Some people call me an assassin, I prefer the term bounty hunter. In a world where magic is hidden from the general population, I’m hired to keep our secrets safe and take care of rogues by whatever means necessary. When I accidentally targeted the wrong person, the Supernatural Bureau of Investigation offered me a deal — go to jail or work for them. Their first official request was to locate a … request was to locate a vampire I thought I had killed over a year ago: my ex-boyfriend. Now I’m ordered to deliver him to them without harming a hair on his gorgeous head.
That was going to be a problem. By the time I find him, he’s going to wish he had stayed dead.
Supernatural Slayer is an action-packed urban fantasy romp through Barcelona with an assorted cast of witches, vampires, and shifters. It may also feature a snarky gargoyle or two.
“No human beings were harmed in the writing of this book — only supernaturals.”

Bring on the Super’s!! This was a great action-packed story with likable characters who were a lot of fun to read. I am looking forward to seeing what happens next in the series!!
I was gifted an ARC in return of an honest review.
Aisha is a half witch and also a bounty hunter known as the Supernatural Slayer. On a blind date she meets a fae named Rafael and spends the night with him only to discover that he works for the Supernatural Bureau of Investigations where she is on their third most wanted list. After just finishing killing a vampire Rafael sees her and arrests her. Ailah is given a choice spend the rest of he life in prison or work for the bureau for two years. Her first assignment is to bring in a vampire named Paul who is planning to expose that supernaturals are for real which the bureau believes will result in an blood bath. The only problem is Paul is her ex boy friend and she thought she killed him a year ago. Fast moving and enjoyable. I recommend this book.
I really enjoyed this book. It’s the first I have read of this author, and I will definitely be looking for more.
The characters are easily likeable and well written, and I love the sass and snark. The storyline moves pretty consistently, and with a few twists and turns and fight scenes, it will hold your interest till the last page.
I was drawn into this messy world of vampires, shifters and other magical creatures from page one! The story turns in unexpected ways that is very clever – you just have to go on reading to see what happens next 🙂 just one more page… I loved it how the physical world of Barcelona was built up, I felt like I was there myself. It’s not that easy. The only downer for me was that it was too short, I completely missed that the book was ending. Can’t wait to see where Aisha and Rafael end up when the story continue.
This is one of those books that grabs hold of you from the first chapter and holds tight until you finish. I loved the “bad girl” persona, her best friend, Noor, and the whole world she lives in. The supernatural politics and their “police”, SBI, are not something she wants to be involved with. Surprise, she ends up with more than she ever expected or wanted. I must say her fighting skills are off the charts and boy can she take a punch or 10. I think Mateu is my favorite supporting character. I really, really loved this book and want so much more of Aisha and company. I volunteered to read an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.
A very well written book that takes an interesting spin on “supernatural beings”. I enjoyed the read and couldn’t stop turning the pages until I was done. I look very forward to reading more from this author!
Pick it up for a gripping read.
I got sucked into this book fast. I read until I couldn’t keep my eyes open anymore and then woke up and finished the last tiny bit. I just had a ball following Aisha’s adventures and being thrown for a loop half way through the story. She is definitely one feisty and snarky girl! This is my first book by the author and I just have to say I really liked her writing style. This is a world I could read more about! She also does a wonderful job setting up the story and dropping mysterious hints to keep you guessing. There’s plenty of magical creatures abound, all with varying personalities. They certainty keep the story interesting! I can’t wait to read book two and find out what happens to Aisha next.
If you’re looking for a good, humorous, action-packed and kind of sexy urban fantasy then I would recommend this book!
Supernatural Slayer is the first book in the Supernatural Slayer series.
I voluntarily received and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
Final Rating: 5 Stars
What a “supper bad a$$” is our Aisha. Devyn Jayse is an exceptional author whose writing draws you in from page 1 and keeps you enthralled though out until the last page and you are left wanting more. This first in series has it all: great story line, fantastic characters, lots of action, plenty of twists and turns, etc. Please give us more (book 2) soon.
Allow a day for this lovely YA tale. I read an ARC and this voluntary review is my own opinion.
