemies to Lovers to Misunderstandings, all wrapped up in this good rom-com.

“Try not, sweetheart. Do or do not”
What a fantastical journey!
Drew is a sexy good looking Instagram sensation that has made it his life goal to enjoy every sin offered – some even twice.
Kendall is Ms. no nonsense. She has had to suffer Drew and his antics for years since they share mutual friends. Every time he enters her breathing space he sets her nerves afire because he is nothing but trouble it couldn’t possibly because she feels anything for him? Right?
When Kendall and Drew find themselves in a bit of a predicament hearts begin to thaw as the chemistry between them sparks to life leaving them both with lasting memories
This was such a funny, sweet and downright “hits all the feels good notes” romance
This is a standalone from the “all about the D” series.
The copy I read was comp
