No need to visit the ocean. The ocean is coming to visit you… to convince skeptical authorities of the risk, the likelihood of a more powerful seismic event grows…
Excellent science fiction novel about seismic activity

Informative and unique but a bit beyond my ability to absorb — but highly recommended to those who have interest and skill to read and understand,

Really good final moments of a lot of people. Sprinkled with a nerdy group trying to predict and warn those far enough to survive.
Makes me glad ‘for the oceans he has set their bars.’

This book shows how global warming may sneak up on us. Will we believe what science is telling us?

A very believable book. Living in Florida, while reading this I was wondering where I would evacuate to! While I was reading this there were 2 separate earthquakes one in NJ and one in NC, they added to the drama of reading this book.

This story highlights the danger of buying into consensus science and failing to consider the opinion of scientists who hold a different view from the majority who have staked their reputation on the currently accepted science. A great read.

This book was fascinating! I’ve dreamed about big waves crashing down on me so this brought back memories of that. I enjoyed Macy and her team of scientists.

For a person who lives in SoCal,it was interesting to have a book about East coast Earthquakes. The story takes off really quick and keeps you wanting to find out how big this quake is going to be. It’s a clever idea and a good book.

I read this book while on vacation near Assateague Island. It held my attention till I was through. I couldn’t put it down. I kept looking at the ocean and the waves rolling to shore. It is certainly the best book I read this year and I read about a book a week.
My only negative comment is that at the end you talk about people living on the slopes of Mt Vesuvius as Sicilians. This is wrong, Mt Vesuvius is around 400 miles from the nearest part of Sicily. I lived in Naples when I was in High School. Vesuvius over looks Naples. The towns on its slopes might be called suburbs of Naples, but I don’t think the residents call themselves Neopolitans.

The reason I said it was “scary” not because of it being spooky but because it could actually happen in our world today. The first one or two chapters I got bogged down a bit because of all the technical verbage. Once that was done and action began, it was a page-turner for me.
I couldn’t put it down, once I started reading.
